Reaper Meets the Family
Hey, look, it’s Julie Cooper on Reaper! Sorry, but the fabulous Melinda Clarke will always be the even-more-fabulous Julie Cooper to us. And yes, it was entirely plausible to us that Julie would go from Jimmy to Caleb to Luke to Hercules to the Devil. That woman had the worst luck with men…
Just like Sam has the worst luck with women. First, Andi is denying all knowledge that anything weird every happened between them – you know, like Andi getting all verklempt that Sam would give her a girlfriend-type gift. Then, Sam meets someone who seems to be a really nice, really cool girl – and she just might be the boss’ daughter. No, not Ted’s – Satan’s. Awkward!
But Sam wasn’t the only one having a bad week. Poor Ben – his grandmother had quite impressive Look of Doom, didn’t she? She doesn’t strike us as anyone we’d like to cross! Luckily, in the end, she approved of what Ben was doing (and by extension, approved of Sock and Sam), but we hope she doesn’t look too closely at what’s going on. She says Ben’s doing God’s work. Yeah, maybe by extension, but the hiring manager comes from a very different division.
What did you think of the Devil dating Mimi? Was is just a matter of the Prince of Lies toying with a mortal soul, or does he really have feelings for her? We kind of think he’s honestly sweet on Mimi, but work kind of gets in the way. Well, that and being the embodiment of evil
Speaking of that – we kind of love that Sock has set his sites on being the Duke of Darkness (it’s a much more alliterative title than Prince of Darkness, anyway.) He may very well have the chops – how cool was his scheme to get all the ashes on the list by giving away fake free carpet? Every once in a while, Sock comes through.
