they didn't use a recycled actor for jimmy olsen it's shawn ashmores twin brother aaron look it up before making assumptions

I really think that "Smallville" is great show and its AWESOME. i cannot believe that Lana is gonna marry "Lex!" Poor, Clark, I hope he wins her back. They'd make such an cute couple together! I also hope that "Lana" divorces "Lex" and marries her "one-true-soulmate, Clark Kent." I hope.

replying to Kawon's post... the guy playing Jimmy is not the same guy who played Eric Summers in the past episodes. The guy who played Eric Summers is actually Shawn Ashmore who is Aaron Ashmore's twin (the guy who plays Jimmy). I thought they were the same guy at first too... but now you know. :)

Now that Lana is closer to learning that Clark has a secret, can she keep one? If she does find out, does she care enough about him to do so? Or, is she going to tell it all to Lex as soon as she has all of the facts? Keep her honest writers. Let her show the love that we all know she has for Clark. And we know that she has to lose the baby. It is as evil as the presumed father (Lex). From the comics, we all know that Lana's life wasn't the same after Clark, so , let's not give her any "baggage".

Hey everyone I just wanted to bring up something thats been really bothering me since the first episode of this new season. Am I the ONLY one who noticed that Smallville recycled an actor here?? Jimmy Olsen played by Shawn Ashmore has already been in two Smallville episodes. Leech in 2002 and Asylum in 2004. He played the character Eric Summers who tried to commit suicide and was struck by lightning just as Clark was saving him. The twist was that Eric was holding kryptonite so Clark's powers ended up transfering to him. I don't know about you guys but this seems like a pretty major breech of Television etticut, and overall its just distracting as the whole time your expecting Jimy Olsen to snap and attempt another transference of power.

More fans would watch IF they broadcasted in Hawaii. The CW isn't on the Time Warner/Oceanic Cable system here; and I don't know why!!

Smallville's producers insist on ignoring what the audience wants. They know that the majority of the audience want Clark and Lana together in a blissful romance that ends well, they’d have none of that, and have taken steps to destroy that romance (the gem of the show) as thoroughly as possible. They know that the majority of the audience dislikes very much seeing Martha and Lionel together, and yet they continue to bring them closer. They know that the majority of the audience hates to see Lex and Lana together, and yet they're making Lana to move in with Lex. They know that, in this show, the majority of the audience would like to see Lois with no-one else but Clark, and yet they insist on creating boyfriends for her. This show has grown so confused, that they have the heavyweight champion of the world of romance, Tom Welling, and they keep him away from girls. Clark has been without a romance since the fourth episode of season five, when he breaks up with Lana because he wouldn't touch her. One of the assets of the show was those delicious situations of jealousy from Chloe, but since the arrival of Jimmy Olsen that device is not going to work anymore. Another asset of the show was the existence of a real bad guy, Lionel, who was Smallville's real Lex, but they have turned him into Jonathan. Lex is supposed to be evil, but lately he's being presented as more admirable than Clark. The writers should be having fun with a womanizer Lex, and instead he's been going out steady with Lana for longer than Clark did. What we really want to see is Tom Welling, Clark, Superman, we want to see HIS life, but there are so many characters to serve that Clark's screen time has to be reduced beyond what it should be and more than people would like. What need was there to bring Lois in when she cannot have any substantial interaction with Clark? Why do we need a Jimmy Olsen? Chloe was Smallville's Jimmy Olsen. The fact that there is so much expectation about Green Arrow and the new characters is a clear indicator that the substance and the appeal of Clark's character has been considerably diminished. If someone is going to revitalize the show that's Tom Welling, because He's got to be the main star, and because this show is about Superman. It is necessary to breathe more substance into Clark's life. The season premiere was, like "Superman Returns", a glorified, expensive cartoon. We saw Clark jumping around, saving the day, but there was very little life in his character, very little of his heart. It is incredible that a show like this, with this cast, with this talent, this expensive, could have the ratings that it's getting. Al and Miles brought all this to themselves. I do believe that if they had paid a little more attention at what the audience was saying, the picture would have been very different. But it's their show and they’ll have it their way. Unfortunately I fear that if the show continues on this course they would have to watch it all by themselves.

I cannot believe Smallville was in last place, can anybody send me an email to tell me how many fans were watching smallville last Thursday night? I enjoyed the special effects very much, didnt you guys notice when zod was getting out of lex's body zod looked just like the zod from superman 2? that was awesome, the writers at smallville deserve much handclaps, they are the best.

The premiere was good, but the Phantom Zone effects were a little weak and waaayyyy too many commercials. Clark needs to fly soon, he got his butt whooped by Zod. I'm fine with Clark being single, he got bigger issues to deal with.

I am a big fan! always watch the show! Love Lana & Clark! but very disappointed lately now that Lex & Lana are couple:{{ I guess it will take a while to see Lana & Clark back together! Perhaps soon!? they have that chemistry, powerful & I'm pretty sure I am not the only one wishing this to happen :} I will wait & see..otherwise my friends & I will stop watching the show for now :{

I'm tuning in to Smallville, but the moment I feel neglected (as a chloe/chlarker fan).

If Smallville wants its rating ups they have to get a clue and promote Chloe/AM for once!
And don't forget, Chlarkers tune in but if you keep disappointing them over and over again, one day they won't.
:)

Awh, come on Smallville - you can't be in *last* place!! You should be giving the Office a run for it's money (though the Office played up Jim/Pam; maybe Smallville should play up Chloe/Clark!)

I'll, of course, be watching Smallville. Where else can I see the lovely and talented Allison Mack grace my TV screen?

Runaway is completely tanking in that poll and Smallville is close behind.

Sadly, the CW's ad campaign seems to have worked it's best to turn people off the show with amazing success. Wish they'd get a clue from Claire and put Chloe front and centre with Clark in their ads instead. Chlark is about the best thing the show has going for it. Oh, and Lex (g)

Go Smallville! Looks like another CW offering, Runaway, is tanking in that poll though.

I'm surprised that poll doesn't have a cage match for the 9PM Thursday night slot as well. Supernatural aside, there's Gray's and one of the CSI's and something else too and they've been going on about what a battle that slot in particular's gonna be all hiatus, but no poll for that slot. Weird.
