Countdown to Crowned: Less Than One Month
The CW has set a date for the premiere of Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants. The mother-daughter beauty pageant reality show will premiere on Wednesday, December 12 at 9/8c (after the Cycle 9 finale of Top Model). After that week, the show will move to the Wednesday 8/7c timeslot, before Gossip Girl.
We have to admit, the prospect of pageantry on reality TV had us intrigued, but the mother-daughter pairings are sheer genius. Moms and teenage daughters are a reality show in and of themselves -- the drama, emotional outbursts, and screaming matches are built in. Add a competitive pageant setting, and you're looking at some serious meltdown potential.
Plus, we've recently found out that the judges will be Queer Eye's Carson Kressley, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, and Cynthia Garrett. Depending on your tastes, this could be a good OR bad thing.
