Gossip Girl: The Humphreys Come Out On Top
A sultry smooch from Serena. Respect (and a lunch date) from a humbled Blair. Both Dan and Jenny got exactly what they wanted in last night's Gossip Girl, even though it totally didn't seem like they would at first.
Let's backtrack. After several failed attempts at setting up plans (brunch blowouts, photo shoot shenanigans, etc.), Dan and Serena FINALLY had a real date planned. Serena had the whole night free, even blowing off Blair's legendary sleepover. Dan, sporting a spiffy suit, had a substantial chunk of his savings devoted to the evening. What could possibly go wrong?
Um... everything. Dan tried to woo Serena with a pricey dinner date at Chez Stuffy. Bo-ring. Worse, she paid for the dinner when it became clear Dan didn't have enough cash on him! Just when it looked like these two were over before they even began, Dan realized that being himself would work just fine. He and Serena headed downtown for Big Date V. 2.0...
Meanwhile, Jenny showed up at Blair's famous sleepover with fuzzy bunny slippers and a pink sleeping bag -- only to find out this slumber party wasn't quite so innocent. Before long, Blair had Jenny sipping gin martinis, stirring up trouble at the bar, and breaking in to sneak Eric out of the Ostroff Center. The ultimate was when Blair set Jenny up to get arrested for breaking into her mom's boutique. We were pleasantly surprised when Jenny smoothly talked her way out of it by pretending to be Blair. But what we really didn't see coming was that final scene when Jenny took Blair down about five notches. Little J wasn't only the first to leave the famed sleepover early -- she's probably also the first to put Blair in her place. And these two have a lunch date next week... so are they friends now?
Rufus had his own share of problems -- all of them involving women. Not only did he find out that his wife's seeing someone else, but he freaked her out when Lily answered the phone at his place a few hours later. As for he and Lily, it looks like something's brewing there. So far, Rufus is the only character that brings out anything human in Lily at all -- we almost liked her when she was hanging out with him.
Downtown, Serena and Dan's date was interrupted once again, this time because of Eric's escape. But when they found out their little siblings were safe, Dan and Serena finally (finally, FINALLY) had a few moments alone to focus on each other and lock lips for the long-awaited kiss. Squee! We know it probably won't last long, but we're savoring this Dan and Serena relationship as long as we can.

hey gossip girl is one of the best shows ever!!! i love it...all i gotta say that Dan is a total hottie and jeeny shouldn't be hanging out wit Blair...oh yeah and Sarena should be lucky dan gave her a chance...oo yeah and i don't like Nate because i know he wants Sarena back but sorry Nate is not gonna happen...lol Gossip Girl Rocks!!!

Jenny is so not going to make it to the top of the ladder. But she should sooooooooo go out with Eric. They are made for each other. I feel bad for Blair. She is nice if u really know her.
