Supernatural, We Still Love You!

Recently, we noticed some unrest on the comments section of our site. Namely, some of you have been wondering why we're giving Supernatural the shaft. One of our more creative posters even sent us a pic to show just how lacking our Supernatural coverage has been.

Hey, we love Supernatural, too. But unlike OTH, whose stars seem to grace the tabloids every other week, and Gilmore Girls, which has a slew of spoilers in constant circulation, Supernatural and its stars are laying low this summer.

Yes, the droolworthy Jensen Ackles is starring in Ten Inch Hero with OTH's Danneel Harris (they'll play sandwich artists looking for love).

Yes, Jensen is still gorgeous (need proof? Here's another pic).

But beyond that, we just haven't heard much on the Supernatural front. Do you have Supernatural scoop we don't know about? Or just want to gush about the stars and speculate about next season? Post away, commenters... and rest assured that as soon as we DO hear more Supernatural news, we'll post it ASAP.

Yeah Jareds sexy but only in series1 when his hair isn't parted. It really pisses me off cos hes so good looking with a fringe. His foreheads too wide-you cant have parted hair like that. I love him more than jensen in series1 but after that jensen has to be more attractive. Anyone else agree about Jared's hair? By the way i never found white boys attractive till supernatural and Jared's ruined it for me with his hair, i'm sorry. Still love the show though!! Chelsey from England xx

Hello - I remember the 1st time I saw Jensen on Days of our Lives, still in earl to mid 20's.. only watched soaps then for hot guys, I can't remember who left but I was done watching, his 1st scene, I was like, " MOM< TAPE DAYS FOR ME" He always had the IT FACTOR, when he went on Dark angel, it was my friends kinda unknown cousin " Jessica Alba".. show. I remember watching with old pictures of Jessica lying around the house.. was like. how did ahe get to meet him?? They both blew up after that. Jensen belongs in films like Jessica.

From Syracuse, birthplace to major stars.. I know wierd- but I know it when I see it!

Happy birthday jensen you rock baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cmon CW!!! It should be quite clear, that supernatural deserves more publicity than either Smallville or OTH or whatever. And the excuse that they are not in tabloids, well thank God that Jensen is not a lindsey lohan, and since when was it a bad thing too want some privacy. Both Jensen and Jared are actors that deserve WAY more than they are getting. It's a big shame that large tv-companies don't realize talent, and instead keep to the old "any publicity is good publicity" ethic; well people that is pure and utter b*lls**t. While they both look quite good, they're is compensating more than enough for that, sooooo not just two pretty faces.

back me up here people!

In "The Magnificient Seven," does Tamara (Caroline Chikezie) send Envy (Josh Daugherty) packing or is there a slim possibility that both demon and host made it out alive...'cause I gotta tell yah, those clips of Tamara and Envy were kinda hot. Was the demon dude supposed to dig the hunter chick or did the actors just through that in for a bit of fun? I liked it! I mean, I really dug it.

i love jensen. i wish i meet jensen.

Burbank, CA September 20, 2005

SUPERNATURAL BUILDS ON ITS AUDIENCE WEEK-TO-WEEK AMONG WOMEN 12-34 AND MAINTAINS 96% OF ITS DEBUT AUDIENCE IN PERSONS 12-34

NEW DRAMA SCORES +61% WEEK TO WEEK GAINS AMONG TRENDSETTING FEMALE TEENS OVER ITS DEBUT

SUPERNATURAL ACHIEVES YEAR-TO-YEAR TIME PERIOD GROWTH OVER HIT SERIES ONE TREE HILL IN TOTAL VIEWERS (5 MILLION) AND ADULTS 18-49

GILMORE GIRLS WINS ITS TIME PERIOD IN WOMEN 12-34 AND RANKS #2 IN ADULTS 18-34, PERSONS 12-34 AND WOMEN 18-34

The WB's SUPERNATURAL, from Warner Bros, Television showed week-to-week gains in some key demos and impressive overall retention off of its highly promoted launch one week ago. Among women 12-34, the spooky drama improved week to week (2.9 vs. 2.8) and among the trend-setting female teen demo, SUPERNATURAL achieved a 3.7/13, which was a 61% improvement over its debut performance. Historically, female teens are the first audience to discover a new hit series on The WB, so the network is very encouraged by the big week-to-week gains due to strong word of mouth.

SUPERNATURAL, which attracted 5 million viewers, retained a healthy 88% of its premiere's total audience. SUPERNATURAL maintained 96% of its debut audience in persons 12-34 (2.4/7), 90% of its women 18-34 audience (2.7/7) and 93% of its women 18-49 viewers (2.7/6), while improving 30% in total teens.

SUPERNATURAL also held onto almost 90% of its GILMORE GIRLS lead-in among persons 12-34 (86%), adults 18-49 (88%), teens (90%) and total viewers (87%).

SUPERNATURAL improved its time period¿s rating over the parallel week last season when it was occupied by hit series One Tree Hill.&rddquo; SUPERNATURAL scored growth over One Tree Hill in adults 18-49 (2.2/5), +90% in men 18-34 (1.9/6), +70% in men 18-49 (1.7/4), +64% in men 12-34 and in total viewers (5 million).

GILMORE GIRLS, also from Warner Bros. Television, was #1, winning its time period among women 12-34 (4.2/13) and was #2 in adults 18-34 (2.8/9), persons 12-34 (2.8/9) and women 18-34 (4.0/12). GILMORE GIRLS held onto 90% of its opening week audience in adults 18-34 (2.8/9), persons 12-34 (2.8/9), 89% of its 18-49 viewers (2.5/7) and 93% of its total viewers (5.8 million).

Now, aren't you proud of Supernatural already?

erm i prefer the supernatural being low key, i mean who knows what will happen if Supernatural became too popular? I know we'll worry that it might be cancelled but gues what? go to www.jensenacklesfans.com SEASON 2 already started!

Anyway, I don't want Jensen and Jared to be too famous because fame destroys lives, no one can handle fame so i am glad that there are aren't too many promos for this show cuz i don't want it to be darn famous..think about the number of advertisements of other products interrupting the show like the way they interrupt my CSI...anyway there are over 5.2 million Supernatural viewers so that's enough..if Supernatural gets any more famous cuz of promos and stuff, some fans who were the original, most loyal will feel alienated because they were the first fans...hoping for a show to be famous is cool but don't hope it too famous because BE CONSIDERATE~ JENSEN IS SCARED OF BEING TOO HOLYWOOD...get it?

