Lana kissed clark and found out everything and split up with Lex so he slapped her, and lionel is helping Clark and another Kryptonian because Lex is setting up an army of Phantoms by using their blood on dead bodies. Lionel ran to help Lana but she didn't trust him so she got in her car...and... there was a bomb implanted.... Lex was arrested on suspicion of murder and a phantom has turned into a Clark lookalike and it was a 'to be continued'... but anyway I CANT BELIEVE LANA IS DEAD!!!!!!! go on youtube and look up amean94 for video clips.

LANA IS NOT PREGNANT AND NEVER WAS. Lex implanted hormones in her body and made her think she was, so she'd marry him. But still she says to Clark that she loves him and wants to leave Lex after she found out about him. He leaves before someone enters the room. That someone turns out to be Lionel, who reads a letter from Lana to Lex saying that she is leaving him, and threatens to kill Clark if she doesn't marry lex. So while Clark plans a proposal, Lana and LKex marry. That was 'Promise', episode 16. Then in the next one the hormones end, but she thinks she lost it, but the truth is she never was pregnant. I am watching episode 18 right now, Lex has been kidnapped, Lana found out about the fake pregnancy, and Clark finds out about Lionel, who apparently ends up seriously ill, along with Lex, and Lana gets stabbed but i think she survives. I will write more when I've watched the rest. Oh and by the way Lana is thinking about killing Lionel, (and i wouldn't be surprised if clark is too) Bye Bye...

Hey, its me again. umm..... yea i think that there's not even going to be a baby and i think that its going to be a rumor. You don't see lana's stomach getting big do you? Like seriousy, you would if she was pregnant. OMG..... First, its not a bad idea with the baby. This could set Lex over the edge. I think they could have one more delusion of Lex's mother taunting him about his decisions.
Next, I think it would be cool (ignoring the baby story) if Clark got news from Oliver that Lex was hiding some secret from Lana... The fact that Witney could be alive and a POW some where... And Clark saves him even if it costs him Lana, at least she doesn't marry Lex.
I know Superboy was an afterthought for DC, but wasn't the story including some interaction with Lana and Lois over the years suggesting she was never killed? Also, I got the impression (its been a while since I read one of those comics) that Lana did know about his powers long before his missing 10 years before arriving in Metropolis for his debut as Superman.
Also, I could have sworn last year the producers hinted Season Six would be the last. Tell me what you've heard because I cannot find this on the net.

OK after reading most of these posts, a six year age difference is considered sick. People come off it they are both adults, She is 20 and lex is 26, 85% of all marriages in the world have this age difference, so what is so wrong with it being on a tv show for gods sake. For the people screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lana belongs with clark, You all make me laugh at your idiocy. Lana was never meant to be with clark, not since the beginning of the show. She was his high school love but reality check people, most of the people in the world something like 89% never marry their high school loves and of the few that do only have of them make it longer than a year. In the comics Lois is who he is meant to end up with. Period it ends there. If you have never read the comics then you have a right to say... but i want to see him with lana.. but if you have ever picked up and read the comic book please stop bashing them when they are doing what comic book fans want and staying as close as they can to them, while still making them their own in a way. The lana and lex relationship, ohhhh no she is preggers. So what he turns completly evil because of something, something has to happen to make him go full war against clark, Lana is the piviot point.. she is the only thing that truly connects them that no two men would ever forgive one another over. Something happens to her or the baby or both, Lex would just need her to walk out on him to go to clark.. not very much and evil he is. She has the baby and clark blames Lex for stealing the life he could have had and starts looking into the evil stuff lex is already doing and that sets it off.

Chloe as said before was never in the comics, but she is here, but she is a wild card, she can be used in any number of ways to further the story. To those saying its suppose to be about clark. A person is the events of their life, and not just a few little saving the world or big things, BUT little things as well.

Everything about you from the drink you drink in the morning to the anger you feel over loosing someone you could have or did love to someone you absolutly hate make you what you are, and dealing with that builds your character. They show more of Lex and Lana and you start to hate them so you want to see even more how Clark deals with it.

For all you screaming I HOPE THE SHOW IS CANCELD BEFORE.... SHUT UP!!

