Hydro: Um, Yeah... and Other Thoughts

Smallville
We're sorry, but we just have to say it: Turning into water may be the dorkiest superpower ever. Seriously, doesn't it mean she can be defeated by a mop? A hairdryer? It looked silly when the Wonder Twins did it back in the day, and it looks silly now. So, do Tori Spelling's clothes turn liquid too? How does she manage that?

Do you think water girl is really dead? We doubt it. We can imagine her crashing - or should we say splashing? - Lex and Lana's society wedding.

Speaking of which, what do you think of Lana's choice? We're actually kind of glad. Homegirl needed to just make up her mind, and it's not like she doesn't have an idea of what she's getting into. Good luck, Lana. You'll need it.

In other news, this episode gave plenty for both Clark/Chloe and Clark/Lois 'shippers to think about. Okay, folks, we know this will spark a bunch of debate, but try to keep it civil, alright? Clark and Chloe had some great moments, especially when she confronted him about how hard it is to keep his secret. And the Lois liplock with the
"Green Arrow?" That should have some interesting repercussions. We hope Ollie's not the jealous type.

Share what you thought of the villain, the romances and more!

omg i love the green arrow (justin hartley) he`s so cute and hot he should regret leaving lois

Best episode of Smallville! I hate how it fluctuates though. Smallville gets good then dumb, then good again. It should always just have episodes like these. Good stuff

DUDE HYDRO ROCKED!!!

im a huge fan of smallville and i was really disappointed with this episode. the story with someone who turns to water was already done in the spiderman comics so it was sort of lame. everything else with the episode was great and i cant wait to see whats next!

Bring on Clana !

Lex is a psycopath !
She deserves so much more than him.

She deserves to be happy again and with Clark even if at the end we know that they'll not end up together.

And NOT everyone love Clois ! I dislike the bits about Clois and I'm not the only one !

Lois is the future so let her go ! We don't need her !

I really miss the seasons 1,2 and 3 ! They were amazing ! And without parasite...

HYDRO WAS DEF GREAT I LOVED THE EPISODE I CANT WAIT FOR THURSDAY MAN ITS SO INTENSE AND INTERESTING AND VERY ENTERTAINING. I LOVE YOU GUYS FOR BRINGING SMALLVILLE TO WORLD. ITS DEFINITLY THE GREATEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW.
I LOVE SEASON 6

There was too much Lana and too much Lana-whining in this episode. But the non-Lana parts were fun.

I'm glad "Justice" will be 100% Lana-free. This is something Smallville should aspire to be on a weekly basis.

Lois is not funny. Her presentation is always jumpy and hyper. She is never congruent with the other actors. Smallville should end by the close of the season 6. The magic and uniqueness of Smallville is no longer there in Season 6. Green Arrow received the lowest rating comparison to all the other superheroes. People who have watched this series from the beginning have great affections for the characters of Clark, Chloe, Martha, Lana and watching the sad downward spiral of these characters, especially Lana, is just NO FUN at all. I am sorry I ever got so interested in the series. It is a huge disappointment to me now. I feel quite sad watching what this series has turned into.

I really enjoyed Hydro a lot. It was a really cool episode. I am really glad about the good reviews it is getting, specially Erica Durance who has been praised a lot for her portrayal of Lois Lane in this one. I cannot wait for Justice to see how things break up b/w Oliver and her and how Justice League is formed.

I know Lois and Clark are not going to become a couple until the very last episodes of the series, so I am not too optimistic right now but I would really like to request Al & Miles that spare us the Clana torture. It makes Clark miserable and he is not anywhere near his Superman personna when he is with Lana.

I really love Erica Durance and after Hydro I love her more. She was truly the comic book Lois Lane in this one. Please if you are not going to bring Clois any time soon, at least bring Erica in all episodes so we can enjoy this wonderful character that brightens up the show.

CLARK KENT HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN LANED!

I love this line. It's priceless!

I just beg TPTB not to revisit Clana again. Hydro was such a fresh and wonderful episode. Please don't destroy Clark's character and development once again by bringing Clana. Lana was a phase in Clark's life and let it be over forever now.

Even the little bits of Clois brought smile to everyone's face. If the canon relationship is shown on the show, I am sure a lot of fans who left SV will come back. ED and TW have wonderful chemistry, please, please don't waste it.

"sucking lips with leather daddy" hahhaaa that was priceless. I love Jimmy Olsen! I really do!

Erica Durance is totally, absolutely, entirely, completely and undoubtedly Lois Lane... "pull a Lois and ambush him" LOL I love this girl.

Lana loves both Clark and Lex.. wow! How much further are you guys going to destroy Lana? Give her some dignity please.

Chloe is a Clois fan. I didn't know that LOL! Her fight with Linda Lake and cofrontation scenes were really cool.

Clark's expression after the kiss was so priceless. Lois surely surprised him. Is that why he showed up at Lois's apartment in a nice blue outfit instead of plaid? LOL I can't stop smiling after all these wonderful moments.

Tom Welling's direction was great & so was his acting, specially in the whole pretending to be GA scenes. Clark was excited about the costume! Wow!

Once again, I love Jimmy Olsen.

Counting days for Justice!

