The Game: Tasha, Renee and Malik the Cliché

We took a bit of a break from Melanie and Derwin’s trauma on The Game this week, and we think it made for a strong episode. What about you? It’s not that we don’t want to follow the Melanie/Derwin story, but it’s good to give them both a bit of a breather and let the other characters shine.

Poor Malik. He just has no clue how to be an adult, does he? And yes, he is a total cliché, but we can’t believe Renee didn’t know that beforehand. Do you think she’s what he needs to help him grow up?

And Tasha doesn’t exactly seem comfortable with Malik flying the nest – taking care of him has been her life for so long, she’s lost all perspective – “He’s ready to think for himself when I tell him he is!” Ah, Tasha – think about that statement for a minute, will you?

We felt a bit sorry for Melanie, caught in the middle. She gave both Malik and Tasha her honest opinion – and neither of them were happy about it.

We also felt sorry for Jason. Sure, he was being disingenuous when he offered to host bible study, but you’ve got to give him credit for being honest at the end. Not the coach, though – he’s made up his mind about Jason, and anything Jason just gets twisted to fit his preexisting opinions.

I THINK THAT MALIK MOVING OUT IS A SMART MOVE. HE IS A GROWN ASS MAN AND HE IS FEEDING INTO THE BLACK STEROTYPE THAT BLACK MEN FEED OFF THEIR MAMA'S. I THINK IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO BECOME A REAL MAN. BUT MELANIE IS IN THEIR HOUSEHOLD SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO COME IN AND MAKE ANY CHANGES WHEN YOU ARE UNDER SOMEONE ELSES ROOF. THAT IS THE WAY THERI HOUSEHOLD WAS AND SHE SHOULD HAVE MINED HER OWN BUSINESS.

I think it is great how is the show is going. Of course Melanie & Derwin's drama is big, but also focusing the spotlight on the other cast members is important. Malik moving out is just what he needs(maybe). He hasn't been able to be a man due to Tasha's sense of personal security and protection. The show is funny as hell! I love it and it definitely is my favorite! Keep up the good work. TTYL

not often you see women on tv shows bugout like mel did when she found out about derwins dirt i was happy with her response because thats what happens in our everyday lives but I already know mel is going to go back to derwin. I would love to see his response towards mel when he finds out that she had sex tre. mabey now his character will get a taste of his own medicine

where can i get the t shirt that Melanie was wearing when she was outside with Tasha