Go on the net and type in any show that ever got canceled and look at all the websites of people screaming and praying shows will come back. They never do, Enjoy it while you have it this is season 6 and these shows usally end around season seven. so at best if your lucky you have one more year. It sucks if lana is having lex's baby. However, if the child is clark, wouldn't that be cool...I bought the whole season just to wait and see if lana and clark reconciliate. If the baby is lex, then I guess there's no hope for them. Hate those script writers...stop turning lana into a hated person!!! She's my idol. Has it occured to anyone that this stirup might just be what the producers are looking for. everyone is so focused on seeing what happens because they either like the idea or not that everyone will end up watching it. I for one think this is what was for told to lex in his vision of lana having a baby but think about the possibilities assoiated with this because now they can bring lex's evil out completely and either rid lana from the love intrese and abuse that she has recieved or force her to leave the show creating the void that will allow lois to fill in CK life. it would also explain why Jor-El first wanted to take lana's life so that CK would not feel worse later

Why do you people keep bashing Lex as a pedophile? If I'm not mistaken, he was supposed to be 21 years old when he first went to Smallville. That makes an age gap of 6 years between him and Lana. Who don't you pick on men like,say, Michael Douglas, Donald Trump etc?

Personally, i hate Lexana because the stupid writers have to match Lex up with the most despicable character ever, Lana Lang. Please kill of Lex and let Michael be free to do something else. Then have 40 minutes of air time of Clark and Lana staring and whining at each other across the barn for the rest of the season. That should please all those Clana fans.

Well this show has definately changed, its almost painful to watch the re-runs because you know what it all ends up being in the end. I dont know about the whole baby thing, the show is already such a soap opera, I mean for lex being all big and bad they always have him or lana in the hospital every fricken week.

One thing I could see really happening is Lana getting pregnant, she being the prize to both Lex and Clark, So yeah Lana gets pregnant with Lex's baby and something happens, end result she dies and possibly if not most likely the baby dies too (not to be like morbid or anything) but yeah so she dies before the baby's even born therefore completing Lex's turn to full blown evil, my guess Clark is involved somehow unintentionally or at least Lex blames clark for their deaths and therefore sets his all out timeless hatred for clark indefinately. Or I could see their deaths as a result of Lex's error and Clark blames him ya know what I mean vice versa. Something big has to happen to set the ultimate hatred between the two...dang bet clark wishes he wouldnt of stopped lex's car from going over the bridge that fateful day right? Anyone but me notice the pattern that lex is super jealous of clark and has to take all his gurlies away...Lana now, Lois Later...or at least he tries to take them. But on the other hand Chloe is good possibility in the show too, cause I mean what are they gonna do with her in the future ya know? Which is a shame because I absolutely adore her character, another thing I could see is Chloe getting pregnant by jimmy and then something terrible happens to her and the baby (before its born) and clark cant get there in time to save her, making him realize his need to take on the role of superman...there's endless possibilities, but I think the writers know or I hope they know that putting a baby into the mix and playing it out would be a disaster, so I cant see whoever gets pregnant actually making it through to next season, or either way not making it at all ya know. oh well the show has gone haywire. Kristen Kreuk is a good actress I just think the writers screwed up the role badly, Lex just err pisses me off which is why I love him, he's so good at doing what he does. Chloe is the heart of the show, all goodness. And clark well...yeah he's...a bit of a baby. But he'll grow into those red boots. Sorry its just ever since I heard about the baby stuff those Ideas have been going through my head, its good to actually write em down. I think Lana and Lex make a good couple and I think she should have a baby. I would watch the show even more if she got pregnant. For starters for half you morons the show is called "Smallville" not "Supermans Adventures when he was a kid". Its a show about ALL the events that take place in smallville and happen around clark. I think they are doing a great job at developing clarks character and i see lana dieing very soon. I want to compare Lex to The starwars episode 3 where Anikan become Darth Vader. And just why does he turn completley evil? well thats because the one hes closest to dies. i think if lana is still with lex when she dies clark will blame her death on lex. by doing this lex and clark will have developed the greatest rivarly in all comic book histories. I also like how everytime they talk about Clark finding somone new some day Lois turns the corner and is right there in the picture. Small gestures like that are what IMO make the show so great. keep up the good work and btw i think that the green arrow is a freakin bad ass and hopefully gets with lois soon. Lex/Lana sex? Possible baby? I honestly don't recognize the show anymore....I don't recognize the characters...or anything...it has become a typical stupid and meaningless soap opera with all of the cliche's that come with it...Oh well...it was bound to happen I guess...

I have been a dedicated fan of this show for the past 5 seasons....but it has become obvious in this 6th season, that the producers/writers are heading towards a completely different direction.....one that I have no interest in watching...