I totally loved this episode! I was laughing almost the whole time. It wasn't a laugh like a funny laugh it was more of excitement. I believe that Linda Lake did need to be in the episode, because it's more to show that Chloe can stand on her own two feet now, and doesn't need Clark. As for the Clois kiss, that was absolutely priceless! I especially loved when Oliver appeared behind her and said, "That's one hell of a thank you." And then she slaps Clark. You hear him speed away then you see a sort of smirk on his face. All in all I would have to say that this has to be probably the second best ep of the season. (Right below Zod.)

Great Episode for both Chlark & Clois fans. Not a big Lana fan, but the drama involved made the episode very engaging (except that it still makes Clark look like an idiot....but what the hey....Lex is looking pretty pathetic himself....face it people...on this show....Lex will never be the MAGNIFCIENT BASTARD that Lionel was).

The only other bad thing about the episode is the way some people are over analyzing the "Chloe is over Clark" because of the scene at the talon. Makes me roll my eyes several times over. Now let's say...that even if this is where the writters are actually going with them......all that is definite about that scene is that Chloe was having fun at Clark's expense. There is also no deneying that Clark definitely did enjoy the kiss (but come on....who wouldn't....Erica is hot to trot! Just ask Green Arrow & Aquaman), but Clark didn't exactly look love struck to me when Chloe was ribbing him with the "who does that" & "isn't that romantic" remarks.

It just annoys me when people talk so definitive about one ship as a result of one or two scenes......you'd think that with Al & Mile's track record.....people would have learned their lesson by now. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't bother me when people talk about something as a possibilty.....but it annoys when they talk like it's fact and it isn't. Everyone knows that L & C get together in the future....but on Smallville....anything is still game.....even (trying hard not to vomit because we know it's true) "Clana".

My feeling is that THE POWERS THAT BE are gonna keep teasing all the ships in their perpetual quest for continued ratings. But hey, at least Justice & Labrynth look like straight out good episodes regardless of what ship get's pimped.

And not that I think they're gonna go this route, but if they do plan to move Clark straight on to Lois from here on out.....then I'd prefer to know right off......I think I could actually & honestly stop watching the show at that point (despite liking Erica's Lois here and there). I started watching this show because it was new, and about Superman before he became Superman. If it's gonna be about the same old Lois & Clark (which I used to watch "here and there")....then.....ehh....70 year old storyline gets dull quick.....you know.

Smallville's pimping of all the ships to keep ratings reminds me of a Justice League episode called "Wild Cards".

Green Lantern has been caught in a massive explosion, and an emotional Hawk Girl is trying desprately to revive him. Meanwhile, the Joker....(who is broadcasting the event to 70 Million TV viewers)... plays dramatic comentator:

Joker: "Oooooo....Medical Emergency.....Life & Death Stakes....Compelling Human Conflict....."

Pause a beat as the Joker slowly puts on a manical, evil grin, and raises a clenched fist high

Joker: "RATINGS!"

That scene always makes me think of those two other jokers......Al Gough & Miles Mallar.

The Clark-Lana romance, the Clark-Lex antagonism and the interplay of friendships of Clark-Lana-Chloe are what gave this show appeal. What is happening on Smallville is a complete departure of what has made the series a success. I am done. I can't stand Lois and watching this middle aged Lois pretend to act in charged and sexy is laughable. The Green Arrow angle, teenager bully-predator turned benefactor feels forced and apparently so does most of the viewers as reflected in the ratings. I am done. I have watched Smallville for over five years and none of the characters are recognizable. The hero loses the girl and then becomes dumber in each episode. The arch villain landing the girl and the girl becoming the victim of the century is not what I can stomach watching anymore.

So what is new for lois & clark. ?

CB11;
IT'S 2007 AND CLARK HAS LOST A LOT IN THE PAST YEAR IT IS TIME FOR THIS SUPER BOY/SUPER MAN TO FIND AND GET THE LOVE HE HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR.
P.S.
Will it be {LOIS} ??? or Will it be {CHLOE} ???

*** EDWARD R.***

This episode has single-handedly managed to restore my faith in Smallville again, after a lacklustre Subterranean. It really paves the way for the next episodes (which based on the spoilers, sound like awesome episodes) and turns around this season. I think we can safely expect much better things from now on.

I initially thought that Hydro was just going to be simply another filler episode with bones to throw at every ship, and a FOTW to boot. I'm glad that I'm totally wrong at all counts.

1. Linda Lake. I like it when a FOTW is used to contribute to the story/characters' developments. In this case, Linda Lake's actions subsequently caused the drama and conflict between the characters. Clark and Chloe, Clark and Lex and Clark and Lana. And by the way, Clark didn't even have to face the FOTW.

2. Chloe! My, I've missed the old Chloe so much. And Chlo-Lo for that matter. Her standing up to Linda is great, and trying to protect Clark's secret. Her scene with Jimmy is so endearingly funny and really cute, checking each other's "battle scars" LOL. Very heartfelt moment between her and Clark, after she told him off. Reminds me of their hug in Splinter.

3. Oliver. What can I say? Your "hiding feelings with sarcasm" comment has come back to haunt you with a full vengeance! LOL I'm really excited waiting for his role in the Justice episode.

