Lucas and Peyton were written to be together. Just be happy that Brooke is still on the show and that she has someone that loves her and that she loves..... At least you still have Brooke.

Seriously, the majority of the posters are pathetic. First of all, just because LP are both blonde doesn't make them look like brother and sister... hell, if you want to go that way then you can say the same for Naley, after all they are both brunettes. Just because your bitter that your couple doesn't end up together doesn't give you the right to knock the other ship and fanbase. Calling Leyton Pucas..... wow, should I be calling BL BrcASS then?

At least you guys still have Brooke on the show for s7!! Us, LPers, lost both of our characters.

lucas and peyton were CREATED to be together. i HONESTLY belive mark wrote their characters to end up together. lucas and brooke was just a side note for lucas to finally figure out how much in love with peyton he was and always will be. you dont just write books (two actually) about random ppl, you dont HAPPEN to save their lives and you dont come back to life for someone you dont love. peyton is the reason for lucas' existence and vice versa and its a beautiful thing to witness. TRUE LOVE ALWAYS

I can’t say that my faith in a Brucas reunion is strong right now, or even the faith of the Brucas camp in general, but I think what makes this group special is the HOPE for that reunion, however slight it may be, that we all keep alive in our own ways. We are all dedicated to not accepting Lucas’s true happiness as being with any other woman but Brooke. That is what keeps up my spirits, when it all comes down to it, deep down I know that NO ONE other than Brucas has the “look”. You know that feeling that you had watching the first time Brooke and Lucas truly saw each other for who they really were. It’s the same look that Brucas has shared ever since. Couple or not, those two share an unspoken truth…of desire and belonging, of understanding and completeness, of dreams and sacrifice, of memories and most of all of LOVE, every time their eyes meet. I know that Brooke and Lucas are not perfect, no one is…but they are perfect for each other. Mouth said it best, they share the same heart! So call me crazy, but then you’ll have to call Mickei, and I’m sure a hell of alot more Brucasers, crazy too! Because the “look” is what separates the good couples from the great couples! Some couples can get away with not having the “look” and still be special in our hearts, but most of the times if the chemistry is not there, its just not there, and its not just gonna appear out of thin air no matter how much fluff and cheese is thrown their way. IMO that “look” is why I can’t accept anyone else with Luke, it’s why despite my better efforts I cannot appreciate Leyton’s story, or journey. The way I see it…if Mark can’t take one look at Brucas six seasons into OTH and see that they are the truly epic love story…if he won’t believe that Brucas should find their way back in the end because THEY are meant to be…if he won’t admit that NO ONE, not even he, can decide who falls in love with who…HE is clearly blind…because as Lucas reminded us all once “the heart has reasons that reason cannot know,” and Gus also assured us that you don’t find love…that love finds you…and love, my friends, well it found Brucas a long time ago…

