A Publix grocery store in West Palm Beach is set to be demolished and rebuilt in the coming months, the Palm Beach Post is reporting.

The 40,000-square-foot supermarket at 831 Village Blvd., in the Village Commons shopping center off Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard will be torn down and replaced with a new, 45,000-square-foot store on the same site. Boca Raton-based Woolbright Development Inc. owns the shopping plaza.

The new store should open in 2013.

The shopping center also houses several local restaurants, such as Duffy’s, Panera Bread and Big City Bagel, which should remain open during the construction.
