I beleive there should at least be a season 8. It only makes sense for the fans who have been dedicated for the past 7 years to see the only logical outcome for the series. Rory needs to become pregnant and have a baby girl, named Lorilei! It only makes sense that this would be the ending moment, to have closure for the whole context behind the show in the first place. In a perfect scenerio Jess and Rory would have the baby and Luke and Lorilei would also be together. To end it in any other way would not only be disappointing, but also an insult to the show itself.

I love Gilmore Girls. I think there should be a season 8 and possibly a season 9 to wrap things up. Lor and Luke belongs together but Luke really needs to step up to the plate. The love connection is really there but he is always one step behind Lor. What's up with Rory and Logan? Also what is the story line with that cute guy who was lecturing in Richard's place after his heart-a-tack. I think something should come of that. The rest of the show is unfolding perfectly...Please allow at least another 2 seasons... Thanks!!!!

Gilmore girls absolutely NEEDS an 8th season. And Chris has to stay out of the picture! I hate him! Lorelai belongs with Luke!! When I first started watching the show, the first thing I thought was "Luke and Lorelai are perfect together!" . And as for Rory and Logan, I am sick to death of Logan. Hes a great character and hot as heck, but Rory needs a new man! and she needs to be out pursuing her dream to be a journalist!!

luke & lor are gonna be together eventally. thank gawd for that. rory i think needs to end up on her own, going to new york, starting her life as a journalist, thats how she wanted it to be. i think the whole idea of an 8th season basin on lor & luke and a few or rory is a good idea. but if rory totally doesn't come back the gotta cut it short. maybe she'll just show up for a few more friday night dinners. ha! does anybody know where i can download clips of episodes or full episodes from back in the day. I HATE CHRIS!! why did you even bring him back into the picture?!?! he doesnt deserve attention and ever since the wedding renewal thing lorelai should have just cut him out of her life! Every time he comes back he ruins everthing! And every time people see him w/ Lorelai you can just tell lorelai doesnt even love him. Luke and Lorelai have belonged together since the show started. If Chris hadn't ever come back into the picture this would have never happened. and i don't know why im overreacting, its just a tv show but Luke and Lorelai Belong together, its a good thing she loves him and will sing to him, I will always love you. There needs to be a season 8 Luke and Lorelai belong together, i hate Lor+Chris it stinks, Lorelai and Luke need to get married and have a kid, and as for Rory and Logan they need to be together they are perfect for each other and they need to get engaged and Rory should start her career as a journalist!
Gilmore Girls needs at least one more season, but I want more than that gilmore Girls is the best show ever!

i always thought she belonged w/ Luke, exept for some episodes in the early seasons, but that was so long ago ok?! Luke needs to stop sulking around, and Chris needs to shut up and go away. The 6th and 7th season are making Lorelei all depressed. I miss her old witt and cheerfulness, now she's a lump on a log. what happened? Chris and Lorelei USED to have a good chemistry, but he kept on messing iit up. Lorelei and Luke will always belong together, but he needs to fix up his act. i agree w/ those who stated that he didn't handle the April situation well, and their communication (Luke and Lorelei's) was in the tolit. As for Rory and Logan? WEEEELL.....prolly not. i know, i know, they are sweet. but what happened to the chemistry? it was once there, but now...hmmmm. and what ever happened to marty? he was loving, not some guy who thinks everything will be perfect again if he spends a chunk of his money, no sir. he's just like chris, no maturity. also, it came to a shock to me when i found out that there are new writers! i just thoght that the old ones were somehow going crazy......;)

I would love for there to be an 8th season, there are so many unresolved issues concerning Loralei & Luke as well as Rory & Logan.

Christopher needs to step out of the picture & allow Loralei & Luke to be together. Christopher may love Loralei but he's selfish and only wants to be with Loralei because he thinks she wants someone with money to take care of her. All Loralei wants is love!

Rory & Logan belong together; no Logan is not perfect but he could be so much worse. They are young but they can work through so much of their problems & have a wonderful life as a couple.

I would be so uppset if luke and loralei didn't get back together and keep rory with logan he is not perfect but is anyone really? ughh...there has to be an 8th season. there is no good reason to stop it now!

I think there definately needs to be a season 8. If the show doesn't end with Luke and Lorelei together, it will have been a wasted 7 seasons. There's not enough time left in this season to realistically get L&L back together. We NEED another season so all of the story lines can wrap up believably. It wouldn't even have to be a whole season 8, since half of the season is filled with reruns anyway. We just need enough episodes to allow the show to go out with style and be believable enough to make all the fans happy.