4. Lois. She's just so Lois-y here! I'm afraid this comment will become an overblown essay if I'm to list out the reasons why I really love her in this episode. Suffice to say she managed to show all emotions perfectly, especially that part where she's all freaked out when she thinks she's in love with Oliver. The way she's determined to prove that he's the GA. The way she smashed that phone on the dumpster (classic!). The way she's all giddy after the kiss. The way she finally met Jimmy after all this while. ScoopGirl and Hotshot485? LOL!

5. Lana. Like Clark himself, I can only wish her well now. I'm still holding out hope that she's not beyond redemption yet. As for you Lex, it's still hard to tell whether your feelings are truly and absolutely genuine for Lana. For all we know, everything could be just an elaborate plan on your part.

6. Clois. Now as a biased shipper I could just gush on and on about the kiss and the Talon scene, but I won't :) I think they've managed to achieve exactly what they set out to do with the kiss, short but still enough to show Clark's immediate reaction to it, and also by including that Talon scene. I'd say everything regarding Lois would take a different tone with Clark after this.

Also, Lois' and Clark's friendship is very much established now. They've grown so much from their usual verbal sparring back in S4. As shown in Hydro itself, Lois obviously feels very close and trusts Clark enough to confide in her feelings and thoughts to him, and also asking his help to uncover the GA.

7. Jimmy. He's definitely THE Jimmy Olsen here :) Hiding in a car with the locks on and a pepper spray in Suicide Slums, trying to snap photos of GA. Punching a thug and going OW! immediately. His excitement over getting pictures of Leather-Daddy. His correct hunches about Linda Lake. I still find it funny that the pictures he took are the very same pictures that are used for the promo stills of the Clois kiss :D

8. Cinematography. It's so great to see all those wonderful outdoor shots of Metropolis. I especially like how they shot the Chloe and Lana talk scene outside the DP. Also, someone has pointed out that that first shot after the credits showing a rainy night of Metropolis, was actually a Batman Begins stock shot :)

Hydro definitely ranks up there with Zod, Reunion and Fallout as my favourite episodes for this season. Congratulations to everyone involved, and Tom Welling has done a great job on this. He really deserves all the praise about his directing.

I love clark and lana they have the best chemistry ever. The show is about Clarka and Lana anywayz well and Lex but they rock. CLANA rock on!!!

PS. If Lana still have feeling for clark then why marry lex since that you know they cant get married. I dont know at least i hope not.

I didn't care for the Tori Spelling story in this episode at all! I thought the water thing was kind of lame and it reminded me of that Nickelodeon show "The Secret World of Alex Mack." I'm glad we got to see a little bit of the old Lana again and I absolutely loved the scenes with Clark/Lois and Clark/Chloe. Priceless!

boy,all the happiness about lois/clark(jeeez)you think that people already know this things.after all is a 70yr old story(rolling eyes)the episode was(boring)i can see where they are headed with the clois thing,i think i'll jump ship for the rest of the season/next i'm done.don't want to watch something i already KNOW!!!

CLARK KENT HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN LANED!

Haha LOL! That is a wonderful line and very true too!

Hydro is right now number one in my Season 6 best episodes list for the following reasons:

1 )It closed the doors on Clana for the 1,000,000th time and I hope that it never comes back again. All this angst and pain in Clark's life has to end.

2)Erica Durance and Tom Welling's chemistry is the best on the show.

3)All the Clark/Lois scenes were awesome. The loft scenes suddenly get so much bright and happier when you have Lois in them.

4)What's with the "Hmms.." Lois and Clark?

5)I love Justin Hartley.

6) I love Aaron Ashmore more than Justin Hartley. His adorable looks when Lois insulted him in the alley and his punching that guy in the end were hillarious. Please make him a series regular.

7)Lexana is crap. It is destroying Lex Luthor's characterization. Please TPTB end Lexana.

8) Chloe's "Isn't that romantic" line in the talon. Chloe knows the power of Clois now!!!

9) Clark's look after the kiss and then his "Oh God I loved it" smile.

10) Lois's "That Green Arrow, he could teach Ollie a thing or two" and Clark's look.

and the list never ends.. I've been talking to lots of fans even those who aren't die hard fans of Clois have dubbed this as a very good episode and Clois as a break from the angst filled Clana. The writers are on the right track if they are bringing the cannon relationship of Lois and Clark on the show. Both TW and ED have the star power and chemistry to make it successful!

the episode was a good one!!! But I still wish Clark and Lana could be together and I thinks there's still hope for them....and I bet yal anything, it's Clark's baby!! I dont care if they did it a season ago!! It's Clark's baby!!

I loved this episode. I smiled through it the entire time. Clois is getting stronger! Geez, it was fun to see Clark being all smitten!!

Linda Lake was a very nasty character (obviously) and I do think we'll be seeing more of her.

Lana finally pulled up her socks and agreed to marry Lex. Very proud of her. She's finally moving on.

dear lana if you love clark
and lex then marry them both

she played that part but did not like her in this show at all she is like the report that no one wants to at all

CLARK KENT HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN LANED!

Oh yeah loved every second of the clois in this one.It really was a great episode all round except for the Lana indecision thing (god that is old! *snores*) Erica Durance absolutely rocked my socks off as Lois Lane. She's just the greatest!