Well said, Neha! It is ludicrous to only promote shows where the actors are misbehaving in front of the press. I'm outside the target audience for this show too but that doesn't stop me loving it. I certainly don't need to hear tittle tattle in the press in order to make me watch it.

Supernatural is the best show on The CW. It's the only show that has everything and it doesn't hurt that Jensen and Jared are complete hotties! But this show has comedy, action, drama, everything.
And what exactly has promotion got do with them being in the tabloids? Shouldn't u promote shows that have great potential rather than their stars being in the tabloids everyday? I'm sorry to say this, but this logic doesn't make any sense to the viewers of Supernatural.

I am outside the target audience for this show at quite a few years of age, but I love it. It is the only, I repeat, only television show I watch every single time it's on, whether it is a repeated episode or not. I watch other shows if I'm not doing something else, but Supernatural is the only one for which I set aside time in my calendar. The depth of the characters and the excellence of the acting, scripts, plots and inverse originality of taking long-known legends and myths and creating a world in which these things are real, make this a show with far more potential than the WB Network may have realized when they started airing the series. I sincerely hope that the new CW Network realizes the potential of the show they have inheirited.

I would like to suggest to the maintainers of this website, that you may have more luck in getting tips on Supernatural news and stories if you were to let your readers know what e-mail address to send such items to?

I just wanted to say that i love the show and it is by far my favorite. And i truly enjoy watching it. So keep up the promotion of this very deserving show.

If you've read the responses to the Amber Benson article, you know that "Blue Gloves" repeatedly insists "Supernatural" was based on "Frailty." Blue Gloves writes, "'Supernatural' is an out and out rip-off of Bill Paxton's movie 'Frailty'..."

Blue Gloves is sadly misinformed. "Frailty" was released in 2001. Eric Kripke developed "Supernatural" in 1997. Since I don't have access to the comment section where Blue Gloves goes after "Supernatural," I wanted to set the record straight here.

Blue Gloves, who seems to resent the fact that "Charmed" is off the air and "SN" is on, also attacks "Supernatural" as inferior to "Frailty." It seems Blue Gloves is no better at recognizing good quality than he is at getting his facts straight about which Hollywood project came first.

this is one of the best shows on t.v i can't wait for the new season to start! I am glad you kept it, now if you would just give it more P.R you might be able to grab more viewers

i love watching supernatural! but unfortunately now with school starting i have to hope they'll re-run the new episodes on sundays like they did last season. i started watching it after the other show i watched on tuesdays went off the air n stayed watching it when they moved to thursdays n became really hooked because of jensen. my best friend loves jared so we don't fight. it's an awesome show n i hope it stays on for a long time.

Supernatural..The best freakin show on tv!!!!!

I can't get enough of it. I'm obsessed. I live for Thursdays to get here so I can see the boys kick some Supernatural hiney. I never went to message boards before SN cause frankly I never really cared to discuss a show before with other people on the net but Supernatural I can't talk enough about. I'm longing for the DVD to come out and the second season to start and I never ever pine this much for tv shows!!! I find myself quoting lines from the show in daily conversation and in certain life situations I ask myself WWDD or WWSD??? I've even bought T-shirts with quotes from the show. I'm freakin 30 and I feel like a teenager again!! Cause like OMG the guys are just so totally HOT!!!

If this show ever goes away I will die and you'd better salt and burn my bones cause I'll come back to haunt those who got rid of it!!! HAHA

I'm from Malaysia. I love this show. I hope AXN Asia will continue showing the new season.

i have to agree with everyone else here. i love supernatural. i have loved the show from the pilot episode. i'm not a teen (haven't beem one for years) and if the cw thinks thats all that watches the show and will tune in just because they are sadly mistaken. i mean over the weekend alone i saw promos from smallville, gilmore gils, everybody hates chris, smackdown, and top model, but nothing on supernatural. what is it with heads of tv programming??? i mean all they do is look at neilsen rating of a select few and decide if a show is worthy of anything advertising, promoting, renewal ect. well the people with the little boxes in their home definitly have to be crazy not to like this show. so please (the execs of the cw, yes i'm begging) please give supernatural its fair due. the whole reason i watch the show is for the family dynamic of the characters and i will agree all 3 winchester are very nice on the eyes, but i believe, and so does everyone else here, that this show is so much more. thanks for letting me get this outta my system and thanks for this site.

i love this show, it has action and drama.

this is the only show i ever overly looked at, (if that makes any sence to u)

what i meen is that this show does not get old like all the other shows.
after every eppisode of supernatural i can't sleep because i wan't to see what happens next.

if i where to pick the best and most interesting show in the world it would be SUPERNATURAL.

I love this show and i am so glad that it got a second season, i am just worried that it wont make it a 3rd season b/c of the lack of advertisement. I think that if there were more promos for it more ppl would become interested in it and want to watch it! Its a great show with a little bit of everything for everyone but especially the boys!!!

Supernatural is the perfect show, not only do the story lines rock, but the eye candy is a heck of a benefit.

i have been a fan of SN since day ONE! i absolutly love the show.

i watch OTH also & have been a fan of that since day one. but i like SN b.c its so different. and after ever ep. u wish next week would come a whole lot faster!

its good to see a different type of show, ppl tend to get cought up in the whole drama serise OTH, the O.C, even gilmore girls which i love all 3 of those show.

but SN brings somthing different to t.v that i find very intreging and love to watch and could watch over and over again.

i deff. think it needs to be advertised MORE tho. come on now ppl LOVE this show! get it out there so even MORE ppl will LOVE the show!

i am verry glad it is staying!

This show is definitely a keeper.Only show that i can actually sit there and wait for the next episode every week.Just hope to see more advertisement on it so more people can realize what a good show it is.

