Chris & Lorelai suck as a couple. As do Logan & Rory, only they suck harder.
The show would have been served better if they had written a Marty & Rory romance because he was a way better fit to Rory than boring, snobby, cheating Logan. She deserved somebody who was both loyal and challenging, and Marty would have been just that if the writers gave the character a chance!

I can not believe Lorelai and chris got married without Rory! I just hope Lorelai knows what she is doing because we all know she still has feelings for Luke. I hope Luke and Rory both take the news well!

I cant believe my eyes: are you really serious lorelai broke up with luke and got married chris? why? did she go crazy? come on, it cant be true. i am not from the states and there is 6th series in the country I live in so I am a bit behind....:(

i hate that lorelai and chris are together!! she should be with luke not him! he was never there for rory and her, only luke was!

Okay so well this totally sucks even though Luke was acting so selfish and being so obssesed with the kid, like honestly things still should of turned out with Luke in the end, Loralie still should not be married to christopher

im also very happy for them together, but i know that they are not going to be together with chris forever. I think lor is going to cheat on chris with chris, and they are going to break up. i hope lor will go back with luck

I totally don't know what everyone is talking about! Lor and Chris are perfect for eachother. Chris challenges Lor, and so what he has a past: who doesn't. Luke is too independent to be in a real relationship, unless he completly controls it! He is SooOOOOoo wierd. Too easy to manipulate, and we all know that Lor LOVEs to manipulate. Yeah, he is better with her but thats just because he is boring without her!

I am very happy that lor and Chris have got together. David Sutcliffe is beyond hot and his character and Lorelai have an awsome screen chemistry. I never understood what she saw in Luke and felt that she and Chris always had extremely strong feelings for each other.The timing was never right for them before.
I hope the writers keep them together and get the characters to move this new relationship forward in a loving and mature way and also for Lor and Luke to come to a happy though plutonic stage.

ll started when the un-regretted grandpa, for some reason, liked Chris. He says "for some reason" himself. We don't know if he has siblings or cousins. But the granpa made a rich man of him. Maybe in order to provide for Rory and Gigi.
After the granpa, the writers, Lorelai, Richard-Emily, Rory (at times), some of the Hollow liked him. Should we be the next? I don't think so.
It is like watching a nightmare or when cousins date. It's written for making u feel sick. I had seen only promos and the Luke-Lorelai scenes in 701 and 702 till yesterday. I called up all my courage and watched some 708, because of the first LL interaction. The scene was sad and heartbreaking.
Only seconds of Chris in the house Lorelai once loved and Luke renewed for them (LL) were freaking, disturbing, uncalled-for cruelty.
Luke seeing the wedding ring was sad. All unnecessary and cruel.

About the wedding I'm happy, as I think that is the arrow saying "this way" to season 8.

At first I was really upset with them getting married, but its starting to grow on me now. I originally want Lorelai with LUKE, but he needs to get his life on track.

What is about Lorelai saying to Rory that she was sure that her marriage was going to work. She has to be missing Luke and realising that it was a mistake that she got married so soon. It is not the same Lorelai that we know, we want her back!

i am not so angry as everyone else for lore and chris getting married i think its great i mean they love eachother and if the love is real i say go for it and whatever makes lore happy and rory's parents are finally together. all i know is chris had better not screw things up or lore with her unsure self i think the writers could make things work!!!!!!!

I want luke to go bake out with lori.

I think the greatest sin is the fact that the Palladino's changed Lorelai's character in the last year. I don't blame the new writers as much as I blame the show's former creators. They changed who Lorelai was, they made her so submissive to Luke that she would have normally said something to him last year. She wouldn't have refused to speak to Rory either. They changed her character and left the building because they didn't get the TV Empire they wanted. SHAME ON THE PALLADINO's!

Based on the "new" Lorelai, the writers are doing a good job going with this totally revamped character. Let's face it, they had to pick up this show in a total disaster.

The old Lorelai belongs with Luke. The new Lorelai (a far more inferior character) has some good qualities with Chris. I sincerely don't know how the writers think they can undo all the damage the Palladino's did to the show, but I do feel that they are trying.

Jess will never be back, because Milo won't come back for personal reasons, whatever they are.

