Rumorville: The O.C. Coming to The CW?

Benjamin McKenzie
Word on the street (or more like the Internet) that Fox will say good-bye to The O.C. at the end of this season. It's really a shame because it's rebounded this year with improved storylines and excellent new casting after a horrendous third season.

However, some people believe that the show could succeed once again on another network... for example, The CW. Would you like to see The O.C. on the big green? Do you think it's a good fit for the network? Personally, we think the series is worth saving. Otherwise, where will we get our Ryan fix?!

the oc needs to come back :| it's my favorite show ever. i've watched it 6 times now.

I'm such a big fan of the o.c., I hope they bring it back!!! :(

I think rather there older or not they need to bring back the O.C crew they have so much to work with now they all went to collage....

The O.C. a show that may now have been forgotten but deffnetly was always a hit. It needs to come back weather its a spin off or not,
the O.C. had so much going for it, and honestly its been a while since the last season so theres so much to put into a new season, so bring on the O.C.!

Please, bring back The O.C Season 4 left us hanging still with many questions and cravings for more seasons ! I think if The CW takes over it and with a new inspiration from other people it's possible to continue the outstanding show . C'mon it's 2010 , people had 3 years to think of ideas , BRING BACK THE O.C

i would love for the oc to come back becouse i love it and miss watching it every week it the only good thing that was on tv for me

I would love to see The O.C come back, I really didn't watch television until I started watching The O.C, I had something to look foward to every week. BRING IT BACK!!!!!

It would be fantastic if the O.C. would comeback for a 5th season and be on the CW channel

reba should do 3 more seasons with the same people.

please don't tell me your actually saying ryan and seth are no long the main character. they made the season, with out them it will just plum it again im 100% sure. i gotta say i love it and if there not in it its nothing. im sorry and i hope everything works out i will watch the first episode to see how it works but iunno if i read you right. please re comment me so i can bve caught up ??

The O.C is my drive to move past all of the obstacles to seek a brighter future for my family and myself. I love the realness of it all. The O.C. must make a comeback. The seasons, especially the 4th, prove that the end is not here yet. Bring back The O.C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news folk's THE OC IS COMING BACK, it is official, Josh Schwartz has planned it's re-birth for either november 2nd 2008/november 20th 2008.

Cw are possibly the newtork to be hosting it too, Only one problem i see for fans is JOSH SCHWARTZ is totally re-vamping the show but keeping the original oc's backgrounds and basics, HE might be moving the O.c to NYC or a different part of california/l.a-new york

Now a fifth series how could that work without it being in Orange County, simple he'd make up a name like Oc 2 NYC etc etc, but i could be wrong with the location

Als for everyone sad about the whole marissa death thing here is the 100% truth and low down

EVERYONE OF THE CAST WAS HAPPY WITH THE OC and planning on 5 yes FIVE seasons, but during series 3, mischa barton got offered MOVIE ROLES and abit of her fame from hanging around with paris hilton (dammm) got her a bit big headed, MISCHA ie marrissa told JOSH SCHWARTZ she wouldnt come back for a 4th/5th series and wanted to quid TO DO MOVIES, so with that she disrupted the whole cast, a few got nervous and in the end caleb i.e alan dale refused to sign on as did jimmy coopers character and 1-2 others AND yes jimmy guest appeared he wasnt a reg character anymore

Mischa Barton, beautiful as she is, got abit to carried away with fame which ended up getting the oc cancelled as benjamin mackenzie and adam brodie weren't happy with her leaving especially rachel bilson (summer), they panicked and had to change storylines and had taylor be ryans new love interest instead of bring theresa back, who remember is carrying ryans child without him knowing still, wouldn't that of been better if trey-eddie would of turned up at start of 4th series and been like hey bro, whats it like being a dad - eddie)how could u do this man etc etc ryan finds out he's a father and build a fourth series around him being architect in colleges etc seth becoming a major comic book maker/investor/seller gettin engaged not married, anna returning to spice things up between seth and ryanand ryan and theresa, again one drunken fling between anna and ryan could of shaken up seth and his friendship to the core, i liked anna alot more than theresa marrisa and taylor, i love samire (samir) armstrong she is beautiful :) (also i love allison mack chloe off smallville, 2 most beautiful women i've ever seen but hey thats just me lol)

Panic over THE OC WILL RETURN EITHER NOVEMBER 2008 OR EARLY-MID 2009, it might be in la, new york or florida i don't officially know yet (good reason for moving a new cast or reinventing the oc, new storylines and new places too see and visit, spring break 4th july etc
florida-miami is awesome lol

Whether its the 4th or 5th series, ive lost count it will be back withing the next year or so so don't worry my fellow oc fans, sad news is the original cast might not all return 1-2 might, good news the new oc could be based around luke-caitling-lukes brothers his father-possibly ryan with seth guest appearing a few episodes but nor a regular or the other way around with ryan showing up a few times, and also new cast members to add a more mature teen feel to it, to show the show has grown up alot

I HOPE WHAT THEY DON'T DO is have it "4 YEARS IN THE FUTURE" like when one tree hill returned for its latest series/ the one after dan went to prison for shooting his brother.

Personally i was dissapointed with the last series of the oc, i lost alot of love for the oc but now i hope josh re-invents it well and like luke said so well, WELCOME TO THE O.C BYATCH

i hope ul people rot in hell for canceling the oc SOUTH AFRICA

please bring back The O.C.,i just love it,i saw all episodes about 3 times, just because i love it,please keep it going,it's the best tv series ever, and get marissa back pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OC. IT IS THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER WATCHED, I HAVE ALL OF THE DVDS, SETH AND RYAN ARE MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS...PLEASE SOMEONE DO SOMETHING BRING THE OC BACK....WHO CARES IF IT'S NOT ON FOX.........WE WANT TO WATCH IT...SOMEONE CALL UP THIS SHWARTZ GUY....I WILL PAY $$$$$$ TO WATCH A SEASON FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the fourth season should just all be a dream and then marissa wakes up from acoma. make a fifth one!

is there anyone here who knows Josh Schwatz personally...i believe it could have been different if they didnt kill marissa's character...her and ryan were destine to be together and taylor...my goodness it really killed it. i cried over and over when marissa died...they could have just rehabilitated for using illegal drugs. her atleast she is just temporarily gone to keep her character from dragging and comes back and goes off to college and might hook up back with ryan and they will live happily ever after. pls, if anyone here knows josh schwatz...tell him to do that...please alot of people around the world...begging for a remake...cancelling the show and killing marissa was a complete waste. please i beg u please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I beg u please bring back the O.C...and do somethin..like bring back marrisa and go back and start again..but please dnt stop the O.C

Howdie peeps,
i am from England and quite frankly i love the OC. i am not the biggest tv fan ever but the OC was just the best and quite frankly i am pissed off with Fox cancelling it because they are selfish bastards. In england, it is missed very much, to be honest the other day, a poll said that the OC is most missed tv series ever and if anyone in production or Josh Schwatz is reading this or any OC members or cast reading this, try and get it back on as soon as possible. i am working to become a media director just to get the OC back thats how much i love and i think all the fans should come together and get it back on our screens. COME ON THIS COULD BE THE START OF WHAT WE ALL WANT! THE OC BACK!

SAVE IT PLEASE PLEASE!!!BEST SERIES EVER!

YES!!!! i still watch the OC daily, and thats being dead serious. i miss it sooo much, and if it came back..i think it would be HUGE.

all i have to say .. is YES !

The O.C. would bring the CW soo much more success .
i'm stuck watching repeats on SOAPNET .

Well well well! I just saw Gossip Girl. Guess what! It's not have as The O.C.! It definitely has a touch from The O.C. and you can see that Josh Schwartz is workin' on it. But real insiders know it's not the same. We all want The O.C. back. Seriously

oh my gosh plzz plzz make the cw take over the oc i love that show it is my life!!im watching re runs now kuz there isnt any new seasons plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz take the oc

Actually I know it's to late for begging to bring The O.C. back but it would mean a lot for many people out there in the world. The fourth Season was awesome and I'd love to see more of it. I bet that Gossip Girl will never reach the level and the fans of The O.C.
Does anyone know why Laguna Beach and other shows like that succeeded? It's because of The O.C.
The thing is it's all about the Benjamins. Money ruls. That's it. Thing about that. Money makes not completely happy.
Thanks for listening.

please please please bring it back it was my life it is the best show in the world i keep watching the last one over and over again and i think canceling it was a bad idea if you do bring it back and like racheal bilson or adam brody or some one dont go back on it dont worry find some one else but plaease please bring it backk well adam brody make sure he gose on it lol wel i just really want it back on i would give the world to watch it i have all seasons and i just really want it back me and ym sister it is the world to us so please bring it back i would write 10000 of these if i have to so just bring it back rawr i am lost without it it is makeing me so mad i cant watch it any more it was the best show ever and i know i probley repted my self a couple times but that is so you can get it threw your head that we want it backk so bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love SARAH WHO IS ADDICTED TO THE FUCKING O.C.

the oc is possibly one of the best shows ever...and you people just cancell it!! the cw is a much better network anyways, one tree hill + the oc...man you cant go wrong!!! BRING IT HOME CW

i cant take this. im literally crying my eyes out. i just watched the season3 fianle where marissa died on DvD for the 6th time.. it gets me everytime. I personally think killing her off was horrible, and then you go and have season4 which wasnt have as good as the other seasons[[because marissa died]] and cancel it! NO! everyone loves this show. i mean everyone. the best show ever. I really am not happy with FOX. I always loved the O.C> of course, and House, 24, and American Idol. But i'd have to say I'm not watching FOX anymore. THis is horrible. The CW is amazing. You hsould move it to there. They have Supernatural, SMallville, 7th Heaven, and One Tree Hill which I also enjoy. Take, 7th hevane for example. It ended on the WB.. and people were os upset. SO the CW brought it back and people were so happy! ONly THe O.C. I know for a fact can do wayy better. please bring THe O.C> back!!!!!!! either continue where u left off or make tons of money by continuing after season 3 and makin Marissa live. That was way better then Taylor and Ryan. Ryan and MArissa belonged together. please bring the show back. I know tons of ppl-- the whole world would love too. seriously. my whole school loves the show. PLEASEEEEE! im crying and begging you. pleasee bring it back!?!?!??!?!

SAVE THE O.C!!!!!!!!!!

I would be so greatful if the o.c came to the cw network.

I haven't always been an OC fan. Please let CW take over The OC... Please let CW take over The OC... Please let CW take over The OC... I believe that The OC deserves a second chance. Let us see the rest of the character's lives, and for once, see a good teenage drama that doesn't fall apart after the climax of a few highschool years. PLEASE SAVE THE OC. The CW network could do so much with the show. And the people that already watch the oc could be turned on to the cw's tv shows!!!

DUDE PLEASE SAVE THE O.C.!!!!

Please I have just finished the fourth season and i need more the taylor ryan romance is what the show needed. no more horrible mishaps with marrisa, like i think if you start the show again with taylor and ryan romance then it would be a hit like it used to be before trhe third season

Hi! , I´m from México city and I love the oc I don´t understand why you cancelled this show is great the first and second season were the best, please bring back the oc

O.C. is the gayest show i have ever seen and will ever see just end the show its a complete waste of time and money! take my advice YOU PEOPLE ARE ADDICIED OC SUCK! :D

i miss you OC, and ryan, and seth, and summer :(((

Please god bring back the Oc.... Ive watched it from the beginning... and the series ending was stupid.... if u can get the series.... bring mischa barton back... u can easily write her back in just start the series off with the car crash scene without marissa dying. i swear that will get ur ratings higher then it ever will be ever....these actors arent doin anything anyway... even mischa barton...... and if u did bring her back which u wont( u marry her to ryan like it was supposed to be... none of this taylor townsend bs.... she was the freaggin complementary prize compared to marissa cooper... ur show would suck without marissa in it... thats all u need for ratings

Hey there! I'm from Holland and I love the OC! It's the only show I really want to watch and now it's over :(
Cause Net 5 (the Dutch channel which is broadcasting the OC) has just broadcast the episode when Johnny died, we'va still like 25 episodes left. However, I watched all the season four episodes, and I loved the series finale.. Julie who is graduating, Seth and Summer are getting married... Ryan who is a succesfull architect..

Please let CW take over The OC...Please let CW take over The OC...Please let CW take over The OC...

I haven't always been an OC fan.

My friends got me hooked halfway into the second season. And when I say hooked. I mean hooked.

I ended up getting my mom and my sisters into it as well as a couple other friends that were ignorant to it's bliss.

While I believe the last season started out very well, dark and complicated, just how i like em, after awhile, the script begin to seem rushed, as if the show didn't have enough time to finish all it wanted to say.

I believe that The OC deserves a second chance. Let us see the rest of the character's lives, and for once, see a good teenage drama that doesn't fall apart after the climax of a few highschool years.

I believe that would be a wonderful thing to see = ]

i would love it if the oc would go to the C.W and if it dosent the oc will die and so will i. Please dont let that happen. I love the oc more than any one. Please bring it back it would mean everything to me. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please save the oc. you have no idea how much this show means to me, i swear, it's my favorite show, i'd choose it over grey's anatomany ANYDAY ANYTIME ANYWHERE, i honestly love EACH AND EVERY single character. this show has been there for me, sounds so stupid, but when i was in a sad mood, i keep watching the seasons over and over, i laugh so hard at them. it's just such a cute, amazing, funny, excellent show. i honestly think FOX made a HUGEEEEE mistake, and CW, it would be GREAT idea to come on cw network, 3rd season completely turned around. the OC is amazing, i watched the final i cried, it was the cutest; most amazing ending, but it honeslty makes me sad that it ended, i WISH, it will come to the cw network, i promise you i will tune innn. I PROMISE

SAVE The most beautiful show in this world (THE O.C.) I Really Liked This Show and wish it wouldn't end, but that happened :( and i miss it already i miss Ryan, Seth, Summer, Taylor EVERYONE !! I Want you guys to take The O.C. !!

