Top Model: Marvita Goes Home
We weren't very surprised to see Marvita heading home last night on America's Next Top Model -- the editing all but gave it away! What DID surprise us was Whitney showing up in the bottom two! Whitney? Really?
But let's backtrack. Before the eliminations, the girls showed off their poses in a fast-paced, Benny Ninja-hosted faceoff and then modeled through layers of neon paint for an edgy photo shoot.
We always love Benny Ninja's no-holds-barred camp, and last night was no exception. Working with supermodel Vendela, he instructed the girls on the difference between commercial and catalogue (we're still not totally sure what it is)... and proceeded to pit them against each other in a rapidfire pose-off. The girls created increasingly outlandish poses (Whitney did the splits, Lauren pretzeled herself into a U) in hopes of becoming challenge winners. Benny and Vendela chose Claire as the ultimate challenge winner, and she won a trip to Bora Bora! We wish we'd seen more of her poses -- she didn't have much camera time in that scene.
In between all that action, Whitney and Dominique found time to get at each others' throats.
Their fight went from bad to worse when Whitney told Dominique she had no reason to respect her -- and Dominique accused Whitney of being racist!
We may have missed something off-camera, but we don't *think* we've seen Whitney be racist... have you? Let us know if we missed something. It seemed kind of out of left field on Dominique's part -- a substance-free insult designed to ruffle feathers, even if there wasn't a grain of truth in it. And it worked; Whitney was furious! The strangest part of the whole fight? The cut to commercial, with Whitney shouting angrily, "Where's the Saran Wrap?"
Fatima also had a fair amount of camera time, but for all her hard work and extra practice sessions, she just barely missed the bottom two again! Her armpit hair didn't help here there... Will she improve, or is she on her way out?
At elimination, we were surprised to see Whitney in the bottom two. Okay, she's sassy and doesn't take a fight sitting down. But does that mean she doesn't want the Top Model prize? We haven't seen anything out of her that indicates she doesn't take the competition seriously. Maybe this was Tyra and Co.'s way of taking Whitney down a few notches -- she certainly does manage to get all the airtime! Anyway, Marvita went home, seemingly defeated. I LOVE Whitney. Dominique looks like a freggin' old lady. She's pretty, sorta.. but SERIOUSLY, she looks like an old lady! Fatima should go away already. And I totally love Claire. Whoo.

I just hope that Lauren will fix her runway walk and win this cycle!
Love the way she takes photo's and i like her personallity.
And YEAH.... Fatima should've shaved =S

I don't think Whitney's comments were racist. Dominique took them to be racist. Allison was racial and you can have a black frined and still be racist. The south is racist despite what Whitney said. Stacey Ann and Kataryzyna(?)need to improve. I like Claire.