This season sucked. I'm sorry but I was hoping for more Lorelai/Luke interaction and if Christopher and Lorelai get back together, it will be very unrealistic. After their peaceful yet emotional breakup with Lorelai saying, "You're the man I want to want," you can't revive anything. Please forget L&C, come to your senses, and realize it should be L&L. You know deep down that it's them who belong with eachother!

We suffered through enough of Chris and Lorelei this season. PLEASE do not put them back together. They have no chemistry and is embarrrassing how weak Lorelei was when she was involved with him.

i actually WANT lorelai and chris together. the jealousy thing is stupid, but i got so tired of luke dancing around the idea of marriage. it took fighting with chris to make up his mind??!! that was stupid

If Luke and Lorelai get back to together, the show is over for me. I mean, he dissed her so many times! Has she forgotten how he blocked her completely from his life when April cruised in? I was in the exact situation a couple of years ago, and I am sorry but if you find something like this out, you don't cast your soulmate aside- evenif a year later "things change". Guess what- they never don't! And Christopher is the one "Lorelai wants to want". Let her want him for real this time. No rebounds, no loneliness, and no pushing from his side. And definately no pregnancy scare- can you imagine, Rory part deux?

This show should end with unresolved questions in this season...due to the complexity of all the issues. Well, I think that Gilmore Girls needs to have one more season and only one........for these reasons. 1.) Lorelai and Christopher have to go through a messy divorce but this doesn't have to be shown on television. Some how we can see different scenes where Lorelai and Christopher are in the court room but we can't see what happens. OR We can find out that they weren't legally married. That might be cool. 2.) Luke & Lorelai have to end up together and married...Luke proposing this time. 3.) Rory and Logan's relationship needs to end. That boy is bad news...Rory should end her career at Yale successfully. 4.) Paris should be the valedictorian at Yale. 5.) Rory should NOT get the job at the New York Times but should get a job closer to Stars Hollow...one of three things should happen 1.) She gets a job at a big town (but not NY) newspaper. 2.) She should go to graduate school because she can't find a job with just her Bachelor's because the competition is too fierce. #3 Rory should make more friends and some guy friends who are not love interests....but should have a glimmer of hope of a future with one of them down the road.

Just when I think the writers are finally catching on.... w/e kill it why don't you? the writers suck so much for putting lor and luke back together.... period the end. i do think that lorelai needs time to herself for a while... after that though, she should end up with luke... that's the way it was always supposed to end up. it was always luke from the beginning. it just took time for it to fall into place and they both needed to grow. the end of the show will be perfect... get them married already... geez.... lol

Reading that paragraph pretty much ruined the rest of my night. Lorelai and Christopher dating again?!!? Golly, what is wrong with these people! Don't they realize that NO ONE wants them together? And what on earth will I do without my beloved Gilmore Girls every Tuesday night?!!? Huh?!?

Christopher and Loralei don't have a great chemistry. Luke and Loralei have a great chemistry, they belong together, we all know we can see that, when they run into each other they're eyes just lit up when they see each other, they definetly belong together. Please don't bring Christopher back into Loralei life he will make her miserable.

