Free Dr. Seuss' 'The Lorax' reading event and goody bag at Target on Saturday

Dr. Seuss will be on the loose at Target stores on Saturday for a reading event to celebrate the National Education Association’s Read Across America program.

From to 9 to 11 a.m., kids can read with trees, please, as Target employees share Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" in the reading nook and give out reusable Target bags filled with fun activities.

The event is in partnership with the National Education Association's Read Across America day on March 2, which just happens to be Dr. Seuss' birthday. Visit the NEA website for tools for teachers and parents to help kids become better readers. There also are links to articles on how to raise early readers and five ways to make reading more fun, among other resources.
