Beauty and the Geek: More Questions, More Answers

Mike RichardsYou had more questions, so I'm back with more answers. Read on!

Q. Why don't you have everyone stay the whole time and they get points the whole time? Then the people with most points win. That way the geeks can get cooler and we get to see the beauties longer. -- Joe.

A. There are a couple of reasons we don't use a point system. First, in a point system one team could get so far ahead that there would be no point to continue the season. For instance, one team could win the first four challenges and guarantee a victory before the season was half over. You could have the potential points go up with each challenge, but that would give some challenges more importance than others. On our show, they are all important.

Second, the fear of immediate elimination motivates both the beauties and the geeks to try their hardest to win the challenges. The point of this social experiment is to push each person to do things they would never do. The prospect of being sent home guarantees they are getting the most out of their experience.

Third, and most importantly, eliminations send people home because they are not transforming. If you win the challenge you are safe. Even if you don't win, if you studied hard, you will make it out of the elimination because the questions are always based on the study materials.

Q. In your opinion, who really should have won the rap challenge? -- Nancy

A. All the guys tried really hard. Have you ever tried to write a rap song and then perform it? Really hard!! For sure, just like 3-6 Mafia said, Will and John did the best. I loved John's juggling, but I thought Will's rap was much more cohesive. I don't think any of them will have an album drop anytime soon.

This week there is romance in the air at the mansion. The guys have to figure out what is romantic and what isn't...and one lucky guy gets it right and gets the girl. Pay special attention to my main man Joshua and his pie!

how do you feel about Nicole conspiring against
Sam, manipulating him to do what she wanted? I loved it, but do you
think it goes against the spirit of the "social experiment"?

MAN I LOVE THIZ SHOW.

Mike,

Any chance that mean girl from last season could come back this season and go head to head with one of these geeks? This year's geeks seem more confident.

I just saw the new season of Beauty and the Geek tonight, and this cute guy and geek chick should have been a good addition, but instead it showed us how trival "Pretty people" really are.

The concept is good but that guy is a jerk, and so is the cute chick. Isn't the point to learn new things and get along with people who are different from their usual group?

It seems to me they are more interested in each other so what is the point of them being there? I have to say that in my opinion it is an insult to the Geek girl and the Geek guy. It just shows the world how these people are usualy treated, and it really makes me angry. Infact, I changed the channel so I could watch the worst new show instead. Maybe it's because the "pretty people" are acting like "caveman" I found myself shouting at the TV for them to get a room and wanted just them to get out of the house.

Here is an idea, get those two tossed out of the house and make their partners pair up, Have the girls help the Geek girl with her dress and make up and show the world how beautiful she can be, and how handsome he can.

One more thing for anyone who thinks I am being to harsh, get over it. I say Geeks Unite!!

Peace Out
