Sawgrass Mills to open at 9 p.m. Thanksgiving night for Black Friday

This gives new meaning to early bird.

Don't linger over that turkey dinner if you want to snap up Black Friday bargains at Sawgrass Mills this year.

The 350-store Sunrise outlet mall will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving night so eager holiday shoppers can start snapping up deals for Black Friday, according to a release.

The Simon property will be open for more than 24 hours. This is earliest the 350-store outlet mall has opened on the holiday. Last year, the mall opened at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening.

“For great value and incredible brand selection, Sawgrass Mills can’t be beat,” said Joellyn Fellmeth, director of marketing and business development at Sawgrass Mills. “Our loyal local shoppers and out of town visitors will appreciate the additional time to shop, while our retailers can cash in on the start of another busy holiday season.”

Holiday shopping hours will be 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 9 p.m.,
10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, November 24 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 25.