I want to thank them for what they did give me over the years...the excitement and enjoyment of watching my favorite characters (Clark and Lana) deal with high school, growing up, life, and love....of seeing the sweetness of "their" young love and romance. It was beautiful....when it was given a chance. Something you don't see much on TV anymore....

Anyway, it is unfortunate that after 5 years, the focal relationship of this show would get treated this way....to the point where I don't even recognize/connect with characters anymore....I always knew their relationship would come to an inevitable "end" but to end it so horribly (killing the magic it once had) was something I was not expecting at all....and I say "ended" (even though the series hasn't finished) because the producers were very clear in their feelings towards this relationship...that and along with what I have seen on my TV screen these past Smallville episodes (last season/this new one; very depressing)...so if they don't care, why should I? So I don't.....I chose to walk away and not watch and just remember the good things...

Why do I have a feeling that there might be no real pregnancy for any female characters on the show, but something stupid like a baby found in a field or something somewhere....i'd rather have a stupid, repeat story line like that rather than any of the frmale characters getting pregnant...it just doesn't make sense in Smallville...

Anyways.About this baby business.In the real Superman story there was never a relationship between Lana and Lex.Even though i think it's an interesting relationship and a great plot twister and all i don't think it will last.I will even put out that the story goes that Lana was the only friend of Clark's who new his secret and that she was his first love but in the end she ended up marrying Pete Ross.She ended up having a baby with him and named him
Clark becaues while he was Superman he saved their baby.So the baby cannot be Lana's.But even if it is she won't stay with Lex forever.He's evil.She'll figure that out sooner or later.I personally think that it could very well be Cloe's baby.I mean think about it.Cloe gets pregnate.She leaves the daily planet.She goes out and starts a new life.I love Cloe.She's one of my favorite characters.But she was never in the Superman story.There was Clark,Jimmy,Lois,Perry White and Lex.And sometimes Lana made a guest appearance.I don't want Cloe to leave but it may be the only way to write her off the story and lead up to the time of Superman.

Lexana is disgusting. A Lexana baby is a show killer. Lex was out of college when Lana was a freshman in high school. If she was 14 and Lex was at least 22, maybe more, we don't know how long he had been out of college. There is a least 8 years difference if not possibly 10. That makes Lex a pedophile.

There is no excitement exhibited by anyone. I think that M/G have moved on. They don't want to be bothered with truly telling the story of Clark Kent. They keep bringing in other heroes, hoping it bring in the audience. I'm sure they are much more focused on heroes than Smallville.

The main three characters have become people we no longer recognize. Clark, worst of all, has become a weak, frightened shell of who he was in the start of the show. As a matter of fact, everyone is so flawed, that we don't care about them anymore. Lana, poor Lana. I can't even imagine how Kristin must cringe every time she reads her next script. I bet, if there is a way, she will leave this show before the end of it.

Dudes, I ain't watching no stupid baby show, especially not with added "Lana, Lana, LANA." This show is about Clark! Superman! I want to see him fight with Brainiac, start working for the Planet, get more of his powers, tangle with Lex.

Baby = BORING. (And my sister HATES Lexana so I'll end up watching Ugly Betty if Lana's pregnant. Blah.)

Unless one of the actresses is actually pregnant (in which case, congratulations Allison, Erica, Kristin or Annette!) I think a pregnancy plot is a really bad idea. It's a generic soap opera idea and will slow the action down. There are already too many scenes on Smallville where people just stand around talking. NO BABIES :)

I would like to think it's going to be Martha, but something tells me that's not the case. Most likely it's Lana.

I've watched Smallville ever since it started airing. I put up with the stuff I don't like (lack of continuity, Lana) for the sake of all the stuff I do like (the rest of the cast, DC characters, good action.)
But if one of the girls gets pregnant, I'll watch something else instead because it's painful when a good show goes "the baby route". X-Files and Xena were never as good afterwards.

I also wouldn't buy the S6 Dvds if a baby is introduced. I've bought all the other dvds before but if there's a baby....no.

I hate the idea of a baby! My boyfriend wouldn't come to "Superman Returns" with me because there was a kid in it and I think a lot of guys stayed away from the movie because of that.

If the baby idea is just so that Lana will have a plot, that's dumb. She should have a better story than just clinging onto guys & having babies. Like, she should get a job!

I'm sure that Lex and Lana has fans. But not enough to be called popular. In fact if I regroup the fans and the casual viewers togheter, the feelings around this couple may go towards indiference to repulsion. So please, TPTB? Why adding a baby in the mix? To gain more viewers for Ugly Betty?

