AMY, I completely agree with everthything you said.

Leytoners, answer these question, for me;

1)If the Brucas fanbase is still bigger than the LP one, yet everybody on the show is cheerleading for LP, doesn't this show just how HOPELESS the couple is to the fans? There are about 5 or 6 die hard Leyton fans, wheras everybody I know, no exaggeration, are Brucasers. If Leyton are endgame, then Mark would be upsetting alot more fans and getting ALOT more venomous hate mail, and nasty parcels than in Brucas were.

2) If Leyton WERE so "in Love" how can Peyton PROPOSE to Jake, and be ready to drop everything and move to Savannah in HIGH SCHOOL senior year, yet after graduating, when LUCAS proposes in a desparate bid not to ruin another relationship, she can't even accept?

Brucas's chemistry sets the screen on fire, like Whitney said. Lucas wouldn't be with Peyton now if Brooke hadn't let him go. On that subject:

Quote "I love you, Lucas. And I probably always will."

Leyton have ABSOLUTELY no chemistry at all whereas Brucas set the screen on fire everytime their together. I know people who've never even seen the show before but think that Brooke and Lucas have total chemistry everytime their shown on screen. I sometimes make my friends and cousins watch the show with me (even though their not fans at all) but even they think that Brucas totally belong together just by looking at their chemistry.

Lucas was never in love with Peyton from the very beginning. It wasn't love but instead, it was lust and infatuation. His FIRST love was BROOKE. I'm not saying that Lucas didn't love Peyton during season 4 or whatever, but what I am saying is that BROOKE DAVIS was his very first love.

And yeah, Brooke DID know that Peyton liked Lucas but she ASKED Peyton first if it was alright to go out with Lucas and Peyton basically told her to her guest. The point is that Brooke did give the both of them a chance to be together but neither Lucas nor Peyton took that chance and instead decided to cheat on Brooke.

I even have a hard time enjoying Peyton and Brooke's friendship because I've been watching this show since season 1 and I've always felt that Brooke has been a MUCH better friend to Peyton than Peyton had been to her. Its still obvious that Brooke has some feelings for Lucas but she refuses to do anything about them just because she knows that Peyton is still in love with Lucas and I ADMIRE her for that. Had it been the other way around, Peyton would've probably screwed over Brooke.....again....and gone after Lucas.

leyton is just 2 boring , i've seen countless times that the girl and the boy from pilot are "meant to be" and will get together . It just makes no sense at all anymore . The reason i watch OTH is different and better than other series so why make look like other crap ?

I completely agree with the fact that Peyton and Lucas were meant to be together since day one of the show. He always had a thing for her and crazily enough he ended up with her best friend... Now call me crazy but does anyone else see something wrong with that? What best friends steal and share boyfriends?!?! that is breaking the girl code and enough is enough! Peyton and Lucas belong together and Brooke deserves a nice, selfless, sexy man who is going to adore her and care for her physically, mentally and emotionally. Lucas does NOT deserve Brooke at all. He's played his games with her head and her heart. He had his chance and messed it up. Not to mention Brooke is famous and can have whatever sexy man she wants whether he's famous or not so why should she pine over Lucas a second longer? So I vote keep Lucas and Peyton together let them live happily ever after once and for all and Let Brooke be swept off her feet by a real man.

Ok, to the people saying not everyone is a leyton fan...well i've got news for you...not everyone is a brucas fan...from the beginning Lucas has been IN LOVE with PEYTON...Brooke came in the picture and thought he was hot...she knew he liked PEYTON and still went after him...and don't get me wrong I LOVE BROOK PENENLOPE DAVIS...But everyone knows that LUKE is IN LOVE with PEYTON...YOU GUYS ARE JUST IN DENIAL...Even BROOKE said it's always been LUCAS and PEYTON...Has anyone seen how LUCAS is always at her RESCUE...no matter what...they always had scenes together...and yeah they have scenes in season 5 where it's BROOK LUCAS AND BABY ANGIE...but he's just being there for her...Does anybody remember when they were in honey groove, TEXAS and BROOKE said I know we can't be friends like before but maybe be can be better...BROOKE knows how much PEYTON loves LUCAS and he LOVES her...She wouldn't do that to PEYTON...She is so not like that...SO YOU GUYS STEP OUT OF DENIAL AND WATCH THE SHOW. PLEASE.....BRUCAS ARE FARRRRRR FROM DEAD. They have the most chemistry that I have ever seen and Mark and the other writers can try and make Leyton look like an "epic love story" all they want. But in my eyes, they will be anything but an epic love story. They just make a really weird couple. I might sound harsh and all, but the truth is, I don't find ANYTHING the least but attractive about Leyton,whereas, Brucas screams hotness and love. But hey, thats just me, I'm sure that Leyton fans will disagree.

