More Michael Rosenbaum!

Michael Rosenbaum
As all you Smallville fanatics know, tonight is 'Freak,' Michael Rosenbaum's directorial debut. We're glad MR is getting so much notice. He's our fave guy on the show. He's smart, he's funny and he's turning out to be quite the vicious villain... Hot!

It turns out Kristin at E! loves him too. (Great minds think alike, eh?) Here's her revealing interview with Mike. He spills the beans on how much longer he'll stay with the series, his hopes to jump into more films and - of course - Lexana.

Also, check out some video of MR and the rest of the cast on our Smallville homepage!

Will Clark Ever Get His Job As A Reporter For The Daily Planet?

Any ep that focuses on the core four--Clark, Chloe, Lex and even Lana(despite my hate for her she was good in a ep where she had purpose--other than being some object of desire)--is a good ep.

The chlark was sweet and the intensity of the Chloe and Clark scenes were awesome...And yay for evol Lex at the end!

I just hope they dont make Chloe a freak because that would just seem like a lame cop out...

And did I mention yay!no Nois? YAY!

Great job Micheal on directing!

Freak was quite the directorial debut for Michael. He did a truly fantastic job.

I hope this storyline is continued, although I would not like to see Chloe as a freak. Chloe is perhaps the best character on the show and does not need to be made into a freak to become more interesting. She is a strong female character, an amazing role model.

Allison Mack performance was wonderful and Micheal's directing deserves many kudos.

Lex is my fave character on the show and I can't wait until Lexana breaks up and he gets to be a full-on bad boy!

And those interviews with Michael Rosenbaum are adorable.

All the interactions/scences with all the main characters were just tremendous. This is where Smallville needs to go. The scenes with Clark and Chloe took the story back to the people that viewers want to watch. The scenes between Clark and Lana were so poignant that they will drive the story forward. The closeup of Lex and his insanity will take the season's finale to where it should go....Lex-Clark-Lana-Chloe and the intersection/conflict of all their relationships. This is very good writing, more complex and more character driven. Keep this up Smallville!!!!

Great episode! And it scored high ratings. So much for Clana bringing the ratings. I think it's time for AlMiles to realize nobody likes Clana.

This is not the second higest ratings wise. Its on par with the rest of the episodes

Great episode. Finally a Chloe centric episode and i'm happy with the result.
But i don't want to see Chloe as a freak, hope that in Progeny this is all cleared up and we see that Chloe is normal.
That Chlark scene was perfect, Clark conforting Chloe..so cute. :)

Yes, Lex was scary, love him!!

And MR did a great job.

And AGAIN a Chloe centric episode had GREAT ratings. Just behind "Justice". It's time for CW show Allison some love, because she is one if not the favorite character of this show for most of the fans that watch it.

Love that he directed the second highest rated episode this season, especailly coming off the heals of a Lana centric episode. Though given the subject was Chloe, I would expect the rating to reflect audience opinion, and that is Chloe draws us like moths to a flame, and twists are the way to go. Hopefully the CW will learn a little from this. TWISTS draw us in, so just keep them coming.

There are so words to express how great this episode was. One of the best this season. Hell I say the entire series.

And the numbers prove that. 5 million for a Chloe-centric episode. You see that AlMiles. No one wants the Clana anymore as with the 4.7 that watched Trepass last week.

The Chlark was to die for. That relationship is the most trusting, caring one of the whole show. The Chlark is where it's at. No other relationship past or future matches up to the warmth that is those two together.

Oh and the Climmy as got to go.

Relationship doesn't work when he's constantly possessive over Chloe and getting annoyed with the Chlark.

When you say that MR is "our fave guy on the show", may I ask who do you mean by "our"? And isn't that a little disrespectful to other actors on the show, particularly when the comment is posted on a CW official blog?

Btw my, and a lot of other people, fave guy on the show in Tom Welling, by far! I guess we too can say that here.

this was a great episode kudos to "Sexy Lexy"

Fantastic Episode and I'm so glad it got such AWESOME RATINGS! Chloe was amazing in the episode. It was very intense and AM sold it. The Chloe-Clark stuff was gold as usual. Michael Rosenbaum did a great job directing. I liked the performances he got out of the actors and he set up their scenes really nicely. The Talon scene where Clark uses his heat vision to penetrate Chloe's skin and extract the gps device was very tense. Allison Mack and Tom Welling really sold that scene completely and that last sweet scene at the Daily Planet was very touching.

The plot was good. The dialogue was a bit clunky, but actors gave great performances and managed to pull off even some of the more lame lines.

An excellent Chloe-centric episode. I can't wait to see what happens with her storyline. She's the reason I watch.

Kudos to Michael Rosenbaums's Directorial Debut! Fantastic episode!

Allison Mack really did shine in "Freak"! She is one of the best actresses on TV and her acting talent just beams through the screen.

The heat vision scene was as good as it was because of Allison and I'm REALLY impressed with that.

Can't wait to see what's in store for Chloe and look forward to the possible Chloe vs. Lex scenario that was hinted at the end of the episode :)
Lex better watch out...don't mess with Chloe Sullivan, especially, when she's got her "own personal bomb squad" :)

After a couple of craptastic episodes, SV finally delivered a GREAT one in "Freak".

Loved the episode. Michael did great his first time! I expect no less from him! The lighting was beautiful & the camera focus on Clark's touching of Chloe was...well touching.

A bit too much Lana for a Chloe episode though. I can't watch a Chloe-episode w/o having Lana shooved down my throat?

Allison & Tom ROCKED! Allison was awesome in evoking Chloe's desperation to get the device out of her body & Tom was great with Clark's hesitance. Was it just me or did that scene seem sexy? with the pulling of the blouse to expose the shoulder and the "do it"? Just me? yeah I guess I'm a freak too.

The last DP scene between Chlark had me CRYING. These two are so awesome together, I want a Clark & Chloe show! chlark=love, for reals.

Jimmy is cool, but stay away from my Chlark :/ & please let Chimmy end soon...

Now for the is Chloe a freak? I say, NO. But that may just be my wishful thinking. I'm thinking somehow Tobias got Chloe and Clark confused. I just can't believe Chloe is infected and her powers haven't showed up in 18 years. Sure she said the WoW says some have had latent powers BUT that is a retcon. We haven't seen one freak w/a latent power.

I think Lana is a freak & not in the bed kind a way.

All the actors looked beautiful. Tom and Allison, especially. My brother kept bugging me with "Chloe's hot" comments...Mikey brought the chloevage back. He needs to direct more.

Great episode, but Chloe better not be a freak.

GREST episode. Michael did a great job! I love how the four central characters interact. This is Smallville at its best with the emphasis on Clark-Lana-Chloe-Lex. Back to the basic-basic. Lex going EVIL. "Swear on the soul of his unborn child"...great line. Twisted SOB, now it is time to make LEX brighter, he is supposed to be an insane genius. More of the four main characters!!!! The show should end next season with Lex going insane, over the top evil. Clark should be smarter, stand up like a man and tell the girl you loved since you were five years old the truth. Lana should be tougher, pointing the gun and threatening to kill the guy in this episode is a good start and Chloe becoming more vulnerable and possibly losing her mind adds so much more to this series.

just a short message for Director Rosenbaum:

KILL THAT JIMMY OLSON LOVING FREAK NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Chloe really is a Freak now. And Jimmy, no he ain't no freak himself, but he is the most lack luster supporting character ever devised. Way to go Chloe, you sure can pick em. Now you're offically not good enough for the big dumb alien. All the people in the world, and the writters have to shack her up with Jimmy. And I thought Clark was the idiot of this show. Silly me.
