Where to buy Marley & Me DVD
I'm a bad, bad shopper.
I saw the Marley & Me DVD, released Tuesday, at Publix last night and I just added it to my groceries. No comparison shopping.
My fellow shopping blogger Kathy Haines and I were extras in the movie, you see, so it is our first chance to pick out the "background artists." I was anxious also to see the deleted scenes and gag reel. The gag reel is the best, especially a hilarious comment by actress Kathleen Turner, who played the dog trainer in the movie.
So if you're Marley fan (and you should be. After all, the writer of the book John Grogan once was the Sun Sentinel's Palm Beach County columnist), where do you buy the DVD?
Target is the winner so far, with a price of $16.99 for the single disc version. I paid $19.99 at Publix, silly me. Target also has a 2-disc "Bad Dog" version for $22.99 and a Blu-Ray disc package for $26.99.
Wal-Mart prices has an exclusive: the single disc version with a photo book for $19.96, if you're really a Marley fan or you just want photos of Owen Wilson or Jennifer Aniston.
For couch potatoes, there's Amazon.com, which offers the single disc for $16.99 with free shipping.
Incidentally, I'm typing this at the very desk I sit in during the Sun Sentinel newsroom scene. Unfortunately, Owen is no longer sitting next to me. -- Marcia "Bargain Hunter" Pounds