PS....the reason Lucas cheated on Brooke 3 times is simply because he is an idiot....not because he was so "in love" with Peyton at the time that he just had to go and cheat on Brooke. While the first time that Peyton and Lucas cheated, had been both of their faults, the second time had been strictly Peytons fault cuz the damn girl never knows what she wants.

And whether your a Brucas fan or a Leyton fan...you gotta admit that Lucas has some serious issues when it comes to women. When he's with Brooke, he cheats on her with Peyton. When he's supposedly all in love with Lindsey and almost even marries her, he's all like "I love Lindsey"........or "is it Peyton?"

I don't even think he knows what the word LOVE actaully even means.

peyton and lucas are so meant to be!!! if he truly loved brooke then why did he cheat on her with peyton like 3 times. common since he is truly in love wth peyton..yeeah i may not agree with how peyton and lucas handled their love while he was with brooke.. but they are meant to be and will be together. brooke and lucas are dead. they have chemistry but thats it. they threw in the towel cause they knew it would never work cause leyton was meant to be.. just remember brooke is hopefully moving forward with owen they make a truly cute couple and hopefully they settle down together. but who knows clean teen is back in the picture..

OMG, some of the Brucas fans posts are so awful! I love Peyton AND Brooke. The BP frienship is wonderful this year! I haven't seen many Leyton or Peyton fans being as nasty and hateful as a few of these posts. You should be ashamed - it's a TV show for heaven's sake! Support your faves, but, don't be hateful.

ok, i totally agree with amy. one of my best friends just started watching one tree hill (season 5) and she loves petyon+lucas, and she doesnt understand why i want brooke and lucas to be together. you have to watch season, 2,3, and parts of season 4. the producers must have forgot that even through everything brooke and lucas have gone through they always seemed to fall for each other! [all the letters brooke wrote for lucas, season 3, and lucas's speeches..etc.] they are meant to be. lindasy needs to get out of the story and have lucas realize that he loves brooke. but even if brucas do get back together i have a feeling it wont be in this season just because theres too much of this drama with peyton! and through-out all 5 seasons peyton has pushed lucas away, and if u loved him so much why didnt you say yes when he asked you to marry him!