BRING ON THE CLOIS BABY!

~Lara

Surprisingly, Tori Spelling was fun. In a campy way fun, I mean. We got some great scenes of Chloe standing up to her and a smackdown with facial wounds and all :) Our DP reporter is growing up and taking down some freaks of her own! Best of all was some funny ribbing of Clark in the last scene while EDLois remainded as oblivious as ever.

The mini-fight with Clark was well overdue and the character of Clark actually seemed to be make some progress that fans have been clamouring for from him for ages. He even managed to wish Lana well with Lex. Naturally, it won't last since the epicentre of this show seems to be that Lana is in love with two men and since she can't get Clark, she'll settle for Lex. Ah, yes wonderful waffling Lana, stripping the spines from the male characters since the series began. Because as we all know, this is show is about who loves Lana the most and not the actual story of Superman.

EDLois and GA still have more chemistry than Clark and EDLois ever will. Even in an episode direction by Tom Welling. Dear CW, do something right and give them their show. God knows, we need some light at the end of the tunnel with this regressing of Clark happening as quickly as a barn door falling out of the sky, because as the show has pointed out, this is a show about Lana, not some Superman dude who goes on the be the hero.

I just watched it and i loved it! Honestly, what an amazing episode.

The Clois interactions were amongst the best. Their friendship was established. How they're so comfortable around each other, and know each other and can talk to each other.

Lois was so great. So determined. So funny, and just so...Lois.

Clark's reaction was so well played. It was wondrous. Like he had literally just had a mini-epiphany. And like he couldn't believe he'd actually just enjoyed a kiss...with...Lois! lol!

Chloe was well used in this ep.

Jimmy was good. Him and Lois had a great vibe going, very true to the fun style of some of the comics.

Didn't like the Clexana angle.

Tori Spelling was no better or worse than the avg FOTW. I had no serious probs with her.

All in all, fantastic ep.

Best Chloe episode since Tomb.

The Linda/Chloe A plot was fantastic. Tori was great and had great chemistry with Allison.

the fight scene was fantastic.

The hug was too cute! Clark and Chloe have the best chemistry.

That last chlark pulling lois' leg was great. Lois clueless as always.

Clois & clexana subplot was crap though...

Oh one thing..Oliver is finally growing on me. Hot man..and has great chemistry with Erica D.

It was a good episode but Lana and Lex shouldn't spend this whole season together! It's hurting the show. I can't stand hearing Lex say stuff like "a million dollars for your thoughts". The show turned one of it's coolest characters into a jealous control freak that would do anything to keep Lana as his. Who ever ever wanted to see Lex Luthor the lover ??

I just don't like him now. When he convinced Lana to marry him with that lame speech and then hugged her with that spoiled brat look on his face. It just makes me wish Clark would go on Red K and punch him across the room. But no, the writing is so bad these days that I hear the next time Clark is on Red K that he goes on a kissing spree instead. How lame is that ?

i missed it

I loved this ep. Every part no matter how much it pained me to watch some scenes with other ships.

I think Tom Welling did a great job directing and acting. I love his post-kiss facial expressions.

Absolutely loved the Clois interaction. "I hate that you know me like that."

Just a really good refreshing ep.

The hook-up of Lex and Lana is the biggest turn-off. Smallville has turned into a train wreck. Viewers did not watch this series for five years to watch the hero lose the girl. How does the continuous victimzation of Lana entertaining? The best thing going for Smallville is the chemistry between Tom and Kristin and the writers have no idea how to make use of that. The Lois of Smallville looks a decade older than everyone else. Can a series lose 20% of their viewers and not know that people are turned off by the direction of the series. Shouldn't the writers and producers look at the ratings of past episodes to understand what viewers want?

hey tammy I agree with you, but clark is going to get together with lois.

The episode was really great and entertaining. Tom Welling's direction was really fun to watch & his acting was even more real and wonderful.

The Lex/Clark scene, Clark/Lana scene and Clark/Chloe scenes all were done very well by Tom Welling.

Chloe! When someone "trusts" you with their secret, you don't yell it out, specially when your previous confindential conversation has been printed in the paper verbatim.

Erica Durance was as usual wonderful as Lois Lane. This episode gave her a variety of emotions to play which she did very well. Erica/Tom scenes in this episode were wonderful.

Now, THE CLOIS KISS! It was truly worth the two months wait, looked better than the pictures and the promos and the grin on Clark's face after he took off the glasses was priceless.

The interesting 'juicy' details that Lois provided afterwards were hillarious and hey, I actually *liked* Chloe in that scene. That is the power of Clark and Lois they made even Chloe likeable for me!

The Clark/Lois loft talk about "secrets" and "super hero complex" was wonderful and a huge anvil for the future relationship between them. I simply loved the conversation and the intial "busted" expression of Clark.

I also loved the fact that Lois was so open about the fact that if she loves Oliver, she can live with his deepest darkest secrets. Think Mr. Clark Kent! Think! This is the woman you want in your life!

Lois/Jimmy team rocks!

Justice looks good too. Smallville is great as usual.

I'd like to add that eventhough Tori Spelling vs Chloe rocked that Spelling's performance was awful. Still I wouldn't mind seeing her come back to officially die. Chloe vs Spelling 2 is welcomed.

