Best Buy to offer free shipping on everything through Dec. 27

Best Buy is offering an early stocking stuffer to online shoppers this holiday season: Free shipping on everything.

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1, through Dec. 27, the big box retailer is offering free shipping on more than 400,000 items with no minimum purchase required, according to a news release.

The offer makes good sense for the retailer. Typically, more than 60 percent of consumers will likely cancel their purchase if free shipping is not offered, according to a May survey by comScore, which tracks digital retail spending. Also, 49 percent of online transactions included free shipping, comScore said.
