Mario Lopez Comedy Picked Up for Midseason

Mario Lopez showcases those dimplesExcuse us while we do a happy dance -- Zap2it reports that The CW has picked up "Eight Days a Week," the Mario Lopez/Christina Milian comedy about twentysomething assistants in NYC. We'll have to wait awhile, as it's a midseason pickup. But at least it's going to happen.

We admit to crushing on Mario for awhile -- yes, he strutted his stuff on Dancing with the Stars, but we've loved him since Saved By the Bell (uh oh, we're showing our age). And Christina Milian will be great by his side. Did y'all know she was in American Pie and guested on Sister, Sister?

We reported awhile back that the stars had signed on, but after the upfronts came and went with no word, the outlook wasn't looking good. It's great that the network finally made it official!

Will you be tuning in... for Mario's dimples if nothing else?

Lopez is hot, but I'll wait and see.
If it's another crappy CW teeny soap, I'll pass.
