Beauty and the Geek Changes It Up (A Little)
Besides confirming Top Model's move to NYC and lamenting about the lack of CW Emmy noms, Dawn Ostroff's TCA speech also disclosed a little twist to the upcoming season of Beauty and the Geek:
Beauty and the Geek ... tinkered with its format by adding a “beauty” to the guys and a “geek” to the girls. The pair will operate as a team.
We say it's about time! After three seasons of babe-ish but dim gals and brainy, dorky guys, this show needs a fresh twist. And while we'd prefer a whole season of geeky gals and gorgeous guys, we'll take what we can get.
What about you? Are you ready for this little change in format, or do you prefer Beauty and the Geek as-is?

okay i could be totally wrong about this.. but doesn't the hot guy look like one of the guys in that old disney movie "Brink!"?

I am actually glad. Personally, i was getting tired of all the geeky guy stuff...and the dumb broad stuff. The switch is needed and heck I'd even consider auditioning. Looking foward to this change, and wondering how it will turn out. And lets face it; women are nicer to the "social outcasts" than men are. This makes for a great TV show.

I actually thought it'd be cool to have a girl geek on the show after Richard.
And a hot guy? Some of the "geeks" I thought were hot! Uh, maybe I have my eye on brains more than looks. Intelligence is attractive, in my opinion. If the "beauties" don't see the "geeks" as attractive men, then they are just shallow.

I cannot believe you all are taking all of us off the air that was a really great family sitcom.First you take away Eve, One-on One, Cuts, and Half and Half now this I am so disappointed in this merger and it's sad to say that I am not suprised because all net works do the same thing you use the sitcoms with a large african american cast to draw the viewers in and then when you have them you drop all the shows with mostly black cast members in them.