Im not watching The CW anymore its so stupid I miss the OC already and its been 2 days you guys are mean

PLEASE SAVE THE OC. The CW network could do so much with the show. And the people that already watch the oc could be turned on to the cw's tv shows!!!

PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't save the OC I think I might actually cry myself to death! Please, please, please don't forget about the loving fans!! I watch Supernatural on the CW, but if you don't save the OC I probably wont be able too. I'll be crying to hard to see the screen. Please SAVE THE OC!!!!!!!!! It's my life!!!!!

Please bring Back the OC! I love the Oc so much..... I've never missed an episode.... Look at what the Cw did with 7th heaven... 7th heaven finished and the Cw took over for 2 more seasons.... I wouldn't work on thursday nights b/c I wanted to watch the OC! Best show and Plz bring it back!

The CW sucks as much as Fox does not for not picking up the show.

Please pou the OC on CW!!! I love this show soo much, but just don't put it on Thursday nights, cause that's when Grey's Anatomy is on. But the OC is still my favorite show. I dont know what I'm going to do without it.

The O.C. has definitely improved this season. After such a weak season three where I contemplated even watching the show again, I cannot stop this season. Stupid fox canceling party of 5 early and now the O.C.

if the oc is canceled we are going to have to resort to watching greys anatomy or something else. please please please have the CW take it over. thanks.

I LOVE THE OC PLEASSSSEEEE PUT IT ON THE CW, I WILL WACTCH IT EVERY WEEK AND SO WILL ALL MY FRIENDS!!!!

you should deffinately continue it, it deserves a second chance, and the fifth season would be awesome!

WOW. What A GREAT IDEA! I Love THE CW! It'll Be SOO WEIRD Not Tuning In TO FOX For The OC, But Hey... I Live For The OC, Not FOX. BECAUSE FOX SEEMS TOO CANCEL SHOWS *ALWAYS*.. (I.E: TRU CALLING [SUCH AN AWESOME SERIES] , FAST LANE, ANGEL, ETC). I TRUST CW...SO THEREFORE I WOULD LOVVVVVVVVE FOR THE OC TO LIVE ON! Plus, This SEASON ROCKS! WHO STUPID ENOUGH TO CANCEL A SHOW LIKE THIS. C'MON PEOPLE! OPEN YOUR EYES!

Oh And Another Thing, I Watched "Hidden Palms" Pilot On The Internet, AND IT ROCKS! Notthing Like The OC like People Are Saying....It Has Its Own Feeling... I Love It Already! But I NEED MORE OC.... OkAY let Me Stop... =)

heyy , if fox wouldn't cast it anymore than it would be the greatest idea ever !! and i think also thats it's a good idea that you would improve the show , and please try to conicince Mischa Barton to playy again !!! the OC is my LIFE !!!

season four blows i'm sorry but the show has become one gimmick after another. "38 hours ago" "12 hours ago" christmas dream, more flashbacks on valentine's day it's hokey i don't know what people are complaining about with season three, it was awesome and serious this year the show is a joke and i'm not laughing if you wanna know why the show went off the air it's not marissa, it's bad writing i own seasons 1, 2, and 3 i won't be buying season 4 unless it's like $10

i think it is a wonderful idea to save the oc it is my friends and i favorite show we all get together on thursdays and watch on my big screen (18 of us) and it's great fun the show is awsome and i would be really sad to see it go this season has rekindled the shows spark after the 3rd season and i want more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please SAVE THE OC SAVE THE OC SAVE THE OC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 48 and totally hooked on The OC. It's the only weekly show that I have watched since its debut in 2003. After The OC, nothing else can ever compare! I know people as young as 25 and as old as 63 who are also major fans. I pray that some miracle happens and The OC gets picked back up. I was fully committed to start watching CW shows in gratitude for them saving our show. Key word here being *was*. But I'd be willing to take that back if The CW picked up The OC. Where will we get our weekly Ryan fix?? One of these networks needs to snatch up Ben McKenzie and some of the other actors from The OC and get them back on series television, stat!

PLEASE CW TAKE OVER OC. OC IS MY FAVORITE FREAKING SHOWWW ON TV!! I LUV IT
OC=life. i have all 3 seasons and i never get bored of them. ill alwayyss love them<333
i really hope CW takes it over
~sarah.OC<3333333

This is my favorite show of all time. I am 31 and I still love it. I've got my 52 year old mom completely wrapped up in it too. I would be really glad to hear if there will be another season or not. Season 5 would be great. It definetly beats out everything else for me.

Umm so i feel that the OC is life...i get fed up with this 4th season it makes me mad.....i say that you make the fourth season an entire dream and find anyway possible to get mischa barton back on the show...anyway possible

The show is just not the same without ryan and marissa and it will never be the same unless those two would be together...

So i say make the 4th season a dream and have marissa or sumone wake up and it really be a nightmare and its just their graduation day...farfetched but i know hundreds of thousands would return for marissa

please someone SAVE the OC! I live in Australia and almost everyone I know watches and loves the oc. We all love it over here. Please let us be able to continue to watch a great show!

hey plz plz plz save the oc im from great britian and we have no good shows on over here and i need this to go on plz!! also i just got all my mates into it as i got all the box series on dvd this xmas!

I THINK ITS A GREAT IDEA TO CHANGE IT TO CW WHATEVER U HAFE TO DO TO KEEP THE SHOW GOING BUT THERES ONE PROBLEM I DONNO WHAT CHANNEL ITS ONI HAVE CABLE COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT CHANNEL ITS ON PLSSSS :):)

THX(L)

When will the CW announce if they are going to pick up The OC or not??

PLEASE PICK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the idea of continuing the 5th season of The OC on The CW. I think that many viewers will be curious to see what the writers have come up with for 5th season. There is so much potential for this show seeing that the characters are starting new chapters in their lives. I would hate to see this show end! I really wanted to see if Seth and Summer get married, if Ryan graduated and started a life of his own, or if Kaitlyn ended up following in Julie's "the girl you love to hate" footsteps. I just see so many new exciting suprises in the future of The OC. The writers have not yet failed to suprise us, so why stop now?

please bring back the OC! I LOVE this show! It would be really great if the show moved to the CW!

I have faith, like other commenters, that The CW actually cares about its viewers- apparently unlike FOX. All of these other comments perfectly state the benefits of adding The O.C. to your network and if I was to type them all out again I would be here for a VERY long time. The bottom line is this: PLEASE save a show that means the world to over 4 million people. It's all we can ask from you. Please stop four million hearts across the country from breaking.

The O.C. has not become worse since Marissa died, it has in fact actually become more substantial. Marissa added a lot of unneeded drama, and baggage, and without her the show is honestly better off. Some people though, are too tied up in the notion that RYAN + MARISSA = LOVE . It doesn't and to stop supporting such an amazing show because one character is gone is absurd. There WILL be supporters if this show is continued on your network. I can't stress this enough: PLEASE.

I'm from Hungary. The O.C is my favorite show. Please, save The O.C.!
The CW is my last hope!
PLEASE, SAVE IT!!!

you have to save th o,c i have been watching it since the first episode it has significant meaning for me i started whatching it when i was put on bed rest while i was pregnant and i have whatched it ever since never miss an episode if it goes i will lose a piece of an important part of my past and i think i will loose faith in all tv shows
please iam begging you save the o,c

Dear Ms. Ostroff:

Please, please tell me that you are seriously considering picking up The OC and running it on the CW Network as has been widely rumored. The existence of a CW 11 Tribune Poll and Blog would seem to indicate that the possibility may exist, although I do recognize that the blog/poll is hosted by the New York Station CW11 and likely not by the main CW Network office.

I can not even begin to tell you how devastated I am by the Fox Network’s complete and utter disregard for the fans of The OC. They posted their own Save the OC Poll which at last count was upwards of 525,000 votes; and email Fox all of the reasons that we love the OC. What did Fox do with this information? absolutely nothing. Apparently 4.5 Million people don’t amount to much. They didn’t even have the common decency to post the cancellation of the show on the Fox OC Boards; they let all of us fans find out for ourselves. I’m sorry, but that is just the worst blatant show of the worst disrespect I’ve ever seen. What was all of the hoop-la about? Can you tell me?

I’ve got news for the Fox Network; 4.5 million people are not nothing. I never intend to watch another program on the Network as long as I’m alive once the OC ends. I only started watching their programming (American Idol) while waiting for the OC to come on. It started during the 2nd Season of American Idol; I started watching Idol while waiting for the OC to come on. Eventually I began to give Fox’s other shows a shot and soon after found that I was mostly watching Fox programming in support of the Network that carried by favorite show of all time. As of January 3rd, the day Fox cancelled the OC I’ve cancelled watching anything on Fox except the OC.

I'm a big fan of your network and apparently not in your target market, but you had me at Smallville! I became addicted to Smallville while looking for something to watch on Sunday nights a few years back, there were 57 channels and nothing on. Anyway the CW Network made the wise decision to replay their young shows on Sundays at 5 and 6 pm respectively, both Smallville and One Tree Hill, so I watched and became a fan. In addition I love Supernatural; of course, I don't get to watch it, because the OC is on at the same time. But if the CW Network picked up the OC and put it on after One Tree Hill that would just be the perfect lead in for the OC, or vice versa. I couldn't believe that Fox didn't make use of The OC: they switched the OC to Wednesday for one night. And when they did it ran at the same time as One Tree Hill and the mid-season finale of Lost. How stupid is that? That's Fox asleep at the stick as usual. Put The OC on after One Tree Hilo and draw back in the teeny bop viewers.

Like I said above, when THE OC premiered I began watching all of Fox's other shows, Bones, House, American Idol….. I had never seen the first season of American Idol, but watched it when THE OC premiered while waiting for THE OC to come on. Since The OC has been cancelled by Fox I will no longer watch the FOX Network at all once The OC concludes. Fox has completely and thoroughly mismanaged THE OC for many seasons now and could stand to learn a thing or two about promoting and supporting a show from the CW Network. Your network knows how it's done. Apparently the only shows that Fox is interested in are: House, Bones and Standoff. Fox runs them several times each week. They cancel new shows right off the bat without giving them a chance to gain an audience. I really don't have anything positive to say about the Fox Network. Fox shuts down everything for baseball while all the other shows are premiering for the season. They lose people right out of the gate, because people make their viewing decisions in the beginning of the season while Fox is airing baseball.

Fox apparently no longer cares about the OC and has never been successful in shoring up the OC with an appropriate lead-in for the show. In my opinion, and that of many others, the CW Network is the perfect fit, because almost any of the shows the CW currently has on its network fit nicely with The OC. I say do it, do it now, because the fans of the OC are unshakeable and we will support the network that carries our favorite show. That's why we, the fans, have chosen to contact the CW Network to plead our cause to you directly.

Have you check out the myriad of posts of the CW11 Blog site? Take a look: http://blogs.trb.com/network/cwsource/2006/12/rumorville_the_oc_coming_to_th_1.htm.l

Why do I love the OC so much? From the start, I was completely and utterly captivated by the OC. My love affair with the OC began in the Summer of 2003 when Fox was promoting the heck out of the show and I thought, hmmm, this looks promising, I’m going to have to tune in to find out what this is all about, I needed to find out what happened to that kid from Chino and his attorney. I watched the first episode and was and have been compelled to tune in every week thereafter to find out what happened next. I’m always on the end of my seat watching and I’m pretty sure holding my breath, even when I wasn’t thrilled with the storylines. I had to watch, it’s The OC. And I love The OC to pieces.

What exactly started my obsession with The OC, other than Josh Schwarz’s invitation to Obsess completely? Where do I start? The actors, the writing, the storylines, the music, the settings and the attention to detail, the shout outs that call to mind a completely unrelated subject. They make me bark at the TV in hilarity, i.e., last episode, the story on Meerkats that the Cohen family was watching was a shout out to fans in the know who know that Ben in Junebug tried to tape a Meerkat documentary for his wife, and that Meerkat Manor is a popular show), remain in my opinion unduplicated by any other program out there, the likes of which we will never see again, and the very thought of it makes me heartsick. I find very difficult to even write this letter, it is bringing tears to my eyes and lump in my throat. A world without the OC? Oh please no. No matter how hellish my week is I know that for one night during the week I’ll be transported from my troubles, problems and woes and completely entertained from start to finish, and that means a lot to me as I’m sure it does others. It relaxes me, makes me laugh, cry, giggle, groan and snort and I’ll admit bark at the set once in a while.

Over the years I have come to sincerely love these characters, the way that they are written and the amazing talent displayed by the actors themselves, they breathe such life into them, that they’re real to all of us fans. I can’t imagine never having them enter my home again after February 22, 2007. That thought gives me a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach. What to say about all of them? Ryan (Ben McKenzie): the range of emotions this guy is able to convey without uttering a sound, he’s so amazing at the non-verbal stuff, and that’s not an easy task that Josh set for him, but he nails it every time. And he’s just so great at deadpan, he cracks me up. He’s brought such warmth and honesty to this tough kid from Chino with a heart of gold, that little sideways look/glare and that smile when it lights up his face makes everyone feel good. Then there’s Sandy (Peter Gallagher). What I can say, I love him, doesn’t everyone wish they knew Sandy Cohen, boy, he could sell any used car in a lot, he’s present in the scene, he’s just so Sandy. Julie (Melinda Clark): what can’t this woman do, comedy, drama, she’s just delicious. And Adam Brody (Seth), he and Rachel Bilson (Summer) are just magical together on scene, and nothing beats Seth/Ryan time, nothing. Kirsten (Kelly Rowan) brings such needed warmth to every scene she’s in, she’s golden. The new characters, Taylor (Autumn Reeser): hilarity at it’s finest and her chemistry with Ryan is undeniable. It must be said that I didn’t like Kaitlyn (Willa Holland) in Season 3, but this season, I’m loving her. Underneath what we thought was a mean streak is actually a soft heart. She’s Julie’s daughter completely!

