NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology will imprint Earthlings' names on a microchip on Curiosity, the Mars Science Laboratory Rover, blasting off on a Martian mission between Nov. 25 and Dec. 18.

Look forward to watching more dumpster diving for coupons on TLC.

The cable network has renewed the hit series "Extreme Couponing" for a second season, ordering 12 new episodes of the clipping-and-saving reality show set to return in September. There are two episodes left this season.

The reality show, which airs in back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. Wednesdays, has turned coupon-clipping into a pop-culture phenomenon. This week's new show, on at 9:30 p.m., features an Ohio woman with a family of nine scoring $3,100 of groceries for less than $100.

The debut season has featured women dumpster diving for coupon inserts and shows tense moments at the register as the supersavers clip and shop their way to massive stockpiles of food and toiletry items. The show routinely features women making gigantic grocery grabs for dozens of items they score for next to nothing by stacking coupons, getting everything from frozen pizzas to mustard and Maalox for pennies.

Catch up when TLC airs an "Extreme Couponing" marathon at 3 p.m. on June 16.

Banana Republic has several colorful tops and ruffled dresses just right for summer. I liked this top for $34, though it doesn't qualify for the discount because it's on sale. With the 40 percent discount, though, you can shop new items like this dress, regularly $130.

Get a $10 off $30 purchase coupon from Radio Shack when you text FAST 2 SHACK to 74225. The text coupon is good for the first 25,000 to sign up for alerts. There are a few retrictions. The offer is good through June 23. (The coupon was in the second text I received.)

Radio Shack just tweeted the offer yesterday, so there should be plenty of them left.

Be sure to grab a copy of the Wednesday, June 1, edition of the Sun Sentinel to get a coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase at Publix. This is just one more way the newspaper helps save you money (and pays for itself).
