Supernatural: New Interviews Get Us Through
Even though we’re still languishing in hiatusville, we’ve found some great Supernatural interviews to keep us going until the next new episode.
First, the folks from MeeVee, along with several other bloggers, wrangled a visit to the set while they were filming the season finale. (We’ll pause to say how happy we are that they got the opportunity, and we’re not at all bitter that we weren’t invited, and …. Sob! Why, Supernatural, why? Why didn’t we get an invite? We could have kept our hands to ourselves, and we wouldn’t have stolen the Metallicar or anything… Why don’t you love us as much as we love you?)
It helps that MeeVee got a great interview with producer/director Kim Manners, who admits that some episodes aren’t golden, shares a theory on why the show works, and talks about the motivations behind the Hunters: “All of these people believe in the occult. They know that the supernatural exists, and they hunt evil. That's what they do. They're all, basically, undercover. I mean, if you murder a werewolf and that werewolf turns back into a human being, if you get caught for that murder, you're going to prison. So they live on the run. They rid the world of evil and things that are killing people in the night.”
MeeVee also talked to everyone from the stunt coordinator to the costume designer, who shared her thoughts about what we can see about the characters from their clothing: “In the beginning, we had our meetings about who they were. For Sam, he was in university, so he was going a little different route. Dean was more blue collar, so that was the initial template. One is a little harder core, and the other's a little preppier. But they’ve sort of grown together in their costuming.”
MeeVee will be sharing more about their set visit over the next several days. We’ll be hanging on every word.
In other news, executive producer John Shiban talked to SciFi Wire about what we can expect out of the season finale. "I think people will be surprised at some of [the answers]. Everybody has their theories, of course. We've got some good twists and turns in there. We've obviously hinted at some big things from the top of the season involving Sam's destiny, involving Dean's mission and what the demon is doing. ... As usual in our Supernatural world, it's not going to be what everybody expects."
We can’t wait.

I have been watching Supernatural since season 1, I want to know why the show REAPER took over on Thursday nights at 8pm which was when Supernatural was on? Please get back to me so I can start watching this great show again.

SUPERNATURAL IS SO TOTALLY WICKEDLY AWESOME,I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO IF THE SHOW EVER CANCELED.JARED AND JENSEN ARE HOT.CAN'T WAIT FOR UPCOMING EPISODES.

Just got through watching pt.1
season finale and OH MY GOD!!! I hope Sam isn't gone.And Ava knew what was going on the whole time,makes u wonder.They better bring back Sam if they don't all hell will break loose with Dean.

The yellow eyed demon,the arising army,the return of papa winchester?Sam getting stabbed,Dean doing something heroic as usual for his brother.This show is getting REALLY intense people.Can someone PLEASE respond to this for me,And help sort out some of my questions PLEASE.

The show works because of great acting, great writing, humor, and just a wonderful job done by the cast and crew. This show is exceptional in its ability to draw the viewer in and hold him/her till the end. Maybe some epis aren't so great but I have yet to be disappointed in 99.99% of them. Even the not so great, well except for one, *coughnoexitcough*, had their golden moments.
Jensen Ackles can act. I mean, the guy can act. And that's saying a lot for a tv actor since most of them only need to look pretty. Jared has improved so much in the second season, that together, they make the Winchester Team one of the best on tv. Love those boys and thanks to Mr. Kripke for giving them to us. : )

Hi! I could not agree more with the comments. Supernatural is a terrific show and really there is no show like it or even close on plot, and direction and awesome acting. There is millions of viewers out there locally and internationally that love this show. That says a lot if you take into account the fansites and ordinary supporters that dedicate their time and resources to keeping the show alive. Hopefully, the CW exectives will take note of this and renew it for a third, or fourth and maybe even a fifth season and not take into account alone what the Nielsen ratings say as gospel! Sadly, far to many brilliant shows have been cancelled due to this, please don't make the same mistake with Supernatural!

Sarah, THANK YOU for posting this! While some of these interviews are also listed on various other forums, it's always nice to see another bump for this terrific show - the more, the merrier, I say!
