Ivanka Trump gift to support Girl Up

Ivanka Trump Jewelry, a high-end jewelry line by The Donald's daughter and a successful businesswoman in her own right, is offering a bracelet design for $35 to support Girl Up. It's a cute bracelet with two charms.

I bought it for a friend, and much to my surprise, received a $100 gift card as a bonus, to buy anything I might want. Of course, her jewelry is too pricey for me, but it was a generous gesture all the same.

Trump's $30 Girl Up Bracelet benefits the United Nation Foundation's Girl Up Campaign, which raises awareness and funds for several U.N. programs that help in-need adolescent girls, preparing them for the next generation of leadership.

Girl Up bracelet.

"The best" hot chocolate, $19.99, at Williams-Sonoma

hot%20chocolate.jpgI don't know if it's the best, but now that South Florida's weather has turned "cold," people are getting in the spirit of all things North. So why not hot chocolate?

Williams-Sonoma, which has all kind of holiday delicacies, is selling a 12-oz tub of hot chocolate for $19.99. Peppermint hot chocolate also is available. And you can pick up handcrafted (really?) marshmallows to go with it ($16.50)!

All fun aside, the description really does sound appealing: "Inspired by the famed Café Angélina in Paris, where steaming pots of velvety hot chocolate are served with bowls of whipped cream alongside, ours is intensely chocolatey, rich and smooth. Made from shavings of premium chocolate rather than cocoa powder to yield a well-rounded body, rich taste, smooth texture and exquisite aroma. We've chosen an artisanal bittersweet chocolate by Guittard, San Francisco chocolate makers since the 19th century."

Could make a nice gift for a chocolate lover. Maybe Williams-Sonoma will let you try some in one of its stores before buying. On a cold day, like this one.

Find a holiday shoe and then find a deal

Stuart%20Weitzman%20glitter%20pumps.jpgThe holidays call for glitter.

This "Swoon" Glitter pump from Stuart Weitzman is new the holidays and gorgeous. If you can afford, $335 for the designer shoe at Bloomingdale's, go for it.

But if you're on a budget like me, pick a shoe you like for the holidays and then shop around at more affordable venues.

This sparkly pump by N.Y.L.A. Karlie is on clearance for $39.94 at DSW, for example. DWS%20sparkly%20pump.jpg

Remember that a little glitter goes a long way so if you choose a sparkly pump, you should wear a black dress with accent jewelry. A sequin dress with glitter pumps should be reserved for Lady Gaga.