Logan is being revamped into a stodgy millionaire, who knows what is really down the pike for Rory...

Where have all of you been for the last few episodes? Chris is giving Lorelei all of the things she wanted from Luke, he is treating her like a queen and no one has ever done that before. I did get a little pissed when he wanted to get rid of Rory's stuff, then at the end, Lor is dong it herself. I fear that this will all lead to disaster, including rory hooking up with marty because she is unsure about Logan. No, the show isn't up to par, but I think we are seeing consistent personality behavior.

Lorelai should have stayed with Luke.Because Chris is just going to break her heart!This season is going to be really bad!She knows he is gonna break her heart!

well i dont want chris may be he is looking for a mother for his child as he wasnt around for rory why dont he go back and meet his ex wife. I hope Luke is a fighter and comes back and takes back his woman he deserves Lorelai not Chris. Luke am dependin on you to create some scene. I belive she still loves you

I am so disappointed with the way this season is going. I can't stand to watch Lorelai and Chris together. Was she in such a rush to marry that she had to run to him? I really don't like Lorelai anymore.

BOO!!! HISS!!! Get Chris out of the picture now. He dumbs down Lorelai and the show in general. I cringe when I try to watch the show and fast forward through most of it. Oh and it was ridiculous that Rory would be happy about the marriage and just upset she wasn't there. Rory is supposed to be smart. Remember when she told Chris to stay away from Lorelai? Bring back my strong, capable, lovable Gilmore Girls!

I dont like GG anymore. it turned into a nightmare. I'm so disappointed with this season. I haven't even words for that. The real lorelai would have never done this. never ever. she loves luke. always have, always will and not that LC crap. did the new writers watch the first 5 seasons? when lorelai was with someone she always was uncomfortable around them when luke was next to her. She always loved him and after 7.08 I'm giving up hope. It doenst even bother her that her ex fiance calls after 6 month not seeing each other? hello? knock knock!! anybody home? where is the weirdness? you feel weird when you have to face your true love! I dont wanna watch anymore. I had patience but I lost it after this episode. this is not lorelai this is not LL. this is not my favourite show.

I am soooooo mad at the writers right now. Have they even watched previouse seasons. I hated that they got married like that. They should have done it right her wedding should have and would have been starshollow biggest event. Emily is going to FREAK when they tell her. I think emily will annole it and then make them do it right and then Lorali better change her mind. Rory and Suki, Lane weren't even there. I find chris is not listening to lor about what she wants eg the TVs. I think it won't last, i hope it won't last. and the way luke found out oy, but there are some openings to stop it i will see....

Do you guys remember she could of had Christopher all along and never choose him, why now? Because she knows deep inside he is a selfish dead beat dad and never could count on him. The writers are writing him out once and for all ina a big way give it some time and us Lor and Luke fans will win!

Okay, so they got married. and Lor says she is so happy. But why doesn't she look happy? I mean you can see the not happy look all over her face. Why does she care so much about what others think?I think she just married Chris without thinking cause she is still really in love with Luke. I mean at the hospital and the Doctor even thought they were married. When you truely are in love you don't worry about what others think. She has changed and needs to go back to the old Lor and get back with Luke. And Chris he just did this because he did not want Luke with Lor. If he truely had wanted Lor he would never have let her go in the first place.

The name of the show is Gilmore GIRLS! What is all this crap with Christopher and Logan? These two are losers and contribute nothing to the program.

The writing this year is not quite the same but I can live with it if you will just get rid of the two males who seem to have taken over.

I'm giving it two more episodes and I'm bailing if the plot does not twist away from the male dominance of the two loser boyfriend/husband stuff.

I hate Lorelai Christopher I think it makes no sense based on the previous story line Luke and Lorelai was such a romance where is the romance with Christopher. I hate their relationship

I never like Chris and Lorelai together unitl recently. They definitely make a great couple. Luke is just a weirdo. Lorelai is way too good for Luke.

I am waiting for Jess and Rory. I loved Jess. Reckless ways and all.

Lane and Zach having twins?? I hate Zach with Lane. Lane is an amazingly cool chick and Zach is just plain dumb.