It found them that night they stood on Lucas’s doorsteps, while he and his pretty girl exchanged “I love yous” for the first time. It found them in the rain as he explained to her the difference between her and Peyton is that he loves HER, that he wants to be with HER not Peyton, his reason he told her “ because you kink your eyebrows when you’re trying to be cute. Because you quote Kmo even though I’ve actually never seen you read. Because you miss your parents, but you never admit that! And because I’ve given exactly two of these embarrassing speeches, and they’ve both been with you. And because we’re both gonna get pneumonia, but if you, need to hear why I love you, I can go on all night! Love followed them through the good and the bad times, sometimes it appeared as only a glimmer maybe as a brief memory of the way things were, or how they could have been… other times it claimed the spotlight, such as it did when love caught up with them years later in NYC while they road in that carriage, effortlessly explaining their future as a power couple… “He is going to be a famous novelist, and I’m going to have a fabulous fashion line.” She said to the carriage driver…”But we are still going to have time to have a big family, he added… “Two boys, and a girl” she affirmed, “And I’ll coach little league” he replied gazing into her eyes, ”Uu! And I’ll bake treats for the team, she shrieked… “or buy them,” she admitted, ”And we will spend our summers in our beach house.” He proposed. “And winters in the southern France” She added, “It won’t matter where we are, as long as we are together” He proclaimed…they both looked at each other smiling. It was clear in that moment how easily love found Brooke and Lucas and how quickly they could fall back into that feeling…but the fear of that realization hit even harder, and that night Brooke and Lucas vowed to pour themselves into their work and tried to move on with their lives. As fate would have it, years later Brooke came back to Tree Hill. She and Lucas fell right back into old habits of comfort and assurance, but when hardships and heartache threatened to break these two, it was their love for each other that found them on the brink of disaster, pulled them together, and would eventually save them as love once again found its way to Brucas… as they sat on her couch she realized how lucky they were to have each other and began to address him “we’ve been through a lot the two of us…but I know I wouldn’t have made it through a lot of those days with out you.” “Here,” she said, she handed him Angie’s purple monkey as he was about to leave, “I love you, Lucas Scott, you know that?” “I love you, too, Brooke Davis” He said before he walked out of her house.
Yes…Brucas will always love each other, and that “look” they share is all the evidence I need… She is vulnerable, yet beautiful, brilliant, and brave, in his eyes alone…and he is the guy, the only guy, she would have lost it all for… their love story reminds me of how true Brooke’s words were when she spoke at Naley’s wedding, when she said “Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. When life gets hard, when things change, true love remains the same.” There are no truer words, IMO, to speak of the love that Brooke and Lucas share than those that Brooke borrowed that day from Shakespeare. And as she looked at Naley that day, and told them that “they made her feel safe…because they gave her hope, that feeling that everything’s going to be okay and that there’s going to be someone there to help make sure of that.” Well, Brucas gives me that hope, that feeling that no matter how hard you try to push it away, deny it, or hide from it…love finds a way in…you can’t control it, and even time won’t extinguish it…once its there and settled, its there forever, engraved in the hearts of those who share it.

i heard that lucas and peayton might not come back in season 7 if that is the case you might as well stop the show because brook lucas and peyton are the show!!!!

I think the thought of Brooke and Lucas is dumb...that is soo 2nd season...they dont even think about each other....the point of this show was for Leyton and it should stay that way...remember that the only reason Brooke got Lucas was because even though Peyton liked him first, she was with Nathan so Brooke got him. It was just a high school thing. After Whitey's speech they knew they weren't meant to be together. you would think that after a speech like that they would think about their future together but all it did was make them realize they weren't supposed to be together. both of them realized!!! not just one. The thought of Lucas and Brooke being together is just stupid.

I want to start by congratulating Mark and everyone else involved in the making for doing such an amazing job over the years, this has been truly an amazing and certainly one of a kind show.

I wasn't sure where to write...but i wanted to express my concern somewhere so I'm choosing here. I would NEVER want this show to end and im TERRIFIED that it's slowly coming to that...PLEASE don't give up on us! I've been watching the dvds while at the same time of course watching every single new episode...but i feel like there's so many things missing! I miss singing along to an intro song...i miss each episode opening and ending with some deep and connected quote usually voiced over by lucas...i miss all of the adults in the show...i miss the DRAMA..i feel like EVERYONE is so nice and loving when there needs to be juicy drama going on! I miss them all being fun, i know its 4 years later but that makes them like 21 and to me they act like 35. Most 21 yr olds i know are still in college or finishing it...just starting their careers. Everyone on the show is like rich or made it already or married or has a family and isn't struggling. I want to be able to connect...even though it's 4 years later I'M still only 18 ! I miss peyton drawing so much, i don't know why she doesn't anymore? I miss Brooke being fun and brooke-like and boy crazy. I miss DAN or an evil character in general. I miss Lucas playing basketball...i know he coaches but he used to love it just as much as nathan even though he has a heart problem. Can't they both play on a team again or something? I have so many new ideas too i just hope that the passion in the writing stays and that the episodes don't all become about promoting up and coming artists.

Like everyone else writing on here I love this show and I am nothing but a fan, I haven't missed an episode since it came out my freshman year of high school and will continue to keep watching! The fans will of course never give up on OTH...just don't give up on us!