This said, I now have to tell you about the Overseas Fans of the show. They must be included as they’re such good friends of mine and have been for a very long time. They have no say in our rating system here, but they must be mentioned. They’re wonderful people, from Australia, Canada, England, Germany…..etc. Warner Brothers needs to recognize that these people are fans too and they’re out there downloading the episodes as soon as they can because they can’t wait to find out what happens next. Actually that’s not good enough for some of my friends and immediately following the show, I have to email them a blow by blow description of the night’s show, then they download and then watch it again when it’s in their country, and then run out to the store or get on line as soon as the DVD is available to order it. JUST LIKE THE FANS HERE DO!!!!

When I originally started watching the OC, I didn’t realize how addicted I would become, but around about the 6th episode I started recording it as well as watching. Now, I actually watch, TIVO, and tape the show so there’s no way I won’t have a copy of the episode, and then I buy it on DVD when it becomes available. So when the 1st Season ended, I thought, I can’t wait till October to get the DVD to see it again, I need to be able to watch this again and again all summer. When I did get the DVD I must’ve loaned it out at least 10 times to get additional friends interested in the show, not to mention the friends I got hooked by making them watch it again with me. At the start of every season we’d have an OC party, dinner, the previous seasons finale and the season premiere. I’ve never done that before for any other show.

Fox just completely mismanaged the handling of The OC nearly from the get go. They needed to strike with the iron when it was hot, but alas they did not. Season 2 came on in November after baseball and well after people had made their viewing decisions for the season. Big mistake. Season 3, they realized they were wrong so they started it before baseball then stopped it for that, and then moved the night which further mucked up the works. Fox then promised fans that if the show didn’t do well, they would move it back. They didn’t. Can you see the handwriting on the wall here? Fox just plain stopped caring about the show and/or doing anything to support it.
Well, I hope they’re happy with the decision because they’ve lost more than a few fans with their decision to cancel the OC; No OC, no Fox for me. I truly believe that the place for the OC is the CW Network. You guys try harder, you know how to support a show, and you show re-runs. Please pick up the show, put it on after One Tree Hill or before, as they are the perfect shows to follow each other. I never watched One Tree Hill or Smallville originally, but the CW Network knows how to rope in new fans, you guys ran re-runs of those shows on Sunday nights to draw in other viewers and that’s how I got sucked in. It was perfect and I was hooked. Now I promise you this, that should the CW Network grant me my heart’s desire and support my favorite show of all time (just to put it in perspective, I’ve never written to a Television Network in my life till I had to fight for the OC), I am prepared to support the CW Network in any and every way that I can and bring a few million of my friends with me. I already watch Smallville, I don’t watch Supernatural anymore because it’s on at the same time as the OC. Please, please pick up my show; it’s not time for its demise yet. The OC is such an excellent show, and there’s not a lot of that around. I realize that it is the aim of the CW Network to reach an audience of younger adults, those aged 18 to 34, who are especially sought by many advertisers. Warner Brother’s film division is a heavy advertiser on the CW Network, trying to reach that group, and as luck would have it Warner Brothers owns the rights to The OC. And Warner Brothers is a part of the CW Network, the CW Network and the OC, as Seth would say, “It’s an unbeatable combination!” TV Series Finale.com which says it would be a smart move for Warner Brothers to produce the OC for a 5th season to get it to 100 episodes, the benchmark for profitable syndication. What about all of the great music put out by the OC, I’m not ready to say goodbye to that either, that’s got to be a goldmine for Warner Brothers.
If Josh feels that he’s out of ideas and doesn’t know where to take the show after high school, I can think of several things off the top of my head. Jump ahead a few years or even a year or two, Ryan’s in college for architecture and working as an intern at a company, Julie marries Dr. Robert and Neil and buys the Architectural firm that Ryan works for and chaos ensues. Summer is an environmentalist or conservationist, Taylor is an interpreter and Seth is in art school working on his soon to be published comic book and learning from the ground up at a comic book publisher. Sandy still a Public Defender, Kirsten’s had another baby, Trey comes back to town gets into some kind of big time trouble, Sandy has to defend him and that pulls Ryan back in. Kaitlyn works for mommy and you know it’s not going to work. Just in case Josh says he’s out of ideas, it’s really not all about the parties and the bands anymore, there really haven’t been any this season and I don’t miss them. It’s all about the characters and we all love them to pieces.
I know that the CW Network is just the place for my favorite show and that your network will be able to do it justice, and unlike Fox, the CW Network won’t ignore their fans. Check out the Poll to Save the OC that Fox posted at: www.fox.com/oc/savetheoc: at last count there were 531,228 votes and we can’t all be wrong. The CW Network knows how it’s done. Bring us home! Warner Brothers needs to pick this show up and run with it, get it enough episodes to go into syndication. We want our show to stay on. I have plans to buy many more DVD’s of the seasons to come. Just think of the sales revenues worldwide from the DVD’s alone once The OC is taken into syndication. We’re so obsessed, we have to run out and buy the DVD’s the minute they hit the stores. Please help us out - we’re just not ready to say goodbye to our favorite show and our favorite boy from Chino, Ryan Atwood.
To quote him, “Having a dream doesn’t make you smart, knowing it won’t come true, that does!” Do us a favor and prove Fox wrong much like Sandy Cohen proved Ryan wrong on the show, by showing him just how easily his dreams could come true. The CW Network just has to pick up the OC now that Fox has dropped the ball and said goodbye to the best show I’ve ever seen, The OC (Obsessed Completely and we’d like to stay that way), yes that’s what we the fans are, we can’t help ourselves. Please, please pick up The OC and breathe life back into my favorite show and its wonderful characters. Please, please make all of our dreams come true and allow us the opportunity to say, “Welcome to the CW…………Switch!”
Sincerely

Please Transfer The OC to CW! We can't go on without that show! We beleive in it!!!

If you get reid of the O.C. I won't be able to look at Ben Mckenzie anymore.......

Please Save THE OC

Move The OC to the CW

WE LOVE THE OC

THE BEST SHOW EVER

PLEASE , PLEASE , PLEASE

TAKE IT

Hello, I have been reading quite a few other Emails from other avid fans from the OC and I Had an epiphany. According to the ratings the OC is only getting around 4 million viewers a show (which by the way I believe will vastly improve if moved to the CW) but most of thosee viewers are diehard obsessed willing to watch a few of your other shows just if the oc is saved by you. So in reality the CW is not just gaining a show who has a Rock solid hard core foundation that will be solid no matter where it goes, but they are also gaining alot more viewers for your other shows, and more importantly they are coming from fox . by taking the OC you are picking up a show that wil generate alot of publicity, which (no offense) but the CW needs. Fox seemed to give up on the OC even before season 4 started but judging by the way fans have reqacted to this season the OC still has alot to give, If only it is given a season or two to prove it , trust me you wont be disapointed . If you put the OC and OTH together obn the same network, maybe even the same day, back-to-back , the ratings are gonna fly up. People are saying the two are somewhat similiar, I myself tried to watch an episode but couldnt get into it, but Im sure if they are back to back a good 2/3 of both audiances will overlp and be watching the other show hlfway through the season. I understand that the situation is complicated with some of the actors and creators' but If you can see what true potential the OC has and hasnt unlocked yet than you can find a way to get it on the CW.
If you cant see its potential than it wont matter what anyone says, your not gonna pick it up, and if you do chances are it wont suceed becuase if the CW doesnt truly believe in The OC thant it might let go some of the Key actors,( just about everyone)or some of the key producers creators ect..(just about everyone). The CW has a big decision to mqke but I have faith you will make the right decision and get the OC,

Good Luck

I am a proud fan of both OTH and the OC. Therefore, I support both CW and FOX, but now that I found out FOX is dropping the OC, I have given you all of my faith because after season 4 of the OC ends, OTH is all I will have. Just think, the OC would be such a great addition to your network and bring such a major fanbase. PLEASE pick up the OC, that's all I ask of you. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Dearest CW,

YOU NEED THE OC!!!

I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the OC=life.

I own all 3 season dvd box sets, the OC board game, the OC fragrance, and the OC 2007 calendar.
The CW and the OC are a perfect match! It would fit right in with your current shows NOT TO MENTION boost your popularity and earn you more money.

Season 4 has really helped the OC and I think the show has more potential now then ever before, including season 1.
I know that Josh Schwartz and all the other OC writers still have great ideas to get out, so please give them that chance. If they can't come up with more story lines, no joke, I will honestly fly out to their studio and take over the writing job. Anything to keep the OC alive.

CW WILL BE MY HERO IF YOU ADOPT THE OC!!!

PLEASE let the OC come to the CW network. I have been a HUGE fan of it since the beginning, and have never missed an episode to date, as have so many other fans. Can you imagine having that big of a fan base come to the CW?

I agree with other people, if the CW agrees to pick up the OC, I promise that I will watch at LEAST 2 other shows to make you guys more money!

I just rewatched the whole series of The OC (again), and I’m begging you … please bring The OC to The CW! Don’t give up on this show! The OC is the most entertaining dramedy that has ever appeared on television, and it is devastating to think that we soon may never again see Ryan, Sandy, and Seth in the context of this incredible show. Please don’t twist the knife that Fox stuck in our backs when it failed in its responsibility to properly promote and schedule The OC. The OC has a strong and loyal fanbase all over the world. Please don’t force the millions of people to whom The OC really means something to have to live a life without it! I've never seen an outcry by fans of this magnitude ... this is not a situation where fans will simply be disappointed if it doesn't continue; this is a situation where the fans will be DEVASTATED!

PLEASE SAVE THE OC!! I will owe a debt of gratitude to The CW if you do this, and will vow to become a loyal viewer of some of your other shows.

I love the oc ! I went on you tube and searched it up and it came up with the first episode of season 4 after that I was hooked i went out and boght all of the seasons I also watch one tree hill and like other people have said putting it on the same night as OTH would get it alot more veiwers

Personally, I think this is the BEST idea ever...in fact, ...CW...man would you be saving my life if you picked up The OC, hell, I'll watch the other shows on The CW network...I'l be curious as to what other shows are on there like I have for FOX. :-) Please, pick up The OC...this show is my life, you really do not understand how many people are depressed over it being cancelled but are still having a little faith and hope in the fact that your genereous and life-saving move would be picking it up. PICK UP THE OC! SAVE THE OC!!!!

I WORSHIP THE OC!
-----------------------

IF THE OC DIES I WILL DIE!!
**************************************

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS TO ME!!

EVERY WEEK ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS THURSDAY NIGHTS AND THE OC! OH GOD! MY LIFE WOULD BE OVER!

PLEASE I AM BEGGGING YOU!!!!!!!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT KILL
OC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seventh Heaven came back why can't the same happen to the oc.

Haven't you ever had a show that you loved so much and never wnated it to end. That is how the oc fans feel. This show will be a perfect fit for the cw11 becasue the shows on the cw11 last long. I know it will be the same for the oc. The cw11 has the best shows and the oc will bring more viewers. If it wasn't a good show then so many people wouldn't be begging the show to put the oc on your show. So please do us a favor and let the oc air on the cw11. Everyone loves it and the cast, who happens to be very popular this year. Just think about it please you'll make a lot of fans happy.

please pick up the o.c. !!

PLEASE SAVE THE OC. ITS THE BEST SHOW

PLEASE KEEP THE OC

Please put The OC on the CW!! Please, i beg of you!

do NOT pick up the OC, CW!! ONE TREE HILL IS BETTER!

Dear Dawn Ostroff,

I, for one, believe that FOX has made a huge mistake in cancelling this series. I think they lost hope on the show when they moved it to its current (and final) time slot on Thursday nights. There are several advantages to Warner Bros moving the OC from Fox to the CW.
1. Syndication - For a series to be sucsessful in syndication, an episode count of at least 100 is normally recquired for the total series fun. This keeps the show fresh if it's aired daily, Monday through Friday, without reairing nearly the entire series in a months time. The OC, I believe, will be about 8 episodes under that 100 episode limit when it airs its "finale" episode on February 22nd. If the series was moved over to the CW for at least another 16 episodes, syndication would be more profitable for Warner Bros and it's parent company Time Warner.
2. DVD Sales
While I haven't looked at the demographics and numbers on the DVD sales for seasons 1-3, one can only assume that a 5th or 6th season on The CW would lead to profits via DVD sales and stategic advertising.
3. Increasing Popularity
On every Friday after an episode premiere this season, the episode has been posted by "somebody" on the uber-popular Youtube website.... and each time an episode is posted, it becomes one of the top ten most viewed videos for that day for that day and the following day. Fox has since ended it's broadcast of OC episodes via it's own Myspace website, while the latest OC episodes are uploaded on to YouTube weekly.
4. The One Tree Hill/The OC night.
Both of these shows have similar fan appeal, and perhaps airing them on the same network, on the same night, in the right time slot could garner substantial ratings for the CW in it's sophomore season.

These are just a few of the top (e.g. "money making") upsides to Warner Bros moving the show to it's CW Network.

Steve

I would definetly love the show on the CW.

I come from germany.
I would do everything that o.c. go on.
The o.c. is me on my heart grown.
Please CW buy the o.c..
Many million people will become very happy than.