I think part of the charm was the back and forth of Lor and Luke. He understood her so well until he freaked out about being a dad. Please bring back Luke as the main man. I hate to see Emily happy...

Sooooo disappointed with this season. Not enough of the interesting characters. Lorelei is just starting to get really annoying. I think the writers need to rethink where they are going with these characters. This used to be my favorite show, but now, unless things really turn around or at least get interesting, I think I won't be watching next season.

I think that she should be with Luke.She's not herself with christopher.She looks like she's unconfortable around him.

think Chris and Lor are great --i love that they got married -- he's cute - they're right for each other cos they know each other really well!

I can't stand this! Just the look on Lorelai's face tells you she's not happy and she didn't want to do this. Yes, she's having fun in France and it's totally romantic, but all that isn't the true Lorelai. The real Lor wouldn't care about all that money can buy in France, the private dinner at an empty restaurant. Remember how she was with Digger when he reserved a private room in a restaurant for dinner? She hated it and they left. Right now she's living the life she has always hated, the life of her mother and father. And we all know how she and Rory are about being involved with every special moment in each others life. The real Lorelai wouldn't have let anyone push her into doing something like that particularly without Rory's approval and involvement.
The writers are really missing the boat this season; they're killing the show. Lorelai isn't the little rich girl. She needs the conflicts of work and the everyday life of Stars Hollow and all the characters in the town to really be Lorelai.

I think this season is unreal. I have to agree with one of the other commentors, if I hadn't been an avid watcher since day 1, I would have given up on the show this season. The Lor I know would NEVER have gotten married without Rory, she made Luke wait until they had made up from their fight 2 seasons ago; and she didn't just marry someone, she married Rory's father! I miss Luke, since the series started it has always been "Luke and Lor", I miss them, or at least having him in the show. You barely see him anymore.
I love the fact that Lane and Zach are having babies and I think they need to bring it more to the surface and not such a side story.

This season so far... They look like the Gilmore Girls... they sound like the Gilmore Girls but it's all posturing. Season six was not great (dare I even say, horrid) and now, they almost suck beyond the telling and this whole Lor and Chris marriage thing is one step too far. If I hadn't already invested years of viewing to see how it all turns out, I'd have stopped watching ages ago. (This is a HUGE admission coming from me, I've been an avid GG fan since day one - fanfiction and all.) But Chris and Lor together are lack-luster; there's nothing of the spark that, I'll admit, they once had. Luke is practically off the show at this point and nothing anyone does is even remotely in character or believable. I hope someone gets this act together and fast, 'cause time's a runnin' out folks and this marriage junk can only cause a lag in the real focus of the show (or what it should be by now) which is Luke and Lorelai and Rory with someone who isn't a shallow, pretty-boy poser.

I think that it is great! I have been there waiting to see Lorelai happy and I think that Christopher can make that happen. Luke had the chance to be there and instead he wanted her to be understanding and hold everything, but she is human and deserves better...I am pleased and very excited to see what is to come!

Don't get me wrong I love Luke to death, but I love Chris and Lorelai better. They have a history that Luke & Lorelai could never have. I was a little upset about the eloping only because I always wanted to see what a Lorelai wedding would look like! I was upset at the fact that they didn't think about how Rory would feel about them getting married without her. I think they should have a real ceremony now that they are back at home!

I was shocked. I did not really get how much I wanted her with Luke until I saw the ring on her finger. I started crying. I was okay with Christopher until that point. Luke is going to destroy him in the next episode. I really don't think its going to last long, especially with Rory's reaction in the previews.

Chris & Lor are great for each other. The timing is right!! Luke had Lor heart & soul, but messed up. Luke demanded he be included in things concerning Rory becuase Lor wasn't alone anymore, but he didn't give her the same consideration and trust. I have always liked Luke, he has a good heart, but Chris really "gets" Lor. He has a daughter with another woman but gets that Lor has to be involved, where Luke just shoved Lor aside. Now he has to deal with that. Chris is best for Lor.

i dont like the fact that she married him but its just a show as long as it keeps on showing i am fine.

I think it makes Loreli look desperate to marry and very impulsive. I don't think she's in love with Chris, but in love with the idea of being married. In the real world, this would be a receipe for a quick marriage to fail.