1) he's proposed to her not once, but TWICE... which clearly shows that she is the one that he truly wants to be with
2) he wrote not one, but TWO books about his love for PEYTON.. how many books has he written about Brooke?
3) his words in his first novel: "at that moment my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity. the REALIZATION that we had ALWAYS been meant for eachother and EVERY INSTINCT TO THE CONTRARY had simply been a DENIAL of the following truth, i was now and would ALWAYS BE in love with PEYTON SAWYER"... every instinct to the contrary includes him and Brooke!
4) PEYTON has been the one that he's had feelings for ever since the PILOT!
5) he CHOSE to save her countless times "you didn't just happen to save her a few times. Peyton happened to be there, but you CHOSE to be there" -Skills to Lucas
6) his love for her brought him back to life. in season 4 after his heart attack he told her "and i didn't die, do you know why? because i had to come back and look into those green eyes of yours, and tell you that i love you. you didn't push me away, i came back for you"
7) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, in season 4 after the bball banquet, both Lucas AND Brooke acknowledged that when Whitey was making his speech about the love he had for his wife, he WASN'T talking about the love that Brucas had! and that's when they BOTH realized that it's over and that they're better off as friends!

as i said before, those are just a few of the reasons why they should be together.. i could go on and on!

lol "BRUCAS", you're forgetting one thing. as Brooke was saying that, Lucas was thinking about PEYTON, because it was during the time when Lucas was trying to be with her, NOT Brooke. and secondly, Mark put that quote in the show for a reason, to show that people that are meant to be together really do find their way in the end... AND Mark has said himself that since the pilot, they have "designed a world where Lucas and PEYTON are meant to be". So clearly if Mark knows Lucas and Peyton are meant to be... then he put that quote in the show referring to them, not Brucas! :)

But in all fairness... the JOURNEY that the show has taken ALSO supports Leyton. Just because Brucas got together doesn't mean that Lucas and Peyton are meant to be together any less. The fact that Lucas and Peyton STILL ended up together, despite of Brucas says a lot. Brucas was only together in high school. Yeah they had their cute moments, but you have to look at how they ended things, and the note that they ended on. They BOTH acknowledged that they just weren't in love anymore and that they were better off as friends. They both also agreed that when Whitey was making his speech about the love between him and his late wife at the basketball banquet, he WASN'T talking about the love that Brucas had. they were just a typical high school relationship. Leyton is SO much more than that... which is why Mark will do the right thing and end it with LEYTON! Peyton has gotten not one, but TWO proposals for a reason. Peyton has also gotten not one book about his love for her, but TWO books about his love for her for a reason. How many proposals or books has Brooke gotten? None, because Brucas was only high school!

This video at least made me feel A LITTLE better not because there *may* be hope for Brucas (even though that would be amazing in my opinion) but because he "claims" he's not just sticking to an idea he had about a show and refusing to change it.

i think that everyone can agree that INITIALLY the show was created thinking that peyton was nathans girlfriend and then that these two brothers were gonna fight over peyton, but then lucas would be with her in the end- or at least thats how they advertised the show when it first started. but then brooke and lucas's relationship changed all that. i feel like sometimes a creator of a show may have an inital vision of what he wants...but he has to be able to alter this vision and adapt this vision to the direction the show actually goes in. yes the show was created thinking about lucas and peyton...but then the actors and chemistry of certain characters took a hold of that vision and changed it. it's important for a creator to be able to adapt that vision to the journey of the show. and this journey has demonstrated that brooke and lucas have more chemistry than most couples on television- their passion has surprised everyone i think, even the writers. i have heard lucas and peyton say powerful things to each other, but i never really get so involved (they said "i love you" but i dont FEEL that "i love you") Mark Schwahn should be proud that OTH has been so successful and even if it is not what he had originally planned...it has become so much more because of the actors and characters chemistry! it would be unjust to the show not to acknowledge the love between brooke and lucas...im not saying that leyton fans are wrong or that leyton doesnt deserve a happy ending...i just think that ignoring the fact that brooke and lucas had a relationship that was so deep and powerful, is an injustice to the show.

however, now that peyton and lucas are engaged...i dont see how brooke and lucas can be together without there being an annoying heartbreaking love triangle.

so i propose that none of them end up together. nathan and haley being the only couple among the core group. although i loved seeing brooke and lucas together more, i did like watching lucas brooke and peyton just being friends at the beginning of the second season. .....or....peyton realizing that she just loves the idea of lucas (which isnt SOOOO far off since they touched upon that in season 5) and lucas realizing that he proposed to peyton because he was so hurt by lindsey and peyton was telling him she loved him, so he wanted that love and security so he just turned to her for that reason. which then leaves room for a wonderfully relationship with brooke and lucas :-) haha but ok, maybe they should then just all be friends.

i hope mark schwahn really stays true to the journey the show has taken and not just his intial vision of the show...

