Free, half-price savings on summer fun through September

School's out and summer's in!

Since South Florida public school kids are officially on summer vacation, you might be looking for some fun things to do over the next 75 days. We have a few ideas to help you save, from free bowling and movies to 2-for-1 deals on land and sand to get you through the long, hot months ahead.

FREE BOWLING: Register at KidsBowlFree.com and children can bowl two free games a day at participating centers in Tamarac, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Miami and Orlando through August.

FREE & DOLLAR MOVIES: Free or dollar family movies like "Rango" and "Dolphin Tales" at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays at Regal, Muvico and select Cinemark theaters through August.

SUPER SUMMER SAVINGS CARD: Print the free savings card to get 2-for-1 visits to 30 South Florida museums and attractions. Buy one, get one free at Butterfly World, Water Taxi, the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Billie Swamp Safari, air boat rides at Sawgrass Recreation Park and many others. The card is good through Sept. 30.

BAMM: Broward Attractions & Museum Month: Join one South Florida museum or cultural attraction and get in to 17 others for free; expires June 30.

SOUTH FLORIDA PARENTING SUMMER FUN PASS: Get $400 in savings, offering children 12 and under free admission and special offers at popular family attractions with adult admission at Zoo Miami, Jungle Island, the Museum of Discovery and Science and the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach. Cost is $12.95.

FAIRCHILD TROPICAL BOTANIC GARDEN: Free entrance on Wednesday, Juy 4 and Aug. 1 and each Sunday from Aug. 12 through Nov. 7. Explore 83 acres of world-class gardens in Coral Gables, from palms, cycads, flowering trees and breathtaking vistas.

Apple Camp: Kids ages 8-12 can learn how to make an iMovie during a free three-day workshop at South Florida Apple Retail Stores. Sign up to be notified when registration opens or check the local Apple store event's page.

SUMMER SAVINGS PASS: Get unlimited visits to Zoo Miami, Miami Seaquarium, Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee and The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale all summer long. Buy a pass for $55 plus tax for adults and $45 plus tax for kids and make unlimited trips to each park through Sept. 30.

WET & WILD BACKYARD FUN: Disney offers do-it-yourself ideas for cool summer games like Splash Volleyball, Water-Balloon Tosses and Freezing-Water Tag.

RAPIDS WATER PARK: Buy full price admission to the Riviera Beach water park and get a 2-for-1 voucher on weekdays when you pay full priced admission through August. All-day weekday admission is $36.95; Saturday-Sunday is $40.95; Sunset Special Admission after 4 p.m. weekdays is $18, after 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday $20.

DAVE & BUSTER'S: Get half-price games every Wednesday. Join the Rewards Club and get $10 in free game play with purchase of $10 game play


PALM BEACH ZOO: Safari Nights are held 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Fridays through October with live music, educational games, crafts, animal encounters, free carousel rides and an Interactive Fountain show. Discounted admission: $14.95 for adults and $8.95 for children ages 3-12. Child ticket includes a coupon for a free kid's meal with purchase of an adult meal at Tropics Cafe.