Some of my friends watch SV for the 'ships, some for the action (that's me!) But NONE of us watch for babies and if that's the best the writers can think up.....uh, I think you might want to hire new writers! (Send the writers that like babies over to 7th Heaven!)

Maybe they will bring Pete back to Smallville and Lana will turn to Pete because she cannot trust Lex or Clark and in a moment of passion it happens. Lana end up with Pete in the end anyway.

I really hope SV doesn't do this because a baby would mean the show is out of ideas and it's such a waste. There's so many cool Clark stories that haven't been told yet.

As a Lana fan, I would hate her to have a baby (doesn't matter whether it's with Clark or Lex.) She's too young - and so are Lois and Chloe.

I thought the CW was trying to reach out to male viewers aged 18 - 34? That's me and my brother. I'm 23 and he's 18 and we will both switch over to My Name is Earl if there's going to be a baby plot on SV. That's not what a Superman show is supposed to be - that's a dumb soap opera plot line.

Ok, maybe you missed the part where I said it was no offense to her character. I don´t actually blame Chloe I like her character, I blame the writers. It´s one thing to have someone to support him, but what happens most of the time is Chloe figures everything out and Clark does what she tells him to. It´s no offense to Chloe, but to Clark. We never see him work, he just gets in there with his super powers and does his thing. That´s one of the reasons I loved the episode Mortal so much, Chloe is there helping him, supporting him, like a friend should, but it´s him in the end who works the hardest. I don´t see him becoming superman, sure superman has tons of problems and issues to deal with, but Clark doesn´t because he runs away from them, he doen´t face them.

But that´s not what this is about so, let´s not let our own personal love for certain characters cloud our judgement, enough that we fail to understand what a post is really saying ...

If it is Chloe or Lana I have no major complaints. But if it is Martha or Lois this show has just killed itself. In season 2 when Martha got pregnant I didn't mind because it was with Jonathan, but by Lionel...thats a different story. And Lois having a kid with GA? Thats just wrong. I mean is Clark supposed to marry her later when she has a kid that isn't his?

How about we look into the future at the Clois marriage:...when Clark "grows up" and becomes superman all of his problems are not going to go away. He will still be dealing with the guilt of not being able to save everyone, and any mistakes he makes as Superman. And you know what, the iconic Lois is going to be doing Chloe's job in the future....being strong enough to support Superman when he can't be strong himself...and THAT is what the real Lois is about too...

In addition to being independent, strong-willed, ass-kicking etc, she is the support structure behind the Man of Steel...because at times even Superman needs it....

so let's not pound Chloe for doing it now...because Lois does it in the future...

A baby? What 'genius' (note the sarcasm) came up with that idea? As cute as I think TW is with kids, I think this could mess with the show. If it's done well, though, it could be interesting, but past episodes show that odds are, something like this wouldn't be done well. It'd be messed up, so please...can we not?

I hope Lana will get pregnant. I really like the Lexana relationship and I know that Lex has a kid in the comics. So there's hoping.

At first I was really confused with the news, but thinking about it, I'm really interested to see what the writers are planning with this darker version of "Lexmas". But please! Let Lana get a job on he Luthorcorp, for example.. I think that could be a really interesting storyline and we could see that Lana is able to do more things than just be a trophy girlfriend... That's what I have allways liked about Lex and Lana, I hope Lex continues to encourage Lana to be independent and strong as he used to do in the past...

Pregnancy? Seriously? I haven't watched it since the beginning of season 5 and from the looks of things, it's only getting worse. This show is utter and complete crap.

I'm done with show if they knock up Chloe. She is the only reason I watch smallville. It's enough putting up with Lanaville.

To whoever said that Clana fans wouldn't be complaining if the baby belonged to Clark and Lana, I disagree. Maybe if it were a dream sequence, but there's no way in hell i'd want Clark and Lana actually having a baby. I don't even want them together. Not with the way they're being written.

Apparently Lana is so needy that she'll hook up with any guy that crosses her path. And whatever self-respect she did have is quickly fading, given her actions (or should I say inaction) to the camera incident in 'Sneeze'. Perhaps even before then. What upsets and angers me is the fact that the video feed of her was on the largest monitor (out of ALL the rooms in the mansion) and that it was paused at the very moment that she was getting undressed. That should have raised all kinds of red flags. And I think it did, momentarily. But then she just kinda chose to ignore it, which makes me lose alot of respect for her. I can't have respect for someone who doesn't respect themself.

