i love smallville but no affense smallville but i neve really liked it until lois came on. i love her character me and her character are so much alike wi could be twins. also the main main reason that i watxh smallville is because i an so praying that lois and clark will come a couple they are perfect for eachother i definentlu don want clark and chloe to br together i would so stop watchin the show for ever and ever if you made him and ger a couple. i mean who else should clark end up with i mean chloe is just a friend and it should stau that wau and lana is pregrant i mean r u guys wacko u cant bring that couple back. the only othe person left is lois so please dont let me down the way mt parents let me down when they put me up for adapton. o please

i'm not crazy about either of those Loises, but if i were going to choose, i pick Kate for sure. she's beautiful, real, and a talented actress.

LorelaiG I think that they will save Lana soon, don´t worry about that. I´m not agree with your "Don't forget that Clana is the relationship that made everyone a fan of Smallville", in fact Clana is the reason I didn´t see Smallville before season 4. I don´t like this ship at all, but I really want that Clana become friends and I think they will. I don´t think that Clois need to ruin the relationship of Clark and Lana, clois are mean to be with or without Lana and we´ll see it when clana become friends again.

Finally, about this topic, I love Erica Durance she is so funny. They are the best Lois and Clark ever. I´d love to see "metropolis" with them. I love CR too, but I don´t like film´s Lois so much.

I am more excited about Crimson and I can't wait to see how Miss Lois fireworks Lane treats our bad boy Clarkie! That would be fun...

I don't think there is any comparison between Erica and Kate because they are both entirely different. However, as far as Lois's habits, traits and characterization is concerned, I find Erica more closer to the comic books Lois Lane. Erica Durance has done a nice job in Smallville and her addition to the cast is really an asset to Smallville.

Very rightly put. Erica surely has brought life to Lois Lane. Right from Crusade, she established herself as the ultimate woman in Clark's life that no one can compete. Erica's confidence has made Lois Lane amazing on Smallville.

The Clois kiss in Hydro is not unexpected because we know TPTB has been setting up Clois since S4. But my question is, why do they have to bring Clois by ruining the relationship of Clark and Lana? Is making Lana look bad the only way to bring Clark and Lois together? Doesn't TPTB know that lots of fans watch Smallville for KK and for Clana? It is very painful to see Lana being sidelined as the villian's girlfriend along with the pathetic "baby" storyline. Is this all you have left for Kristin who made your show a super-hit?? Don't forget that Clana is the relationship that made everyone a fan of Smallville so by destroying it, the show is not earning itself more fans.

If you have to follow the Superman comic rules, then isn't Clark and Lana friendship also a part of Superman? Lana will always play an important role in Clark's life in Smallville. She is the one whom Clark loved since childhood and will always love her in some way or other so please, please don't destroy Clana.

I have nothing against Erica Durance and nor am I going to make lame remarks about Lois. I just want Lana to be saved, because she is also a very important part of the show and it is really painful to see her character being destroyed like this. Stop making her a "villian" because she is not!

Erica Durance is the best Lois Lane ever along with Teri Hatcher. I love the animated series Lois Lane too.

I don't know which Lois is better because the only thing that hooked me up to Smallville is the beautiful relationship of Clark and Lana. Lois is the future so please keep her for the future. Smallville is nothing without Clana. Bring Clark and Lana together please. I am hoping that Lana is the girl Clark chooses in Crimson because they have wonderful chemistry and Clark still loves Lana.

Erica Durance is my favorite Lois Lane because she is very beautiful, funny, smart and amazing. Erica and Tom also make a lovely couple.

Erica and Kate both are best. Lois Lane is a wonderful character & all women who have ever played it have done a remarkable job.

Erica Durance is amazing in all respects. Unfortunately, she gets very little screen time. The development of Lois and Clark relationship is the only thing worth watching on Smallville right now. At this moment, these are the only two characters with the potiential to bring the show to life again! The writers can amend the pathetic mistakes they made by 'killing off' Jonathan Kent and the obnoxious Clark and Lana breakup in Hypnotic by doing something right with Clark and Lois!

No one can compete with Teri Hatcher but I like Kate and Erica too. Erica should darken her hair, that would make her look more beautiful and more 'Lois-like'!