Excuse me my bad english, because I`m come from germany.

i'm an avid viewer of the oc, seriously never miss an episode it is my favourite tv show ever.

the main thing i wanted to point out is that the oc has a large international fan base, for example season 4 has just started in the uk and in magazines it is billed as the show to watch, aka pick of the day, every time it is on. i'm not just talking about the five channels of terrestrial television - i'm talking about the hundreds of channels on cable also. i think that speaks for itself, to the uk the oc is the best thing on tv... fans and critics alike love it.

the cw is the best place for the oc to be, it fits in with your target audience and will also bring new viewers to the network. whilst it has been described as a teen drama there is a wide range of viewers who watch and love the show, from pre-teens to beyond middle age people. the number of people who began watching other shows on fox because of the oc is high and i believe a move to the cw will be the best thing for the oc and your network. i think it will fit in effortlessly with your already established cw programming and will boost ratings, making the cw a network to be reckoned with.

what i love most about the show is even though it is set in a place that is alien to most of us, it is completely believable and very easy to relate to thanks in no small part to the amazing writing talent of stephanie savage and acting abilities of the likes of the outstanding peter gallagher, kelly rowan, melinda clarke and benjamin mckenzie.

i have honestly never seen a performance like the ones by ben and melinda that can actually move me to tears, that they convey exactly how the character is feeling and make you feel it too. to me, they personify the term raw talent.

people really care about this show and i think it will really blossom on a network that will give it the respect that it deserves. i'm sure the cw will not have it on one week then off the next, fox lost alot of fans, not due to the death of marissa but more so because people never really knew when it was on because they very rarely advertised. that combined with some storylines that lost focus of what the show is about and stands for in the chase of ratings.

so many people tune in to find out what happened to that boy from chino, at the cw the oc will be able to get back to its roots - as it has already started to this season. maybe this is why season 4 is described as best season since season 1 if not best overall.

to me, it just seems blatantly obvious that a wb show should be at the home of the wb. as i said earlier, that is the place where it will finally get the respect it deserves.

Hey people check this out!
http://www.tvseriesfinale.com/2007/01/tv_series_finale_news_fox_wants_to_finish_the_oc.html

And for the love of God, Patrick where are you? Any news this is no time to abandon us! LOL!

OMG PLZ save the OC. Do it 4 us all!!!

The OCW! Catchy isnt it. you guys have to make this happen, please keep on the OC. dont worry about the poor ratings on Fox, thats only because of the time that the show is on. The OC is exactly the kind of show that I could imagine on the schedules of CW. imagine a double billing of the OC and One Tree Hill, the ratings would be astronomical. If you were to get the OC, it would be vital to keep the fab 4 (Ryan,Adam,Autumn and Rachel) I know this sounds obvious but they are key to the lure of the OC. I hope that you are seriously considering keeping the Fantastic OC running while its still hot.

If the station saves the o.c and the 5th series realy hits it off then CW will surely become the best station in the country, a gamble well worth taking if you ask me. I am from england and me and another 5 million people love the show and would do anything to see it back.
SAVE THE O.C
SAVE THE O.C
SAVE THE O.C

I think that The CW should defnitly pick up the o.c.!! This season has defnitly been nice compared to the overly dramatic 3rd season. Don't get me wrong Marissa was my favorite character but i just miss being able to laugh with the show and not always having it be so tense. So CW the ratings show that people are already starting to take notice at this great season and i think that this show would only just benfit your network. So, all were asking you is that you concider taking this show under your wing. It has a great cast with lots of potential soo come on SIGN THE OC ALREADY!!!

Seriously, we are desperate here!! we love that show!! please!! the oc would be great for your network!

Please save the O.C! Season 4 has been amazing and it's starting to look like the best season yet, therefore if you pick up the show you will receive an excellent and strong show, as well as it's extreemly loyal fan base. The O.C has become addictive again and we don't want to lose it. So please bring it to the CW!

Okay, you really have to help me out here. The CW Network just has to pick up the OC now that Fox has dropped the ball and said goodbye to the best show I’ve ever seen. Now I feel compelled to say goodbye to Fox. The OC (Obsessed Completely), yes that’s what we the fans are, we can’t help ourselves. Since Fox has chosen to say goodbye to me and my show, I have chosen to say goodbye to Fox completely. Since watching the OC, I started watching American Idol because it was on before the OC and since Fox was the home of my favorite I started checking out there other shows. To the end I began watching House, Bones, American Idol (I never saw the first season) and Justice.
As God as my witness, I will NEVER watch another minute of television brought to the masses by the Fox Network, NEVER and trust me I’d love to see Idol this year. I will not, never again! So it looks like I’m in need of a few good shows, got any on the air that me and a few of my closest (somewhere around 4 to 4.5 million) friends might want to see, because that’s the thing, I support people that support me. That’s just how it works for me. Hook us up, put The OC in a good timeslot, pick up our favorite show and you’ll have us hook, line and sinker and to tell you the truth I do really like Supernatural I just couldn’t watch it because it was on at the same time as The OC.
I know that the CW Network is just the place for my favorite show and that your network will be to do it justice, unlike Fox, the CW Network won’t ignore their fans. Check out the Poll to Save the OC that Fox posted, at last count 444,444 votes, we can’t all be wrong. The CW Network knows how it’s done. Bring us home! Warner Brothers needs to pick this show up and run with it, get it enough episodes to go into syndication. We want our show to stay on. I have plans to buy many more DVD’s of the seasons to come. Just think of the sales revenue from the DVD’s alone, we’re so obsessed we have to run out and buy the DVD’s the minute they hit the stores. Please help us out we’re just not ready to say goodbye to our favorite show and our favorite boy from Chino, Ryan Atwood.
To quote him, “Having dream doesn’t make your smart, knowing it won’t come true, that does!”, do us a favor and prove Fox wrong much like Sandy Cohen proved Ryan wrong on the show, by showing him just how easily his dreams could come true. Please, please make all of our dreams come true and allow us the opportunity to say, “Welcome to the CW…………Switch!

I'm from Portugal and I'm addicted to The OC!It's my Pacion!!!
Save the OC, please!

I want to ask you how can I see your channel in Portugal?
Thank you!

I'm a brazilian fan and I looove this show!
Pleeeeeeeease pick up The O.C. to your network!
It needs to be save!

It has been a long time since any show like o.c(like Melrose Place , Beverly Hills 90210 m Friends)that O.C deserves to be saved not only becose of us "Bigger Than Life Fans"but becose if you ask from me O.C and the other series like it are piece of our cultural history a piece of legacy , i have watched every episode since the o.c started and i think there never will be anything like it never again if it won't be saved the O.C is just like our real life(i mean us young girls & boys) O.C is like a picture of real life for many of us who are going trough things that there has been in the o.c. Please Save The O.C !

I agree with Julie's post completely. I'm old enough to have teenagers myself and The OC has been my favorite TV show since it's premier. I'm totally addicted too and like her, have never felt this way about a television show before. I live for each episode, and will be seriously depressed if The CW doesn't pick it up.

I've already committed to watch and will even watch other CW shows out of gratitude if The CW picks up The OC and gives it a reasonable timeslot.

I too agree that if Adam and Rachel aren't on board, The OC can succeed without them. I've always considered Ryan the main character and it is Ryan's journey and Ben McKenzie's portrayal of him that have kept me glued to the set every week since day 1 and would keep me there as long as he is around. I just can't get enough of this character, this actor, and this show. As long you put the show in a decent timeslot, the fans WILL RETURN! Even if it's just for one more year, we need Warner Brothers to take this show to 100 episodes, the benchmark for profitable syndication. I want new fans to have the chance to learn the secret that the rest of us already know -- The OC is the best show in the history of television!

OMG! I CANT BELIVE THIS! plzz guyz...dont shut it down...i will like get depressed and everything!i dont care if you dont play it on channel 10 in aus plzz play it on any channel i dont care! i just wanna relax and watch my fave show!!! plzz SAVE IT!!

Please save the OC you are our last hope!

SAVE THE OC

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE throw the OC a lifeline.
This is my favourite television show ever. I am a mother of teenage sons and thanks to them and their girlfriends introducing me to the show in season 1 - I am now completely and utterly addicted. I have never felt this way about a television show before. I count down the days until the next episode. The thought of there not being anymore to watch is like a fate worse than death.
Please throw us a lifeline. I'm sure that all the current fans will be with you in a flash and even more will come on board if you choose to show it at a different time (not Thursday at 9).
You'll even probably find OC viewers chosing to watch more CW shows just because they are so thankful - we'll owe you a debt of gratitude - Plus most have already sworn never to watch Fox again.

If Adam and Rachel aren't on board then still go without them. Ryan is the crux of the show. His path through life is what has kept me hooked for the last four years and I still haven't had nearly enough of him. I want to see what the future holds for him. As long as Ben is happy to continue then you'll have yourself a winner.
Please put us out of our misery and confirm that you are serious about all this. You will definitely be on a winner.

PLEASE SAVE the OC
that is the one show that is the best one on TV
Cannot beleive that FOX canceled it ....... BIG MISTAKE.......... CW go for the golden oppurtunity

Save the OC!!!!

The OC is the best TV Show i've ever seen...Please give OC a Chance to go on and to bring joy and happyness in our lifes....PLEASE!

I definitely hope that the CW will pick up the OC. I mean, their names just complement each other...ish. And I need OC!

please please pick it up!!! IT would be amazing for your ratings!! and you would prove to actually care about your viewers... most people want the oc in the CW!! please!!! the show´s soooo good this season!.. please!! we are begging you!

the cw must, absolutely must adopt the OC. I love it, i own all 3 seasons on dvd. it is my life and my therapy. It is the one and only thing that i have watched for four years. If devoted fans, previously devoted fans, and new fans join forces with the cw the show can be saved. which we all would love to see. Also if it was on a good time slot and on this network it could most likely be the powerhouse and bread maker of the cw. Long live the OC.

Please save The O.C. My husband and I love the show! Last Thursday was one of our favorites! We've been faithful fans from the beginning. We love Seth and Summer - they're hilarious! We also love Sandy and Kirsten. Please save The O.C. We're begging!!!!!!!!!!

save the o.c.!
save the o.c.!
save the o.c.!
please, please, please!!!

I really hope that there is still a chance of the cw network picking up the oc, I have sent an email to show my support. With the cancellation from the fox network I think that a lot of the fans will push for a switching of networks. I'm hoping that with a large fan base support they will reconsider and try it on the CW.

Hi,I'm a big fan from the o.c. and if somebody would save this serie it would be awesome, thank you for the second chance;)

SAVE THE OC

Well at first i hated The OC but my girlfriend liked it so i thougth id give it a shot...this was in season 3. so i watched an episode and i was sooo into it i couldnt stop..Next day i went to the store and bought the first 2 seasons and watched them all in 1 week i think. and well the oc is amazing and i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope CW Network saves is... PLEASE SAVE IT CW. ITS THE BEST SERIES EVER SHOWN ON TV.

yep, they should bring the oc to the CW which is a channel that actually cares about the show and the viewers! :)

I've always been a dedicated Adult OC fan and never missed an episode. Even so, as I bought each season of The OC on DVD this summer, I'd plug it in and watch it almost straight thru. We're talking 8, 10, 12 hours straight, only to do the same thing the next day. I couldn't help myself. And I can't tell you how many times I've seen other people say they did the same thing. Plus, I've watched the whole series more than once. How can a show that has such a strong appeal that, even now, it possesses people to rewatch it, or to watch it for hours on end, be dismissed and kicked to the curb?

And check out the awesome reviews on Amazon.com of The OC (especially season 1). Last I saw, there were more than 200 reviews about season 1 alone, and probably 99% of those were positive, and were written by people who themselves got hooked on The OC.

So many people on the internet talk about how The OC changed their lives or how their lives won't be the same without it. This show is seriously important to so many of us. Please save it!

As another poster put it: The OC could really bring a lot of new viewers to the network. Would it be costly? Yes. But would it be worth it in the long run? Absolutely.

Please, please tell me that you are going to put me out of my misery and consider picking up The OC and running it on the CW Network. I can not even begin to tell you how devastated I am by the Fox Network’s complete and utter disregard for the fans of The OC. They posted their own Save the OC Poll which at last count was upwards of 330,000 votes, they requested that all the fans of the show, show their support and email Fox all of the reasons that we love the OC. What did Fox do with this information? absolutely nothing, because as you are well aware I’m sure, 4.5 Million people don’t amount to much, well at least in Fox’s opinion we don’t. They didn’t even have the common decency to post the cancellation of the show on the Fox OC Board; they let all of the fans find out for themselves. I’m sorry that is just a blatant show of the worst disrespect I’ve ever seen. What was all of the hoop-la about? Can you tell me?

I’ve got news for the Fox Network; 4.5 million people are not nothing. I never intend to watch another program on the Network as long as I’m alive.

From the start, I was completely and utterly captivated by the OC. My love affair with the OC began in the Summer of 2003 when Fox was promoting the heck out of the show and I thought, hmmmmmm, this looks promising, I’m going to have to tune in to find out what this is all about, I needed to find out what happened to that kid from Chino and his attorney.

Why do I love The OC? Where do I start, the actors, the writing, the storylines, the music, the settings and the attention to detail, the shout outs that call to mind a completely unrelated subject (they make me bark at the TV in hilarity, i.e., last episode, the story on Meerkats that the Cohen family was watching was a shout out to fans in the know who know that Ben in Junebug tried taped a Meerkat documentary for his wife, and that Meerkat Manor is a popular show), remain in my opinion unduplicated by any other program out there, the likes of which we will never see again, and the very thought of it makes me heartsick. I find very difficult to even write this letter, it is bringing tears to my eyes and lump in my throat.

