Free trees and Earth Day workshops at home improvement centers

Lowe's is giving away a million free trees in stores on Saturday, April 23, in honor of Earth Day. Can't get much greener than that!

Home Depot is offering three free Earth Day Weekend Workshops for kids and adults on Saturday:

At 9 a.m., kids can make and take an Easter Planter Basket and get a free Kids Workshop Apron, pin and diploma; at 10 a.m. there's a Live Green-Save Green workshop on saving energy; 1 p.m. is an eco-gardening class.