I like Erica and Kate's Lois. They both are portraying Lois in a different timeline of their life and how the relationships affect them.

I vote for Erica Durance's Lois Lane. She is more fun and her journey towards journalism is very interesting. I think we should get more storylines that focus on Lois's past and her relationship with Sam Lane and Lucy Lane.

I like KB Lois too but Erica is the best Lois Lane ever. She is gorgeous and her relationship with Clark is very interesting. Tom and Erica is the best couple of this show. I don't even watch episodes in which Erica doesn't appear & I watch Smallville for Lois and Clark only.

Probably many fans don't like KB Lois because she is shown to be very subtle which didn't go well with those fans who have grown up watching Teri's fiery Lois Lane but I guess KB is in a different timeline so if you don't compare her to TH or ED you can enjoy her performance.

I personally enjoy watching Erica Durance a lot, but I also enjoyed Superman Returns and Kate Bosworth's 'mommy' Lois. We know Singer loves drama and triangles so it was fun to watch this emotion packed version of Superman/Clark/Lois.

That is a really strange combination because Hatcher and Niell have nothing in common. Teri Hatcher's Lois is a much better written role that not only does complete justice to the icon but also establishes Lois as a modern day woman and a role model. Personally, I never liked 'damsel in distress' Lois. Which is why Erica Durance's Lois is more believable and real because it borrows heavily from Teri Hatcher's version of Lois.

I'd love to see Erica's Lois interact with Brandon's Clark. I like Kate's Lois too, but she is nothing in comparison to Erica's version. Erica owns the role of Lois and brings it to life beautifully.

I've always enjoyed the small screen Lois Lanes than the movie versions. Margot Kidder and Kate Bosworth didn't impress me at all because the Superman movie series always lacks the dynamic of Clark and Lois, whereas in TV versions Clark and Lois relationship is shown very well, like in LnC and now in Smallville. I still love Teri Hatcher and I guess she is the reason why I love Erica Durance so much because Erica's Lois is pretty much like a Hatcher junior. When I look at her, I say this is how Hatcher's Lois must be when she was 20 so yeah, for me Durance is way better than Bosworth.

This is like one year old news, but I like the fact that CW blog loves to discuss Lois and why not? Erica/Lois is one of the most loved and talked about characters on the show. I love Erica's Lois more than any version of Lois Lane ever, even more than the comic book's Lois Lane. Erica's Lois is beautiful, witty, smart, perfect, intellegent, respectable and amazing in every respect. Truly a role model!

I am simply counting days for Hydro, and not just because of the HOTTEST kiss of the series so far (for there will be even more hotter Clois kisses, I am sure) but for the entire episode and for what it brings for Clark and Lois individually as characters and where it takes their journey. Smallville couldn't be better!

I want Smallville to focus more and more on Erica's character and her relationship with Clark.

Wow! Strong support for Durance's Lois around here, no problem, I love her too, but I guess Bosworth's Lois is also a good version of Lois. She is more like Singer's version of Lois and is much classier than Kidder's Lois. Singer has done a brave thing by showing her as a single mom and that is bound to make her a little subtle than the usual Lois Lane so yeah, she is not the 'general's daughter Lane' in SR but still Bosworth did a fine job.

The only thing that SR lacks is Clark-Lois chemistry but I think even that would be settled in the sequel.

Durance is a whole other story. She undoubtedly is the best version of Lois Lane ever. Not only is the girl stunningly beautiful, she has that spark that makes Lois larger than life and vibrant. IMHO, she equals Hatcher's Lois if not better. Moreover, she has excellent chemistry with Welling, something that Routh and Bosworth failed to share, but like I said, it will be taken care of in the sequel, I am sure.

IMHO, Durance and Bosworth are both great versions of the iconic character in different timelines.

PS: As for spoilers, yes, Clark and Lois kissing would be wonderful, we've already seen from Hydro pics the wonderful chemistry between Tom and Erica and those who complained that TW and ED were never allowed to show any sparks can now well see that they light up the screen together.

Unlike Superman Returns' Lois and Clark, our Smallville Lois and Clark have such a wonderful chemistry. I can't wait to see Crimson.