A world without the OC? Oh please no. I’m not some psychotic fanatic, life is hard, I have a job that is hell on wheels, and I’m the Vice President of Administration of a Company. I’m completely stressed all the time, I have a life, I travel, socialize, I’m married and a generally a happy stressed out person. But at least when I’m having a bad week I know that for one night during the week I’ll be transported from my troubles, problems and woes and completely entertained from start to finish, and that means a lot to me as I’m sure it does others.

Ryan (Ben McKenzie): the range of emotions this guy is able to convey without uttering a sound, he’s so amazing at the non-verbal stuff, and that’s not an easy Josh set for him, and he nails it every time.

I quickly went on line to EBay and got a hot copy (before they were pulled), paid for it and watched it and watched it and watched it. I then gave the DVD to all of my friends and family to watch. I must’ve gotten at least 20 additional people to watch the show this way, all of whom were now as addicted as me by the time Season 2 rolled around. (They just kept passing it around and I still don’t know where that ended up.) This really doesn’t matter, because a hot copy isn’t good enough -- I have to have the official WB copy. After having relayed all of this, can you see how we are how much we love this show?

Now to point out where Fox went wrong.

Pick up the show, put it on after One Tree Hill or before, as they are the perfect shows to follow each other. I never watched One Tree Hill or Smallville, but the CW Network knows how to rope in new fans, you guys ran re-runs of those shows on Sunday nights to draw in other viewers and that’s how I got sucked in. There are 57 channels on, on Sunday nights but nothing on. Please, please pick up my show, it’s not time for its demise yet. The OC is such an excellent show, and there’s not a lot of that around.

Please, please allow me the opportunity to say “Welcome to the CW…….Switch”!

Cathy Tallarico

me and my boyfriend watched the oc for 2 days straight. just thought you should know.

I'm a mom who started watching with my kid! I love the OC and wondered what it would be like after losing one of its star characters. It has actually been revived this season! I am looking forward to watching it! I was upset to find out that it has been canceled when this season seems so strong and has us wanting more! I hope that the CW gives it a chance.

The O.C is my life!

anything that comes out that is oc i get. everytime somethign happenes that is sad i cry for hours. When i heared that the oc is ending i cryed for two hours straight. Then i went to see how many episodes were left and i looked up news and this information was on it. I love all the CW shows, putting on the show like the OC would attrack veiws to all the shows and everyone loves the oc! ever since marrissa died all my friends say that they dont even want to know what happens on the oc.. its not the same without her.. well I think its better.. less drama, better storylines, and ryan was just brought down by all the drama she attracked. I love the idea of giving it a new home like The CW and continuing the show. When i heared that the show was beeing cancelled i really thought about what i was going to do with myself.. the oc is my life and i can truely say that with a straight face because it is!

i hope the cw can save the oc .. its a great show and no one wants to see it die

that would be amazing.
hopefully it will be on a different day. i think the ratings dropped a lot because of greys anatomy.
save the oc.

The O.C. would be a great edition to the C.W. network. Season 3 of the show wasn't exactly the show's highest point, but the one thing I can't comprehend is the loss of viewers afer Marissa's death. It, to me, was the show's saving grace, breathing new life into washed-up characters and storylines. One of the turn-offs for me as a viewer was watching all the characters scramble to save Marissa from herself every. single. episode. Now without that, season four of the OC has been nothing less than stellar and in my opinion, quite possibly better than (or at least on par with) season one. The characters are engaging, the actors are fantastic and the storylines, though not 100% plausible (is any show like that?), are as compelling as ever. It would be a great move for the C.W. to pick up this show as a solid fanbase would follow, and it would make a fantastic pairing with One Tree Hill.

Hi!

We all love The O.c.
Please take it to the CW! <3

Greetings from Finland :)

THE OC IS MY LIFE. PLEASE DONT CANCELL IT JUST BECAUSE MISHA BARTON HAD TO BE KILLED OFF.. THE SHOW IS AMAZING AND SO MANY PEOPLE WATCH IT. WITHOUT THAT SHOW MY LIFE ISNT COMPLEETE.. SERIOUSLY

The thing about "The O.C." is is that it became a cultural phenomenon overnight. So, did it have a slump? Of course. Did Fox punish Schwartz et al. for having a poor third season by putting it in the Thurs. at 9 time slot? Absolutely. So, yes, the ratings aren't what they used to be, and they probably never will be. But, critically the show has taken a great turn. In a fourth season that could have been terrible and cliche with the death of Marissa Cooper, it was never either of those. It continues to be smart and entertaining.
Plus, if put in a different time slot....with a great lead in or follow-up...The OC could really bring a lot of new viewers to the network. Would it be costly? Of course. Would it be worth it in the long run? Absolutely.
Please, CW, save our show.

PLEASEEE!!
save the oc \o/

Keep the O.C. off of the air!!! Let it die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

come on man the oc is the best thing ever save it CW

OMg The CW has to pick up this show!!!! Please!

It would be so great if the C.W. picked up the O.C. and saved my family and myself from grieving the loss of a show that has gotten all of us addicted to California and to all of the O.C. characters. They all need to be inticed to stay with the show and bring back Coop.....or someone equally as perfect for Ryan as she was. Keep our O.C.!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion "The O.C. moving to THE CW" is the best thing ever heard. No offence, but I think that a network like FOX should have cared about The O.C. way more this season. The death of a main character does not certainly mean the death of the show. When the fourth season of The O.C. aired last year fans tought it's going to be a total desperate. The fact that it has gained scores like 4.6 milion viewers this season is like really admirable. The show has never been so good since the hit Season 1, wich's average was like 10.3 milion viewers per episode. May be there is something true in that "It was just too mutch for a first season" opinion, but when you think about it you realise that it's been two and a half successful seasons more, that makes like 60 good episodes wich rised the netwoorks' ratings too mutch to cancel the show! It's not like the show already sucks so it must end. Nope, because if it has had it's week moments they deffenetly were not this season. It is realy a madness to quit a show wich gains like a quarter of the tv audience every Thursday evening. And yeah, what about FOX puting a reborn show, trying to survive after a briutal season 3 finale, in the Thursday 9/8c slot against now days certain hits like CSI and Gray's Anatomy ? If the networks really think that there is one single of all the pilots out, that could make a show with a spirit equal the OC one, fine!! But let me tell you something guys : There Is Not!
I'm pesonaly not a very big tv man, you know, a couch potato, but I think that a network like the CW would be a real good opportunity for The O.C. and it would be a real good opportunity for The CW. After all, you guys put One Tree Hill (Which by the way totaly rocks!) on screen. So let's move The O.C. to The CW, please!

please save the oc i love this show

Please pick up the O.C. it dosent deserve to get the shaft from fox after a great but short fourth season, my sister and i have watched from day one and loved every episode and i cant even begin to ponder what life without the o.c. would be like, so please please pick it up, The CW would get more viewers added to its roster and O.C. everywhere would rejoice knowing that their favorite show, a show that has helped me through some very traumatic events would be on a network where it would actually be cared about, so please even if just for one more season, pick it up, please please, I also think that once it became a hit on the CW the execs at fox would projectile vomit all over each other knowing that what they had was something special, something that was truly loved by millions of fans so great idea, dont pass it up

PLEASE TAKE IT TO THE CW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

WE CANT LIVE WITHOUT THE OC>>>ITS AN AMAZING IDEA FUCK FOX AND EVERYTHING ELSE THEYRE STUPID I HATE THEM!!!! OC ON CW I mena it makes sense!!!!!!!

THE OC
THE CW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its a good idea :] its the best show and i got hooked on it right awayy! please save it or im gunna like die without it.. theres too many fans to cancel it now. the poll was like 90 % who liked it & thats proves that theres a lot of fans who care out there! please save it cw, this show is basically my life <3

The OC is my life...and i have been through a lot of shit this year...and i have done a lot...and with out the OC, i dont think i would be here today...so, please....pick it up!

<<<3

otherwise, i have no reason to live.

Wow, I just watched "The My Two Dads" New episode of The O.C. tonight!!!
It was soooo good. You people are right; this show really does not deserve to be cancelled. It is not clear to me why everyone has turned their back on this show. Season 4 has been so good that it makes no sense to say let's end now. Shows that get cancelled do because they suck. This is not the case with The O.C. Look; I know the bar was set high after Season 1. It was probably the best Season 1 any show had in history. Usually shows suck and get better with age. The O.C. came out of the box on a level we had never seen before. Yet now we look at the current season being shown and you really have to sit back and say, "This is good stuff" There is just no doubt about it and it truly is not worthy to be kicked to the curb! C'mon now, this is the fist time in a year people are really excited to see what the next episode is going to be and the show has been picking up speed and just getting better this season. I'm really trying to take this all in so I can remember what it was like to have brand new episodes being aired because I can not believe they are going to take it off the air. These episodes are great every week and the Network says "Let's call it quits?" People e-mail The CW; they are the only ones who have the ability to support your fan efforts. In the end if Josh says it is over, then such is life, but I think they are interested in keeping this show going, but there is zero support from Fox. I am not going to sit here and kill Fox, look they are a business, but they haven’t conducted good business when it comes to The O.C. and for that they are to blame. You're only as good as the effort you put into it, and agreeing to 16 episodes this year as if your doing people a favor is not enough to stand behind a show and support your Marquis. This O.C. Brand has done too much to go out this way from all of its' marketing and sales potential and I feel for each and every one of you in disbelief. Keep up the fight and soak up the last 7 shows. God willing The CW can cut a deal

I have always felt that The OC is the best show on television, and that has never changed thru seasons 2 and 3 and even now into the 4th. Josh got us hooked on this drama with humor and it is this particular group of original actors who grabbed our hearts and won't let go. I'm well over 40 and admit that I fell hard for The OC. There is something inexplicably magical about the OC, and a lot of the fans feel it. I've never had a show touch me this much, making me laugh one minute then cry the next, and it's breaking my heart to hear that it won't be renewed. PLEASE convince Josh Schwartz to bring The OC to The CW! Ryan must live on!

Pleaaase pick up the OC. I don't understand why fox would not be keeping the show! There is no other show or plot that would more interesting than that of the OC, so networks would be completely out of their mind if they did not pick up the show. Imagine One Tree Hill and the OC on the same team! It would be incredible for the CW!!!

I have began to love the OC i know how stupid does that sound!!!!LOL!!! You cant cancle the OC when like everyone heard that the oc was going to be cancled we pretty much all started crying.Sooo please please please please make are sad tears turn into happy ones by picking up the OC!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Whos with me?????
kylie

The OC is the most amazing show. Lets save it!

PLEASE, CW. PICK IT UP!!

Perfect! My wife and (2) kids love the save!

I think it would be awesome...the OC is probably one of the best shows on TV...many sources (such as Wikipedia) have called the show the "Beverly Hills 90210" of our time!

Now that Fox has officially ended The O.C., one of the best ways to help the show get picked up by The CW is by keeping the ratings on the move up. If the ratings continue to climb then The CW cannot ignore that fact.

THE GAYS LOVE THE OC ... and we SHOP!

Dam that suck that FOX did that to The O.C today and that The O.C sould be on CW next year and that will cool........

the OC can only bring many new viewers to the CW network and help keep current CW viewers watching the CW even more than they do now. This is a WIN-WIN for CW. PLEASE CW - Help save the OC!!!

YES! Because FOX is a stupid network that does not know how to handle such a profitable show. PLEASE pick up the show CW you will have many faithful fans watching it every week.

I really think that the CW could benefit from a show like The O.C. There are already a few good young dramas (Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill, etc) on the network, and I know very few people who would not tune into The O.C. if it was following a show like One Tree Hill. The O.C. still has fire, and a new network might be exactly what it needs to reintroduce its old viewers and introduce new viewers to the addictive and fantastic show fondly known as The O.C...

I truly believe that by switching to a new network, it could finally be a new day on The O.C.

Save the OC... Remember Buffy was picked up by UPN after being canceled by the WB

I have been watching the OC since season 1 and it has actually changed my life. This show has given me something to hold onto other then my own life. I have somehow vicariously lived through these characters on the show. I am a mature 22 year old and I still find it hard not to get sucked into the plot, cry when things go awry, and of course laugh at signature jokes delivered by Sandy and Seth. I have actually started calling my dad Sandy for quite some time now. It was an ongoing joke but apparently it has stuck for good! I have seen every episode and I am going to of course buy the dvd's when I get a chance to bankroll the money. From its brilliant selections of music to its ability to make me cry at things that might not even be that sad the OC has been there for me. When things go weird in my own life I am notorious for stating "Oh my god guys my life is turning into the OC". I feel so apart of this show that I am actually hurting at the thought that the show is going away for good. I am glad to hear that at least I can see tonight's epsiode and some kind of finale on the 22nd of February. I honestly rely on this tv show to let my emotions out and it honestly just feels good sometimes to cry for the show. This season was epic for me, honestly... I can't believe how well done they did that opening episode, I was honestly hysterical when they open with "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo which is a beautiful song and to see Ryan hurting and self-destructing over the death of Marissa was heartbreaking. When Sandy was a minute off from seeing Ryan who had fled out the back door before Sandy could see him was just heartbreaking for me. I know how much these characters care about each other and its not that 7th Heaven fake bull shit!! This is the real deal and let me tell you as soon as Ryan took out his "memory box" of Marissa I just began to cry and feel for him. His character is so powerful and you can really feel how much he has changed and how much he deserves the Cohen's as his family. And Seth is a great character who is a little neurotic but when he and Ryan come together something great happens and its as if they create this superhumanbeing that is capable of overcoming any kind of obstacle that is thrown at them. The pilot episode was like a movie and I was so taken in by that opening of Sandy seeing Ryan in Juvinile Hall and telling him how much potential he has. Then Ryan's mother clearly having had a drink or in need of a drink hops the curb and begins acting insane makes for some great character development. I think that Sandy Cohen has an important role on television to show all of these rich powerful people how they are supposed to use their power. I think that getting rid of the OC is a big mistake and I think there is many different ways to transform this show into something that could bring it to a place where we would never have to wonder if it was going to be canceled or not.