CLARK AND CHLOE FOREVER! I really liked this episode. The part between clark and chloe really showed me that they would make a great couple. Chloe already knows his secret so y not. I hated the part between clark and lois. i wish that the kiss never happened. clark and lois should never be together. its clark and chloe that would make the best couple. Im glad that Lana accepted Lex's proposal because (1) shes pregnant with his child (2) she doesnt belong with clark (3) she loves him and he loves her. Chloe was great when she was fighting Tori Spelling. It shows that Chloe really knoes how to throw a punch.

I hate that Lex and Lana are together how gay is that. I think CW should not try to copy Superman Me and I bet a whole lot of other people think Clark and Lana should be together.I wish Clark would have stayed with Lana I think that the CW is making a big mistake with Lana and Lex.The reason I started watching Smallville was because of Clark and Lana this sucks now,but I will always love Smallville. Clark and Lana 4-ever

My thoughts on Hydro:

- Tori Spelling should do anything but acting.

- Tom Welling's direction deserves an award. Yes I am totally biased and exaggerating and crazy but I can't help it I am in love with this guy

- Justin Hartley isn't really supposed to look that hot there should be some ban on him looking so hot.

- I love Erica Durance. I am totally and absolutely in love with this girl.

- Lana the queen of cluelessness. Chloe please talk some sense into her.

- Clois, Clois and only Clois. No Chlark, No Clana, step aside everyone! Clark and Lois's time has come that was the hottest and most interesting kiss I've ever seen on Smallville.

- The Clois scene with Chloe was great. Chloe's amusement with the whole 'tricky' situation was really funny. So Ms. Sullivan, the pining really is over? Good for you, now you know your best friend and your cousin belong together!

Hydro gets 10 out of 10 by me :)

First things first, Tom Welling and Erica Durance have AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME chemistry! They are definitely the best incarnation of this iconic couple in recent times!

Tom Welling's direction was tremendous. He has grown much since "Fragile". Amazing job done, Tom Welling, hats off to you!

THE KISS! Wow! I mean, like WOW!! It was totally hot and amazing. The best seven seconds of TV ever! Oh Claire, even if Oliver isn't the jealous type, he will become jealous after this.

Erica Durance is so amazing. I mean she shares this wonderful chemistry with both Tom and Justin (Lucky girl!!). Hydro adds to her list of superhits this season that includes Arrow and Reunion. The scene where she tells Clark she can be comfortable with Ollie's secret was a huge foreshadowing of Clark/Lois in the future and it was amazing.

Clark/Lana, I don't know, I don't like the 'unresolved' status of their relationship. Lana is Clark's best friend and secret keeper in comics, now unless TPTB are planning to give this role permenantly to Chloe, I guess Lana should be ending things with Lex soon.

'The big fight' b/w Clark and Chloe was.. well.. not 'big enough' but it was a good scene. Tom's direction was awesome and he looked beautiful.

When Chloe was insulted by Linda, I kept thinking oh God, if Lois were here, she would simply toast Ms. Lake!! Well, Chloe can take some lessons from her cousin.

All in all, Hydro is definitely one of the best episodes of the season.

I think that last episode was FANTASTIC!!It had everything,BUT LANA and LEX??!!! Come on!!They just don't look right together.I think that the episode would be kind of beter without Tori Spelling. The water power thing was just LAME!I mean, the episode didn't really need her.She acted kind of fake and it looked like... I dont know it was just fake. The episode was GREAT, though!Especially Clark and Lois kiss and Chloe's reaction to it!!! I can tell that this is going to be a great and excitind season!!8-)

Clark and Lana Forever!!!!

Under Tom Welling's direction, EDLois and Green Arrow still prove to have more chemistry than EDLois and Clark ever have. Considering the woeful lack of publicity JUSTICE is getting, I would hope the CW does something right and gives them their own show.

Chloe was fun, the fight scenes was awesomely *real*. None of this silly Super-Lana Kung Fu that hasn't appeared aside from one or two episodes. Forget EDLois, are we seeing the beginning of the bestest-ever-friendship-that-never-was? Her Blahna-ness only needs her best friend when she wants something - like Clark's secret. It can't end soon enough. And yes, Ms Sullivan, the Daily Planet reporter is set to work her way out of the basement and past the likes of the "LL"'s of the newspaper world. Linda Lake, included.

The Chlark fight scene was small, but well-worth it and overdue. I'll take what I can get when Clark stops defending her Holy Highness, Blahna.

Lex, however isn't that lucky. He has to settle for being second best at the Blahna's whim. Someone give Lex Luthor his balls back before Her Blahna-ness has bit by bit for breakfast, lunch and supper. I'm holding out the hope that he's playing her to get the kid. Naturally, Lana will never accept any responsibility of her own and will run to Clark crying with her crocodile tears and asking for his secrets in the same breath. This is just one of many reasons that the Lana Lang Syndrome sends shudders of fears through fans of new shows when new female characters are introduced. I have no doubt, that Lana will soon become the best example of what *NOT* to do in Screenwriting 101.