Clark...I don't even know where to start. There is no way in hell that this is the guy that becomes Superman. He constantly mopes instead of taking action to fix the problem. Ninety percent of time he needs Chloe to help him, or even worse...to tell him exactly what he needs to do in order to solve the problem. He doesn't seem to have any self-respect either. What happened to all the values that Jonathan and Martha instilled in their son? Did he forget them? I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Not with the way this show is being written, where characters say and do things one episode and then by the next episode they perform a complete 180 and do the complete opposite.

Lana is in more danger than she's ever been, because she's with Lex. Clark knows this, and yet... what is he doing about it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Oh no, wait...he flirts with two of his friends who he's never shown any romatic interest in. Except Chloe, which only lasted, what? One and half episodes? (And no, i'm not dissing Chloe. I'm just stating the facts) We're suppose to believe the guy that becomes Superman in the future stands idly by while the love of his life is potentially in danger? Yeah, right...

I've never seen a show where the creators outright disrespect the characters. And the fans. Hell, sometimes even going out of their way to do it.

NEWSFLASH: The Smallville fanbase is not stupid. Nor are we naive. You can't shit on a plate, hand it to us and say it's a fine cuisine. Please... I'd really, really appreciate if TPTB gave us a little credit. It's really not asking too much.

If TPTB want to go through with this pregnancy storyline, there's nothing anyone here can say or do to stop them. But don't expect those that are strongly opposed it, which seem to be the majority, to tune in.

I do agree that Lex/Lana are the most likely answer to Ausiello's riddle and I've been thinking about it too, wondering how it will turn out, just like the rest of you.

Being a fan of theirs, I can try and debate why I feel Lex/Lana as a couple work beautifully, why I feel their story has been building for a long while, and why lines like "you mean a lot more to me than you know" have told us where Lex/Lana were heading for some time -- but all that aside (for now), about a baby, I think if it's true, then it'll likely bring the "Lexmas" dream back to the fore and for Lex, the decision that resulted from it. Imagine what he will feel. His dream starting to take shape before him. Lana loves him. They're a couple. A family?

I'm not sure how it's going to all turn out, but given that it involves Lex/Lana, I imagine it might be tragic. Because as much as I'd love for them to be happy, I'm not sure that's possible for them, for long, because of his destiny, because of what must be missing from his life in order for him to move closer to that darkness. It's all very heartbreaking to me and I actually don't like to think of all that; rather, I prefer to focus on the now, which is wonderful, and the what-if, which can always be positive. I only mention the tragedy because of Lex's destiny and how in "Lexmas" -- his dream ended in loss.

I did want to reply to one comment though: Lexana is an bad storyline that doesn't make any sense. Just TPTB looking for a placement for Lana this season... that's all Lexana is.

And I know I said above that I wouldn't debate Lex/Lana, but I just wanted to reply to this because I guess, I just want to point out that not everyone feels this way. I myself think their storyline is amazing and has been for a long while ... when he went to see her off at the airport in "Covenant"; when he confessed how much he cared for her in "Commencement"; when he told her in "Legacy":

I don't think it's about trust. It's like the German poet Rilke said, "A person isn't who they are during the last conversation you had with them. They're who they've been throughout your whole relationship."

These to me, are beautiful moments, between Lex and Lana. They've shared a lot during the past 5+ seasons and it's not surprising to me that they have many fans. Certainly -- especially going by this thread -- there are also many who dislike them, but IMO they are not a bad storyline, couple, or ship. I look forward to their every scene and I usually come away with a smile, a sigh, or a swooned-out heart. But I understand, everyone is different. I just, I guess I wanted to reply to basically say, wait a minute, that's not how I feel. I can't wait for "Wither". :)

First of all something needs to be made clear here. Tom didn't definitely say it was a baby for Lex and Lana. He said that Clark no longer has Lana. She's with Lex now. Then he added that there might be a bambino on the way and that would change things up a bit. But for all those who quote him as saying it's definitely a Lex and Lana baby...stop quoting. It's inaccurate, though I do believe he was trying to offer some insight without letting too much out of the bag all at once.