I am desperately in love with this show. It is my only must see show, by far the best I've seen on TV in many years. My worry is, I'm noticing a severe lack of promotion for it. OTH, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, all are getting a lot of support. Why not Supernatural? It's an amazing show, it's so different and original. I had no idea you could pack so much into one series. The supernatural is a big part sure, but there's so much more to it than that. The family aspect is powerful, the depth of the characters such a welcome surprise. I didn't think network TV knew what good television was anymore. The acting and writing on this show are absolutely stellar. I've never found myself so moved by a show before. It sets it apart from any other supernaturally themed show I have ever seen. And everyone I know agrees, having hooked all my friends on the show. It blows my mind as to how a break through series like this seems to be getting overlooked. Someone isn't doing their job. Not only are there not many adds being shown, there is no merchandising. I think this is a mistake. Fans have been going crazy for merchandise and have been going to other sources to get it. I have every belief that if handled properly, this show has the ability to become huge. Buffy who? Charmed what? Yeah, that's right, I said it. The quality of this show easily blows by shows like that and they were major hits. Please do not mess this up. You have an opportunity here to do something really great for TV. This show has a mass following, don't turn your back on us. Promote the heck out of it. Give it the respect it deserves.

I was really into Smallville for the past 5 years. I even watched all of the reruns. Then, I was bored after watching Smallville one night and decided to try Supernatural. The first episode I saw was the rerun of "Journey Home", so I haven't seen that many episodes (just about 6.) I didn't start watching the show because of Jared and Jensen, because I didn't even know they were the actors. I watched it because I like horror films and decided the show might be good because of that. (However, I did find out that Jensen, and especially Jared are nice perks...) But now, I love Supernatural, and it has taken Smallville's place as my #1 show. Until I started watching Supernatural, I never realized how repetitive and boring Smallville was getting. I still watch Smallville, but now, I am much more interested in Supernatural.

hi i think supernatural should get more promo because it is a GREAT show and I agree with the other fans. I rarely see as much ads for SN then the others like next top model etc. I just wish to see more of SN ads and I hope this will be under consideration. :) I'm a BIG fan since DAY ONE! and always will.

Why is this whole entry about how Jensen's gorgeous? Yeah, fine, he is, but he's 50% of the show. Yall didn't mention Jared Padalecki once! Y'know, the other 50% of the show? And talking about how attractive the guys are isn't what I'd call a worthy news update. So sad and disappointing! And even sadder you must rely on TABLOIDS for your news! Man, that's quality!

And if you're the ultimate SOURCE, why is it that basically every post here is from ANOTHER source?

Other fansites out there do exactly what you're doing and can post the news up in half the time.

Crap job you're doin' here.

i love supernatural!!! its one of my favourite shows!!! love the 2 pictures of jensen! he is so hot! glad there was finally a supernatural update. hope to see more!

Five months into the season, I stumbled across an episode of SN and realized I was watching classic television in the making. Unlike most of the glitzy, cliche-ridden shows on TV, SN is a work of art, giving viewers "real toads in imaginary gardens." Like all the great quest tales of literature, the series is firmly grounded in harsh, sometimes brutal, reality. Its dialogue is unpretentious, its landscapes grim, its characters amazingly lifelike, and its family interactions infallibly familiar, often painfully so. Furthermore, the series maintains a perfect balance between the realistic and the fantastical. With each episode, SN subtly re-mythologizes the world, infusing the banal with a sense of wonder.

I think many viewers are strongly attracted to SN for the same reason our ancestors gathered around the fire to hear tales of poor but brave mythical heroes riding out to do battle with seemingly impervious dragons. Such heroes, such myths, strike a chord deep in our archetypal consciousness, and we long for them. Like no television program ever has, SN responds to that longing, briefly refashioning the world into a place of mystery, cosmic struggle, primitive terror, and heroic triumph--just as did those old tales told around the fire.

So, congratulations, CW. You're clearly one network that recognizes uncompromising excellence when you see it.

I can't WAIT for the new season!! I love this show, it is one of the only shows I watch regularly.

I absolutely Love Supernatural. It's one of a very few shows I can relate to. Documentaries are getting old and I can't sit still long to watch a whole movie because most I just can't relate to. The Winchesters are people just like the everyday people out here except they kill evil, save people, and do it in an adventurous sort of way. They are ingenious, ingenuitive, and imaginitive. And there are three hot men playing three hot single men. It doesn't get any better than that!

I just have say "ditto" to what everyone else has said. Great show, great writing, great stories and fantastic acting. J, J and J blow everyone else off the screen!

I live in Australia and we don't have a WB channel!!! *cries*

We have to wait 'till next year for Supernatural Season 2!!! *cries again*

I can't wait though! :)
Please put advertising on for Supernatural in both America and Australia because we love it so so much and are eager for more Supernatural!!!

I was in NYC just last weekend and a group of us were bemoaning the fact that we couldn't find any "Free to Be" featuring the show. (We did finally spot one across the street from the Late Show.) Now I read the lack of coverage is due to the fact that the stars have managed to keep out of the tabloids!?!

I am very disappointed.

Do my eyes deceive me? Some minor publicity for Supernatural? It can't be. This series has the potential to be something really memorable because of the attention paid by the writers to the complex family dynamic of the brothers Winchester, but the CW seems to have written it off as mere eye candy that appeals only to teenagers. Nothing could be further from the truth. I've long since stopped being a teenager; there's a reason I don't watch One Tree Hill, but that I do watch Supernatural.

Supernatural, The Shield, Battlestar Galactica, Deadwood, and Weeds are the only weekly series worth watching regularly on television anymore. Other networks would kill to have actors as talented and charismatic as Mr. Padalecki and Mr. Ackles. My own mother, a great film snob and hardly a horror fan, adores the heartfelt brotherly dynamic of Supernatural. She's opined that Jensen Ackles has more charisma than any kid she's seen since James Dean graced the screen when she was in junior high school. My mother isn't quick to bestow praise.

Think about that, CW executives, while you ignore Supernatural.

