it's okay, mia! i hate lucas too!

have to agree with most everyone that i love these podcasts! great conversation; i feel like me and my friends are right there with you. my friend shanna is just like jackie; she kind of leads our weekly discussions of each episode. we love listening to you guys.thanks

Mia: Before you start dissing characters and the show in general you need to go see the first four episodes. Then you will have the right to diss Lucas!!! Luke is my favorite character. I am a Brucas fan, but he and peyton are meant for each other.

And about the Mouth thing! I have to agree I hate the storyline. I really just Mouth in general. The show should not waste valuable air time with him! They should be focusing on the main characters ie the hott ones!!!

So Mia, I am totally with you about the Lucas thing. I've been a fan of the show since the start, and I have never been a Lucas fan. He just grates on my nerves. And you're all right...Haley's character totally rocks, and Joy does such a great job of portraying her.

Can't wait to hear your opinions about the next episode. Until Tuesday...

Ladies hit the nail on the head once again!! Obviously the Mouth storyline needs to change. I absolutely cringed when I saw the claw marks. I CRINGED. But the points with the assistant... Would really like to see that over the nanny.
I'm glad everyone likes Haley. Haley's totally cool minus her miscue in season two. I felt really bad about the picture ... I didn't really see it coming. And oh my gosh Nathan looks damn good once again. Glad everyone agreed.
Your comments on Quentin .. Whenever I watch him I always look at him like a disobedient pit bull puppy. A little scruffy but with some love and training he can become this fierce on command, lovable thing. Wishful thinking?
But one thing ... you ladies love evil Victoria but hated Quentin? They are both villains yet you share the love only to Victoria? But I did love your comments on her. I actually laughed a couple times. Oh and K-Fed. I totally agreed ... he served his purpose. If people are gonna insult his acting they might as well insult the acting of Mouth's co-worker. They both served their purposes well.
Mia, I may not go as far as hate but Lucas I think is the most dense out of all the characters. His decisions are supposed to be always "right" but he makes some stupid, idiotic ones. And most of his story lines are either with basketball or some form of love triangle. Exhibit A: the beginning. Nathan/Peyton/Lucas. B: Peyton/Lucas/Brooke. times 2 C: Lucas/Anna/Felix (though Anna and Felix were siblings, they were both arguing over her) D: Anna/Lucas/Brooke E: Brooke/Lucas/Rachel F: Lucas/Brooke/Chris Keller and now G: Peyton/Lucas/Lindsey. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Carrie/Lucas/Milicent triangle. I don't know why all these Brooke and Peyton fans want their supposed "favourite" character with this guy who has a history of cheating and in all honestly I don't see a change in him. Brooke is lucky to be out of Lucas triangles. I have seen every episode and that's my opinion on Lucas.
I think Lindsey is smart to "mark her territory". I don't think there was anything wrong with what she did. As for the previews .. don't see him proposing to Peyton. It's sad that he's gonna propose to Lindsey after what he said to Peyton.

I love hearing your podcasts and I have to say that I agree with alot of the things you girls were saying! First off I HATE the Mouth story line too, Mouth is sooo much better then that. Second I love that Haley is getting back into music, but at what cost? And yes that nanny is wayyyy to perfect, i do not like her at all. NATHAN GOT A HAIRCUT!!! That was the best! My hottie is back. And yes Victoria Davis is the biggest b*tch i have ever seen on this show, i think she beats out Nikki. I would love to see Brooke fire her mom but I think she is longing for that relationship that she never had with her but I think in time she will realize that she doesn't need her and that she never did. Now with Lucas. Ok so when Lucas said that to Peyton I went off, kinda like Peyton did, but before she even did. As soon as he said that to her I wanted to slap him across the face. He had NO RIGHT to say that to her and I was sooo proud of Peyton for calling him on it! And I am not the biggest Peyton fan at all, before this season I couldn't stand her, but she is growing on me this season because she is no long the woe is me character that was depressed all the time. And then when Lucas went home and called Lindsay, I wanted to slap him all over again. I have to say I can not stand Lucas right now, and I don't he deserves to be with anyone. But I do agree with alot of these posts and you really have to go back and watch the seasons to really get to know Lucas and see that there is more there. But this is not a good season for Lucas. And yeah next weeks previews WTF!?!? He was def. kissing Brooke in the first scene, and then he asks her if they chose the right path. I know that it going to piss me off cause I am a HUGE Brucas fan and I know that Mark is just toying with us. Put I don't know about the whole proposal thing, I haven't decided if i think its Peyton or Lindsay. If its Lindsay then Lucas is def. a jack ass and if its Peyton then its def a flashback. But we shall see. Can't wait to hear what you girls have to say next week!

I do like all there opinions they are great. In regards to that Promo for next weeks episode it is a flashback episode to Lucas first Year of College. That Proposal is not To Lindsay but to Peyton.

I love listening to all of your opinions. I do think that the 2 who started watching this season need to go back and watch the first 4 in order to really understand each character's past. Especially Lucas! Mia, the one eopisode you need to watch is in Season 4 when Lucas has his heart attack and Keith comes back.

Okay I don't normally respond to or take stabs at people, but Mia, I don't think you know what you are talking about when it comes to Lucas. I know you are new to this show, but you need to watch the previous seasons and you will see that Lucas is not a self- centered character that fluants his good looks around women. Personally, I think any woman would kill to have Lucas as a boyfriend, me included! He is sensitive, caring, thoughtful, and I could go on and on. But I think Lucas' problem is that he can't see things clearly when it comes to Peyton. His life was on track with Lindsey and then Peyton comes back to town and all his old feelings resurface for him that he can't admit too. Peyton was a huge part of his life, she was his first love, and you don't forget your first love. Personally, I think Lucas is going to bury his feelings for Peyton and stay with Lindsey because I think he truly cares for her, but not like he cares for Peyton and he doesn't want to hurt Lindsey. So Mia, I think you need to take a weekend and catch up on the past 4 seasons and you will see what a good person Lucas really is.

I love what you guys said about Haley! So true! She's so real and sweet. I'm glad Mia likes her and is a new watcher to the show. Joy is phonomenal.

First, i thought this was the best podcast so far. i really enjoyed listening to it and hearing all three of your comments on the show. Cant wait to hear the next one! and you guys said in the podcast that Mia will probably become the annoying person that ppl hate, well you can put me in the opposite pile, because i like, and love her opinion about lucas! Great perspective from a new viewer!

Mia!! Agree agree agree! I hate Lucas so much. I've watched the show since its inception and I always loved it, but there was something about it that just irked me. It took me until I think the middle of Season 2 or something to finally figure out that I hate Lucas soooo much! I don't think a main character of a show has ever bothered me more than he has! He's kind of a jerk and comes across as being so much better than everyone else, like he's entitled and that everyone must worship him. He jerks around all the girls, too, even Haley and they're just friends.

...And yes, there was totally a flash of Lucas kissing Brooke, I saw it. (And whoever said that Lucas was saying to Peyton 'you're the one I want to be with', I think that was an allusion from Season 4, when Peyton asked Lucas who he wanted to be with when his dreams came true, and he said Brooke, but then he changed his mind and told Peyton it was her and then they started dating.)

You and the other one who haven't seen the whole show need to pick up the DVDs though! Watch the other seasons! The rest will make so much more sense.
