Tricia Helfer Talks to Zap2it.com

Supernatural returns tonight, and the guest star is from one of our favorite off-network shows (what? We're allowed to watch other networks in our free time…) Yep, Tricia Helfer, Cylon Number Six from Battlestar Galactica, will be sharing the screen with Jared and Jensen in tonight's episode. She talked to Zap2it.com about the role.

While Six could easily bench-press both Winchester boys at once, the character Tricia is playing tonight is a bit more, well, human. "She's the girl in peril, that's for sure, but because, on 'Battlestar,' I play somebody who's supposedly on the evil side, it was fun to play the good character that the boys can help."

The other situation Tricia was unaccustomed to dealing with? Worrying about another actor blocking her light.

"At one point, we were doing a set-up, and I was working with Jared, who's six-five. I'm rather tall myself, so I'm usually one of the taller actors in the room and never have to worry about somebody else blocking my light. I was paying no attention at all to the fact that I was hiding behind Jared in the light. It took me a couple of takes to finally realize, 'Oh, man, he's so tall. Gotta pay attention here.'"

Alas, there will be no Six/Winchester hookup, a situation that would doubtless cause countless geeks (including some in our office) to explode with joy. Tricia is playing a happily married women – at least, she was happy, until her husband disappeared. And it seems both Jensen and Tricia rued that missed opportunity.

"Jensen and I laughed about that. He said, 'If you weren't searching for your husband, Dean would be hitting on you.' There was none of that going on, because I was crying over my lost husband. There was no kissing the cute boys, that's for sure."

Great interview, she's very sweet.

Yeah, thank God there's no lame romance!
That's why I love this show, no silly hookups and weak female characters who just wanna kiss a man.
She looks cool, it's great that she loved working with J&J.