That said, I think any of the young female characters on the show becoming pregnant right now would be an act of desperation on behalf of TPTB. They act like Lois and Martha are the only iconic female characters here. Lana is an iconic character also. She was one of Clark's best friends. If having her sleep with his future archenemy isn't bad enough, to allow her to conceive a child with him would be the ultimate slap in the face to a certain future superhero who obviously still loves her. *shivers* Not to mention just plain gross. Okay, so maybe she's not the same girl Clark has loved since the Season One pilot...but has she really become so tainted and desperate that she has to throw herself at someone she KNOWS for a fact Clark doesn't trust anymore? I guess now all those young female Lana Lang fans will think it's cool to go bang a rebel and a guy no one trusts...and to have unprotected sex in the process.

What happened to actually writing good storylines for this show? Has that ideal been abandoned altogether, because pulling the pregnancy crap is a ratings gimmick and given the responses I've seen to it, one that won't work. Why would you insist on going through with it? Just in order to air episodes that a lot less people are watching? Maybe there's an underlying desire somewhere...in SOMEONE to see the show get cancelled? Just curious.

Another thing, i want to make one thing clear. I am a Clana fan, but it has nothing to do with my opinion, on the show. Lana having Lex's baby is....Degrading. Would Lana ever sleep with someone she doesnt love?....Im assuming she doesntlove him . It was lionel who said, " the people closest to you will always know whats in your heart. Thats why Lana Lang will never love you"...do you not remember that?...i guess you forgot. Did you also forget when Lana said, "there could never be anything between me and Lex"..?...or how about when she said she would never be dependant on anyone ever again?..or when she said she wouldnt be anyones prey?...Lexana makes NO SENSE. *takes off Clana blinders*...Nope, still makes no sense.

Its all so unbelievable. And no matter what TPTB do, it will always be that way. Are we all supposed to believe that Lana's had a thing for Lex, since the second episode of the season 1...WHEN SHE WAS 15!?.... Im sorry, but when i heard the Sexana spoiler i seriously said " well, i guess its(the show) over now"....The show, was already at the point of no redemption. It was The icing on the cake. The nail on the coffin. THE END. Now?...It pretty much comitted suicide. It has nothing to do with being biased of a certain ship. Its simply about this one character who never, until now, showed feelings for Lex Luthor. It makes her look skanky, slutty, needy....And just plain....GROSS.

I think it´s really funny someone mentioned your love for the character of Lana, since all you´ve managed to do in five years is make her an unbearable character. I find it sad that you´ve managed to make her so unlikeable that people actually hate her, she was an important part of Clark Kent becoming superman. Lana Lang has to be the most contradictory character on television! First she hates Lex, then she´s dating him. She gets mad and untrusting cuz he filmed her, but by the next episode she´s ready to sleep with him. I mean come on ... I guess it is easier to just pair her up with someone and not have to worry about what to do with her. The same with Clark, he spent years rejecting Chloe, and bantering and hating Lois, and suddenly he makes a pass at them in the same episode, totally out of left field ... seriously ... I mean you don´t even know what to do with Clark and the show´s supposed to be about him ... he´s as whinny and sulky as he was in season 1, I mean you´d think he would have grown a little by now, but it´s just gotten worse, now his balls are kept in Chloe´s closet while she´s out there saving the world. Not an offense to Chloe´s character, on the contrary, I think you owe that same kind of respect for the main character of the show. In fact you owe it to Lex too, he´s suppposed to be this insanely evil sociopath and right now he´s laughable, it´s pathetic really, we should be seeing his decent into being evil, not how everyone elses actions turn him evil, but how his choices mold him into the person he becomes. And Lexana is just wrong, in some ways immoral even.

There has been really pathetic arcs, but gotta hand it to you, a pregnancy is way too ridiculous. You already got so many storylines that hasn´t been really dealt with, why add another one? There´s no room for a baby in Smallville, no matter whose it is. It makes no sense, and won´t move the story forward.

I say work the characters you got, they are already faulty enough as it is ... you don´t need new people in the mix, after all, that´s just more people to get badly written so what´s the point??

Well, of COURSE it will be Lana who is pregnant, and none of the other Smallville females. She's already made her way through all the boys in the main credits (well, those under 50) so why not dump her with a kid instead of a decent storyline? Lana is primarily defined by her relationship with the men on the show and is barely a character in her own right. The only small silver lining I can find in this ridiculous rumour is that maybe she dies during child birth and the show can finally concentrate on the two best friends-turned-enemies instead of all this teen soap nonsense.