Hello all, I just wanted to put in my 2 cents on Supernatural. It is the only prime time show I watch. I started watching it rather late in the season (when The Journey Home first aired). I almost didn't watch it b/c I don't like shows about supernatural/paranormal stuff. I am a baby when it comes to that stuff, it tends to freak me out (esp remembering some of the stuff that happened in the house I grew up in). I watched a few minutes of it and decided to watch the rest, it hooked me that fast. Then it became a must-see program for me, I watch it every week. Over the course of the season I have fallen for the characters (though I am more of a Sam/Jared fan, though Dean/Jensen is great as well, after seeing interviews they have done I have become a HUGE Jared fan, he is such a nut!) And before anyone thinks I am a teenage girl, let me say that I am a 34 year-old happily married for almost 10 years woman. I think SN is the best show out there (though I wouldn't recommend young kids watch it). Yes, the Winchesters are definitely smoking hot, but I honestly can't say that I became a SN fan b/c of that, I really didn't notice how attractive they were until several episodes in (I guess getting to know the characters and the guys' acting gradually opened my eyes to that fact). I can't say that I thought they were ugly (, I just noticed the show, storylines, chemistry between the brothers and acting talent before the looks. I think my first thoughts on looks in The Journey Home were, Hey that's the guy who played Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives and yeah, they're pretty cute. What really hooked me in that episode was Jensen and Jared's acting and the whole story with Sam getting the premonitions, learning about what happened to Mary Winchester and when Sam realized that his mother was the firey spirit in the house, esp since he had no memory of her, all he knew was what he was told about her and saw pictures (I can identify with that since I lost one of my brothers when I was 9 months old, not due to a demon though).
In closing, I just want to say that I think SN deserves a lot more promotion and credit than what they are getting. The fact that it is the only prime time show that I watch religously (with my bible, rosary and holy water nearby - lol). Please give our show its dues.

I love supernatural! Us fans just wish the CW would get into the show cause I know it was hit in season one and if you check out the wb talk boards there is a million spoliers there and fun games and fanfiction. I don't think you guys gave supernatural enough love cause Jeffery Dean Morgan, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are well known actors.

Thank you for finally posting about SN. I have to agree with what alot of people are saying I think it's such a disservice that SN isn't getting a lot of coverage because Jared and Jensen aren't in the tabloids alot. It's like your punishing them for being down to earth sweet guys who like to keep their private lives just what they should be private. I didn't even want to watch this show because personally the scary part of the show looked incredibly corny to me and made me think great it's going to be another Charmed or Buffy show which really doesn't appeal to me at all and never has. I'm only 22 by the way so I was a teen when those shows were on and those were the type of shows most people my age watched, but Supernatural is so much more than that. I absolutely can't stress enough how much I love the brother dynamic on this show it's something that other shows have done and ended up messing up i.e. OTH which is why I started watching that show and there are barely any brother scenes anymore. I really hope SN won't screw that up this season and please how much can I stress not to make the show become another show that focuses on couples I'm so incredibly bored of that. I want it to stay about the relationship between the brothers and their father and how they deal with the family business. This show is one of the best you've got on your channel so don't mess it up.

And did anyone mention that Jensen is up for a Teen Choice Award this week. He's listed as being at the presentation which means he's either presenting or he won.

Supernatural is also up for best new show, I believe

Thanks for finally adding something about Supernatural! I gotta reiterate what others have been saying about the show. It's fantastic, and the promotions last year really wasn't adequate. On the Canadian tv channel, the long-standing promo is "hot guys, hot show". You have no idea how many people I've talked to refuse to watch the show because of that promo. And those I do end up convincing to watch are pleasantly surprised that it's more than eye candy. It really doesn't do the show justice to only promote it by how hot the guys are. Yea, they're nice to look at and it's a bonus, but we're all sticking with the show because of how great it is. Really, it's time for the promos to focus more on what the show is about and less on how gorgeous the cast is. Everyone can see the hotness in the clips, anyway...

I have to say that I'll agree with a few people by saying that theCW really isn't giving Supernatural much promotion and it's starting to tick me off. This show is an awesome show, and it's not only because both Jared and Jensen are extremely good looking. Sure that's the main reason I started watching the show, but it's not the reason I continued to watch the show.

I just think theCW needs to quit promoting Gilmore Girl's so much and start promoting all of their shows fairly. I also think it's asinine that you're only going to post anything about the show or the boys if they're in the tabloids. Talk about tacky.

Just wanted to say I'm happy to see an SPN-related update, and to reiterate the awesomeness of Supernatural (even if we all know already. xD)

Although I find it sad that show advertising seems to depend on the tabloids. Jared and Jensen have done their acting jobs excellently, and how much SPN is highlighted shouldn't depend on how much attention the actors draw to themselves. ;__;

i began watching SPN on the second episode. I didn't have a clue what it was about and i have to admit that i stumbled upon it by accident (lack of advertisement was the problem there) and yet just by that one had me hooked, even though i hadn't watched the pilot. This must surely say something, and i continued watching almost religously every week. It wasn't until around 3 months after it started showing that i saw the pilot.

The intensity of the writing, characters and storylines had me captured from the start and i was helpless to resist. I don't watch a lot of TV and absolutely hate cliche, corny or fake people and shows. And I find it easy to say that SPN and jensen nad jared do not fit into those catergories. Neither does the show or its writers, who do what they do because they love their job and have passion.

The boys hotness is just a bonus (a nice one at that) and i think it would be shallow if you watched for that reason alone.

because i love this show so much i have become very angry at the lack of advertisement and effort on your end. The tens of thousands of fans have been doing their part by setting up websites, and obsessing about this show on the net and to everyone they know even if they so think that they're nuts. You should've realsied a long time ago what an amazing show you have, and got off your butts and done something about it.

I hope you listen to every comment that is posted by a loyal fan and hear what we have to say.

Supernatural is easily the best show out there right now. I never get this much into a show, and I am obsessed. I even watch the reruns and am buying the season 1 DVD, things I've never done with any other show.

It's not about looking at Jensen and Jared (although that is quite a bonus) but it's about the whole dynamic of the show. It's about a family torn apart and the life that they've led for 22 years trying to find and kill the thing that did it. An absent father that is loved by his boys despite the fact that he's never really been a father to them. The brothers who would do anything for eachother. The very complex characters of Sam and Dean, you find a whole new layer to them in every episode. Jensen and Jared are just superb in their portrayals of these very deep characters. Let's not forget the supernatural aspect that keeps you on the edge of your seat every time you tune in.

Let's face it, you have a huge hit on your hands and by not promoting it, you may just lose it and that would be a shame. Going up against Grey's Anatomy and CSI, you should really be putting a great big spotlight on SN and saying "Hey, Look what we have? The best show on TV, come check it out!". Instead you sit back and hope that SV as a lead in will do all the work for you.

Get off your butts and start promoting the crap out of this show, don't blow this!

It's so sad that you don't know that much! I love for Supernatural, and basically been rotting just waiting for the Second season. Just over a month left...

It really makes me sad, when I go to the city it's fun to look at the CW ads on the buses. I'm very very disappointed that I have yet to see a Supernatural one!