I think leyton belong together!!! If you look at them they seem to always end up together! One tree hill is about alot of things and i love it but for me at the end it always ends up leyton!!! I'm for leyton they belong together and deep down in lucas heat he knows that payton is for him!!!

Brucas are such an interseting couple and they liven up the screen. Leyton are way too typical for me, I've seen the likes of them a thousand times.

Leyton really seem to be true love. But he always seems to be confused and never knows which way to go. He goes back and forth through girls why cant he just stick with them. Nathan never switched from girl to girl only lucas. But anywho i like leyton so hopefully they shall end together.

I just don't get why the 'Brucas' storyline was so drawn out and built up just to be ended so suddenly again because of Peyton.

It doesn't even really make sense because Peyton really loved Jake, after re-watching the earlier seasons I saw Peyton give up her chance with Lucas and watch her feelings grow for Jake.

I mean wth? Lucas had that destiny shot and the letters and the kissing in the rain etc with Brooke, so why did the creator throw all that away so Lucas could get back with Peyton yet again?

It kind of makes a viewer feel like there is no such thing as love and all boys are players because Lucas confesses love he never had with Peyton and then does the same when he's with the latter. Oh dear.

Could it be possible that the 'Brucas' storyline was cut short when Sophia and Chad broke up??? It would be might hard to kiss your ex husband.

OK, I am probably one of the oldest OTH fans out here (28) but come on, lucas and peyton seem like brother and sister, no chemistry at all. but just the way brooke looks at Lucas, how they engage each other, they need to get a way back together. Forget it if peyton gets mad this time. i think mark has set it up so lucas and brooke never happen, although he throws a little bit of hope here and there (3rd show this season where him and brooke kiss and pretend to be engaged, what was up with that?). i truly wish they would get back together and have a family. after all the show is about drama at its best, what better way to show more drama than that?....

U kno marks an idiot, cuz in season 3 he didnt just say it he PROVED brucas are meant to be and now he made the show crap cuz he just rushed everything and made it so unrealistic so he cud put his precious peyton with lucas. even tho it looks so wrong, rushed and he messed it up he made it seem like brucas was nothing when really BL are meant to be and Lucas proved it with the destiny shot and BL will always be real and endgame. true love forever! I think Mark knows what he is doing he is goona bring leyton back for awhile and show everyone that no matter what they do lucas and peyton can not make a realationship work. So he is gonna show lots of flashbacks till when Luke was with Brooke and how great they are together and if it wasn't for Peyton they would of never broken up in the first place and would probly be married with a child on the way.Then by the end of the show you will see Lucas u.Scott and Brooke p.Davis confesing theit love for each other again.

I don´t know why the hell some LP fans are pining over end game couple when it´s clear that LP are going to happen, it´s just a matter of time. I know it you know it everybody knows it. We´re never getting brucas ever again, how the hell do you guys think we feel? Just take it easy and lay back. This whole thing is so predictable.

I think the possibilities are what keeps all the fans interested, and I understand that you can't put everything on the table because there would be nothing left for the rest of the episodes. I just hope that Mark stays true to the consistency of building the relationship between Lucas and Peyton and shows that true love perseveres, even though it has been pretty messed up at times. I know drama sparks interest, and no offense to the Brucas fans but, I think at this point in their lives it would be pointless for Lucas to go back to Brook when he called it off with her because he truely loved Peyton to begin with. They are all older now and hopefully wiser, and at some point you have to put an end to the love triangle. I think it would be nice to see the idea of true love realized. I know there are some of you questioning the true love part, but I just think that there is something in Leyton's characters that are drawn to eachother. I think it would be tragic if they did not end up together.

