Top Model: "We're All In The Same Boat"
Top Model took to the high seas last night when the hopefuls boarded a Caribbean cruise ship. And what a season it's going to be! This round, we've got a Yalie, an aesthetician, and an exotic dancer in the bunch. Even in the premiere, Tyra managed to elicit plenty of tears from the girls with troubled pasts, which of course, she totally loved. In fact, when one of the girls came out with a sunny smile, Tyra wasn't sold: "You seem TOO happy. When do you cry? When do you feel most vulnerable?" Won't anyone tell her that the judging rounds aren't a therapy session?
A few contestants already stand out. There's Heather, the Asperger's sufferer with bad posture but a striking profile. Ebony has already been marked as the bitch (but will anyone live up to Cycle 7's Monique? That's the question). Sarah might or might not be a plus-size model... although as one of our crew said, "If that girl's plus-size, than what am I?" She's MAYBE a size 4. Sigh. Oh, and we think Saleisha is adorable. But too often, adorable translates to "catalog" or "ready-to-wear" (ouch) on this show. Our favorites are always the first to go!
As usual, the contestants took a backseat to Tyra and the Jay/J antics. Could you believe her when she got up on the judges' table and pretended to get a bikini wax? Which was your favorite over-the-top Tyra moment?

I used to really like bianca but now it seems shes gettin on my nerves...she complains and fights to much now ...it dont matter weather u've got i t or w/e but do it in a womanly way i mean for christ sack ure on national tv set and eg...show dat black gurls r not only confident beautiful and smart but the av wat it takes and stop hatin and fight choops!

I think Bianca is quite insecure, and as the saying goes, attack is the best form of defense but it appears she's into both at the same time.Sweetheart a top model needs to be CONFIDENT and not hide under the mask of being outspoken or 'tough'.Saleisha, you're doing a good job' but don't let it get into your head okay? Heather, you really are a big inspiration, proove to the other girls, the judges and most importantly to the world that no matter what you might be going through theres a bright light at the end of the tunnel.Amreal, you are a beutiful black girl, keep putting all you've got into your photo shoots.
Generally,I do not expect so much fights ones the girls come to realise they are in a competiotion and not a wrestling ring.

Heather is an inspiration for all those who suffer from autism. Lisa should not let her past affect who she is today. Bianca is such a horrible person she needs to go. Go for it Heather and Lisa.

It is a shame that there are such rude people in this world. I work with children with autism and it's ignorant people like these girls that don't give my students a chance. It's so sad but they are the ones missing out. I hope Heather goes all the way :)

Bianca must go! She's awful, she has already had issues with Ebony and Lisa; now her sight is on Saleisha, since Saleisha she won the first contest.
Kimberly is equally horrible ... She has openly stated that she will not give Heather the opportunity to cling to her--she doesn't want to be Heathers go to person ... What type of person with a heart would feel that way about someone disabled? Disabled but equal to Kimberly in beauty. In Heather's peace filled fog she's aware of the fact that she cannot go to Kimberly!
I thought Janet was down to earth; I've since change my mind.
Lisa is gorgeous, has had a hard life, but she's gotta work on that filthy mouth.
Victoria & Ambreal should go back to Yale and Howard Universities--Although this may be a great experience for them they have other options that I feel may be a priority.
Heather is unbelievably gorgeous--she may be in her own fog at times but If she watches and learns--Tyra showed her how to watch the other girls.
Ebony has a beautiful spirit ... didcha see her wiping away Lisa's tears after Bianca verbally attacked her?
Chantal, Sarah, Jenah, and whoever I may have missed have the same chance at winning or losing ... There's nothing special about them. In my OPINION :-)

I like Heather alot. I think she has intelligence and beauty and overcoming AS is such a difficult hurdle. You can do it Heather!

HOW DARE YOU MOCK CHEMO PATIENTS AND PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM THE HORRIFIC SIDE EFFECTS OF SMOKING. I ENJOY THIS SHOW SO MUCH AND FIND THIS TO BE SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. MAYBE THERE IS A MESSAGE YOU ARE TRYING TO SEND, BUT THE COMMENTS MADE BY THE GIRLS AND PHOTOGRAPHER WERE FAR FROM SYMPATHETIC.

I am really hoping heather goes far. I actually went to high school with her and was unaware of her condition i hope this helps her confidance and makes her realize that it is ouer indifferances that make us special and beautiful. Go Heather!!
