Ausiello Spills Some Gilmore/Veronica Scoop; We Analyze It

How much do we love TV Guide's Michael Ausiello?

So very much. And this week, he repays that love with some great scoop and spoilers on Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars, plus some info on Chris Lowell's part in that Grey's Anatomy spin-off. Bliss!

First up, good news for Stars Hollow fans! Ausiello says that we can expect Gilmore Girls back for a shortened season next year: "At the show's wrap party Sunday night, everyone and their sister was talking about the short order as if it was a done deal. The only sticking point appears to be the number of episodes. I'm hearing 13, but I imagine the CW is trying to stretch that to at least 16." We can't wait for the official word on this one.

He also gives us a sneak peak at the season finale, reporting that it revolves around a massive graduation party that the town throws for Rory. We think that sounds like fun, but we can't help but be concerned for the other college-age residents of Stars Hollow. Does no one else ever graduate from college, or do they just get ignored in favor of the town's favorite daughter? Or does everyone get a huge, town-wide party, and all business shuts down for the months of May and June? In any of these scenarios, we imagine a support group may be in order.

We've got Veronica Mars spoilers after the jump – don't click if you don't want to know!

Apparently, epic love ain't what it used to be – Ausiello reports that "[i]n the May 29 season finale, Veronica tells Logan that he's out of her life forever." Ouch! Will it stick this time? Who knows.

And poor Veronica won't even be able to console herself with Piz should the show return for a fourth season. In classic man-scorned fashion, Piz – ok, we mean actor Chris Lowell – is flaunting what Veronica's missing out on at the set of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off. According to Ausiello, he plays a surfer/receptionist in the new practice, and he spends at least part of the first episode shirtless.

Um, wow. Who knew Piz looked so good under those dorky clothes?

So what do you think of the Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars news? Do you think Gilmore Girls will be able to wrap up all the storylines in a shortened season? What do you want to see happen with all your favorite characters?

And how does the Veronica Mars news sit with you? Will you be mourning the end of the Logan/Veronica relationship, or do you think it's time to let that 'ship sink?

I dont care if there is no veronica and logan any more. Veronica Mars is the best show and they sould not end it that way. They should end it with veronica finally staying with someone. the veronica and duncan one ended because of duncans baby. And veronica and logan were a perfect couple. They really better keep the show going. BEST SHOW EVER!!!!

I'm so over LoVe. Two and a half seasons of it. Ugh. I'm sick of people saying that their love is so 'epic'. Logan was great as the villian. He became a less interesting character when he got together with Veronica. Now he's a watered-down sap. Personally, I'm dying to see Veronica with someone else. Hopefully someone who's name rhymes with Shmiz...

Im done with Veronica Mars if there's no more LoVe. That's what i watch it for. Also its different from the other shows. Also if you break up rory and logan and thats what i heard was goin to happen i will be very mad. They're adorable together and they're good for each other. No more Logan then im not watchin gilmore girls anymore. So I wont have anything to watch on tuesday nights so ill probably have to watch american idol=\ I dont like that show

I am not put off by this scoop. "Veronica tells Logan that he's out of her life forever." Isn't that classic LoVe? Seas 1 finale, Logan near dead at her door; Seas 2 finale, all was peachy at long last...making for very unsatisfying part 1 of Seas 3. And she wouldn't be Veronica if she wasn't going around making definitive proclamations about where people stand in her life...let's also remember the 'truthiness' nature of her voiceovers.

I feel like i watched more repeats this season than new shows. Thank god Christopher & Lorelari are done, it was suppose to be Luke!! as for Logan & Rori, i am all for that, they are a great couple! they bring out the best in eachother, Logan shows Rori about taking a gamble, where Rori keeps Logan grounded! I hope there are engagement plans in the future, they belong together!!

if LoVe's gone, Im done with Veronica Mars. Its really that simple. Way to go RT, drive your show into the ground! Good freaking move.

Your not a true VM fan if you leave just because a character leaves. I personally do not care who veronica is with as long as the storylines are witty, interesting and well crafted.

Veronica without L/V isn´t make any sence! If it´s over forever...i´ll stop to see the show!

I only started watching VM for the L/V and the Jason Dohring.

If that goes, I go.

Great news about next season. But I want to know what will happen to Logan?
Everyone else ends the year happy with a big party but we don't even see what happens to Logan? What kind of ridiculous storyline is this? Give Rory the big party, fine, but let's hear what happens to all the cast members to end this season!
Not liking what I've heard in spoilers so far! Not happy at all!!