Erm, I always thought that Leyton has no chemistry together. I mean, they look like brother & sister. Brucas on the other hand steals the show every time. Just my humble opinion..

I hate Leyton, but love Brucas. Which is why i haven't watched a single episode of OTH since 4x09. That was the last episode i saw. Why? BECAUSE OF LEYTON! They have no chemistry.

i was always a brucas fan and i hated when peyton was with him. but now im changing into a leyton fan. brooke can do way better than lucas. peyton loves him enough to screw over her best friend twice and try to break up lucas and lindseys engagement lol. i love peyton but brooke is my girl. lucas and peyton will always have chemistry and something special for the other but is it enough to keep them together? p.s. nathan is the love of my life!

ok i love mark schwan for making this show because honestly it is a part of me..i am the biggest LEYTON fan out there and i kno that no matter what happens they are meant to be and will always love eachother...brucas was a highschool fling where u get drunk get tattoos and have sex whereas leyton is so much more than that..they belong together...even tho i hate lindsay and lucas being together, i am so happy that mark schwan finally made peyton be independent...she is my turning out to be the girl i always knew she could..the fact that she told lucas that she will sacrifice her love for him makes me so proud of her because in the end all she wants is to see him happy which is what someone does if they really love some one.. which peyton does !!! i guess i juss relle love peyton and i am so proud of her for coming so far considering her past and she is just awesome!!!

This interview definetely gave me hope that there may be another chance for Brucas in the future. I have no problem with Leyton... well actually thats a lie, I do have a problem with their relationship, but that isnt the reason why I havent been as devoted to the show this season. I miss the drama the show had in the first season. I miss Karen, and Keith, and Jake, and figuring out what the characters were like. I miss the family dynamic, but I also miss the drama, and the fact that the show wasnt always about dating back then. But this season, everything is soo different. Don't get me wrong, i understand why things have changed, I mean the show wouldnt make sense if it hadnt. The characters are growing up, and in some ways growing apart, but I cant help the nagging feeling that i get in the back of my head everytime I see a Leyton scene, or a Lucas and Linday scene, or even a Nathan and nanny scene.

Basically what i'm trying to say is that I miss the drama of season 1 (and even season 2), I like the growth of the characters, and I like the new characters, but I cant help but wonder: what if. What if Brucas came back.....

when you love someone sometimes you tell white lies to protect them or are afraid of hurting them. and brooke had a reason to feel insecure (lucas knew that from his MISTAKE with peyton) so lucas was letting her in as much as he could and given time he could've let her in even MORE. the only time pucas were together was they they lied and cheated and hurt others and THAT isn't true love. you have a lot to learn, you pathetic little girl.

He had no probelm letting Peyton in. Leyton have a deep connection that nobody can touch. Go back to season 1, he didnt even know Brook was alive. Leyon are the ones that are meant to be. I like Brook but she is not for Lucas. Mark, you know Leyton should be together. For those of you threatening to stop watching the show, that is dumb. Not everything can go your way.

I am glad that Mark has acknowledged the chemistry between Lucas/Chad & Brooke/Sophia. funny how he didn't mention Peyton & Lucas chemistry. Probably because Peyton & Lucas was how he started it and he realized that it didn't look right. They do look related and they are flat and boring together on screen. but when they aren't together, Peyton makes you feel what she feels.

I say bring Jake back because Peyton was hella happy when she was with him. It would make more sense since she's always been missing the family-aspect. Jake and Jenny will fill that void. The fact that he's a musician, they were good friends before they got together AND Jenny called her mama...PERFECT COUPLE.

geez there's so much leyton brucas drama in here. I loved Lucas's and Brooke's relationship when it was going on and I loved it when it was Lucas and Peyton. I am more of a leyton fan though just because i think there relationship seems so deep. But honestly i think it sucks that people would stop watching the show just because it doesnt go exactly how they want it to. No matter who is with who I would still watch the show and love it every single week. Honestly Lucas could turn out gay and marry Tim and I would still love this show.

That being said, I think its kind of pointless to speculate as to who Lucas is going to end up with since we're not even halfway through the season yet.

I like Lucas and Brooke but I also like to see Lucas playing the field...that way he will be SURE about the one...whichever one he ends up with.

