Vegas Night for Miami Pet Rescue this weekend.

What happens in Vegas... helps companion animals.

Pet Rescue Inc., of Miami, is holding its annual fundraising Las Vegas At Night event beginning at 5 pm, Saturday, at El Palacio Sports Hotel, next to Calder Race Course on the Miami Dade/Broward County line.

Your $75 per person donation includes dinner, a show and $500 in "funny money" to play in the mini-casino. Click here for more information, or call Pet Rescue at 305-621-8354.

Pet Rescue is a nonprofit no-kill shelter that also has a foster program. Browse their Web site for adoptable dogs and cats.

Speaking of a good cause, The Broward County Humane Society will be conducting Mobile Adoption Services ON October 27th from 6 - 9 p.m at Las Olas Boulevard's first-ever "Yappy Hour Pup Crawl," a series of pet-friendly happy hours happening all along Las Olas from NE 6th Street to 10th Terrace. Don't miss Jo Jo Harder, creator of "Americas Top Dog Model" and author of Diva Dogs: A Style Guide to Living the Fabulous Life, who will be at the Riverside Hotel and Fort Lauderdale's first doggy menu at Indigo Restaurant.
