Supernatural: Our Boys Are Back!

Supernatural

Dean and Sam return, and they stay true to character even in the face of comas and possible death. We were surprised that the producers let Sam spend the whole episode with a bruised and battered face - we guess it was to make him look tough. Dean, of course, has already proved his toughness, so he could get away with a photogenic scar on the forehead.

John ended up surprising us. We thought he'd let his lust for revenge make him ignore his sons, even when one of them is dying. We were all set to fling something at the TV until John revealed that he summoned the Demon to make a trade for Dean's life. That's probably as close to conventional parenting as John will ever get.

And yes, we admit to screaming at the TV when Bobby suggested they scrap the Metallicar. What do you mean, it's not worth a tow? The Metallicar is part of the team, and it will NOT be sold for scrap.

Check out the full recap here! Plus, see who's the winner of the Big Bad Bracket here! Are you surprised by the results?

Top Model: Makeover Madness!

Makeover mania! The makeovers thrilled some girls (Eugena, pictured at right, rocked her new extensions) and made others freak (hello, Jaeda and Melrose). Plus, Monique infuriated everyone with a three-hour-plus phone call, and we said sayonara to Megan.

Read our recap of last night's episode -- from hair highlights to 30-second makeup applications! Then tell us... who's your next pick to go home, and who do you think will win it all?

Gilmore Girls Premiere: Everything You Wanted?

See cast pics!

Did you catch last night's episode of Gilmore Girls, The Long Morrow? Given last season's dramatic finale, we were worried the relationship angst would drown out the Gilmore Girls hilarity we know and love. But after checking it out, we're pretty happy with the results. Just as long as Lorelai and Luke find their way back to each other eventually... because that look on Luke's face at the end of the ep was all kinds of painful.

So, Gilmore fans, what'd you think? Did you notice the Palladinos' absence, or were you too fixated on Lorelai's love triangle to care? Tell us your take on the Gilmore premiere!

Not enough for you? Get more Gilmore:

Smallville Season Premiere Sneak Peek

Smallville
Do you absolutely need to know if Smallville's season premiere is worth your while? We already know in our hearts that it will be, but some of you may still be skeptical. That's why Ed Martin over at MediaVillage.com has posted his review of "Zod," which airs tomorrow night at 8/7c. It's not that spoilery, but don't click if you don't want to know any details!

Are you excited yet?! We sooo are! Good thing it's now only a day away!

Beverley Mitchell Talks to TVGuide.com: "I Have the Best Job in the World"

Beverley Mitchell has played Lucy on 7th Heaven for over a decade. Check out her interview with TVGuide.com about why people identify with Lucy, who she's close to off-camera, and why we'll be surprised by 7th Heaven's record-breaking 11th season. There's no discussion of Lucy's record-breaking number of jealous outbursts, though...

The CW Star of the Week: Kelly Bishop

Kelly Bishop
Birth name: Carole Bishop

Where you can check her out: On Gilmore Girls, season premiere tomorrow night at 8/7c!

Why we heart her: While the series has had its ups and downs, you can always count on KB to pull out all the stops as Lorelai's wicked mother, Emily Gilmore. While she's not new to playing a mom (see Dirty Dancing, Private Parts, Wonder Boys), her current portrayal is definitely one of the most memorable on TV today.

Did you know? Her first love is the theater, and she is also an animal activist. More notably, in interviews she clearly is nothing like Emily - which is why they call it acting!

Hot New OTH Photo Gallery

Craving hot new One Tree Hill cast pics? Then we've got the gallery for you. James Lafferty remains classically handsome while Hilarie Burton tries out some new provocative poses (what's up with those green gloves, Hil?). Bethany Joy Galeotti is sweet as ever, while Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray show off their sultry sides.

See pics of the smoldering OTH cast, and don't forget -- the OTH season premiere is Wednesday at 9/8c.

Smallville Season Six Pix!

Smallville
New Smallville episodes are less than one week away, but we're impatient. Hopefully these new cast photos will hold you over until next Thursday's season premiere at 8/7c. We definitely dug them. They look like they fell out of the pages of Vanity Fair!

Not as many Allison Mack shots as we'd like... Although not surprising, still a bit disappointing... But we do love the Justin Hartley! He's so yummy! We anxiously await his arrival onto the Smallville scene!