Clark, bless his soul, actually looked irritated in the 346592745749th Barn Scene. Like I said, I'll take what small favours I can. I think the only way that relationship will ever truly end is when one of them dies. Gee, golly Whiz, did I just spoil the ending?

This episode wasn't supposed to be a turning point and all this situations will drive the second part of the season????

GOOOOO SMALLVILLE if the second half is half good as this episode...this will be a hell of a season

Oh. My. God. I'll give you a standing ovation, CW. AMAZING episode. It had EVERYTHING. Friendship, action, closure, jealously... romance....
First of all, I kinda liked the way Tori portrayed her character. The special effects were pretty good, even though it's kind of a lame power.
When Lana went backwards in time and went all lovey on Clark I rolled my eyes (come on, SO not going there again), but I liked how she accepted Lex's propose, because she recognized Clark's relationship with her is just dead, they have screwed things up and there's no going back.
And when Lana asked him to trust her, I rolled my eyes again, because he He didn't. Even if it doesn't matter now, he didn't trust her. When he went talk to her on the mansion, I think it was pretty clear his intentions weren't telling her his secret.
About Lex, I liked to see his "vulnerable" side. There was one moment when I swear, he almost cried (or pretended to), at the end, when he was waiting for Lana to answer. And I loved how he replied to everything Clark said, because what HE said was kinda mean, but it was nothing but the truth.
Now, Jimmy and Lois's meeting was just... genious!!! Their dynamic is so funny!!! And it was very foreshadowing.
Oliver... well, let's say that sentence about feelings hidden under sarcasm came to bite him in the ass!!!
AMAZING performance of Tom Welling, and not just by his directing. His facial expressions were priceless, and I'm not just talking about THAT one!!!
Chloe... oh, Chloe. She was back. I saw the old Chloe on this episode, not the disturbing and hating one she has become this season. I also loved how she finally told off Clark for laying his anger on her just because she kept someone else's secret, for a change. And I loved how their hug was so friendly. It had nothing on it. No spark, no feelings, just friendship.
AND HER REACTION TO CLARK AND LOIS'S KISS WAS JUST HILARIOUS!!! She smirked amused, she found the whole thing romantic, hilariously complicated and awesome, just like it is! Oh my God, I laughed during that entire scene between the three of them at the Talon. Chloe was soooo giddy and overexcited!!!
But Erica Durance deserves the Oscar for this episode. She was already my favorite Lois Lane, but on this episode, she was just... THE Lois Lane. I loved her guts and her determination, she went after things, tried to set a plan, tried to get proofs that Oliver was Green Arrow before laying it all on him. And Lois breaking her cellphone in a trash can looked SO MUCH like her. I also LOVED how she was all freaking out when she found out she was thinking she was in love with Oliver. It was quite like how I've always imagined her to react in front of a situation like that.
Also, you've gotta love Clark and Lois on this episode. Actually, you've gotta love them on every one, but this episode they were awesome. It's obvious their relationship has been growing up, and not just on THAT way, but their FRIENDSHIP has become stronger. I loved how Lois turned to him to help her get proofs that Oliver was GA. But the second loft scene... that was one big, shiny, heavy and huge anvil falling from the barn's ceiling.
Everything about it was perfect. Lois opening up and telling him that no, she wasn't okay, she wasn't sure if she wanted to know if GA was Oliver because she though she was in love with him. And Clark's reaction to that was definately interesting. The bare smile he had on his face when he had watched her freaking out was definately nowhere to be seen. And the way the music increased when she said that she wouldn't even care if Oliver was from Mars SO gave me the chills. Also loved how Clark said she wouldn't stop until she got to the bottom of it all, and she said "I HATE that you know me like that."
Now, I have one complaint: THAT KISS WAS TOO SHORT!!! But long enough to make us notice Clark was definately into it! The way he tilted his head to the side pretty much said everything. His face when he took off the glasses was just... just... oh, I laughed so hard. And in the Talon, Clark was SO uncomfortable! And Lois was just sooo adorable. She was giggling, she really was. I think that sentence of hers, "Ollie is a good kisser, don't get me wrong... but that Green Arrow... he could teach Ollie a thing or two.", that was one of her best lines, definately.
AMAZING episode, I LOVED it, let's keep them coming.
I almost fainted.

I really enjoyed this episode. It was very entertaining (except the whole Lana indecision and drama, but that's par for the course. She'd be a lot more fun if she turned evil.) I was glad to see Chloe call Lana and Clark on their behaviour. While I love the character (and her amusement in the end scene with Clark and Lois was contagious) but I worry that because she doesn't have much plot purpose, besides Clark’s confidante, on the show, they are making Chloe into Clark's brain. I mean it's a bit sad to see Clark -future Superman- unable to figure anything out without Chloe (and her computer.) It really makes Clark look like he's dumb. I hope that Chloe can forge a bit more of her own identity without it being so tied to Clark and his secret. She deserves more, especially since the likelihood of Chloe and Clark hooking up seems really unlikely. Yes, I do realize that the show will continue to tease the audience to ensure the Chlark fan base but I find it hard to imagine Clark and Chloe as anything other than best friends. Could you imagine? talk about awkward: your cousin marries your ex-boyfriend? I doubt it. But it was nice to see Chloe deal with the FOTW on her own (with some help from Lana.)