I think its awesome that Lorelai and Chris got married, FINALLY! Lorelai deserves to be happy and this guy is it. She has known him for EVER they have something that Lorelai and Luke will never have and thats history, im glad they got married! WOOHOO!!!

I love Chris and Lorelai together. I was a little surprised at them being married when they got back. I always wanted to see what a Lorelai wedding would look like! I think they should have a real ceremony now that they are back at home!

What marriage ? Did you see a marriage ? Did I miss something ? This thing isn't legal anyway. Not only did they not have all the papers required for that but Chris also says in the promo they got married in Giverny. It's a small town and to 75% Catholic which means the church there is as well Catholic. Even if Lorelai was Catholic, which she isn't, they could have never gotten married there because our little 2 minute man is a divorcee. The ceremony was in French so who knows to what those two idiots said I do to.

one of the best episodes ever. hahahaha i laughed my ass off. It all happened in one freaking hour!!!!! 2 minutes sex. hahaha. 3 ILYs? hello? that was cheesy and brilliant. they so do not belong together. thanks. I had tears in my eyes. You're having fun mocking that couple by showing them as 16 years old idiots. great. bring on more. hope you know its not legal to get married in france. so well they cant be married. hahaha. thnaks.

Call me crazy but that was the best episode this season so far. I bow to the master Rosenthal because he had the guts to mock the show and that relationship. Honestly Rosie you rock !! 100 ways how to NOT show a relationship and you mastered them all. Thank you ! You gave us JJs the best mocking material out there and showed us what a freaking joke that couple is.
You put every romantic cliché in that episode. The corny music in the background when our lovey-dovey perfect for each other couple was at the restaurant. The really beautifull looking fake Eiffel Tower in the background and of course our couple had to share a kiss when the sun starts to rise behind the Tower.
Of course they had to share an I love you but why just one - no make it three. Just throw them out there like they mean nothing. Wait wasn't that your intention ;)
And last but not least. Our couple had to share the best sex known to man. Just too damn bad Chris our 2 minute man struck again.
Waking up, counting the spots on the ceiling (boy those two have fun with each other), searching for food in the streets of Paris, going back to the hotel room, having the most amazing sex in the world, taking a shower, getting GQed up and heading out for the restaurant again - ALL that in ONE hour. Wow so the sex was great then eh - laughing out loud here !

And by the way - thank you for all those nice anvils in that episodes ;)

I am disappointed with this ending. What made this show so great was the relationship in family. Lorelei and Rory, and Emily.
You'd think that getting married would give the writers a chance do some great things with these relationships.
Luke was the one for Lorelei but thay made him so weird with the Dad thing. This should have made their relationship so much cooler. But the writers decided to make this great character a wimp. I am sorry that this show has lost so much of it's edge. It was witty, smart but now it is a soap opera.

GG has gone downhill....this edding is the last straw. I keep watching, but I get more depressed. Lorelai is turning into her MOTHER.....marrying a rich guy and living in luxury. Luke was the one for her.

i think that this whole Chris and Lor thing is awsome but not.... i think it is so cool because they have a daughter together and they should atleast get along let alone get married. i dont think it is so awsome because Rory doesnt know and she should.... it is her own parents, but i do think that Chris is so totally ho so c'mon somebody has to aggree with me?????

I was okay - not thrilled, but okay - until he proposed. Honestly I felt sick watching that. And wanted to smash something. But then I had two little glimpses of hope. First, she was pressured into getting married. She didn't want to, especially not with Rory there. But I can imagine what was going through her head. She was having the chance to get married so she jumped at it. Stupid woman. I miss the old Lorelai. The one who could confidantly stand on her own two feet. Then again - maybe she was never really self-confident to begin with. I can honestly say through the last two seasons I've seen a side of Lorelai I never imagined. I won't say I hate her character, but she's not who I thought she was, and it's very disappointing. Did anyone notice Lorelai's look at the end of the episode? Compare that to waking up next to Christopher. It's quite similar.