"On the bright side, I’m told by sources at the CW network that head honcho Dawn Ostroff is “extremely interested” in picking up The O.C. for the following season. Of course, the real matter is whether the fledgling network can afford the series. (Personally, I hope so.) And of course, all the actors involved would need to stay on board, including the allegedly recently split Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson, and Josh Schwartz, who just landed a deal for a new thriller drama pilot on NBC."

Okay,it´s gonna be like,THE GREATEST NEWS EVER
I mean I think the stories would get even better! After top model or one tree hill, it´ll be awesome!

PERFECT!!!
I always thought that THE O.C. belongs to CW,paired up with TREE HILL,just three words:

BEST.NIGHT.EVER

Please dont let the OC end. I am 37 years old, I travel and work 80 hours a week. My favorite time of the week is Friday night when my husband and I watch the OC (we TIVO during the week).

i think this is a great idea i have been watching all seasons, and i have ALL the seasons on DVD
O.C is my life and i would LOVEEEEEEEEE for it to come to the CW

Hi Cathy,
It is very clear from the Internet postings that fans are devastated to say the least. Unfortunately, so far hands seemed to be tied at The C.W. if The O.C. Production team is not willing to continue with the show. I am still hearing that Josh Schwartz (O.C. creator) left the door open should representatives from The C.W. wish to contact him, but both sides seem to be reluctant at present. Schwartz may feel he did his best and now is the time to let it go. The C.W. is not going to beg to keep the show alive and doesn’t want to pay the money to put it on the air if it is a remnant of its former self.
All I can say is that it sounds like the end. Is there any hope? Yes there is, but it is certainly a steep uphill battle that may not be worth the fight if O.C. personnel are at peace with this conclusion. Fans who are not willing to give up just yet should know that Warner Brothers produces The O.C. and also owns The CW network. Both parties know where to find each other if they want to sit down and consider making a deal. Fans can contact The CW affairs office by email at feedback@cwtv.com and respectfully tell the network why you would like them to continue The O.C. along with your commitment to watch. In the end it would take a lot of fan support, so much that if it was going to happen, it should have happened long ago in the form of ratings and then we would not even have to be discussing this. Never say never, but the fan support would have to be huge.

i DONT think it should appear on THE CW because the ratings are dropping and THE CW dont need a show that wont be a "hit" or something that will make people (esp those who DONT tune in to the cw) tune into the CW. if it was prison break/lost then sure yeah but not THE OC, i dont think it has the potential.

Hi all,

i'm also from Germany and i am just over 40 years. I've got all three Seasons on DVD and watch them every day. Also i know the actual Storyline. I watch the forth season online and I like this best. At work every one love O.C. and watch them also every time! So please CW, save the O.C., because it's the best series I had ever seen on TV and DVD!

Thanks so much for this interesting show!
Andrea and the other O.C. Fans from Germany

Let it go. The show should've ended when Marissa Cooper was killed.

PLEASE SAVE THE OC, ITS THE BEST SHOW ON TV, LIFE ISNT THE SAME WITHOUT MY WEEKLY DOSE OF OC, GOD ONLY KNOWS WHY FOX DECIDED TO STOP IT, PLEASE TAKE IT U WONT REGRET IT!

The oc is the best programme I have ever been lucky enough to witness! Im from Northern Ireland and I only started to watch the oc through dvd boxsets I bought! Ever since I have been hooked and I have been patiently waiting for the oc to begin season 4 over here!

I mean many people say that Season 2 and 3 were really bad but I don't understand this because I think they were brilliant! What wasn't to like about them?

Another point I would like to make is about Josh Schwarz in talks of making a new programme called the girlfriends or something! No offence to the man but I know it will be a flop because nothing he can do will ever better the oc!

And talking of this, FOX! Whoever is the boss of that company seriously has alot to answer for! I mean it shows their lack of faith in the oc and just how generally stupid they are! cancelling the oc will be the killer of that company!

And that's were you, CW, come in! You can help save the oc from being a mere memory. If you could air the programme it would bring much more viewings and therefore revenue to your company, and it would also gain much respect from many american youths, not to mention the fox company bosses seething with jealousy because of the programme they lost.

To conclude everything here I have said leads to one clear action...The oc being aired in the channel CW in america and the next seasons of the oc being the best ever!

SAVE THE OC...boycott fox!

Believe it or not, there are many OC fans out there, including me. OC fans will become CW fans. Switch it over to your network. You will not be dissapointed. The OC vs. One Tree Hill would be amazing. You would have the 2 best shows on TV on your network. Maybem you can even intertwine the shows like 90210 did with Melrose Place. That would be so awesome. Please save the OC.

Please pick up 'The OC'. It's the greatest show I've ever seen.

I think this is an amazing idea.
But the only way this would work is if you got fesh writers - people with heart - who love the show & who can relate to the fans.
In my opinion the reason fox failed the oc is because josh & the writers didnt listen to the fans & i believe they lost the fire in their hearts for the show. Josh has other new projects now & many fans commented that they believed he couldnt be bothered with it anymore!

In my opinion Marissa shouldnt have been killed off, the R/M lovestory was a huge force in the show but they had already killed her character with the stupid draining storylines they gave her!

If there was anyway of me undoing their mistakes & doing it my way i would bring mischa back & use her fabulous acting skills to their full potential.

That goes for the rest or the cast too - they are all great actors but i dont think they are used to their greatest potential through silly scripts.

Int eh first season (the best season) josh & the writers gave it their all and that is why it was the best season - the storylines were more serious & fans related to them really well - ryan was the heartthrob & the R/M lovestory had you making sure you watched it every week!

Anyhow i think its great that CW are even considering picking up the oc as it keeps the fans hope alive

Thats for reading my views

Please save the OC!

The O.C rocks!!
CW please save it!!

Just as I was getting into The OC (after seeing the last part of S3), Fox goes and cancels it. That really isn't right because it was starting to get really good... However, it would be really, really, really fabulous if The CW were to pick up The OC --- even if it were just for one or two more seasons. Besides Veronica Mars, The OC has been the only drama on network TV I've been interested in all season.

Hopefully, if the CW plays its cards right, I'll be able to look forward to another season of The OC...

Sure The OC has been in a slump the last 2 seasons but it is in season 1 form again. Actually it's better now that Marissa's gone. The OC has been my favorite show since day 1 and I'd follow it anywhere, especially The CW. Please those powers that be bring it here.

Patrick, Patrick, Speak to us, I'm sick over the cancellation, even though I knew they'd do it. God I hate Fox. What the hell was the vote to SAVE THE OC about, they just made fools of everyone in my opinion. They dragged it out, and just totally dissed everyone. I'm done with Fox completely, never watch another thing on that Network.

Now that the official press release from fox is out and the O.C is infat cancelled, please oh please CW pick it up. I will even chip in on production costs, as long as I get a meet and greet.:)

As suspected, it has just been reported that Fox WILL NOT be picking up The O.C. for another season. While O.C. Producers are keeping their options close to the vest, so far it appears the cast and crew are reluctant to exercise negotiations for a possible move of the show to The C.W.; but rather accept their fate as the show has run its’ course and let’s end on a high note with fan support strong this fourth season. Is this really the end? Is it time to move on? Is there still a little life left in the tank?

Only if you get rid of Taylor. I hate Taylor. She is so boring get rid of her.

Please bring The OC to The CW! The OC is fantastic --and season 4 is almost as good as season 1 was! I, a loyal OC fan, will become a loyal CW fan if you bring The OC to your network!

Totally yes!!!
Come on bring it to The CW. The O.C. must go on!! The CW would be the right place for the show.

the oc would be great for the cw. It had such a loyal fanbase but lost a lot of it in season 3. Fox could have regained it in the fantastic season 4 but instead chose to put it in the most competitive hour of television (not to mention against grey's, which has most of the same fans). A well-promoted move to the cw would definately gain back a lot of the old oc fans, especially since im sure many of them will have heard about how much better season 4 is but have gotten too into grey's to go back to the oc. Even with the ratings the oc gets now it would be good for the cw, but im sure it could do much better in a different timeslot and with a little advertising.

I actually never watched th OC
but I am a big fan of the CW and I think that this will be a big rating riser for the CW

I would love for the CW to pick up the OC. It is having an amazing season and it would be a good fit on this station.

YES...SAVE THE OC!
BEST IDEA EVER!

God no!

The OC Sucks

Bringing the OC to the CW would be a win for everyone. It would be a great lead in for a show like One Tree Hill. This season of the oc has been absolutely amazing and has given me hope for a 5th season, but unfortunately fox is letting me down. CW, be my hero :)

Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars are the perfect fir for Tuesdays so that day shouldn't be changed.

Smallville and Supernatural are the perfect fit on the Thursday so the only thing i can thing of is if they remove Beauty and the Geek and replace it with The OC so we have a Wednesday double of OC and One Tree Hill.

PS : Smallville + Supernatural are the best shows ever.

I get why some people are against the idea of The O.C coming to The CW, bt people would be exactly the same if this was happening to One Tree Hill...which is also a really good show...but The O.C has been really good this season and FOX just seem to be playing hard ball!! So come on The CW pick up The O.C!!!! :)

please, o.c. needs to be saved! it's good, it's famous, it would give more audience to thecw! please pick it up!

That would be great.
And so would the CW trying not to call itself "the big green."

OC on CW had endless possibilites... OTH and OC on the same network is destined for greatness!!!!!

THE OC on the CW, sounds cool!

Save the show please? Im a huge fan of The OC and it fits perfect with the Big Green. One Tree Hill and The OC on the same network will bring down the house! Can you picture OTH and OC cross storylines???? I can see it now The Scotts vacation on Newport Beach. Ben and Chad on the same network is pretty cool!

yesss!

if the OC and One Tree Hill were aired back to back on the same night, each would probably get a boost in ratings since the fan base is pretty much the same
i would totally reserve that night just for those two shows!!

I think this could be a good idea if the CW brought back old characters from the OC, like Luke,Hailey, Jimmy (hell maybe even Oliver)
ratings would then probably improve and it would be a good addition to the network

but we do already have One Tree Hill which is sooo much better!!

the post says the 3rd season was worse than the 4th???? noooo way..
3rd had some good storylines .. 4th season is just boring

Patrick: I'm ready and willing to go to battle just let me at them!!! LOL! The CW Network has my full support!

No you don't need poor quality shows like The O.C when you have great quality shows like ONE TREE HILL(the best show ever).

I'm from Germany and i think O.C. would be the perfect lead-in for Hidden Palms( when it gets a success). So save the O.C., its worth it.

Greetz

Now I live in the UK, and therefore haven't witnessed Fox's apparent lack of attention towards The O.C., but I must say that it would be awesome if The O.C. was carried on to a fifth season on The CW network. I'm a huge fan of the OC, and have seen all the latest season 4 episodes online, and I must say, this season has been absolutely amazing so far. Killing off Marissa was the smartest move the writers could have made (I know alot of people liked Marissa, but not me!). For me, she became very boring, with constantly recycled storylines, which all just took her away from Ryan, and then led her back to him (boring!), plus, season 3 became a bit like seasons 5 & 6 of Joey's Creek (sorry, Dawson's Creek!). The O.C. should be allowed to live on for several more years to come. It really deserves it, and would be an awesome addition to the already great CW lineup.

It's a HUGE idea, The OC is one of the best Teen show on tv

It's great!!!! I'm from Belgium and i love The OC! The next season on The CW? Yes!!

i think that the oc should only come to the cw if they get rid of one tree hill.

i dont care what network the oc is on it jst cant be stopped its absolute quality, i dont think any network could kill the oc!

I would love for the OC to be saved, but I'm a little scared of it getting picked up by the CW. Many of the shows on the CW have gone way down in quality from when they were on the WB. My opinion is that the CW is cursed.

May I ask why a few people posting think that The CW's integrity would be affected if they pick up The O.C.? So what if it just came off of another network. It's apparent that most of the complainers have never watched the show, as they give no connections to the show (i.e. Ryan and Marissa, Seth and Summer). I just don't understand why you think a CW pickup of The O.C. would be a deathblow to the network.

Thanks for the information, its great to know that the CW network is even considering picking it up. The OC is definitly one of my favourite shows and I think it would do much better in a different time slot. I fully support the effort that is being taken to continue the oc for at least another season!

Hopefully everything we love about The O.C. can come in one piece to The O.C. When I say that, I mean the music, the actors, etc. Since Warner Brothers owns The O.C. (at least I think so, as on the DVDs a Warner Brothers clip is shown before the main menu) and The CW, it shouldn't be a problem. At least I hope so.

No to The OC. The CW is a new network and it does not need FOX's left over scraps. Let The OC be canceled and let the CW launch new shows, but Keep Veronica Mars, Supernatural, and One Tree Hill.

Hi Cathy,
I will post if I hear anything else new regarding this idea. I think it may take some time to see how things are going to shake out. Perhaps one thing would be to add a "bring The O.C. to The CW page" on this site or something like that as a way to show CW executives that there is fan support to continue to look at this move. I have no idea what the FOX people have in mind seeing as the seaon is half over and they are going to have to get serious about making some decisions. I agree with Lisa that FOX has put zero promotion into the show this year and also kept it in a tough time slot. I thought perhaps FOX felt it was the best show they had to compete in that time slot regardless of the ratings. Either way something must change as the way things are going is not good for the shows' future. Keep the faith and If the time comes be prepared to support the effort!