Chloe and Jimmy breaking up is sad, but if Chloe pines for Clark again, I will feel sorry for her. It is injustice to her character, how long will they keep doing it to her? Chimmy was so cool, why did they have to break them up? *sigh*

And as for Clana, well, following the mythos, they should become friends again, that is all I would wish for!

Erica Durance is probably the best interpretation of Lois Lane ever. Her role is difficult because she had to chronicle the struggling years of Lois Lane. We all know the star reporter of Daily Planet and Clark Kent's wife Lois Lane, but do we know where she started?

Erica Durance is the answer to that! The spoiled child of a three star general who struggled as a waitress and then a tabloid reporter but had so much self respect that she never went to her father for help.

Then serving as a State Senator's winning campaign manager and later on as a Chief of Staff are all impressive parts of Smallville's Lois Lane's Resume.

Season 6 has enhanced Erica's character more. She is more mature as a woman in a wonderful relationship with Oliver as well as polishing her journalism skills.

I personally find Bosworth's Lois very pale in comparison to Erica Durance.

Anyways, the quote is old, probably before even SR released, and it is silly to even think that there would be a rift between ED and KB. They are both playing entirely different versions of Lois in entirely different timelines, as our Miss Durance very rightly puts it.

I love Erica Durance's Lois Lane & I absolutely detested Kate Bostworth's Lois. She was one of the weakest links the in the movie. Erica's Lois seems to be just like the comics' Lois and "S:TAS" Lois brought to life. She's fun, sassy, witty, and intelligent. She keeps Clark Kent on his toes and doesn't take any c**p from anyone. Hands down, she's the best Lois Lane I've seen on TV and in the movies.

The season may be outdated but the quotes are new.

Anyway, Durance is a fantastic Lois. She's the sole reason that I became a fan of all Lois incarnations. Yes, that includes Bosworth's.

Thanks for posting the interview! I think Erica Durance gives a refreshing interpretation to a well-loved character. It's fun to see a young Lois Lane . The character is interesting to watch because she is unpredictable, since everything takes place before her well-known stint at the Daily Planet.

I prefer Erica Durance's Lois to Kate Bosworth's. Erica's Lois is more energetic and fun. But I'm hopeful that the Superman Returns sequel will give Lois and Clark more personality.

About the spoilers I'm oh so sad to see Chloe and Jimmy end. If the change means they break up.

And the RedK rowdiness is starting to get on my nerves. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if it'll be sexy and fun or just soap-opera and silly.

Erica Durance all the way! Her portrayal of Lois Lane is the reason that I now love the character so much.
I'm not a fan of KB's or her performance. She just didn't seem right for Lois.
And I'm VERY excited about the kiss. It's going to be great. I mean, it's a Lois and Clark kiss on Smaallville!! Couldn't ask for anything better.

I think if smallville ends they should make it where the same stars from smallville star in a season of the justice league clark kent as tom welling the flash, aqua man, cyborg, green arrow, and just make them a season primere i know i would watch it and as the season shows they can ad green lantern, batman, and wonderwoman, and lets not forget green martian, i mean who wouldnt watch i d watch it and have some villians in the show like joker, catwoman ,lex,aresia,Brainiac,clayface, cheetah you could guest star some heros like red tornado from the 70's, guest star the nightwing have in the begining robin and him later in the seasons become nightwing i think it would be a big hit on tv, as a season showwho agrees with me??whould it not be a big hit!!!

They're both sad incarnations of what used to be an Iconic character. Now EDLois is a laughing stock of a character and KBLois ... I just wish would go away. And eat something. That might give her energy to act. Jeez.

Clare, tut, tut - this interview is *old*! Keep in mind the Australian tv channels are a force unto themselves. They work on their own timetable, often very different from the rest of the world not to mention, "current" isn't a word in their vocabulary when it comes to sci-fi/fantasy shows. Channel Ten's tag-line for SPN is something along the lines of Supernatural being *fun*. The la-di-dah sort of fun. Not the angst-filled, brilliantly written TV Show it is.

Here's some news worth posting about. AllisonMackOnline and SaveClana.com are both working on a charity drive/competition for Parker, a five year old boy with terminal cancer. AM, KK and indeed the entire cast have been involved in this. Forget the 2-year old interviews, how about a shout out for a true superhero?
