Beauty and the Geek: Season Finale With a Twist
Oh, delicious, delicious just desserts – how we adore you. Cecille got what was coming to her, and we derived indecent satisfaction from watching her squirm.
The thing is, in another reality show – Survivor or Big Brother, say – she would have won, and she would have deserved it. Those shows are all about outwitting your opponents, manipulating circumstances to favor your position, bending people to your will. And Cecille did that. She came in to win, so she ran roughshod over everyone.
But Beauty and the Geek is different –it’s all about the experience, all about how much each person changed. It was about reconsidering your preconceptions about people. That’s why, say, Pi and Sheree got booted, because Pi seemed incapable for seeing a woman as anything other than a Beauty (or a pair of boobs). Cecille was the female equivalent of Pi, but because she was teamed with Nate, she didn’t get thrown out on her ass in an earlier round. In a weird sort of way, wanting to win, expecting to win, means she didn’t deserve to win. Oooh, deep.
So we loved that they brought back the eliminated competitors to judge how much the teams had changed. And we loved even more that Nate actively campaigned against his own team, because even he saw that Cecille didn’t get the whole point of the exercise. And are we the only ones absolutely salivating for the reunion show next week? We hope Nate brings a bodyguard, because Cecille is going to want to rip his throat out when she realizes what he did.
We actually almost started feeling a little sorry for Cecille. But then she reminded us why we hated her, with her giving Megan the cold shoulder even though Megan has been her best friend in the house. And Megan and Scooter had both transformed more than Nate. Remember poor Scooter cowering in the dark like a frightened field mouse when Cecille pounced on him in the first episode? Now he’s able to stand up to Cecille, say what he thinks, and not back down. And Megan has certainly gotten more comfortable giving up vanity and getting stuck into tasks. She may not have had the most dramatic transformation of the beauties, but she still changed for the better. Cecille? Not so much.
We have to admit, we were a little disappointed that Nate and Cecille got any votes at all – and that Jennylee was actively campaigning for them. Jennylee, you saw yourself how Cecille missed the whole point of the game with her little bikini speech last week. We know you wanted your boyfriend to win, but come on. As for Matt … poor, deluded Matt. Dude, she treated you like a toy and called you a rodent. We’re glad that the attention Cecille paid you gave you some confidence, but when you get a little more confidence, maybe you’ll realize that Cecille didn’t give a damn about your personal growth – she just was bored and wanted something to play with.
Since we’ve been so down on Cecille’s out-of-nowhere speech at the elimination last week, we probably should disapprove of Sheree’s fake-out at the end. She was having way too much fun giving Cecille hope, and then stomping on it right in front of her. But since Cecille was so virulently nasty about Sheree, we really can’t blame her. What can we say – schadenfreude is one of our weaknesses. Can you blame us?

CiCi reminded me of nothing more than an Anna Nicole wanna be. Even Anna Nicole had more class though. CiCi was lower than low.

How did the producers humiliate cece? i didnt watch the last 2 episodes :[ what happened? was she going to win? did nate get any money at the end? congrats to megan and scooter. they both were cool!

I missed the last final show. I live in Holland, the final was on monday 19 august. But, did Nate said dont vote for us?

Im Also Happy Megan & Scooter won...WooHoo...Nate deserved to win too...He just had a Crappy partner...Poor Him. The reunion show was suppose to air last night But didn't. I missed who it was that got married?? If someone knows.....Please do tell

Seema, CC is the one who humiliated herself, the producers only gave her the opportunity to change. You know, gave her enough rope to hang herself.
I would point a finger at who ever got her to audition for the show as the one who set her up. Ha. And she probably thought that person was a friend. :)
Anyway I love this show. Keep up the good work. From a girl-geek that wishes the had a "Hunk and the Geeket" show.

I knew from the start that Cecille didn't deserve to win. NOW make that "pouty" expression and see what you get, haha! NOTHING!
I agree with Sarah 100% about Jennylee and Matt. I'm very happy that Megan and Scooter won this season's Beauty and the Geek!

Normally, I hate these kinds of shows, but this one was interesting. It made me a bit angry to see how some of the girls treated the "geeks" and each other, but you get kind of hooked into it. It wasn't hard to hate Cecille. She made sure of that. As the end crept closer and closer, I got more and more angry at the mere thought of her winning without even thinking something was wrong with her behavior towards people.
Then the season finale...
The MOMENT they announce (and showed) that their judges would be all the failed contestants, I about died. The look on her face and the angry that her actions were coming back to haunt her was amazing. Then when Nate flat out said DON'T VOTE FOR US, I just loved it. This. Was. Amazing.

I am so glad to see that Scooter and Meghan won.
For once on TV, character shinned through!
First, this is not a game show, or a beauty pagent.
It is designed to be a life changing event.
I hope that someday CeeCee will have to own up to her own actions and actually be held accountable for her behavior. I do wish that Nate could have stood up to her and shared that he felt that their team should not win, but, because he didn't it makes what he did seem really underhanded (A taste of CeeCee's own medicine) however, it makes him look bad.

Okay I didn't watch all the episodes, so all I can comment on is the last one. I agree with who won from what I did see. I would have liked Nate to win but not CeCille, but I know that couldn't have happened. I agree with what Nate did, because it was obvious that Cecille didn't change at all. JennyLee stayed loyal to Nate, and that is good to see that, two people that are from two very different worlds can end up like those two did. All in all I am glad Scooter and Megan won over Cecille. Nate did the right thing.

ii think that Niels & Jennylee should have won but that went out in the last show. but i am SOOOO glad that cecile didnt win!! she was sooo rude and a minipulator. she wasnt even pretty and she thought it was all about her!! but really,it wasnt!

I am so glad that the producers brought back the competitors to vote. Cecille didn't deserve to win. She was so rude to everyone and admitted that she was only there for the money and had no plan to change or learn a new way of life. I feel sorry for Nate that he got stuck with Cecille, he was so nice. Although every one was nice except Cecille, so I think who ever won would have deserved it except, you know who. I hope things work out for Nate and Jenny-Lee.

Yeah, I sort of felt that way too. I liked Megan and Scooter, but if they had been up against anyone but Cecille, I don't think they would have deserved to win quite so much. And I do have to wonder if the producers pulled the "jury of your peers" thing out at the last minute just to ensure that Cecille wouldn't win.

The ending was great! I loved how Sheree did that fake-out to Cici because Cici was such a ***** saying those nasty things about Sheree behind her back for no reason! Cici got what she deserved and I hope that she learns from watching the episodes but i doubt she will. She is such a disgusting human being.
Even though I initially wanted Nadia and Mario to win I was happy for Scooter and Megan; they definitely deserved the money too. I felt bad for Nate but hey he has Jenny-Lee now so it's all good!

Can't say I ever met a more deserving person, though. I guess now Cecille can move on in her life and marry 5 or 6 men sequentially and make each one miserable.
I can't imagine the prizemoney was much inducement to any of the geeks. The income potential of any of these guys must be much higher than the $75k the winner will walk away with after splitting with their Beauty and taxes, etc.
The ending of Beauty and the Geek was sort of like our political elections. It wasn't so much voting for someone as it was voting against someone.
