$6 admission at Flamingo Gardens on Saturdays

Get $6 admission to Flamingo Gardens in Davie on Saturdays in September. Also, enjoy two-for-one admission on Tuesday through the end of the month. No coupon is necessary.

Admission is normally $18 for adults and $10 for children 4-11.

One of South Florida's oldest tropical botanical gardens, the park features 60 acres of tropical and sub-tropical plants and some of the largest and oldest trees in the area. Plus, peek inside the restored Wray Home to get a glimpse of 1930s life. Take a narrated tram tour, which costs, extra, to learn about all the wonders of this popular Broward County attraction.

Kids will especially enjoy the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary featuring 90 species, the largest collection of Florida native wildlife in the state. There also is free-flight Aviary with 250 birds.

Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The gardens are at 3750 S.Flamingo Road in Davie; call 954-473-2955; FlamingoGardens.org.