Ummmm....no. You're not the only one watching the show. A lot of us are and if some people are Peyton fans then good for them. Yeah things don't always work out but thats because some people are too stupid or too slow to not realize what a good thing they have when they see it. This is why the relationship between Peyton and Lucas DOES NOT SEEM REAL. Yeah sure, at one point I could've seen them together and I know that Mark probably always believed that Peyton and Lucas were made for eachother. However, things change. When Brooke came on the show, I saw the chemistry between Brooke and Lucas and instantly knew that they should be together for a million reasons. Peyton constantly pushed Lucas away and, no it was not because of any pain she may have been suffering at the time or whatever else anyone would like to believe. She's the one to blame for almost every bad thing thats ever happened to her. Like that stalker thing: Who the hell told her to sit there in her room all day with that damn webcam on for the whole world to see what the hell she was doing??? She invited Derek to stalk her bony ass. And NO she did NOT always love Luke. She didn't realize that she loved Luke until the second half of season 3 when he was HAPPILY dating Brooke. Has anyone else noticed that she always seems to want Lucas when he is with someone else??? You want to know who's always loved Lucas??? The answer is Brooke.
And whats this with Peyton always the one being hurt??? Has anyone ever considered the number of people that she's hurt??? How about Brooke for example??? HER BEST FRIEND. She didn't hurt Brooke once but numerous times and I'd actually like someone to challenge me on that because I KNOW that I am not wrong here. I've been watching the show just like everyone else and no one has a bigger heart on this show than BROOKE and she's repeatedly proven it. I'll admit...Brooke is not perfect, no one is. And if you do know someone who is, then I would really like to meet them. Brooke started off on a rocky path in the beginning of high school, thats evident from watching the first few episodes of season 1. But after that, we see her grow into a compassionate, smart, and intelligent person. And look at her now in season 5, she's the most successful out of everybody. Peyton had repeatedly backstabbed Brooke and here's a list of some of the many times she did so, in case anyone forgot:
1) Season 1- Brooke finds herself falling hard for Lucas and she even tells Peyton. AND Brooke even asks her if she's o.k. with them dating and Peyton says YES. But Peyton being the wonderful friend she is, cheats with Lucas behind Brookes back. Its not Brookes fault that Peyton realized that she wanted Lucas AFTER he was now dating Brooke. You never do that to your best friend. And I'm pretty sure that some people are probably going to bring up the whole Nathan and Brooke thing right now. Lets clear that up for a minute....Nathan and Peyton had been broken up, Nathan and Brooke were both drunk off their ass's to the point that Brooke didn't even remember any of it happening, and like I said earlier, Brooke was immature during the very beginning of season 1 but that quickly changed after she met Lucas and started to get her life together. But I'm pretty sure that some people are still going to say that Brooke was wrong but whatever because I definitely don't agree since Peyton had been completely sober while she and Lucas had been cheating behind Brookes back more than once before Brooke finally found out.
2) Season 3- Brooke is now madly in love with Lucas. But once again, Peyton kisses him in the library while telling him she loves him. But wait....theres more....she then proceeds to tell Brooke that she still has feelings for Lucas completely shattering Brookes heart. And then she latches on like a leach on to Lucas from then on.
There's plenty more but I don't feel like sitting here forever and typing it all out.
The point is Brooke is the one with the beautiful heart. She's the one who's always helping people out. She's the reason that Peyton was actually able to so something with herself instead of sitting there on her ass and whining about how the world is against her and how shes given up and blah, blah, blah. Brooke is the one who pushed Peyton to finally do something with her life while lending her a huge amount of cash to get started. If hadn't been for Brooke, then Peyton would probably be living in a cardboard box or something in the middle of nowhere.
In my eyes, Brooke and Lucas BELONG TOGETHER......ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL. All Peyton and Lucas ever do is hurt everyone around them including each other. Their toxic together. Yeah sure, Mark wanted and probably still wants for Lucas and Peyton to end up together but I guess what he doesn't realize is that ever since Brooke came into the picture, its been very hard and nauseating to watch Lucas and Peyton together. Like I said, things change. Look at Dawsons Creek for example, it was always supposed to be Dawson and Joey together but then the writers and producers realized that Pacy and Joey made more sense as the seasons progressed. And the same thing goes for the whole Brooke, Lucas, and Peyton triangle. The original plan always was to have Peyton and Lucas together but when Brucas started dating, people began to realize that Brucas were amazing together which is why they have a huge fanbase today. I just hope that the writers will also realize that and soon. Season 5 makes NO SENSE because by the dialogue so far this season its as if the writers are trying to make us forget that Brucas even existed. All we ever hear is this Leyton crap. Do any of them even remember season 2 and 3 AND the beginning of season 4 when Lucas spent so long pining over Brooke and then when they finally started dating again??? What about all those speeches he made declaring his love for Brooke and the now very famous line, "I'm the guy for you Brooke Davis." But now, the writers have written season 5 so far trying to convince everyone by saying that Lucas has always loved Peyton.....I mean come on.....do the writers really think that we're that stupid or did they completely sleep through season 2 and 3??? This is why I will NEVER EVER believe in Leyton. They were literally shoved down our throats in season 4 with the way they got together so fast. Leyton fans will most likely not agree with what I'm saying but whatever, this is MY opinion and I'm entitled to it. (However, I know that there are many others including Brucas fans who would tend to agree with me). And lets face it, once you Brucas, you can't go back.

Things don't always work out, sure, and the fact that Luke and Peyton are not still together is one of the things that makes this show seem real.

She has always loved Luke, their characters were created for eachother.. HOWEVER Peyton's personality and pain throughout the show, made her scared to confess these feelings.. plus there was that whole thing about her best friend dating Luke.. That must've been hard for her.. I remember being amazed that Brooke could be as selfish and blind as not to see how Peyton really felt about Lucas. They were best friends and all. Things and people change however, and Brooke has become very good at seeing things like that now, applause to her.. she's a sweet character for sure.. rooting for her to be with the bartender though..

Jake, what a hot guy.. a shame she was just hiding with him..

Hilarie does a really amazing job acting on the show, and she should be applauded for that! So does everyone else! So they should too!

O.k first of all, Leyton is like pure vomit which is why they're also referred to as Pucas. I hate Hilarie and hate Peyton as well. I'm not trying to be harsh, but I'm just speaking the truth. All of a sudden she's talking about how Leyton are meant to be or whatever. But what about when she was Jake?? Well according to her, when Jake and Peyon were together on the show, she always used to talk about how they were the best couple and that they represented true love or whatever. So she should really stop and think before she opens her mouth to talk. Because she's just contradicting herself over, and over, and over, and over again. Do you get the picture???

okay firstly I like hillarie but Im not a leyton fan and I seriously cant stand the way the CW push the leyton thing and its basically like to hell with people who ship other couples as we apparantly dont matter it sucks majorly .Its her opinion and shes allowed one but stil I really cant stand LP together and she says something about how highschool relationships rarely last? well lets put it this way either do relationships based on cheating,lies and hurting others?
