Happy Leap Day!

Since it's a Leap Year, on Wednesday, you get a whole extra day -- free -- so let's celebrate with freebies!

If today, is your birthday, you get even more stuff, since since you only get to celebrate twice every decade or so. Blame Julius Caesar. He invented the concept a few thousands years ago.

Jump on these freebies and deals while you can. They're gone after today and won't be back until 2016.

Quaterdeck Restaurants: Buy one, get one free (equal or lesser value) with
purchase of two beverages with coupon on Facebook; locations in Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation and Jupiter; expires Feb. 29

McDonalds: Buy one 10 piece Chicken McNuggets at regular price and get the second for 29 cents in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Wednesday only.

Papa John's: Online only: Buy a large specialty pizza and get a medium 1-topping pizza for 29 cents. Use code MED29 at checkout. Expires March 1.

Denny's: Get 29 percent off your check on Wednesday through Sunday with a coupon (scroll down to see it). It expires March 3.

Einstein Bros. Bagels: Buy one, get one free lunch sandwich through Facbook. Click on the link and the coupon will be e-mailed to you. Print it or show it on your phone to get your free eats; it expires March 4.

Boston Market: 10 percent off your total purchase with a coupon; expires Feb. 29.

Quiznos: Free fountain drink with any sub purchase with coupon; expires March 7.

Subway: Free cookie with any purchase on Wednesday.

Outback Steakhouse: Wish an Outback fan born on Leap Year Day happy birthtday on Facebook and be entered to win free Outback for four years.

Zona Fresca: Leap Year babies, born on Feb. 29, get a complimentary charbroiled chicken taco or bean and cheese burrito and a soda with ID at South Florida Zona Fresca locations, open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

ACE Hardware: Reward members get 29 percent off a single item priced $30 or less with a coupon.