I think a baby is great, because it will be the final bad idea that drives me away from Smallville and lets me watch My Name is Earl every week. If the writers are this out of touch with the desires of their viewers and the personalities of these characters, then I welcome the final act of stupidty that will allow me to finally give up on this show. I have watched for three years because I enjoy the work of many of the cast members, but my patience has its limits.

we Clana fans might be angry, but we aren't dillusional. We know Clana is not a real possibility right now. I think the majority of us feel like there should be an overall respect for the classic characters of the Superman Mythos. Lana Lang would never sleep with Lex. It's absurd!! And not to mention disgusting...and it's a HORRIBLE idea for Smallville, don't even get me started on the baby.

GRIEF! The writing on Smallville has become so craptacular I can't even wade through it anymore. I remember when Smallville was actually based on the Superman mythos. Now it's no more than a trashy evening soap opera with a comic book twist. They've ruined Clark so much I can't even route for or sympathize with him anymore. They're running out of ideas so they keep adding characters who shouldn't even be in Smallville. Their love for the Lana character has twisted her so far into the mythos it's utterly ridiculous. Boo, boo to all!

As an old time Superman fan, I am appalled. This show has degenerated into a hopeless mess. The showrunners have resented being forced to write about Smallville and resented having to write about Lana and hav shown that resentment every chance they get. This pregnancy storyline is(then again all this show can do is rip off, not pay homage to, popular movies, Star Wars III, Saw, etc) just another example.

Do you want to know why your ratings are sinking, because storylines that could actually show Clark's growth are dismissed in an episode (losing his superpowers is always a good storyline because it causes Clark to question whether he really wants to be normal or not). How long did it last? One episode-in which we saw Clark act mature and think for himself with his parents and Lana at his side. Milton Fine, as Clark's college professor, trying to tempt Clark away from his human side to become more Kryptonian. How long did it last? One episode. Instead, we had to be rushed out of it to see Lois as a stripper.

In fact what is the longest story arc we have ever gotten--the rape of Lana Lang. Of course the mature, thinking for himself Clark has been reduced once again to a whinny little boy who hasn't earned the right to be Superman.

This show, in general, has treated its female stars abysmally with producers that make snide comments like "now that our characters are legal," or calling a scene that bordered on date rape "sexy." Further it has created a fan base that in some cases are vicious calling a female lead as well as her character a skank (which is one of the nicest things I've read by some of the "fans"). Knowing the characters form the comics, I get the impression that most of those so called "fans" would be getting a visit from a man in a red cape for what they have had to say about his best friend. Instead of defining the characters for a new age they have defined the character for about the 19th century when women were looked down upon.

What do I think of the pregnancy storyline? The worst move ever made on a TV show and a total disregard for the legacy of the character of Superman. Congrats on destroying an icon.

It's not only Clark/Lana fans who are upset about this storyline. The majority of people on the big SV forums are against the possibility of this plotline, not just the Clana shippers. Personally I hated Clana myself and I can't stand the Lana character. I am very much opposed to this plotline because it seriously sounds like a wretched idea. There's no use for SV to resort to soap opera plotlines like this when it should be concentrating on Clark and his journey to Superman. Pregnancies are always an act of desperation for a tv show to take anyway, and always result in lowered ratings and sometimes cancellation. Lexana Pregnancy=Shark Jump.

Please, Please, Please Don't do this. There is no need for a baby. It will take away from other stories and will be stupid. Lana will either have the baby or miscarry and either way it has NOTHING to do with Clark becoming Superman. If lana does have the baby then Lex will be either having to be good or be bad and it messes with things. How are Clark and Lex suppose have a struggle against each other while dealing with a baby.

Why waste time on this when they need to spend time on Clark.

IF THERE IS ONE THING I COULD SAY TO THE WRITERS AND TPTB AND DC IT IS GET SOME PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT COMICS AND KNOW THINGS ABOUT THEM. NOBODY CARES ABOUT DRAMA, PEOPLE WANT CLARK TO START PROGRESSING.

For me Lexana, Lollie, Chlimmy and that is ok if it isn't the main focus. This show is suppose to be about CLARK. I think that the baby is over the line. I don't know if the TPTB think all this kind of stuff is suppose to be crazy and interesting and that people will really like it but IT IS NOT. We want a show about CLARK.

I find this show degrading to women cause in the last episode we saw Lex had a camera in Lana's room for safety reasons. Okay now let me ask one question what female would still be dating some freak that has a camera in her room without telling her and gives some lame excuse saying its for safety reasons. Couldn't Lex just have a camera outside her room door and outside her window (if she has one) if he was so worried about her safety and also why is it that Lex still has the video of her changing?? This show is a joke I really liked this show from the first season
up to halfway through season 5, but now its a disgrace, its a disgrace to the actors who have to play these one dimensional characters, and we as viewers deserve to be watching some decent storylines not some dumb soap opera storylines.

