Bristol Palin and Levi: The soap opera continues

I am obsessed with the Palin family, so I'll be sure to read the upcoming story in GQ magazine about Levi Johnston, father of Bristol Palin's baby.levi.jpg

According to New York magazine, which got an advance copy, Levi is an inscrutable type who likes to hunt and fish and "may or may not" be looking for a job. He and Bristol have been exchanging "flirty" text messages and are in regular contact.

Since I posted yesterday about Bristol's silly abstinence campaign, I had to check out what Levi's latest statements are re abstaining from sex, now that he has a five-month-old boy. He told the Early Show: "I don't just think telling young kids, you can't have sex, it's not going to work. It's not realistic."

Love the contrary messages from the confused teen parents! Keep it up, kids, this is fun!

Lois the election is over. You need to pick on some adults more your size than these two bewildered young folk trying to find their way in life. I only hope that someone extends to your children one day the same courtesy as you extended to Sarah Palin's child and friend.

This blog is nothing more than mean mob mentality psycho babble. I was shocked to see who wrote this and looked over and there was your picture supposedly a mature and educated woman it looked like. Boy was I wrong.

It's not fun. It is pure ugliness on your part.

I agree with the first comment. You should really pick on someone your own size and leave the Palin family alone. You say in your bio you have 3 children, show others the same respect you would want shown to you.

Disgusted by this blog, I live in Boca as well. You should be ashamed.

Two confused young people? I agree with that comment. But "picking on" them? If they don't want people making judgments and comments, they should stay out of the public eye. These two have been on tons of talk shows, in magazines, etc. I realize they have unwanted media attention as well, but if you're agreeing to talk shows, you're seeking it out. They should just keep to themselves, go about their lives and quit talking to the press.

And while I'm at it - I don't judge these two kids for being unmarried teen parents or any of that. It happens. What I DO have a problem with is the insistence during the campaign that "Oh yes, she's pregnant. But they will be getting married!" Sure they will. That was all an act for the conservative voting base.

ELECTION IS OVER. LIBERALS LIKE YOU SHOULD FIND MORE NEWS WORTHY SUBJECTS TO HARASS

Please give me a break with the "leave these poor kids alone" crap. He goes on talk shows and she makes herself the hypocritical spokesperson for Abstinence. And remember that Sarah Palin and her lust for power put them both in the spotlight to begin with. If you don't like this blog, don't read it. Personally, I think it's right on!

Why is this news? This makes no sense. Newspapers are laying off qualified writers and cutting coverage, but paying bloggers to write about teenagers?

I agree, these two are putting themselves in the spotlight. However, this blogger who has her own children should know that sometimes, they don't make the best decisions. That doesn't make it right to continue exploiting them.

This blog is neither liberal nor conservative. It's about issues that relate to parenting, and Bristol Palin has insinuated herself into the public discussion about abstinence by accepting a role as spokeswoman for that principle. That makes her involvement and example fair game for comment.

A few weeks ago, I called President Obama "stupid" in a headline on this blog. Where were the accusations of liberal bias then?

Who really thinks our children stop and think about the Palins or whoever "talks" about abstinence....What the parents instill in them from a young age is what will be running through their minds whether they choose to have sex or not.for...in the end it is up to the child...Limelight or not Bristol is admitting that it probably wasn't her best choice and admitting she didn't think things through and trying to tell her story. If Levi doesn't feel the same....they are two different people...Why anyone has a problem with that..is beyond me.
