America's Next Top Model: Smokin'!

Top Model seems to be all about taking a stand this cycle -- for the environment, with the bio-diesel bus, and against smoking, with the nasty mirror-image photo shoot. We applaud their social conscience, but do you think it will have an effect on the viewers?

So what did you think of the elimination? For once, we agree with the judges -- Mila's picture was nothing special, and we couldn't help but wonder when she got the giggles during her chemotherapy-sufferer shoot. Yes, the whole set-up was ridiculous, but come on, a lot of shoots are going to be bizarre.

Tell us what you thought of the rest of the episode: Vote in the polls, and share your thoughts in the comments!

i personally think that the show was great. some people don't really know what the side sickness' they can get from smoking. i didn't think the show mucked or degraded anyone with a sickness like those that models had to portray in photo shoot. this was realistic. some people believe it or not spend every day living like that. smoking is a serious thing. i used to smoke but i promised my mom and granny i'll stop. since, i have lost both to cancer within a year of both. both were smokers.
i also think that the few girls that were talkin about the girl with the Asperger, they are all foolish. she doesn't even look like anything is wrong with her. she just looks like she is to herself. maybe how she takes her photos and her personality will get her farther than the foolish ones. they all know who they are. one left the show already. i wonder how she feels.

I think the smoking episode missed the mark. The fact is that there are a good percentage of people affected with cancer with no history of smoking or being around excess second hand smoke. There should have been sensitivity trainer for both the producers, Tyra and the models before something like that was attempted. You essentially berated and belittled those going through daunting, destructive, and depressing chemotherapy and it's side effects.
Boo for CW11 and boo for Tyra.
Also all those girls who make fun of the model with Ausberger's need IMMEDIATE sensitivity training or the boot. Who wants role models that make fun of the differences in people.
Tyra, I thought you have more scruples than to let that kind of crap fly. What happened????

i must honestly say, i couldn't wait for Mila to leave, damn she was really annoying me, i dont even know why Tyra picked her happy ass. I could have gotten her spot. "if you focus on the good things all da bad things will go away" ummmm in whose world Mila, not the real one. Even during the season premiere, she was so damn happy, c'mon girl, cry a lil, its okay. Anyway, i have been an avid watcher of top model since cycle 2 when yoanna won, keep up the good work TYRA