Can't wait to see Rory's reaction. I hope she's livid. Serve Lorelai and Chris right. Getting married without her being present.

just saw the preview of next week GG.i think all the fans who dislike chris -lor relationship are gng to find it good..though im not an angry fan of them, but im happy that RORY is not gng to be happy with the marriage...hehe guess someone is gng to put some sense to LOR n her HEAD..that she is just depressed after the luke thing n guilty for sleeping with chris soon after the fight with luke...lets see how things turn up...i guess we are going to start seeing drama of this season..n i would say that is our Real GG..

The ratings are still going downhill the more they promote and continue to explore the Chris and Lorelai relationship.

As a long time viewer of Gilmore I had to lower my expectations of this show even more this season. And for the first time EVER I didn't watch French Twist, maybe...someday.

To DR, no matter how you spin it, you are not being true to the history of this characters. Lorelai is much more than a woman desperate to get married to the first man that will take her (Chris). L/L may not be together but they were always friends first.

i absolutley loved this episode!!! i dont care who hated it. they can go cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. Im so excited to see what is going to happen!! and DUH luke and lor go their separate ways. they did break up!! heellooooo! thats what happens when people break up. It was kinda his fault anyway. a little to much of the rough exterior, and a little to late on breaking it down. thats life really though. any way, writers and all the people that go into making this show happen, KEEP UP THE GRRREAT work!!!

although i am a big fan of luke i have alwaysss thought christopher and lorelai were ADORBALE and made for each other! they always had that something from their teenage years. as much as you wanted it to be luke, you still wanted christopher and lorelai to end up together.

I'm happy that loralei finally married chris. now all we need is to get logan back in action with rory. if luke really wanted loralei it would of shown it alot better

I LOVE IT!! I think Chris and Lor are fan-freaking-tastic. I never liked Luke and Lor together anyway and I have always loved Chris. Luke was not cute enough or witty enough for her anyway. Whoo-hoo...I hope this one lasts forever (not sure it will...but I can still hope) :)

everyone do stop complaining and try to just accept the fact that they are married. i hated the story plot too, but what the heck if it already happened? at least lorelai is happy in the process leading to the BIG ELOPE. eventhough the writing plot is a bit 'speedy', but at least lorelai is finally happy. although she does not look convincingly thrilled at the end of the eppy. for me, i will try to take it as a process of change. unless we all wana live in the past where rory is with dean/jess and lorelai is still with luke as the pouring coffee/on and half off lover guy. and not forgetting lane is still squabbling with her mum. also, emily is still having issues with lorelai's present state of life. seeing this season made me realize one thing. time change, people change. BUT.. not too quickly, unless some hokus pokus is going on - eg: lane get knocked up after one try. i m gona try to accept each eppy as it goes. even though i hated the huge change the writers did to lorelai's personality. childish and impossible. no longer the witty, confident woman i used to admire. but who knows? maybe she's having a quarterly life crisis. we might not know. :)

It was a romantic but horrible episode. I think the there are 2 reasons why Christopher did what he did. The first one is that he loves her. (<== Of course, that's somewhat obvious eventhough he left her twice...), and another is that he was afraid of losing Lorelai once they are back in the States. Because, in the back of christopher's mind, Luke is going to take Lorelai away, that's why Christopher pushed Lorelai in getting marry. It wasn't because it was romantic. It's because if he can't have her, no one can... That type of analogy.

I loved the stuff with Lane, Zach, and her mom. I also didn't mind Rory's storyline. However, I could not watch Lorelai and Christopher. I do not want them together and the idea of Lorelai eloping is just so out of character, imo.
I do hope that we will start seeing Luke with Lorelai more. I mean even if they aren't dating right now, they live in the same town. Yet there is no interaction. This does not make me happy at all.

I think that Lorelai and Christopher BELONG together and I couldnt stop smiling yesterday. I such a girl. They seem to have such a natural chemistry and they are enjoyable to watch!

omg it was depressing watching this episode. someone please shoot the writers dammit! how can Lor. rush into stuff like that with Chris? and ofcourse luke would knock chris out in a heartbeat but as you said thats another post.

But come one, i dont even think they'r going to last at all. i WISH someone would break them up NOW. this has become UNWATCHABLE for me, damn you writers ruined it for me! damn you!