Tia and Tyra Under Tress Stress

Tia Mowery
Mickael K of Dlisted.com weighs in on Tia (not Tamera, MK) Mowry and Tyra Banks' hairstyles at The CW Launch Party. He was no a fan of their hairdos - or hair-don'ts, in this instance. Well, MK, it ain't easy getting all dolled up for big events. You can control your outfits, but the hair? A little harder.

We did enjoy the Sister, Sister flashback though! Were you a fan of the sitcom back in the day? Of their adoptive mother, the ever-so-effervescent Jackée? Are you looking forward to seeing Tia in The Game?

Top Model Premiere: The Recap, Rants and Raves

It's back, in all its over-the-top glory. Here's ANTM by the numbers:

*2 hours
*1 diva act by Tyra that had the girls questioning her sanity
*13 girls...
*...but only 11 beds (gee, wonder if that was done to create drama?)
*Countless teary-eyed breakdowns

Read our weekly model update for more on each girl's status. Who's up? Who's down? Who's just plain annoying (um, that would be screechy Megg).

Plus, take our poll and tell us if Christian deserved to go home, what you think of Monique's antics, and more!

Did you watch? Who's your favorite contestant? Oh, and what'd you think of the "tasteful" nude photo shoot? Or the "most controversial" shoot ever on ANTM (their words, not ours)? Tell us your take on last night's Top Model!

Jensen Dissed!

The Dark Horizons Web site reports that Supernatural's Jensen Ackles may star in the fourth Resident Evil movie. Good news indeed, unless you take offense to the article's claim that he's the "not as good looking but still smoking hot" brother on the show. Come on! Do we really need to have another debate on who's better looking again? From what we've seen, Jensen fans and Jared fans have co-existed quite peacefully. No need to stir things up, right?

We're excited about the possibility of seeing Jensen on the big screen!

Cast Your Votes: Round 2 Is Up!

Round 1 of Supernatural's Big Bad Bracket is finished (see a graphic of the results), and there were some close races (Bugs vs. Rats, anyone?) and some runaway victors (did the Racist Ghost Truck have a chance against the Car? We think not).

Now it's time to cast your votes in Round 2! There are some interesting matchups... will Mary Winchester destroy The Car, or will the vehicle emerge victorious? What about Meg vs. The Magic Gun?

Then, check back on Friday for another chance to vote -- we'll pit the latest round of victors against each other!

Pics From The CW Launch Party in LA!

Check out pics from the fabulous CW launch party -- hot stars are featured! From Stephen Collins and Beverly Mitchell to Hilarie Burton and Jared Padalecki, the CW stars turned out in full force to celebrate the launch of the new network. Just about everything was green, from ice cubes to the carpeting. See the pics!

Like, Tori Spelling is Totally Invading Smallville!

Tori Spelling
TV Guide's Mikey Ausiello's at it again! In today's report, he divulges that Tori Spelling, formerly of Beverly Hills, 90210 and more recently of So NoTORIous, is joining the cast of Smallville as a Daily Planet gossip columnist. Hmm, curious casting choice on the part of the Smallville peeps.

What do you think of this latest development? Will Tori add or distract? Do you think Tori's character will hook up with someone on the show like... gasp!... Clark?

So many new characters will be surfacing this season, but are there any dream guest stars or characters you're absolutely DYING to see on the show?

September 18, 2006

The CW Star of the Week: Twiggy

TwiggyBirth name: Leslie Hornby

How did she get her nickname? The label refers to the thin frame she had back in the '60s that made her the most popular model of her time.

Where is she now? She's now a judge on America's Next Top Model, two-hour network premiere Wednesday, September 20 at 8/7c!

Why we heart her: It's tempting to hate the woman who started the skinny model trend, but let's face it - it wouldn't have exploded if a good number of people didn't embrace it. She's also a Tony Award-nominated actress and singer, and almost no one has aged as gracefully as she has. Must be that good attitude of hers, which is apparent on the ultra-competitive Top Model.

Did you know? She dedicates her spare time to anti-fur campaigning and raising breast cancer awareness. Angelina Jolie ain't the only one doing good, people!
