Isn't it time for children's services to step in?

Nadya is facing foreclosure. She doesn't have any money coming into the house. She has 14 children.

Shouldn't California's children protective services agency step in and make sure the children are being cared for well?

Gee, I have six children I can't pay the rent and take care of those children, I think I'll have EIGHT more babies so us taxpayers can pay for them. That's the kind of stuff that really gets my goat. She's an idiot.

The only way the State should step in is to give these children to loving homes. Not to pay for this woman's bills because she can't keep her legs closed.

They should take her children away and give them to loving homes that can PROVIDE for them!

Absolutelynot: I agree that the state should foot the bill -- directly. There should be social workers checking in to make sure the children are well-provided for in light of recent developments.

Are you kidding me? what we have to support people like this woman who knew exacltly what was coming for her. No income, no job 6 kids, now eight more? Enough with this kind of people who take advantage of our taxes and govermental programs to support their laziness. It does not make any sense. She should be prosecuted for negligence as well as the doctor who participated in this circus.

Yes they need to be sure these children are being cared for properly. I can't see how anyone with no job can take care of 1 child properly much less 14. This woman is irresponsible for bringing these children into this world with her situation.

These chidlren need to be taken away from her, at least until she can obtain a job that would allow her to support all the children for the long term. It is unlikley that she will find such a job in the immediate future.

Whatever shed does, she should stay in California. She is their problem, not ayone else's and all the children should stay there as well. Have the doctors that were with her through the in vitro, support the children. It is unfortunate but the government really cannot support irresponsible women like her.

I think the doctor is as negligent as the idiot mother, so my solution is to make him the father on all 14 birth certificates. Since he seemed to see nothing wrong with taking her money and doing the in vitro stuff, then he should have no problem supporting financially the 14 kids he created.

Otherwise all 14 children need to be taken away permanently and there needs to be a court order on a portion of all future wages to cover the medical expense CA has incurred. This woman can not be allowed to pull such a stunt with no ramifications.

If I had 22 dogs and couldn't provide for them because I lost my home to foreclosure, the SPCA would take those dogs away from me, right? Are children less important?

What is the best insterest of the children?

She stated nationally that she could provide for her children no matter what & give them love & be there for them..What mother could say that..HER..shes a blimpy idiot but the children should not have to suffer for they're mom;s sudpity. Let the state take the children & try to find proper home with love, attention, care etc. as one of the six children stated: she's going to be EXHAUSTED.

Without a home the State should step in and take all the children citing her inability to provide a decent home for them due to her lack of responsibility by choosing to have more children when she couldn't provide for the ones she has. These children deserve better parents than she is.

The woman has issues. she'll get a book deal or a write up in some psychology magazine. she'll get some money. but it should be confiscated to repay the tax payers.

I cannot believe that the doctor is not being stripped of his license to practice. I agree with her mother: "It is unconscionable" that she would decide to have all these children with no means to support them financially, physically, or emotionally. She is delusional at best, but the doctor has the responsibility to screen his patients for their menthal stability, and overall ability to take care of multiples. She obviusly thought this was a great way to make money and be famous. Now she has a website to collect donations. What a surprise...

Yes,they should step in. She already has 6 kids. Never should have had anymore. She doesn't have a place to live, she is relying on the public to help her out.. I have 2 kids, a husband & a full time job. I'd love to get free hand outs and movies deals. But this is reality, I work for what I have. Those kids deserve alot better.

This is the work of the radical left. Dumping babies on society and forcing more public debt. She is an Iraqi that is trying to doe her part to force our government to collapse from indebtedness.

The only way the state should step in is if the there is probable cause.....no one has really giving Nayda a chance to show that she can take care of her kids...everybody goes thru something and what gives anyone the right to say how many children that this lady can have....heck there are people with 1 kid and can't aford to take care of he/she but that motivates them to do so....

Stan: There is no need to go besmirching Iraqis.

Child Protective services is a joke in some places. I know of a mother and step dad who kick and punch their gradeschool kids, neglect them, won't buy them clothes or shoes, rarely make a meal for them, rarely celebrate their birthdays or christmas, although they spend money on themselves by buying new cars, boats, atv's etc, and fail to parent the children.

The real father wants them desperately, was cheated out of custody by the Utah court system that favors the mother, the kids all want to live with the real dad, but the officials in the small isolated community the mom lives in, will never file any reports when the abuse is reported by the father, the CPS and police dept officials all grew up with the mom and step dad, the abusers, and won't act against the custodial mom and new step dad, who they go to church with.

The oldest boy who is 12 now, is showing signs of anger and misbehavior already, he wants to live with his dad, the courts don't care, the mom won't let him nor the other kids live with their dad because she would lose the child support money, she also cares about her public image especially in church, she has never held a job and doesn't want to work, even though all the kids are in school all day, she wants to keep her passive income steam comming in. Oh, and her new husband is living off a disability settlement he won, he was supposidly injured so bad he can never work again, although he climbs ladders, reroofs the house, carries 100 lb sacks and lifts heavy objects and works under the table driving a truck.

Got to love those Children's Protective Service reps, the eldest 12 year old boy was punched, thrown to the floor and kicked last week by the 6'4" 250lb cowboy boot wearing step dad, as of yet the CPS has done nothing and never has after numerous previous reports of neglect, and hitting and kicking of the kids, and the cop who showed up to investigate this recent occurence told the grandmother that he believs that the mom and step dad, whom he went to school with, would never abuse a child. The mom has cut the children off of access to the phone and access to their dad, since he does not have physical custody, hangs up when anyone calls to inquire, or won't answer the phone, and turned the paternal grandmother away at the door, when she came to inquire about the kids, and won't let anyone talk to the kids. CPS says if there are no defining bruises or a head injury then they won't act and will close the inquiry, even though all the children corraberate the beating. Since no one on the outside has spoken to the kids, since the mom won't let that happen, no one knows if the punch to the stomach left any bruises. It is quite sad really, there are guns in the home, the step dad doesn't always secure them, we are afraid of what will happen in the future.

Great system we have here.

Dgirl: Your example you share of children services failing these kids shows that agencies can only go so far.

Try to find out what you can do to make these kids' lives better.