I thought Lois was great in this episode, she embodied all the Lois qualities we expect (and the cell phone call was classic Lois Lane.) I know some people dislike her, but I for one, am glad to see a strong, tough-talking heroine on the show. I’m glad the writers are starting to develop the Lois and Clark dynamic into a stronger friendship. It helps set the stage for one of the greatest superhero love stories. I also really enjoyed the Lois and Jimmy scenes, very reminiscent of Superman canon.

I really liked the addition of Green Arrow. It was nice to see Clark have a male friend to interact with, especially if it pushes him more towards his destiny. I'm going to miss Ollie.

And Lana? Well I think she is just too whiney. Watching her waffle all over the place is frustrating. I think she'd be a lot more interesting if she turned all manipulative and evil, man, Lex wouldn't stand a chance!

It was nice to see Clark doing more than brooding. Clark had some great facial expressions in this episode. Too funny. I hope to see more character growth and I think his goodbye to Lana was a great start. It’s time he starts moving forward and his relationship with Lana just seemed to bring him unhappiness. Maybe less time obsessing over Lana will allow him to start thinking about journalism.

And Tom did a great job directing, a lot of great frames and shots.

Anyway here's to hoping the rest of the season progresses in the direction Hydro seems to suggest. It has me excited to watch all the characters moving forward, instead of backwards.

I enjoyed it.

I loved that we finally saw some Lois and Jimmy interaction, and they certainly did not disappoint. They remind me so much of their future counterparts, I just couldn't stop smiling all through their first meeting.

The subplot with Lois, Ollie and Clark with a dash of Chloe was not only touching (especially with Lois) but a riot (especially with Chloe). Right on!

It was a good episode but it was sad, why did Lana have to get pregnant? Why did Clark let her go again?
I think it is a sign she is not supposed to be with Lex because he went for her right away after Clark let her go, why did she go with Lex anyways? I mean his dad just died he is depressed!
And Lana would say to Clark yes right away if he proposed, Lex is evil, and why can't Clark be the "Daddy" I am so complaining! I mean, she says she put him in her past, then she said he was in her life... and now he is in her past again...?!
Smallville has already changed so much stuff from the original movies and comics, so why can't they change the fact that Lois and Clark are together, they made us excited to see them back together again possibly( Clark and Lana)... and in the the latest super man movie, Clark and Lois aren't together, so with that said, why waste his time with Lois Lana and Clark are meant to be, why did they make uds go through that if they aren't going to be together?
It is stupid, if she makes up her mind and she did but she should change her mind... she should go for Clark.

I know Tori is getting a lot of flack, but I gotta say I thought she was hilarious. The face she made when she said "Sullivan" - genius.

Chloe and Jimmy were adorable as always - and it was nice to see some of the cousins' camaraderie coming back.

The highlight was the Clark and Lois kiss. Both of their reactions were priceless. I really hope this is a turning point for Clark.

The only real downside was the return of the Lana/Clark drama. Lana's sudden feelings were completely unfounded. After everything she believes Clark has done to her...these lingering feelings feel like a contrivance.

When will the writers realize that the show doesn't need the will they/won't they drama of a couple we all know eventually WON'T in order to be successful?

More Clark and the Justice League. More Lois/Clark. More fun w/ cousins.

I loved that episode. The Tori Spelling/Chloe fight was great. But why can't Clark actually have fights that long and entertaining. His fight scenes aren't as good as they could be.

The look on Clark's face was great after he kissed Lois. I loved how Chloe teased him about it too. Chloe should never die. I'm saying that now because people we actually like on the show eitehr die or leave. I'm talking about Jonathan Kent and Pete of course.

Lana showed that she's really some confused idiot in this episode though. She tells Lex that she doesn't know if she could marry me him due to feelings for Clark still. Then he gives that bull crap speach and she's like "ok I'll marry you". What an idiot, she obviously has no clue what she wants. Please when you want to kill someone off again, make it her. People actually like Chloe and she adds charm and humor to the show. Without her, it would be nothing but a show with depressed whiney people. So never ever ever kill her!

OMG AWESOME! Started out kind of slow, in my opinion, but the clois SOOO made up for it! That was the highlight of the episode. Now only if every episode was like this. BRING ON CRIMSON!

The episode was okay. I hated the fact that Lex got Lana. Clark will ALWAYS love lana, and so she was supposed to belong to me. Ended up that they were both hurt and Lana saying yes made me mad. CLARK AND LANA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

This episode rocked. TW did a very good job in this episode. All the actor interactions in this episode flowed seamlessly.
I loved the Lois/Jimmy meeting. They both were fun to watch. Lois and Oliver scenes were fun - when Lois suspected Oliver was GA and when Oliver asked "did you call him Oliver". All Lois and Clark scenes were good and there were quite a few anvils. Clark's reaction to the kiss was priceless. Lois/Clark/Chloe scene at the talon was awesome. Clark and Lana scenes were emotional and was executed well.

This was an awesome episode, except Tori Spelling. She was boring and stupid. Lana need to make up her mind. If Clark doesn't want to tell her his secret, she needs to respect that and move on. The Clark/Lois Green Arrow thing WOW That was amazing. I am glad that that happened, especially when Lois was explaining how she liked very much the Kiss that supposedly was the Green Arrow but actually was Clark. Maybe finally we can see some sparks with Clark and Lois, because anyways, theya re suppose to be together, at least when he is Superman.

