I trash most of it; Trick-or-treating is for the social fun. I'm appalled by the obviously unhealthy cultural manipulation by the sugar & food industries. It would seem hypocritical to foist the garbage on others, especially charities which should teach better. I encourage mine to sort some favorite bits for storage in the freezer, and last year there were still a few pieces finally discarded in March. Only my two-year-old still fears losing the sugary booty, and we make sure we are better & well fed on fresh foods that we have always preferred.

Interesting Article. I liked it. I am hiding the Halloween Candy from the kids.