If Lorelai and Christopher end up getting back together and *staying* together (*staying* being the operative word here), it will be the most unrealistic, aggravating, unfulfilling, disappointing, conclusion to what *should* be......Perhaps at one time it would have been the happy ending to the fairy tale (once upon a time in town in Connecticut, long long ago....like when they found out that they were going to have a baby)....but not any longer. Their lives just don't mesh any longer. They have totally different values, interests,totally different roads in life. I've yet to hear them have even one intelligent conversation about an important subject that didn't have to do with Chris wanting something and ending up getting it like an 8 year old. Whereas, Lorelai and Luke have basically discussed everything adults should discuss, and in an adult manner. Christopher's world revolves around Christopher, what Christopher wants, what he gets, how he gets it and what he does with it once he has it. Pretty sad. Lorelai's world revolves around Rory, The Dragonfly and the quirky, wonderful people she has grown to love in Stars Hallow. And yes...she even loves her Mother (in her own special way, which, if we're lucky, we will eventually see Emily finally realize)....but I digress. Luke and Lorelai were always meant to be together from that first day she walked into the diner demanding coffee and giving him his horoscope (which he so lovingly kept in his wallet for 8 years while watching her go through a string of relationships and just waiting for HIS time.. Lorelai was right when she told Luke that she was his "Ava Gardner. You've been pining for me"...but he'd never admit it. Don't take that away from them now! Or ever! Christopher lives in a world of delusion where what Christopher wants Christopher gets. Luke lives in a world where he works hard to get what he wants and rarely gets it but never complains that it passed him by. He waits for the proper openings to get the things he pines for, and hopefully we'll see that again....soon! Even his divorce didn't cause him major trauma. He knew the marriage was a mistake from the first, but it seemed right at the moment...on the high seas....romance...not to be alone for the rest of his life...to have a partner to love and grow with. But still a mistake. Christopher's mistakes (much like Logan's, whose entire outlook on life is another essay entirely) are too numerous to count. Christopher has no idea what it means to be a parent or a husband. He is so needy in that department that it runs the gamut from comedy to tears. Everything he learned about being a parent he literally learned from Lorelai (and NOT with the child they had together...that's the rub)!
Lorelai married Christopher in a fairy tale setting at a moment's whim, much like Luke did. The only difference is that Lorelai married Christopher on the rebound from Luke. For Luke, marrying *anyone at anytime* would have been on the rebound from Lorelai even if they had never been on one single date. Her planning for the wedding to Luke was precise and perfect (even if it was done all within an hour's time..which, if you think about it just might have been the magic of it all...it was spontaneous YET with deep feeling. How often does one walk into a bridal shop and see "the perfect dress" before even thinking about what the wedding plans will be? That was totally magical..and then came the doubts...the dress..something about the dress...It was as if she knew it wasn't going to happen. Even Christopher knows that Lorelai's heart is still with Luke (he's mentioned it and she hasn't protested). The letter Lorelai wrote about Luke for his custody hearing was literally a love letter about the man who *was there* for her and her daughter during red letter days in their lives, and a few black letter days, too. Love isn't a fairy tale. It's hard work and both Luke and Lorelai know and acknowledge that fact. Christopher just thinks it's coming to him *just because.....* Sorry, Chris. Too much, too little, too late. You did 2 really good things in the life we know about (thanks to the writers) ...you paid for Rory's college education and you tried to change and learn to be a better parent to Gigi. You get kudos for that, but it does not make you perfect and it certainly doesn't make you worthy of and perfect for Lorelai. You may have been her Mr. Right Now at a few points in her life, but Luke is her Mr Right Forever now.
Sure, sure...I know. It's just a TV show. I'm surprised I'm even writing this...but this show is my "guilty pleasure"(especially since I'm a single Mom and can relate) and this ridiculous marriage has really gone against the grain of the history of the show. Only 2 people ever thought Chris was right for Lorelai. Chris, himself and Emily. Two people who live in their own little corner(s) of their own little world and are so self-indulgent and self-absorbed that they see only what they want to see, not what's really going on in front of them. Somehow it works for Emily (basically because of Kelly Bishop's terrific portrayal..GIVE THAT WOMAN AN EMMY, PLEASE!!!!)...it doesn't work for Christopher. He's milquetoast. He's still 16 and will always remain so. Lorelai's is years ahead of him in maturity (as is Rory and I dare say Gigi will be next year). And as for Luke? Diner owner, unshaven, diamond in the rough, steadfast and true he's in, he's all in....there's something about him that just makes a relationship with Lorelai the perfect match...or as perfect as non-perfection can be. Lorelai and Christopher may have been born with silver spoons in their mouths but, unfortunately, Chris never got rid of his. Or perhaps he just passed it on to Gigi. He inherited his legacy. Lorelai fought hard for hers. In so many ways she is so much more of a success than Chris will ever be. We can only hope that the network will allow this show to bow out with dignity and not unrealistically (and please do NOT have Rory marry Logan!)... As a quote from my favorite TV show states..."We live with dignity. We don't die with it". If this show is going to end, please let it go alive and shining....not dead and dull and fake.

No more Loreli & Chris. They are terrible together. It's all about Luke and Loreli and anyone who can't see that needs some glasses. They belong together, all those years he pined for her, now that's true love. Christopher doesn't care either way. He never cared like luke cares toward loreli or rory.. All for luke and loreli

OK! I for one CAN'T and I mean CAN'T stand the new writers. They totally messed up my fav show. They should of left it the way it was. With L&L getting ready to marry each other. True that luke should not have push aside his getting married to Lor aside, all be cause of a kid. she should of been included, no matterwhat the mother said. You can't just stop everything just cause of a kid. L&L belong together no matter what anybody else thinks! PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER AND FAST!

