Like, Tori Spelling is Totally Invading Smallville!
![]()
TV Guide's Mikey Ausiello's at it again! In today's report, he divulges that Tori Spelling, formerly of Beverly Hills, 90210 and more recently of So NoTORIous, is joining the cast of Smallville as a Daily Planet gossip columnist. Hmm, curious casting choice on the part of the Smallville peeps.
What do you think of this latest development? Will Tori add or distract? Do you think Tori's character will hook up with someone on the show like... gasp!... Clark?
So many new characters will be surfacing this season, but are there any dream guest stars or characters you're absolutely DYING to see on the show?

Tori on the show... not really sure how I feel about it. I do, however think it's an awkward and out of place casting choice. She doesn't seem to fit SV.
I hope she's not playing "Cat" because that's the direction EDLois' character should go, in my opinion.

I'm with Dareth on this one. Only because I watch "Smallville" will I see what becomes of such a decision to include Tori Spelling. What's wrong with "The O.C.?" Wouldn't that be a more suitable block of airtime?

Why? I think that's a bad choice but I guess. I'll have to see how she does. But IMO bad choice I might have to change the channel on her parts.

I think Tori Spelling might just do a great job with the gossip columnist role. I agree that having her hook up with ANY of the main characters (Clark, Lex, Jimmy, etc) would be a weird and distracting move. If they don't oversell her casting and just make her fit with the ensemble and storylines, I could see her really pulling this off. And they need to remember that the fanbase has their core characters and they need to keep these core characters central.
But as for a really good stunt casting idea, I LOVE the idea of Helen Slater as Choe's mom--they look alike and the whole SuperGirl connection makes it a brilliant idea (all credit to **so**)

Tori doesn't seem like a good choice at all-she's a terrible actress and when you put her up against someone as good as Allison Mack, it'll really show.

Tori rocked in So Notorious, and I guess every show needs a couple of guest stars, but I wish they'd cut and focus on Clark, Lex, Lana and Chloe again instead of all these *names*. Besides which, no-one is going to be better than Christopher Reeve as a guest star for me. Well, ok, I have a soft spot for Carrie Fisher as well (G)

eh Tori is not one I care to see on Smallville. She better not hook up with Clark, that's just nasty.
My dream casting would be Helen Slater (supergirl) as Chloe's mom..since I know Teri Hatcher wouldn't want to come back to a Superman related show and she has her own show now.

She's def not hooking up with Clark, but I think she will make the show more interesting... Whatever happened to Dean Cain? There was talk in him appearing a while back.