Fox's Save The OC petition is now over 275,000 strong. That's a great number, considering that the petition is not accessible through Fox's OC page and you have to be told about it in order to know about it.

The OC is, in my opinion, the best show in the history of television. EVER. I've loved shows before, but never as intensely as this. I even refused to watch Grey's Anatomy this season because it was going to compete against The OC. I loved Grey's, but would not allow myself to get interested in anything that might get in the way of The OC. If you think about it, that is not a minor statement.

The reason The OC didn't continue to get great ratings is because of where Fox insisted on placing it in its program lineup and the lack of advertising. Look at the advertising blitz Fox devoted to this show in season 1. The result was a #1 hit. The ratings have declined similarly proportionate to the lack of effort Fox has made to advertise the show.

I just finished season 3 last night -- which is not considered by most to be a great season, but I disagree with that assessment. Yes, the Jeri Ryan storyline was boring (again, Fox's fault), and I didn't like Johnny and Sadie, but that was mostly due to the fact that they came between Ryan and Marissa. Other than those few missteps, however, I enjoyed season 3 almost as much as seasons 1 and 2. In the last few episodes, I was still laughing out loud at some, and grabbing the tissues at many other points. I was a huge fan of the Ryan/Marissa love story and was broken hearted when she was killed off. But not because of Marissa. It was because of Ryan and the fact that their true love didn't get the chance to conquer all, and now we'll never have that particular happily-ever-after.

But season 4 is back to top notch form, and Fox is making a mistake if it does not renew The OC. But the fans don't trust Fox any more, and we worry that even if The OC does continue on that network, Fox might pull the plug at any time. The 'failure' of The OC has not been The OC's fault -- it's been FOX'S FAULT. If Fox is so concerned about making a good showing on Thursday nights, they need to put one of their currently bigger hits like 24 or American Idol there, and give The OC a timeslot where it can rebuild and thrive. The OC is awesome and can survive - if FOX will just let it! We, the fans, want Josh Schwartz and this incredible group of actors to keep coming into our homes each week!

Hi all,

i'm also from Germany and i just reviewing the first Season via DVD. Also i know the actual Storyline. I must say, if Josh Schwartz returns the Storyline like the first Season it would be perfect an i think more viewers will return to the O.C. ! So please CW, save the O.C. and bring it back on track like the series were in the beginning !

Thanks allot, haooy new Year from Hamburg, Germany!
Carsten

The only show I've tuned into The CW for is "REBA." I used to watch quite a bit of programs on The WB, but most are gone...prematurely. Don't much care about "The O.C.," but if The CW cancels "REBA," I'll never have reason to tune in...

Hey, I'm from Germany and every saturday I watch the new episode on youtube.com on english, because I am a very big fan of The O.C. and I can't wait until the 4th season starts here in Germany in April, and so I watch it on english.
I would be very glad about saving The O.C. and I really hope that The CW will save The O.C., the best series ever!!!!

Woohoo! Patrick tell us who to email, I'll contact anyone I have to, to get the OC to the CW Network, I'm tired of Fox! Fox is making a mockery out of every fan of the show. They post polls with no comments and tell us nothing. Personally I think the show needs to move the CW Network which I believe would do a much better job promoting and supporting both it's fans and the show!

Its perfect!!!!! OC forever.... (from Spain).... (Althougt we haven`t watched third season yet)....

Hi Patrick, I know it's not a done deal, but just knowing there has definitely been talk of the CW taking over the OC if Fox drops it is music to our ears! Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
This is by no means a done deal or even on the table as of yet. Step one is to see if Fox is going to keep the show first and foremost. Hopefully, Fox orders more episodes and brings the series back for a fifth season.
That being said, the trend so far has not looked good for the O.C.’s survival. This has gotten the powers that be talking and looking at options.
All I can say is that there is interest should the series be available and Fox decides to cancel the show. There is no guarantee The CW will be able to put the deal together, or if Josh Schwartz will be willing to continue if Adam and Rachel or any other of the core cast members do not wish to return.
Personally, I hear that if Fox refuses to re-order the show and the Producers wish to continue at the quality and cast level of this season, that it could be the right move for both the O.C. and the New CW Network. We will have to wait and see how things shake out over some time here, but obviously the initial consideration of the idea got out to a TV Guide writer, and I thought as a supporter of the show that I would post what I knew upon seeing the posting today on The O.C. Bloger website. We will all have to stay tuned.

Patrick, I think I love you. Yes-- bring The OC to Fox!!!

Are you serious? They're considering this? I thought it was just an unsubstantiated rumor. The OC won't get the same ratings on CW because there is *less* coverage nationally. What about that is too difficult for the CW execs to comprehend? They're crazy if they do this. Is the CW only for teens? I'll consider dropping the network if they do this. I'll watch Supernatural via DVD or iTunes. Moving the OC to the CW will make the network a further laughing stock. So--is Veronica Mars going to be dumped to make room for the OC, or will the Dianne Ruggerio pilot not see the light of day? Will One Tree Hill get dumped, or is it going to be teeny bopper paradise from now on with no hope of decent programming? The OC is played out, just like Gilmore Girls.

The CW needs programming that appeals to more than just teens. It needs original scripted programming. Budget cuts will erode the quality of the OC. Its ratings won't be as good. Fans will be complaining, "Why did they do this? The OC sucks again this year." The CW needs a hit of its own to catch on. Short term thinking is going to kill this network.

Hi friends, Wow it is funny that this CW possible move got posted.
Here is what I know.....
My brother works in programming for The CW Network.
We talked a lot at the end of last year regarding the merger from the WB to the New CW, and how One Tree Hill was saved by fan and advertiser support. We were watching the ratings when Season 4 of One Tree Hill first aired this fall to see if the fight to keep the show was going to pay off. Then in November we were comparing some numbers with the late start of this season of the O.C. Needless to say the O.C. has not been putting up the numbers that FOX expects but in comparison have been very similar to the CW's 9:00 pm slots and just slightly better then the ratings for One Tree Hill. It was at this time that we first considered a move of the O.C. to the CW as we thought ratings would probably stay close to where they are even if the O.C. moved Networks and that might be o.k.
The key thing to be aware of is that what FOX and The C.W. consider to be good ratings for their programming are comparably different. i.e. Fox expects more then the C.W.
Fox is gearing up for their American Idol 2007, which as we know is a huge draw. I agree that season 4 of the O.C. has been great, but I am concerned that FOX may drop the show anyways because the numbers have shown that the O.C. just does not have the traction that FOX had hoped for when they agreed to purchase 16 episodes for season 4. I do not think any of the decision makers at FOX really believe that that the O.C. can obtain the ratings it once had now competing against Grey's Anatomy or CSI and Fox executives expect to compete against the big 3 networks.
The good news is that the O.C. could have a rebirth by changing networks. If the show can continue to draw at the least their current ratings, the show could go one for a few more seasons on the CW. I have heard that Josh Schwartz and the O.C. creators are seriously willing to consider the move if Fox drops them and the C.W. offered to pick them up. We will know very soon the road ahead as Fox will be at the point where they will have to order more season episodes. If they do not, then the fate of the show on Fox is in trouble. At best, expect Fox to MAYBE order enough of a season 5 to wrap up the series conclusion.
A big factor is the cast members. If Adam and Rachel do not wish to come back, then do not expect the C.W. to pick up the show with a minimized cast as the cost for the show is not worth the gamble. To date, Ben, Peter, Melinda and Kelly are pushing to keep the show afloat. Who knows if Adam and Rachel's recent break has affected their willingness to have to work with each other everyday?
I will keep you posted of any new developments from my end, but believe me this could shake out to be more then just talk.

I'm Obsessed Completely -- and we must have a season 5! I know they may be wrapping up the story line since it's close to the end of s4, but Josh is a brilliant writer and HE CAN DO THIS! What better way to prove his credibility than to not only create a great show, but to KEEP it going!

I'd even go for a fictional college nearby so all the characters can stay in the same city! ...or, jump ahead 4-5 years like 'another show' is doing (and go from the post-college years)! Not a far-fetched concept when you think of Ben, Adam and Rachel's real ages!

ANYTHING to keep the OC coming into my house each week! Maybe it's crazy but life wouldn't be the same without the OC in it! We must have a season 5 and hopefully beyond!!

Here's another: To the powers that be at The CW:

I'm a potential big fan of The CW. Currently, all I watch on your network are what's on when I go to bed -- Will & Grace, Seinfeld, or Sex and the City. But I saw something recently that could make me totally devoted to The CW and loyal enough to feel obligated to give it's other shows a try...

I can't tell you how ecstatic I was to see a poll by someone at your network about The CW possibly picking up The OC. That is a fantastic idea which would bring lots of new fans -- including me -- to your network. Unfortunately, the only way I found the poll was by Google Alerts I have set up on The OC and the totally awesome actor Ben McKenzie, who plays the main character, Ryan. Lots of people don't know the poll exists, and a friend of mine was deleted from the Fox boards when she tried to post the link there. But know this -- lots more people would be responding if that poll was widely available.

If any of the decision-makers at The CW are not fans of The OC, or don't know much about it, or are in any other way skeptical, may I respectfully make a suggestion: RENT AND WATCH SEASON 1! (Or, simply check out the many amazing reviews of Season 1 on Amazon.com). Watch 1 or 2 episodes of season 1 and you'll know what all the fuss is about. You can't watch just 1 episode. It's totally addictive from pilot to finale, no matter what your age. And it stands up to repeated viewings. There are many, many people ... myself included ... who have watched the entire series MULTIPLE times. Some of the reviews on Amazon say the same thing. While the third season didn't get great reviews from all sources, there are a lot of people who loved it -- including me. Perhaps that's simply a result of my total devotion to The OC, but if the first season was amazing enough to keep so many fans wanting more thru the years, you've got to realize that The OC is something really special.

I read somewhere that Fox's mismanagement of The OC is one of the sadder stories in recent broadcast history. The CW should take advantage of Fox's mistakes and pick up this show. It will do well for any network that is willing to give it a decent timeslot and a little promotion. And in reruns, it will gain even more viewers. This show is amazing! Please bring The OC to The CW!

Of course the OC is a perfect fit for the CW Network the 18-49 demographic is the demographic the CW is marketing towards. If it changed what would the CW Network do with all of it's shows. Saying it should change the demographic that's been working for them all along is ridiculous.

I've sent this letter to the CW Network, come on CW Network.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Oh my, oh my, is the CW Network really contemplating picking up the OC, as the CW Network Blog and Poll seem to indicate? That's the most wonderful news I think I have ever heard. I'm a big fan of your network and I'm apparently not in your target market, but you had me at Smallville! I became addicted to Smallville while looking for something at watch on Sunday nights a few years back, there were 57 channels and nothing on. Anyway the CW Network made the wise decision to replay their young shows on Sundays at 5 and 6 pm respectively, both Smallville and One Tree Hill, so I watched and became a fan. In addition I love Supernatural, of course, I don't get watch it, because the OC is on at the same time. But if the CW Network picked up the OC and put it on after One Tree Hill, that would just be the perfect lead in for the OC. I couldn't believe that Fox didn't make use of it, they switched the OC to Wednesday for one night. When they did it ran at the same time as One Tree Hill, how stupid does one have to be? Put it on after One Tree Hill draw back in the teeny bop viewers. But no, that's Fox asleep at the stick as usual.

That said, my favorite show in the whole world, is THE OC. When THE OC premiered I began watching all of Fox's other shows, Bones, House, American Idol, I had never seen the first season of American Idol, but watched it when THE OC premiered while waiting for THE OC to come on. If THE OC is cancelled by Fox I will no longer watch the FOX Network at all. Fox has completely and thoroughly mismanaged THE OC for many seasons now and could stand to learn a thing or two about promoting and supporting a show from the CW Network. Your network
knows how it's done. Apparently the only shows Fox is interested in are: House, Bones and Standoff and that they run them several times each week. They cancel new shows right off the bat without giving them a chance to gain an audience. I really don't have anything positive to say about the Fox Network. Fox shuts down everything for baseball while all the other shows are premiering for the season. They lose people right out of the gate, people make their viewing decisions in the beginning of the season.

Fox apparently no longer cares about the OC and has never been successful in shoring up the OC with an appropriate lead-in for the OC. In my opinion The OC is just no longer a good fit for Fox. The CW Network is the perfect fit almost any of the shows the CW currently has on it's network fit with THE OC. I say do it, do it now, because the fans of the OC are unshakeable and we will support the network that carries our favorite show, that's why we, the fans, have chosen to contact the CW Network to plead our cause to you directly. Go ahead, make my day, allow me the chance to say, "Welcome to the CW......Switch!"

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.

PLEASE do this!!!! so many people who watch shoes on the CW love the OC, so i think it would be a great fit!!! I would do anything for the OC to continue!

I love the idea of The OC moving to another network. The OC has been my favorite show since it first aired in 2003, and there are a lot of people out there who feel the same. What would we do without our Ryan fix? Ben McKenzie is a-ma-zing! I also love Adam and hope he would be on board as well. He may have stars in his eyes, but nothing is for certain and from what I hear, every role he plays is a version of Seth. He’d do well to stay with The OC as long as it’s around. Same for Rachel, but if she left, we could perhaps have the opportunity for Seth to eventually find himself in another hilarious triangle (Anna, anyone?). The OC must live on!

NO.