I love LP, and it is obvious that Mark has a big soft spot for them. Despite their flaws, I love the way he has written them, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
He can skirt around the obvious all he want, it doesn't change how i think this show will end.

Naika- I agree with you on everything except Peyton deserving better. Peyton is a wolf in sheep's clothing; a conniving selfish hag who only cares about her own happiness even if she screws over those who try (it is impossible) to love her. She doesn't deserve Brooke or Lucas or Jake or anyone. Luacs and Brooke's chemistry is phenomenal. They're interesting and sweet and real and inspiring. Brooke is the only person who could (presently) whip Lucas' ass and turn him into the man she deserves.

I basically skipped the whole season 4 because I did not want to watch Lucas and Peyton together. They are just totally blah. This season I fastforward through Pucas and really love bits with Brooke.

I used to really like Peyton when she went to Jake and wanted to stay with him, when she gave crap to Haley for leaving, but she really turns into a selfcentered bitch when Pucas storylines start.

Lucas, seriously is a boneless shmuck! I think both girls deserve muuuch better!

It is nice to see Mark admit Sophia and Chad and Brooke and Lucas have chemistry and quite possibly have a future together, or at least that Mark is open to writing one. The are by far the most interesting duo to watch, with the most passion and intrigue. Putting Pucas together at the end (calling them Pucas, by the way, is hardly immature,) would be a travesty. They do look very similar, beyond the blond hair and they're so dull and drab together. Nor do they bring out the best in one another. They always have to lie and cheat to be together and I do not think that is the message Mark wishes to send; that is NOT true love.

I have been a Leyton fan since the pilot episode. I love this season of one tree hill. Leyton doesn't have to be together for the show to be interesting or exciting. I think the writer's do an awesome job with the show. I really hope that Leyton ends up together but I would not stop watching the show if they didn't. I don't like Brucas never really have but Mark is definately right, Chad and Sophia definately have chemistry and they are both great, but Chad and Hilarie also have awesome chemistry. I think Hilarie has done an amazing job with her acting this season. She's always been good but she's really good this year. Chad is awesome as usual, as is the rest of the cast. I don't think that Mark or the writer's are trying to downplay season 3 or brucas's relationship at all. Honestly the show was written so far to show that Lucas feel in love with peyton first and ever since has wanted to be with her. lucas going back and forth between brooke and peyton, and now peyton and lindsey, is just how lucas is written to be. He's been hiding from his feelings for Peyton since season one, it's no surprise he'd be like he is now. I have to say Lucas has been my favorite character since the pilot episode and he still is. I think the writer's do an excellent job writing this show and in no way are they trying to downplay brucas. It is clear that Lucas really did love Brooke. No I don't believe brucas is meant to be an endgame couple, I'm a diehard Leyton fan but I wouldn't stop watching just because the writer's decided to brucas back together or because lucas is now with lindsey, in fact lucas and peyton are great even when they aren't a couple.
And for real if you believe Lucas and Peyton were endgame from the time Mark wrote the pilot episode why would you be so mad if it ended that way. I find it quite entertaining that people say that the shows always been written to have leyton as an endgame couple but are then mad that brucas is over....kinda ironic when you think about it.

Mark Shwan still didn't clear anything up between Brucas/Leyton. He basically said that Lucas/Peyton are meant to be but because Chad/Sophia have great chemistry we never know.

I mean Mark really was just basically trying to make both camps happy by saying 'you never know' but we all know it's going to be Leyton because Mark Shwan created them to be endgame for the original movie and the show and the way he wrote everything proves it.

He had written a part where Lucas is talking to Glenda? So I'm not sure her name but anywas so he brought her to the Library where Peyton and Lucas had hid in during the shooting. He said to her that he was lying to himself how he felt about Peyton all along, that basically meant I was wrong I wanted Peyton and not Brooke. I mean Mark basically wrote it like season 3 meant nothing for Brucas. And when he said it's Brooke that is with him when all his dreams come ture and then takes it back and says it's Peyton. So I really feel like Mark stabbed Brucas fans in the back.

To end it off, I don't belive Mark, Leyton will end up together so no point in lying and Brucas fans got screwed over.
