Smallville: Girl Power
Whoa! Now THAT was an action-packed episode of Smallville! Clark kidnapped, Lionel exposed, Dr. Swann’s daughter appearing, Lana and Chloe working together, Lex preparing to dig into Kara’s brain, and in impromptu field trip to the Fortress of Solitude thrown in for good measure. Not bad!
Clark learns there are weapons that can harm him – namely, Krypto-tasers. When he get hit with enough of those green glowing shock machines, he’s down for the count. Then he wakes up in a Kryptonite-reinforced cell, and his captor seems bent on making him suffer. What’s a Man of Steel to do?
Basically, he has to hope the women in his life figure out how to rescue him. Fortunately, he’s got quite a team on his side: Kara, Lana and Chloe. Only one problem: Kara still doesn’t have her memories or powers, she’s moved in with Lex, and she’s just about to let our favorite supervillain going poking through her cerebellum. Yipe!
Fortunately, the other two members of Clark’s Angels have that covered.
Lana knows the ins and outs of the Luthor Manor, so she’s able to sneak them in through secret passageways and cut the security. Chloe knows how to track down Clark’s likely prison, and she knows how to use the portal to the Fortress. If they can get there, maybe they can get Jor El to restore Kara’s powers. Chloe’s impassioned speech works, and Kara is hit with what seems like half the season’s special-effects budget. After that lightshow, she’s back in fighting form.
Good thing, too: Pierce, the psycho mercenary who used to work for Lex and now works for Lionel, decides the only good meteor-freak is a dead meteor freak. When Lionel protests, he knocks the billionaire out. Pierce then ramps up the Kyrpto-juice, and Clark is looking like he’s in trouble. Kara picks that moment to burst in – literally, as in “bye bye, door” – and fries the machinery with her eyebeams. Then she heaves Clark’s cage through the viewing booth. Pierce prepares to open fire with the Krypto-taser, but Lionel whacks him on the back of the head, sending him to a pointy spike on the floor and his death.
Now that both our local Kyrptonians have realized the Luthors are up to no good, what to do with Patricia Swann? In theory, she’s a good guy – she gives Clark her father’s journal, which includes a prophecy about how The Traveler – that would be Clark – will change the world. She has every confidence that Clark will live up to the hype. Too bad she won’t be around to see it – her driver executes her cold blood. Lex ends up with her locket, and he’s apparently got world-destroying on his mind. Whoo-hoo!

I cannot believe this is my favorite show!!! Clark Kent is the lead character and was on screen less than 13 minutes!!! How are we going to ever see him become Superman if he keep being irrelevant in his own journey??

Allison Mack aka :Chloe Sullivan was & still awesome!!! Well kudos to all the girls. The epi was nice, & i love the scene when Chloe & kara were in the "fortress. Also, When kara reaped off the prison cage. I feel sorry for Lionel, the guard was a psycho, he was on a mission to killed Clark. If he ad succeeded, if would ad been no less of a monster himself. I bet Lex killed that girl last-nite.

wow. on the one hand i enjoyed it while on the other, well . . . what's up with clark not using his super hearing to realize that he was not alone in the barn? he also has xray eyes. why not use them to see he was being ambushed? it seemed like an elaborate plan to kidnap him. all those "storm troopers" must have been hanging around outside the barn as it were. couldn't clark not have heard all those foot steps?
i enjoyed the various storylines this episode tried to portray but it tried to pack in too much in too little time. i wish they would have waited an episode or two before knocking off swann's daughter.
i still believe there is redemption for lionel. but his past is clearly coming back to haunt him. as for his son, HE's the lost cause. lex has got too much blood on his hands and it's become standard practice for him not to wash them clean.

Girl Power is right! I enjoyed Clark stepping (not really stepping, more like stumbling) aside. That way the chicas can come in and save the day. Go Girls!
Overall, the episode rocked. I still think Allison Mack is the most underrated actress on the show. She's just awesome to me.
