Mark Your Calendars: CW Announces Return Dates of Original Shows
The wait for new shows is shorter than we thought! The CW has just announced the return dates for its original programs -- and some shows will be back in just over a month. Here's the scoop:
The Game will return on March 23 with an expected 9 new episodes.
One Tree Hill will return on April 14 with an expected 6 new episodes.
Smallville will return on April 17 with an expected 5 new episodes.
Gossip Girl will return on April 21 with an expected 5 new episodes.
Reaper will return on April 22 with an expected 5 new episodes.
Supernatural will return on April 24 with an expected 4 new episodes.
We can't wait -- how about you?

The Game is such a good show please keep it on I tune in every friday to watch and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next it just a great show that's funny yet serious I love it and the cast is the best.

What's the deal with Girlfriends? Someone made a mistake letting Jill Marie Jones go...Golden Brooks is hysterical, but the show has defintely lost it's appeal since Toni left.

THE GAME is AWESOME! It has some of the funniest, under rated actor / actresses on TV. Please do us a favor and invest in the storyline. The CW has traditionally offered great shows and this is defintely one of them.

The Game is the bomb and I am glad that it is returning for an expected 9 episodes!!! That is the best news I have heard since my deployment was over and I learned that i was coming home!

Smallville.. returning April 17?? Umm..They showed a preview of a new epi which said it was returning this Thursday March 13. And yes I saw it on the CW. That's weird..I guess I will wait and see..

I can't wait for The Game to return!!! I am sooo excited. It is one of the best shows ever. LUV IT! Keep 'em coming. The drama, the wit, the comedy--you can't beat it.
I'm guessing its a wrap for Girlfriends. The show was falling off anyway. We have waited the 5 or more years to see Joan in a stable relationship...and it ends with her finally having a man but not really.

omg why do i have to wait until april 17 to see all new episodes of smallville. i know u guys want to me to frak out until april 17. couldn't u guys set an earlier day.
i strongly advise if you are not bringing new episodes of smallville show epsodoes of previous seasons. at least we will be patient.

I think you guys need to be happy these shows are coming back on. Well I'm so excited that Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill are coming back on. I'm kind of lost on One Tree Hill though because this is the first season I've watched, but I'm getting hooked!lol

the new episodes starting April 24th of OTH better be better than the ones I am watching right now. these episodes right now are heart breaking! they are ruining the love between the two soul mates and putting a hot nanny in the way of haley and nathan's marriage! this all better get fixed haha! can't wait for these episodes though and the same with supernatural and the yumminess of Sam and Dean

It sucks that after the the Supernatural episodes are over, they aren't on the new schdule lineup. I hope they come back. Having Superman and the Winchesters back to back is the best lineup on Thursday night.

Of course I'd love to have more episodes of Supernatural but I'll take what I can get! I'm sure the cast and crew are going to put their hearts and souls into those 4 episodes. I can't wait!!

Yeah, I'm thinking the strike may throw off the timeline a bit. But then again Kripke and his band of merry minions are geniuses and I think that they will be able to pull something off. We may have to wait until next season gets going to get to that resolution though and as much as I HATE to wait I would rather it be well planned and executed (sorry 'bout the pun) then rushed and sloppy. They have GOT to save that boy!

This is great news. Mel, it is more in the hands of the Production company. I think you will find the Network would have paid more but there is a cutoff time with the season I guess.
Kripke did say in interviews he was not going to try and squeeze in for the sake of it and they wouldn't want to scrimp on the quality. This is probably all they can manage in the timeframe. They nearly had ep 13 ready to go before the strike. So they are going to be writing/filming/editing/going to air in pretty quick succession.
