Navarro Discount Pharmacy opens first store in Broward

Navarro Discount Pharmacy will open its first Broward County store in Pembroke Pines next week.

The new 16,000-square-foot store is located at 15825 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines. The store will open Thursday, March 8 at 8 a.m.

“This is an area in West Broward where Navarro hopes to target Puerto Rican and Venezuelan Hispanics living in the area,” said Jeanne Becker, spokeswoman with Becker Public Relations.

The South Florida-based pharmacy brand has 30 locations in Miami-Dade County. The pharmacy will offer it’s own private label brand called Vida Mia inside the Pembroke Pines store.

Each store sells pharmacy supplies, personal care and household products, limited grocery selections, some electronics and has a fragrance counter. Navarro Discount Pharmacy stores also offer photo processing services and sell cell phones from a select few major service providers.

Navarro Discount Pharmacy holds a 17 percent market share in South Florida with reported annual sales near $320 million, according to a press release.