What is wrong with you people? Lorelei messed with Christopher from the beginning and treated him like dirt. He is nothing but loving to her and Rory, trying so hard, and still Lor is not satisfied. Luke is a selfish jerk who will continue to hurt Lorelei. I agree with the person who said she needs to be on her own for a while the way she was in the beginning.
Also, how come everyone seems to have forgotten about Rory's meltdown after Logan's father dissed her journalism skills and how she missed at least one semester of Yale and had to do community service. How did she make up an entire semester of credits to graduate on time? The magic of Television. But no one even remembers that stuff. Rory's college graduation should be the natural end point for this series. It's way over due and I am actually a fan.

I want to see more of Lane and Mrs. Kim and the babies.

This last season has a been a crappy rollercoaster ride from the beginning. The crazy twists of events with Chris have been annoyingly painful and I don't even care about Rory anymore with her middle school dramas.

But here is what really hurts. I cannot for the life of me understand how Lorelai could simply switch men the way she did. You don't get engaged, plan a wedding, and because of a communication problem, no matter how major it was, run off and sleep with an old, OLD ex. I understand that Luke DID NOT handle the April situtation well at all. Yet while he cut Lorelai off from his daughter, Lorelai cut Luke off from her feelings. She never delved into her problems with their situtation, agreed to postpone the wedding, and then suddenly gave Luke an ultimatum he was totally unprepared for(YES, he should have realized there was a problem in the first place! However, Lorelai should have known by now that Luke is not a spontaneous individual). They both were at fault and could have resolved their issues if they had communicated with each other. That is my take on it.

This entire show has centered on the chemistry between Lorelai and Luke. Up until this season. I have been a fan since the beginning, and it just kills me to see Lorelai, make such flippant, ridiculous choices that have screwed up her life. I am 100% unhappy with the way these new writers have twisted this show.

You know what guys, I understand that you want to see L & L together, heck, I wanted them to get marry too. But Luke is also an idiot. And yes, I am a true GG fan. I was there from day one. If he wanted to marry Loralei, he wouldn't have allowed the fact that he had a daughter to changed the progress that he and Loralei had made. I felt he went the wrong way about his daugther. When you are truly planning on marrying someone, you have to realize that it is a family coming together, and Luke was separating Loralei from April. That placed strain on the relationship. As for Chris and Loralei, his arrogance and cockiness is only out of insecurity. However, they have a history, not to mention, a child. So, maybe they needed time to find them self, and they finally realize that they can make it together because the love that they had for each other is still there. Plus, they now have the maturity that they lacked when they were younger to make the relationship work. Sometimes, it take time for one to realize who there heart wants and who is right for them. Luke blew it. So, if Loralei ends up with her high school sweetheart--the father of her child, then so be it. And if she ends up with Luke, then so be it. As long as she is happy!

Are you kidding me? no, no, no. You want this show to do well, correct? Then no more chris. Throw him out of the show or something. He is cocky, annoying, and has no point to the show. If you, the writers want to be smart you will make a S8. If you can't, the network wont let you, then fine whatever, but there better be Lorelai and Luke ending up together. If you the new writer have paid attention to the show at all you will see and know that L & L are suppose to be together. You've taken this season as if it's a joke. You don't think about the audience and what they'd like to see. You don't think and you shouldn't be a writer. I'm sorry but it's the truth. Just bring the real writers back. And I'm debating about getting the 7th season. My friends and I, about 6 of us would come to my house over the summer and I caught them all up to 7th season. They all loved the first 6 seasons. Begging me to let them watch it again, infact. And then you look at this season- they've all stoped watching. They say, "it's dumb." I tried to tell them it'll get better, you watch. I was fooling myself. I new it was done. The good writers were gone. You guys ruined it. Chris and Lorelai ended. They ended in high school. They're two completely incompatable people. Now you look at Luke. Yes, he's different then Lorelai, but they're perfect for eachother. They liked eachother overtime. It wasn't a fling- it wasn't a game. It was real. You may not care if this show goes down in flames. This show may not even matter to you guys. But it matters to us- the true fan's. Listen to us and I'm positive you'll get better reviews. Have you ever looked at the papers when they've mentioned this seasons show? It's awful. They call you fools. They laugh at what you've created. We're all laughing with them, but deep down we're hurting. Your killing us true gilmore girl fans. Please- make this show what it used to be-

I don't think they are going to have Lorelei be with anyone. Neither Christopher OR Luke. That's how she started the series.. and I think that's how she's going to end it. It's about the Gilmore Girls strengths and having her be with either Christopher or Luke says that she's too weak to be on her own. No I think they are doing it with her by herself. She's a strong person and she's come so far on her own through the series without a man's help. Lorelei is not destined to be married.. first it was Max, then Luke (who IS her soulmate), and now with Christopher. She's botched EVERY marriage attempt. She's not meant to be married.