And I must say, I do agree with people that the show is sooo amazing and I love the content. It's clearly better than any other show, and yes the hot guys are icing. But if I just wanted the guys I would've watched GG or SV. I loveee the content more then any other show I've ever seen, and wow it's amazing.

I admit I started Supernatural for the hotties. I *STAYED* for the plots, the scariness, the scripting, and the incredible acting. Without those to support it, the show would have just been another hour long Abercrombie and Fitch ad.

Thank you to ALL the people involved in this show - for creating something that's not the same crime shows, reality tv, or medical dramas.

Thank you for researching as deeply as you do to come up with interesting urban legands and myths to investigate.

Thank you for not making the pentacle-wearing goth kid the villain of the piece and getting the "pentacle as protection" part right!

But seriously - where is the advertising for this show? The fans are out there and doing our utmost to support the show, but WE can only take it so far. We need the CW to step up and meet us halfway and that means putting some adtime into Supernatural, at least as much as into *other* shows.

I'm just a fan who's been there since the pilot helping to promote the show and talking it up to *anyone* who'll listen untilk they watched.

It's not like I haven't spent my hard-earned money to put the DVDs on pre-order or anything. Oh, wait.. I did - the very day they became available.

Not like I haven't reviewed the show glowingly on Netflix and Amazon to improve sales and rentals of the DVD - oh wait, did that too.

Not like I haven't gushed on Livejournal and posting boards. Wait, guilty there too.

Not like I didn't send postcards to Dawn to beg for renewal. Yeah, sorry about the handwriting - I cramped up after the 5th or 6th one.

And I'm *one* fan. Just one. There are literally *thousands* of fans out there making these efforts every day and at their own expense. Shouldn't the network that stands to gain (and risks losing money and viewers) be putting in just as much effort?

So what if Jensen and Jared aren't out wrecking cars and tearing up bars? They do their jobs (that's acting, btw, not making the cover of the Enquirer) and they do them well, TYVM.

Give actors credit and accolades for their talent and maybe they won't have to resort to infamy to get press.

Thanks for the coverage of Supernatural. Yes, the boys are lovely to look at and that was my initial attraction to the show, but after watching the first few episodes I'm hooked on the Winchester family. Great character development and strong story lines, I'm looking forward to Season 2. I like the fact the boys were "laying low" during the break, tells me that most likely they've got a life.

Wow. So. In order for the show to get a highlight, the actors have to basically make asses of themselves and get mixed up in tabloid garbage?
Yes, they're pretty, but I think the point missed the target with the "creative image".
We, the fans, are sure there is SOMETHING of note happening, even if it's just J&J being (its so boring, I know!) goofballs on set.
Show recaps, theories, monsters... whatever.
I'm not a TV watcher, but I do watch Supernatural with a fair regularity. The dynamic of the brothers and the difficulty of their quest keeps me coming back.
NOT some idiot story about how a star or another from the show did some dorktastic thing in a tabloid.

Thanks so much for finally giving us a Supernatural update!

I think I'm glad the reason they haven't been spotlighted is because the boys aren't constantly in the tabloids, but it's pretty sad if yall rely on tabloids for your news, CW Source. =/

I was a total House girl on Tuesday nights. But then Supernatural premiered and I've only watched House when the J's are on hiatus. Same this year, Grey's Anatomy doesn't have a chance with me especially since JDM was killed off.

And yeah I have to agree with the other posters, as much as I enjoy the hot boys, a pretty cast isn't enough to keep my attention. I'm looking at you Smallville, OTH and The OC.

Finally, if I absolutely had to choose - I'd go with Dean and Jensen who is an amazingly good actor and unbelievably underrated.

Thanks CW for giving me a reason to tune in, at least on Thursday nights. Tuesdays nights too since I also love Veronica Mars.

Any mention is good news, glad to see that the CW hasn't abandoned it's best show.

Thank you for finally giving Supernatural a bit of attention! Regardless of the lack of news, it still deserves a place of honor in this blog. Supernatural is my favorite show currently on television, and it needs all the attention and support it can get to make sure it stays on the air for years!

Love the show, love the writing, love the creators, the fans and the boys. J & J are so amazing and talented the capture their characters, their funny, serious when need be and NORMAL not pretentious and they can relate. I love the chemistry they have on SN and also between J & J they are like best friends/brothers. It shows on the show the closeness they have. But their normal guys and I just love that. This show has true fans, let's spreed the word.

The thought of Supernatural season 2 will help me ignore the same old, same old nonsense of Smallville season 6. Thank Goodness for this show!

I should add, since we're putting in our Jared or Jensen preferences here, I'm a total Jensen/Dean girl. The boy is gorgeous, talented, and an all-around pleasure to watch.

Oh, and Pillow Pants, it's okay to call other posters liars (see your post, sixth from the bottom), but when someone expresses another reason for enjoying the show, you seize on it and yell oppression?

How's that glass house working out for ya?

Okay, well i just wanted to post just to prove that there are more fans of the show haha. I love the show cause of the complexity of the characters, and the increasing suspense of the show, and the season one cliff hanger just killed me. I didn't know what I was going to do, until i found a wonderful forum to ease my anxiety.

and yes the boys are adorable, but that wasn't the reason why i started watching in the first place. I even missed like three episodes of the series, but when i saw phantom traveler .. the last half at least i got hooked.

I do have one request though, please please post promo pics of the show already!! The season premier is only one month away, there has to be some kind of promo pics.

It's about time that something on Supernatural showed up! This is a show that deserves buzz for many reasons. Other commenters have already mentioned the broad appeal of this show: let me add my view. I'm older than the CW's target demographic and emphatically NOT a horror film fan, but I fell in love with Supernatural. I'm not in the habit of writing to television producers, but I couldn't resist sending a letter of thanks and praise to Eric Kripke and Robert Singer because the show’s unexpectedly appealing combination of complex characters, witty writing, stellar lead performances, compelling family dynamics, intriguing plots, classic rock songs, moody underscores, and perfectly interwoven angst, scares and laughs made Supernatural the one show I went out of my way to see every single week last season. It even trumped 24. And I'll be back for season two!

I have to agree with so many that have already said that the CW is really lacking in their promotion of Supernatural. While the writers and guys maybe lying low...it is not the job of the CW advertising dept to follow their lead.

