Crowned Recap: Habitat for Humility

Did anyone else find themselves singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" after last night's EXCELLENT desashing ceremony on Crowned? Peace out, Angela and Tenia; your smart-ass remarks about other contestants not having money and your expensive hair extensions will not be missed. Oh, and P.S. -- that hideous lime green dress made our eyes bleed.

Yes, last night's episode was a doozy. First, the ladies traded in their stilettos for some steel-toed boots as they did some volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity. Teams of four were paired up and put to work on different tasks -- forcing Rachelle and Mindy to work alongside the evil ginger muppets better known as the Sincere Sexy Reds. This odd couple had to lay sod around the perimeter of the house which made for loads of bitching and moaning on the part of, who else, Patty and Laura. They ended up leaving their task early so that they could do something a bit easier... maybe they learned how to use the stove.

When the Habitat dude came to dole out the award to the team who worked in the nicest way, Rachelle and Mindy were given the opportunity to choose from the gift boxes, much to the chagrin of Bitchy and Botoxy. Later, in the lion's den (aka the bad girls' room) Patty opened a bottle of Haterade on Rachelle, telling her that she and Mindy didn't deserve to win that challenge. Somehow she truly believed that she and Laura had worked harder than the Gifted Dolls (*Ring ring* Hi, yes, Patty, this is the earth calling; we notice you've been missing for a while; are you coming back any time soon?). She then went on a tirade about how she has had shoulder problems and yadda yadda; we really don't even know where she was going with that. Funny, perhaps it's the editing, but we missed the part where Patty had ever spoken of her shoulder injury up until this point. We did, however, see Rachelle doped up on Vicodin due to her knee pain, but somehow she managed to get down and dirty packing the sod into the ground without one complaint. Besides, Patty, wasn't the one doing any of the lifting anyway, it was Laura who was having issues lifting some of the grass. Maybe she's not getting enough protein from Momma's hamburger meat.

In the next challenge, the duos not only had to come up with a soapbox speech on a pre-selected topic, they also had to do it in front of random people at a mall. Jenileigh and Moya failed to convince anyone to hug them, but they did a great job being down-to-earth and engaging their audience. Christan and Ada had some problems with their public speaking but did well enough to stay in the game. Gina and Hollis left some of their musical theater cuteness back at the mansion and nailed this challenge, taking the judge's top spot at the desashing ceremony. Even though Mindy and Rachelle didn't quite get through their topic, they remained in the game. It was Angela and Tenia who were told to desash themselves this time, and we couldn't have been happier (especially considering last week's episode). BUT, in a shocker (ok, we weren't really that shocked) Angela and Tenia ran out of the room refusing to desash themselves or have anyone else do it for them. This left everyone else wide-eyed and confused -- particularly Shana who looked as though she were about to cry. Angela's last words? "I refuse to be humiliated." A little too late, honey.

Next week's episode couldn't come soon enough, since the previews made it seem as though family might be coming to visit (or at least we hope Gina is making out with her husband in that preview). Patty seems to have had a bit too much to drink and throws up into a box (we'll consider that a late holiday present -- thanks, Santa). We can't wait to see who has to clean up after her mess.

What did you think of this week's episode? Did you think the right team was sent home? We want to hear from YOU!

This episode 01/23 Christan and Ada was sent home. They were true beauties, but have trouble public speaking.

who got sent home wed jan 23 2008 cuz i missed it ????

Thank God their gone, they were very un-appetizing. I found myself more interested in their departure than in the actual show. Now I can focus on my favorite mother daughter team Gina and Hollis.

i knew A&T were going home. I didn't know they would run off stage. That was immature but judjes reaction was funny. Didn't like their attitude? Now Patty and Laura will replace them as meanies. People will only remember them A&T for their meanness.