Hydro was a wonderfully fun episode!

Oh you guys! The idea of Linda Lake crashing the Lexana wedding is HILARIOUS!!! I actually love that idea!

My Chloe love has returned full force! I'm excited to see how she holds up the female end in Justice and even what she'll do in later episodes. I'm hoping Chloe continues to shine as she did in Hydro and eases my Lois withdrawal.

Chlark FRIENDSHIP is stronger than EVER! She stood up to him, as much as can be expected, about how tough it is to keep the secret, which resulted in that yummy hug... Now they don't even have to worry about the GA secret standing between them, Chloe figured it out! I'm so excited to see Justice now! And I'm so in love with Chloe right now!

As far as Chlark romance goes finally is seems that Chloe is OVER HIM! Yippee! The first scene with Lana, where Chloe SUGGESTS that Lana is not over Clark... there is NO Season 5 angst or hesitation or sad looks. She's over him! AND if I had any doubts about it after that scene and the following Chloe/Lana scenes in which she continually encourages a Clana meeting/discussion session... The Chloe/Lois/Clark scene would have removed all doubt. Granted, half of Chloe's jubilation is b/c she's in on the Superhero Fraternity as she's dubbed it (giggle), but she's really ENJOYING teasing Clark with Lois' GA sweeping romance moment. As we saw in Devoted during Season 4... as much as she loves both Lois and Clark, she would not be ENJOYING this situation if she weren't over Clark.

As for the Clois it was mostly friendship on a level that I'd never seen before and was delighted to see. It made the progression from Rage where it seems that Clark lending a hand was a bit of a nuisance for Lois... Now she goes to Clark with her problems. They have an easy comfortable chemistry with one another as friends. There was still a little snarkiness from Clark and a little banter from Lois but none of it really had a sting. The kiss and the fact that both Clark and Lois enjoyed it was a lot of fun. And it plants the seed that there is a sexual attraction between the two. So if later episodes explore this a little more it won't be out of the blue.

The Superman winks/nods were wonderful. Lois' comment about accepting the guy she loves even if he was from Mars... Clark's proudness at the end: Knowing that Lois enjoys kissing him while she is left clueless. And even the whole Clark as GA scene, coming to Lois and Jimmy's rescue in disguise. GREAT!

The Clana broke new ground, with a very touching Loft scene where Clark decides to get some perspective. The Lexana scenes were really emotionally charged also...

I loved the fact that Chloe takes on the FOTW with Clark nowhere in sight and Lana as her sidekick. From the beginning they set up the episode as FOTW against Chloe. It gives Allison a really wonderful chance to shine, and she does of course. And Chloe gets to fight.

Tori Spelling was delightfully horrible and tacky and just perfect as Linda Lake.

I enjoyed the Chimmy.

I loved Hydro! Delightful!

Tori Spelling sucked as Water whatever she was. Her running scenes was those of the slowest ruuning chicks in a horror flick. She was slow and not that good of an actress as a supervillian. She should stick to 90210 type shows, she wasn't too good on that show as well.

The episode was really entertaining. But the villain was a little boring. It's obvious that we haven't seen the last of her but turning into water, that's a weak superpower. Other than that the kiss that Clark and Lois shared was really hot. It's good that Lois doesn't suspect Oliver anymore. My favorite part was at the end when Lois confessed to actually enjoying the "Green Arrow's" kiss. Clark's expression was priceless and I think he will start to think differently about Lois. It was very exciting!! I can't wait for the next episodes where all of the superheros get together. But one thing that is bothering me is how is Aquaman going to react to Lois being Oliver's girlfriend...that should be interesting!!?

Okey that was the best episode EAVVVAAAHHHH!!!!!! Go Clois....Erica was in her best in this episode ...the Jimmy/Lois AMAZINGGG...CANNOONNNN!!!!!! The Clois kiss UNBELIEVEBLE...CANNNOOONNN....BRING IT CRIMSON ALREADY...

Tom Welling knows what's his doing he is an OUSTTANDING director...well shoot TW well shoot!!!!

i watched the ''hydro'' episode which i thought was preety good, especially watching tori spelling become a villian. anyway, smallville is a good show and i am a big fan. the show should introduce more characters(superheroes) as well as villians. not to much, though. at the end of the hydro episode,it showed an animated origin of grren arrow. where can i watch this.let me know as soon as possible.

I LOVED last nights episode...especially Chloe's reaction to Clarks kiss with Lois (which was really hot, and you can definatly tell Clark also enjoyed it). I think the whole water super power was lame though! You can see the begining of Lanas character becomeing evil...I can tell this is gonna be a GREAT season...so when is Lois and CLarks next make out session?

HYDRO WAS A AMAZING EPISODE. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE ALL THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS. CHLOE WAS ON FIRE, SHE REALLY SHOWED TO WHAT LENGTHS SHE WILL GO TO IN ORDER TO PROTECT CLARK. CLARK SHOULD WAKE UP AND REALIZE CHLOE IS FOR HIM.
