As the school year comes to a close, here's a way to show a teacher your appreciation and get something for yourself.

Nominate a favorite Central or South Florida educator in Pollo Tropical's Teacher of the Year campaign and you'll get a free meal.

Parents can nominate a student's favorite teacher through May 31 and get a coupon for a free $4.25 Tropichop meal with a fountain drink purchase.

According to the rules, 13 Florida teachers (one from each county) will win free Pollo Tropical for a year, valued at $780. The school with the most overall nominations gets a $500 donation. Entries must include the teacher's full name, school name, school address and phone number along with the subject and grade. Winners are selected on or about June 1.