Supernatural is a relatively new show that has already grabbed the attention of tens of thousands across the globe. This could easily quadruple if CW spent some time/money on better advertising.

What grabbed my attention about Supernatural from the beginning was the story line -- not to mention the immense creepiness! It wasn't until several shows later that I truly noticed the two leads were outrageously gorgeous -- what a HUGE bonus that turned out to be!

Jensen and Jared are talented actors who have developed a real and believable brotherly on-screen chemistry which helps sell the unbelievable aspects of demon hunting and urban myths. No small feat.

Jensen Ackles offers a range and diversity that is rarely seen on television these days. Jared Padalecki has been given the difficult task of showing angst in every conceivable way and he does a tremendous job! Considering they are in 90% of the show -- they carry the load with remarkable skill.

Simply put this show is impressive. The writing is top notch, the special effects are scary-as-hell, there is humor and the creep factor hits its mark! IMO, the CW network is missing the boat by not doing more for it. (((Here's a hint for the PTB: Directing some of that budget towards women in their 30's & 40's would bring a huge return!)))

Thanks for the opportunity to post my thoughts!

My love for supernatural had developed gradually so I know exactly why I am watching this show and none other.
At first I saw a lot of fanfiction on the net, but since scary things aren't really mu cup of tea, I wasn't that interested. Then I found out it was going in the TV by us and I thought, what the hell, since so many people love it, I can give it a shot.

I watched the first episode with a friend of mine who fell asleep half way through and I was scared. But I didn't think much of the writing. Seemed to me like they wanted to put as much info into the first epi as possible and that made i crappy writing, at least in my eyes (don't shoot, I am going to continue ))

But the show had to have something apart from the boys, because I returned the second time to watch...adn the third and...I keep on watching.
I like to be a little afraid (OK. a lot), the guys are hot. The show's intelligent. The writing is decent.
It's a quality show. And good to take a breather. Not too hard to think about, but nice to shut your mind off and relax with a pleasant chill. Stupid shows irk me, and I love this one, that's a high praise. I hate cliches and people who think I am an idiot. This show avoids both of the aforementioned. And I appreciate it.

I think the show deserves a lot of great ads. The posters were kind of telling nothing. Certainly wouldn't pique my interest. You need to try more on the front.

I'm so glad to see this show finally geeting some of the spotlight that it deserves! I was so disappointed when I saw the CW commercial only show ONE image of the boys, I was like "OMG! They couldn't have!"

I love this show for everything it has; comedy, action, horror, great acting, awesome plot, and TOTALLY hot actors (Jared & Jensen of course!). It really entertains everybody, and it isn't too twisted up in details that it can get people lost. It's the only show I watch on Thursday nights, and even when it started on Tuesdays originally I missed my others shows to watch it!

GO SUPERNATURAL!!!!

I agree with everybody, the show is awesome and it does not get enough credit. I like this show for the plot and how they change every week, also I like the show for the hot and sexy Jared and Jensen. I am a Jensen girl all the way, Jared is hot but Jensen is hotter.

This is like, one of the best shows I've watched lately, and to be honest, it's almost the only show I watch on Thursday nights. It's so awesome, and it has an awesome plot with incredible actors. Supernatural rocks!

It's about time there was something about Supernatural up here!

Yes, the boys are hot, and lots of fans are all about the 'pretty', but the show is more than that, and there are fans that appreciate other aspects of the show more than the, um, stunning visuals. :)

Actually, the whole "Hot Guys!" thing nearly prevented me from watching. I actually changed the channel during the airing of the pilot because the initial introduction of Dean ("I love the Smurfs") made it seem to me (kneejerk reaction, I totally admit) like Dean was going to be a shallow, tactless horndog. I dislike shows where the characters have no depth. It's a good thing "Surface" sucked so badly or I might not have returned to watch the rest of the pilot for "Supernatural" and my world would be a very different place...

The series took a while to grow on me. It was the humour, the plotlines and puzzles, the growing complexity of the family dynamic and most especially the increasing depth to the character of Dean that won me over. Jensen Ackles has made a character that could have been played as a hokey stereotype into one of the most real and believable characters I have ever seen on television, and I've been watching since the early 70's.

Now, all that said, I'm not saying that fans who like the show just for the eye-candy are wrong. They aren't. Whatever reason any person has for watching Supernatural is absolutely right! :)

All I'm saying is there is much more to the show than eye-candy, and that there are loads of fans who do appreciate those aspects of the show greatly. Kudos to Kripke and the writers for not undervaluing the importance of story and characterization, and I hope that the CW realizes what a phenomenon it has in this show and treats it accordingly.

I'll shut up now :)

Dear 'a person,'

You know what you did. You basically called me and all the fans who like J&J shallow. Fine, you are all cerebral and smart but there is room for all kinds of fans. I'm sure The CW welcomes them all.

Of course The CW is going to hype the hotness. This is the network that is searching for the next Pussycat Doll, for God's sake!

PP

Common now, if we can find news and tidbits on the boys, i am sure you extremely talented CW people can. Thanks for giving our show some coverage, but keep it coming. I got to see pictures of Jensen, now where's the pictures of Jared? And yes, one of the reasons I watch SPN is because of the guys but the other is because of the scary atmosphere it gives. I love scary shows! If this show were the OC, I wouldn't watch it. It's the best thing on TV now. Cute guys with a point!

Pillow Pants -- hopefully my post was clear that everything I said about watching eye candy was simply my personal preference. :) I wasn't implying it was wrong to watch for that reason, I was simply wanting to point out that a lot of people do watch it for more than that, which the CW does not seem to be acknowledging. The thing is, some people are even averse to watching shows that seem to be all about the eye candy -- they think it will be nothing more than that and won't give the show a chance. I was, in fact, one of those people, had not watched any WB show since Angel, and only started watching Supernatural this year due to overwhelmingly positive word of mouth. It's disappointing to see the show being advertised the way it is, because I know a lot of people who refuse to watch the WB just on the "all it is is meaningless eye candy" principle, and they don't know what they're missing with this show. Again, just my opinion, not at all meaning to diss anyone. :)

Wow, quick results! Thanks for getting some Supernatural news on here so fast!

And yes, Jensen is still gorgeous!