This network needs to transition away from schmaltzy, angsty teen drama if it's going to succeed long term. Most of the people in the 18-34 demo are *not teens.* OC is a teen soap that's merely experiencing a little burst of creative energy; it's only temporary. At the end of the day, it's still nothing but a teen soap. The CW is in desperate need of NEW programming. Original scripted dramas. It doesn't need another series that will be five seasons old next year that's nearing it's natural creative end. Acquiring the OC is a *mistake* because it's only a short term solution with a large cast that will be too expensive. Another 7th Heaven. They won't be able to afford to pay everyone, and there will be cuts. The cuts will affect quality, and the CW will have a crappy series on its hands. The CW doesn't need more One Tree Hill clones. You have an adult audience, too. Honor that audience. Nurture more smart dramas like Veronica Mars. Develop the Diane Ruggerio project. Promote Supernatural the way it deserves to be promoted. Don't regress.

If you want to survive long term, forget the OC. Please. It's not a solution.

if this will save the oc, please do it!! i don't really know about these channels because i live in australia and watch it on channel 10, but i would hate to see the oc cancelled, it is my favourite show and i don't know what i would do if i couldn't watch it!!

SAVE OC
CW BUY THE OC PLEASEE

One Tree Hill, ANTM, Smallville, and The OC are my favorite shows!!! The only one not on the CW is The OC so of course the idea of rescuing it by bringing it over to the CW is 100% brilliant!!!! I would never turn the channel. The only reason why I would go against bringing The OC to CW is if it meant that we lost One Tree Hill or Smallville...those two must continue on!!!! CW rocks!!!

great idea, i would really love if the OC come to CW. CW has really good shows. and i think that the OC would help CW as much as CW would help them.

well I lovee THE CW I mean my favorite shows are here: Gilmore Girls, Smallville, SUpernatural and OTH...and THE OC use to be one of them but not anymore...no Since they killed Marissa and Ryan & Marissa love, so...I dont know iF is a good idea bring THE OC to THE CW...so...c'mon CW do that is best for us and for you...

xOXo...KaRo

I think its a great idea, The OC has definitly picked up again this season and I think part of the reason the ratings are down are because it is on at the same time as other major shows like Grey's anatomy and CSI. With a different day or time on a different network it would give people a chance to watch all of there favourite shows including the oc, as well there is still a very large fan base that watch the show now and would love to see it go on. It is a great show, I never miss it and I would love for it to continue on for as many seasons as it can!

I think it would be great. The CW has so many great shows for young ppl, not that I am that young. I am 25, N E ways, Not only would it bring a large fan base over to the CW but they could get The O.C of of the death trap it is in being on Thursdays the same time as Grey's Anatomy. I know this has been done before so I hope they do it again. I love the O.C and I live the CW and together I think it will be a great fit.

omgggggggggg that would be AMAZING bec i love the OC i dont know what i'd do without it you guys sooooo have to pick it up!!
PLEASE CW SAVE THE OC!!!!!(but don't take away the other amazing shows like V.M, OTH, Gilmore Girls.......

Save The OC!!!(Just so it doesn't push Veronica Mars or Supernatural off the air)

Please CW pick up The OC for a new season, it´s a show with a fanbase and you guys need that, and we need the show!!!

it'd be great! i hope this comes true!

Hey, my english ist´t the best...i´m a german ;)

I think that's the best idea i've heard ever since i heard stupid FOX is giving the oc only 16 episodes and ending it. this season has been the best season so far in my opinion. one of the best relationships just started on the oc, ryan and taylor, and the fact that we can't really see that develop angers me more than you'll know.

in this season of the o.c. the only i like is ryan and taylor, maybe later of oth the o.c. in the wed.

I love Oth and The O.C.
Will by a great this 2 show together the same nigth

Melinda, The CW won't "steal" The OC...they might pick it up if FOX doesn't renew it. Either way, you might want to pester your cable providor to get you that channel since there's some good programming on it like Veronica Mars.

I totally disagree!!!!!!!! Some of us dont get that chanel, i no a lot of ppl and ratings would go down dramatically. Isnt taht the chanel with one tree hill on there, why put 2 of those shows together. I dont no but i dont get that chanel and that sucks becuz the oc is my life and i need to watch the oc even tho season 4 sucks.

excellent idea. thats all i have to say. a mix of the OC and One tree hill all in one channel. i think i hear the sound of good ratings.

live long the OC!

In regard to the comment by someone who said they are past their teens and want something other than a 'teen angst drama,' I'd like The CW to know that I'm well over 40 and know of a lot of people my age and even older who say The OC is one of the best shows in the history of television. And that includes a couple of people who are new converts and have just finished seasons 1 and 2. I've told them about the low ratings on season 3 (which I liked, btw), but they love The OC so much they insist on seeing the whole series in order. This show has widespread appeal and is not just for teens! Bring it to the CW!

taking the oc to cw is the only way to save it!!!!PLEASEEE SAVE THE OC CW!

As to the concern of the writing staff not coming over and budget cuts...FOX is just the distributor. The OC is produced by Warner Bros., Wonderland, and College Hill.

Frankly, after finding and watching the pilot of Hidden Palms online, I have to say putting The OC and Hidden Palms together would work really well. The OC would also pair really well with Veronica Mars.

I think The CW should go for it.

As far as taking the scraps of other networks...ABC kinda made it clear they wanted Arrested Development before the creator pulled the plug. As long as The CW doesn't do it too often, or with crappy shows, it won't downgrade the image. The OC is a very quality show that has had one bad season (S3), and a lot of the problems with it were due to FOX telling them how to write the show. Network interference always detracts from the stories. The OC also has a pretty rabid fanbase who are pissed at FOX. Taking The OC not only cements those OC viewers, but also gets viewers who are actively irate at a competing network.

It's win-win for The CW.

The CW should definitely pick up The O.C.! I've got internet alerts set up on the show and have been watching them since summer began. Almost every critic who has reviewed it has had only great things to say about season 4. Why should a network like the CW waste money trying to develop new shows when there's a hit out there for the taking that's just waiting for a new home? New shows are big gambles and that can come later ... after The O.C. has helped to further the CW's fan base! And I tell you, bringing The O.C. to the CW will definitely bring a lot of new fans to the network. The O.C. is still my favorite show ... and I'll follow it ANYWHERE. It's definitely worth saving!

omgosh! the CW has to save the o.c! it is my all time favorite show && if it goes off the air i seriously dont know what i would do! FOX SUCKS. THE CW ROCKS =] *SAVE THE OC*

Picking up the OC is not a good idea. You have actors' salaries to deal with; there's no guarantee the writing staff would come over, and there would almost certainly be budget cuts. There's no guarantee you'd get fourth season "quality." I'm past my teen years and want to see something other than another teen angst drama. Can't the CW do better than that? It's going to have to bite the bullet and create its own programming at some point or it won't survive. Taking another network's cast offs is not a good idea. 4 million and change on FOX, which has more national coverage, does not translate to over 4 million viewers on the CW. Use your noggin, people. The OC is a bad bet.

OMG please save the OC.
But make sure it's not canceled in Australia because I love the OC and if it gets canceled here I can't watch the OC.

The OC is getting hot again, and if Fox is so stupid to let it go, the CW could benefit a lot!!! YES, the OC must go on, seize the opportunity!!!

I disagree with this idea. And I agree with everyone saying the CW needs its own shows. They won't survive picking up other shows. Runaway was a disaster and they need to try again.

YeS! I think that would be a GREAT idea. I love the O.C. and would hate to see it be over. CW would be a prefect fit, and plus the rating that the O.C. gets would help the CW...Love the O.C.

Please no. The CW's got to start creating its own programming. Just because the OC has experienced a little renaissance doesn't mean it would be a good firt for a fifth season on the CW, where its budget would have to be cut. Think, people. Would the writers stay? Would you get a season like the fourth or the third? Do you really want another One Tree Hill? This network has got to start remembering that some of its viewers are over 21. The O.C. has finally scored 4 million viewers when there were no first runs playing against it. On Fox. With 100 percen national coverage. That would be reduced on the CW, which doesn't have any more coverage than the WB did.

I vote no on the O.C. Not a good choice.

PLEASE!!!! THE OC NEEDS TO BE SAVED!!!!!!! IT IS THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION FOR SUCH A WIDE VARIETY OF PEOPLE!!!! I DON"T KNOW WHAT I"LL DO IF IT"S CANCELLED BECAUSE I LOOK FORWARD TO IT EVERY WEEK AND SO DO MILLIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD!!!!!!!!! IF FOX CANCELS IT"S BEST SHOW THAN I AM ALL FOR BOYCOTTING ALL IT"S OTHERS AND JUST WATCHING THE CW (IF YOU PICK IT UP)!!!!! IF YOU DON"T PICK IT UP HOWEVER< I WILL MOST LIKELY BOYCOTT ALL YOUR SHOWS TO SO PLEASE SAVE THE OC!!!!!

Yes, yes. It is a great idea. The OC should move to The CW. Totally agree.
Anything to save the show!!!!!!.

The O.C. made TV Guide.com’s Hot List for 12/21/06, and also the Hot List in the actual TV Guide that you buy in stores. It was in the "Shows You've Gotta See" section, as well as in the "Previously On... (Recapping your favorites)". I also saw it on several other "must watch" lists on 12/21/06. It's so obvious that The OC is popular again! If this is a "show you've gotta see" and TV Guide is recapping it as 'one of our favorites', how in the world can anybody ignore the fact that The O.C. is definitely back? Give it a good timeslot, and watch it take off again!

Yes! Move The OC to the CW! The OC rocks, and so will the CW if they pick it up. I don’t currently watch any of the shows on the CW, but will become a faithful fan if it saves my favorite show. Let Fox’s mistakes be the CW’s gain!

No. Absolutely not. The CW needs to develop its *own* programming. Taking castoffs from other networks is not the way to do it. If the network can't develop its own programming it won't survive.

I think it would be a SMART move for the CW to pick up The O.C.--especially now, while it's increasing in viewers and ratings. The only two shows I watch on the network are Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars, two shows with an avid fan base. Veronica and the O.C. already share a large number of viewers. Having both shows on the same network would ensure a level of success greater than a brand new show would.

I think that the O.C. would be a great fit for the CW Network. Because the network is so new and fresh, it would be great to have a show that has been rejuvenated and is as new and fresh as the O.C. is right now. It's great television and should not be cancelled!

A year ago I would have said no. However, the quality has improved immensely and I enjoy it to the point that it surpasses the enjoyment I had back in season one. If given the opportunity on the CW, I have no doubt that it would continue to exceed expectations. Furthermore, I'd have another reason to watch the CW -- the only show I watch is Veronica Mars.

After coming back to life this season, The OC definitely deserves another go around. It's a perfect fit for The CW, I think it suits the culture of the network.

As long as Veronica Mars and Supernatural are still on the CW network then I would welcome The OC to join it.

as an avid fan of both the o.c. and several shows on the cw (veronica mars & supernatural) i would LOVE to see the o.c. make the switch. it's a natural fit for the network. FOX would be crazy to cancel a show that's having such an amazing upswing...and the cw would be crazy not to pick it up if given the chance.

paging dawn ostroff!!

Well maybe the O.C. will replace Veronica Mars who is doing awefully these days or it'll repalce Gilmore Girls if it is its last season..I personally would love watch the O.C on the CW no that matters cause here in latinoamrica they air it on the Warner Channel along side with Smallville and Gilmore girls ..so is like having our very own CW...except for OTH who ironicly FOX is the channel who airs it.

But Yeah bring it on The O.C. since Barton left this show is getting better and better.

Smallville and The O.C.?? the CW will be on fire

The CW would be the perfect new home for The O.C.! The network already has some of my favorite shows on it, OTH, VM and SV, adding The O.C. to that would be amazing! FOX only giving The O.C. 16 episodes this season is totally stupid, it has renewed itself and I can only see it getting better, if given the chance! The new relationship between Ryan and Taylor is the best thing to happen to the show in a long time, FOX's decision to end the show after this season is just plain dumb! The CW should take advantage of FOX's stupidity, it will bring more viewers to the network and would please the fans, works all round!

No
I don't like this idea

I think it would be great for The OC to come to the CW. I was extremely happy when that happened with my other obsession years ago, Roswell. I don't want anything on the CW now except ANTM and that would give me more reason to tune in.

I think it's a great idea for the oc to move to the cw!

i think that the oc should come to the cw because most of the shows on the cw right now aren't doing to great and the oc is finally good again.

i think that's the best idea i've heard ever since i heard stupid FOX is giving the oc only 16 episodes and ending it. this season has been the best season so far in my opinion. one of the best relationships just started on the oc, ryan and taylor, and the fact that we can't really see that develop angers me more than you'll know. i would crawl on my hands and knees begging the cw 2 pick up the oc if i knew that would help. i just don't understand why FOX wants to cancel it now when it's getting so good and people are falling in love with it again. this reminds me of the time when the WB ended my other fav show, buffy, and then UPN picked it up and gave me 2 more amazing seasons. if the cw could do that for the oc, i would b threw the roof with happiness..i mean this network already has my 2 fav shows, OTH and Veronica Mars, if it had the OC 2..i'd think of nothing but the CW when it comes to TV. well there's my opinions and views and why i think the oc is DEFINITELY worth saving!!

You have to pick that show cos it's awesome!!!!

Season 4 is so worth it, and I think I would be totally good for your network, why not a OTH/OC night???

The OC is better than 90% of what's on The CW right now, and their ratings would be good for the channel. Win for everyone, really!

Anything to save The OC.

SO YES. If you have the oppurtunity to have this show on your network, TAKE IT!

I think the CW should beg for a pop cutlure show like this one to come along.... Bring it to the CW pretty please

I would love to see The O.C. on the CW! It's new season is so good, the show has totally turnt itself around after season 3...it needs to be saved!!!

i think its a great idea for the o.c. to come to the cw network