I am very disappointed with the show that I have come to love so much over the past five and one half seasons. Being a physician, I am trained to look at things objectively. What I am seeing is the total disregard of the Sacred, " Superman Mythos." In addition to that a total disregard for the tried and true personalities of the characters in the story. The main characters who are responsible for the formation of the personality of the Man of Steel are being portrayed as weak, corrupt, without regard for anything of real value and totally without a sense of morals. Lois from the beginning was portrayed as little more than a sleeze. Now they are trying to do the same with Lana and I am sure that Martha will be next! This show is not Starwars and Lex is not Anakin nor is Lana Padme and SR crap should be kept as SR crap plain and simple. Smallville is Smallville and should be kept ON IT'S OWN. Why does any of the females character *who are still in College students might I add* need to get knocked up out of wedlock after only being in these relationships for a short period of time. Will the storyline benefit that female character or will it only benefit the character that knocks her up? This baby will be the anchor of this show because either way, that baby will not be born and then what......what kind of message will that be sending your younger audience. When this show started I was excited about the concept because it was supposed to be about Clark and what was his life before he became Superman. But Smallville has slowly killed that excitement. Smallville has butchered all the 3 iconic canon (Superman, Lois and Lex)figures beyond redemption. Stop all this pregnancy and triangles nonsense and concentrate on essential storylines.

I'm a Lexana fan, I'm kind of overwhelmed and nervous with the prospect. I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude for now, and try to see where the writers are going with this. For those who are disparaging Lex and Lana, threatening to not watch the show, etc., etc., I wonder if it were Clark and Lana that was going to have a baby, I doubt many of you won't be saying the same things and in fact, would be overjoyed.

Incase the Smallville creators and the CW network haven't noticed, the majority of the Smallville fanbase detest the Lexana relationship. Hence the ratings.

I decided after the dissappointment known as 'Reckoning' that I would no longer watch this show due to the overwhelming lack of character and storyline progression, continuity, and respect -- not just for the characters (In my case, Clark and Lana) but also for the fans of the show. I figured if and when TPTB decided to wise up that i'd consider giving the show another chance. But I can guarantee you that if TPTB go through with this storyline I will never watch this show ever again.

Clois. Yes it's early, but so what? Everything is topsy turvy in Smallville, and we know they are the destined couple. So let's get on with it.

Lex forgets the events of the last 6 years (wish I could!!), and moves to Metropolis. Before he goes he kills Lionel, which cements his evil destiny.

Chloe decides to work for the FBI in the X-Files division, and is assigned to cold cases. She solves the mystery of Mulder's sister and Scully's baby.

Lexana relationship is the worst relationship that I've seen on this show and that includes the FOTWs too. There was no build up towards this relationship; Lana completely despises Lex one episode and then she's making out with him the next. Where is the continuity of story? Oh..thats right..there isn't any.

I find it utterly disgusting that Lexana has "apparently" had hidden attraction since season 1. Lex was what? Twenty something when Lana was 15? Thats BS..Al/Miles just make up crap to justify their Lexana fantasies to stimulate their Lexana hard-on. I guess Lexmas didn't prove anything since it looks like Lex is getting everything he wanted even though he chose Power.

Now..even after finding out that she was taped changing by Lex...she sleeps with him?! Thats ridiculous in its own. This show has no respect for any of the cannon characters except of Lex. I cannot see how Clark will ever be Superman if all he does is mope in his loft all freakin day. Lex and Lana seem like the likely couple, if the writers are following the "Lexmas" storyline. But, I have no objections to a pregnancy or a baby storyline, because I honestly don't know where the writers are going with this one.

However, there was a tibit not to long ago, about re-writing comic book history. Lois and Ollie could have a baby and that would re-write comic book history, for sure.

The idea of having Lana with Lex turned viewers of the show away in droves. If they want to end the show, they should just do it, and stop ******* with the characters. Lana with Lex is revolting. I think if Lana does end up pregnant it would completely ruin her character, as well as the show. It's a horrible storyline, and feel terrible for Kristin Kreuk who has to endure this murder of her character.

I dont think the show's tanking, it's actually doing quite well, given a brand new network and some loss of markets, and heavy competition. But yes, a baby storyline could potentially mess things up irrevocably. So i'm hoping that nothing comes of it, and none of the women become pregnant.