Tis is the only show that I honestly believe that will make it on to the network for the 2007/08, no questions asked. Almost all of the shows that are being carried over from the WB will end this comming season or the season after. Promote the younger shows that fans like. I think it's a good things fnas are spreading to news about the show as the CW isn't really doing to advertising.

Jensen and Jared are worth watching, and the plots are even better.

Yay, Supernatural! This was my favorite new show last year, and has quickly become the one I'm most enthralled by, period (eclipsing my beloved 24 and The Shield, actually, which for a cheesy little horror show? Really sort of shocking). Ackles brings the awesome in almost every episode... he's one of the best under-30 TV actors there is. Padalecki improved immensely over the course of the first season, and their chemistry as family is completely believable, despite not looking a thing alike. :P The tone of the show is utterly charming, a blue collar X Files with five times the family drama.

I'm very excited the show got picked up for a second season, and I'll be eagerly waiting to see where it takes us next! :)

Well, it's good to know that people are noticing this fantastic show. We need more programmes based on escapism and willing suspension of disbelief, and if this one happens to include j2, well then so much the better.
I agree with Spanish_girl1982, SN is a definite candidate for cult-hood. There are so many good points to the show, I could wax lyrical for ages, just suffice to say that, if SN stopped right now, and never made another episode (heaven forbid) it would still have done more to heighten my respect for the WB than a whole decade's worth of shallow supernatural-themed shows.
Kripke, you're a genius.

'Supernatural' is awesome television. The intensity achieved by having a regular cast of only two, and the fact that those two manage to produce such amazing performances each time, puts it right up there in my book. It really deserves recognition for being more than just a genre show with good-looking stars. The performances in 'Devil's Trap' were jaw-droppingly awe-inspiring. I agree with Emily - look after it and it could well be the next 'X Files'... and the world would be a better place for that!

All I have to say to the CW is -- X-Files. Supernatural is the closest thing to the X-Files since that show ended. Just like the X-Files put Fox on the map, Supernatural has the potential to make the CW into a major network. That said, they need to quit putting so much emphasis on shows like Smallville, 7th Heaven, and One Tree Hill, since obviously those shows aren't network makers.

Supernatrual is my favorite show. It definitely deserves more media attention than it has been getting. Jared and Jesen are such great actors and there is a lot of news out there about them and the show.

Dear 'a person,'

What difference does it make if The CW thinks it has two serious hotties on the show and is exploiting that fact? If you like the plots and stuff, cool. But don't diss others who like it b/c J&J are hot. 90% of the people in this world are ugly, so it's no surprise when we see TWO guys on ONE show that give us butterflies in our stomachs we celebrate, k?

PP

YES! Finally Supernatural gets some action. I come in here to post that this show is so much more than just two hot boys killing stuff and I see that everyone beat me to it. :D This show is such a hidden treasure, I'm positive it could be bigger than Smallville, even as big as Buffy/Angel, if handled right. But apparently the CW thinks eye candy is the only draw for this show. Let me tell you, it is SO not -- you can get pretty faces and hot bodies on any channel, any magazine, any internet site if that's what you're looking for. Watching anything purely because the people are attractive gets mind-numbing after the first couple episodes. I wouldn't be watching, let alone be utterly hooked, on a show that didn't offer more than that. Hell, I couldn't even keep my interest in Prison Break once that show got too farcical, and Wentworth Miller is pretty much the It Boy Hottie nowadays.

My point is, and has been made many times above, this show is offering something no other show on the air does: a buddy/buddy on-the-road show with a generous helping of complex brotherly dynamics (these guys can do brothers like no one else on TV!), creepy plotlines that merge real life and fantasy by bringing to life real urban legends, a smoldering performance by the extremely underrated Jensen Ackles (WHY hasn't he gotten more attention for this?!), and frankly it's one of the most entertaining escapist romps on TV today! This show has what it takes, CW, don't drop the ball!

As long as Eric Kripke and the writers don't WB-ify the show by infusing it with Dawson's Creek-style love triangles and whiny boyfriend/girlfriend angst (which I am SO bored with, it's everywhere on TV, and besides, any relationship Supernatural comes up with could never compete with the romantic angst on Grey's Anatomy, it's time slot rival next season) this show will do very very well.

But c'mon, don't tell me there's no news. ;) Yeah, they aren't in featured in the tabloids (which I think the actors are probably extremely grateful for) but there is plenty of news about the show out there if you look for it. I'll be looking forward to further coverage from you guys! :D

Hi! I'm from Spain and I love the show, I can't wait to watch the 2nd season!!

Theres actually lots of news on the internet if you know where to look. That news being many, many spoilers for season 2. But we need more - which of course, obviously, we lack in. But the DVD and season 2 comes soon, so all will be right and well with the world again.

Love this show,im waaaay to old to be saying this but i think Jared Padalaecki, has to be the hotest thing i have sen in years.
I simply cannot wait for season 2,and im in ireland! The two characters work so well together, and i cannot wait to see what becomes of our Sammy and his powers. You go guys!

Thanks for finally mentioning Supernatural. Yes Jensen is gorgeous(I won't lie the first thing that made me sit up and take notice of the show after Dean's "Easy tiger" in the Pilot was his eyelashes) but far more importantly he's shown himself to be a fantastic and versatile actor. I wouldn't still be watching if he, and Jared and the show in general, didn't offer alot more than good looks. The brotherly relationship is one of the best buddy/brother relationships ever, it's going to be mentioned with the classic tv partnerships someday. The show itself has a down to earth, realistic edge to it that makes the threats seem possible. Treat this show right, as more than just pretty boys, and it'll get the CW goodwill and respect(AND ratings). It could be your X-Files.

And one day Jensen just might get an Emmy for you all to brag about. :D

PS: If you want to report SPN news, instead of silly gossip why not try focusing on guest stars, etc. Everyone else has mentioned Amber Benson's upcoming guest appearance. :D Or a few weeks ago they did that filming where non-actors got to be extras and they gave away a DVD player.

Another SPN fan out there, pleased to see her beloved show getting some notice.

I completely agree with the previous posters that this show has a lot of depth and complexity beyond the admittedly VERY pretty faces. That's why I started watching the show and stuck with through the whole of last season. That and it's just such a FUN show to watch.

So good on you for bringing SPN in from the cold, and yay to the poster of the gif, giving voice to what a lot of us were thinking.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to add that I gave the show a chance because of the subject matter. Jensen certainly sweetened the deal but looks can only take you so far. I was pleasantly surprised to see the depth that Jensen gives to Dean and that's why I am still watching. The character of Dean, and Jensen's portrayal, is fascinating to watch. He's complex and layered and so much more than a pretty face.