What is worse for us, the show won't return next year and we will get a no ending or a rush LL first date, when they still are starting to talk to each other back.

Not Chris and Lorelai. Listen to what most people are saying. No one wants C and L together. I have been waiting forever to see Luke and Lorelai together. I remember when Lorelai was planning her wedding and everything just came together so quickly. That just shows that they are mean to be together. Lorelai has always had to struggle with having a relationship with Christopher. It should be pretty obvious to the writers and producers that the fans want LORELAI and LUKE!!!

Dave Rosenthal must have a death wish for the show. That or he's a masochist.

Really feel the writers have tried hard this year to explore places these characters needed to go - including Lorelai and Christopher finally spending time together: and they had GREAT chemistry. It makes TOTAL sense for Rory's dad, and Lorelai's husband to be at Rory's graduation. I would be disappointed if he were not there.

Lor and Chris Yuck!! If this is the last season it is a bust. I mean really you ever really wanted Lor and Chris together? Luck and Lor should be together. I use to watch every episode but now I don't really care about the show because you huys have trashed it. It is NOT what it use to be. Lorali and Luke SHLOUD be together. No way Lorelai and Christopher are back together. We need Luke and Lorelai. Christopher is a moron, who ruined half of a season. This can't be the last season. Lorelai's story line is so not finished. She and Luke reconciling in the last 5 minutes of the show it's not a good series finale, and after 7 years, and considering this crappy season , Gilmore Girls needs to go on a high. Rory's dream was to graduate from a Ivy League school in journalism and she did it, and apparently is going to meet Christiana Amanpour, which is a great think. Her story line, although it could be developed in an eighth season, is sort of finished. She accomplished what she was supposed to accomplished since the first episode of this show. But what about lorelai? Right now, she is practically in the same place as she was in the first season. Her dream, besides seeing her daughter happy, was to have the whole package:husband, kids, house, dog, etc.. Someone she could lean on. Obviously, she chose the wrong person for it, out of desperation, cause we all know luke is the one for her and so does she. So, we need to see Lorelai achieving her dream, and having her middle, and we need to know she'll be ok. That she and Luke will figure it out, after everything that happend. On the other hand, after seven years, Lorelai and her parents still don't have a good relationship. Yes, there's been some progress, but nothing big. This is one of the few story lines that were developed during the show, that scream for a great and not rushed ending: Emily and Richard finally accepting Lorelai for who she is, and Lorelai realizing that her parents love her, and they only want the best for her, even if they don't show it in the best ways. All these things need resolution and it's not in 4 ou 5 episodes that it will be resolved. WE NEED A S8, STOP WASTING TIME WITH CHRIS! Although it was about time he remembered he has daughter and showed up to supporter. I wonder if he is forced? bitter?? I want a S8!!!

Well, Chris is the man Lorelai "wants to want" - whatever the hell that means! Yep - having her take Chris as her "date" to their daughter's graduation would just be the perfect end to this pathetic season. Of course, Ausiello has almost as much credibility with the fans of this show as Lorelai has right now, so who cares.

We need to see Luke and Lorelai back together. There's not enough time for that this season. We need season 8, please.

Bring this show back for a S8... the fans have been cheated this year and they've had to deal with Chris for more than half of the season only to get a rushed Luke/Lorelai reunion. Why waste more than half of a season with a character 'most' fans don't even like? Talk about a poorly planned season.

Enough already, many of us have watched this series from day 1. If it is over, then let go out with style.Let Rory be on her way in her career, and Luke and Lorelai together as it was meant to be. Please?

I've had enough of the Chris and Lorelai thing..We do however need some extra episodes, if not a whole 8th season, to rebuild Lorelai and Luke in a believable way! Yay for Rory meeting her idol! :)

Lorelai and Chris an item again - as if. Really thanks for the laugh. He can take the family pictures of Luke, Lorelai and Rory at the graduation. Besides we already knew he would be there - so what's the big deal ? Let's have a final laugh on him before he is done with the show and we can move on to season 8.

Let's try to give Lor and Luke a chance. They deserve it. Please start showing new episodes. It is such a letdown when you sit down getting ready for some good Gilmore Girls and it is a rerun. When will the new episodes start?

Yeah Michael Ausiello was just (trying) to be funny. Chris is going to be at the graduation, which is a step up for him, but they aren't an item and never will be again. That ship has sailed.

The Chris/Lorelai thing is a joke. Ausiello is just messing with us. They're over. But, I do like that Chris is actually showing up to this graduation, unlike her high school one.