None other show on any network is as powerful as Supernatural. CW should pay extra attention to Supernatural, it will be the best possible series ever...I had never been effected by any series in my life..Eric Kripke, Jensen, Jared, Jaffery, writers, casts and crew everybody is doing their Job well to make SN the most popular paranormal series. Question is who is hotter. I think Jensen and Jared both have amazing personalities, but Sorry I was taken and obsessed by Jensen way back, I am absolutely nuts about him, wish to meet him someday but Hey I love Jared, but in a different way :-)....

All Cheers for Supernatural. Continue Success!!!!

Ok, the fact that JA and JP are gorgeous (I'm a Sammy girl at heart though)is pretty much a topic that's been done and dusted to death already.

The fact that the show has in my humble opinion, received zero publicity is beyond annoying. I mean, for starters that lame ass promo poster of rehashed pictures that have already been used. Where are all the new promo pictures for the Second Season..?

In fact where the heck IS the Supernatural promo..? As a fan of SPN, I didn’t exactly get the thrill of my life watching a one second snippet of the show loaded into a dedicated Smallville trailer. Let’s face it, that show has promotion in it’s weight of gold and doesn’t need anymore help!

Supernatural is stunning show, and deserves to be in the limelight all by itself. Now possibly the promo pictures and promotion for S2 hasn’t started yet due to JA and JP’s work schedule, if that’s so, cut the friggin boys some slack and let them get these promo’s running off. Other wise, the only people tuning in will be the ones already watching…which kind of takes away from the word promotional !!

Ok ranted long enough, but this is not a happy SPN fan here, not happy at all !

Yay! Supernatural is finally getting some rhythm.

Kudos to the person who sent that gif! Very creative. Maybe they should be doing the advertising for the show;)
Cuz what I've seen so far is pretty disappointing and unimaginative.

What you need to know about Supernatural is it appeals to a much wider audience than you give it credit for. The emotional resonance and depth of these characters and the terrific acting and writing that brings them to life is what makes this show special.
Jensen is the best actor working on TV and is able to realistically portray a character as complex and compelling as Dean Winchester. You should be doing everything in your power to get that man some positive press on his acting, not just his hot looks.
The scary, horror aspect of Supernatural is the framework that the show is based on, but the emotional portrait of a family torn apart from tragedy and how they relate to each other as they fight evil is what draws you to the show.
In my family alone, everyone watches from the 16 yr old teenager to the 83 yr old grandma. Stop defining the show as only a horror show with hot guys. Give this show the respect it deserves.

I think both boys are gorgeous, but I'm with you, Pillow Pants, I find myself more attracted to Jared. As far as whether or not people watch the show because the boys are good-looking, or because of the interaction between them, why can't it be both? I don't think the show would hold my interest long if they were just two handsome guys but a boring premise and dreadful writing. There are a lot of pretty boys (and girls) on tv. Supernatural gives us the pretty, but also gives us a great mythology to follow and an intriguing relationship.

Thanks for listening to us. Supernatural is a great show and it does need to be recognized too. It's too bad that Jared and Jensen are laying low, but the fans still want to see commercials and promos for the show.

I really don't get why there's not more of our boys out there. I watched the video clip on the CW homepage the other day and there was one "blink and you miss it" shot of the boys. What is up with that? The bus ads that I've seen have been incredibly lame. The CW's advertising (for this show especially) sucks ass. They really need to work on getting the feel of the shows across and not trying so hard to cram them all into their cheesy "free to be" campaign. They can still link them together in their basic pitch but I think they'd be wiser to highlight what makes the shows stand out instead of making them all seem like they fit into one cookie cutter mold. Just tacking "scary" (or whatever work is used for whichever show) on the end isn't going to sell this show to new viewers if they can't tell it's dark and scary from the actual ads and pictures.

As a serious fan of the show, it's incredibly frustrating to see such a lack of understanding and/or lack of interest in selling the show to the public.

I agree with Hermitme. Really the only complain that I have is from what I have seen lately...the lack of advertising for SN on CW behalf. I have seen a lot of Promos for VM, GG, OTH, the Sunday night comedies, SV, ANTM, etc. I have seen few promos for SN. I do think that there needs to be more promotional behind SN, just like the other shows are getting. Getting the word out for SN is a good way to grab more viewers for the show.

I am also a huge fan of the show. And I would like to mention that I do not watch the show just because of the guys on it. I watch it because it is different than anything else on at the moment. SN is a quailty show that has some the of the best writing and stories I have seen in years. It is scary at times, it has its brotherly moments, funny moments, and it draws the viewers in every episode. Everyone involved in with this show has given it there all and over its first season, that dedication to their work and to the show was seen by the viewers on screen. Over its first season, SN has proven itself as a force to be wreckened with. Every episode during last season got better and better. The progression the show made in its first season alone was down-right amazing. That just goes to show that the people in charge of creating this show are brilliant and understand the dynamics that make up this show.

Some of the posters are liars. You would not watch SN if the stars were ugly. If I want to watch ugly people, I'll stare at people walking outside in front of my office building!

I agree with the above poster. Yeah, the guys are hot, but that's just icing on the cake. We really watch for the creepy plots and unbelievably scary storylines. I'm such a huge fan of this show I'd watch even if the guys were ugly!

This is a great show and it really deserves more advertising than the CW has been given it. Yeah Jensen and Jared are hotties, but that's not what makes the show. It's the stories, the exceptional acting by all three J's, the brother's dynamics, the plots. Heck this show got better and better as the season progressed. It's just nuts to ignore it. Get with the advertising and you'll find more news and comments from the many loyal fans out there. Plus, you guys really need to work at getting this show more visible. How about some magazines? An SN magazine would be awesome.

What I'm wondering is how they'll possibly top last season. Are they going to do a season-long mystery, or lots of smaller mysteries? It's almost more challenging now that we know so much about the brothers... a lot of the fun was learning about their past.

Jensen is a hottie... but what about Jared?! I heart him too! Anyone else out there think Jared's yummier than Jensen?!!!

okay, so there isn't much news... at least you gave us some good pics to look at while we wait.

also: a sandwich artist? hmmm...
