Peyton is just coming into her own.
The Haley/Peyton interaction is only the beginning.
Brooke is still pretty much just "Peyton's best friend" at this point.
Lucas is kinda pissy this ep, but, he's been messed with - a lot! and yeah, he should've taken the money!

Im so looking forward to when you get to 1x15-19 and season 2 and 3. Holy man! :D

At the moment, Nathan doesn't care about her much at the moment.
Remember he says to Peyton
"She means nothing to me."

Since I was one of the ones who said you should watch previous seasons, just feel like I must say my piece that yes, you can still comment, but knowing what came before I think puts everything into a much different perspective. I thought it would be better for Sarah and Mia, that you'd enjoy it more. And more enjoyment equals better podcast and a happier listening world- not that you're podcasts aren't great now as they stand.

I always thought Nathan was screwing around with Haley, kind of just for the hell of it. When you watch the episodes back to back, their relationship feels very rushed and forced and so inorganic. But I don't remember feeling that way when they aired originally, so I don't know. Like Sarah said, knowing how it all ends up, it hard to comment the smaller stuff from before.

Sarah I agree of how Lucas was stupid not accepting Nathan's money because he just heard Keith say that he finds it hard bringing in paying customers and what does he do? turns away a paying customer yea real smart. lol

did you guys go to or watch the charity game? I watched it online and thought it was awesome

aww you guys were hilarious in this podcast LMAO I so would still marry Dan he's so hot lol but I get what you guys mean about Lucas and his pride. I probably would not take the money either though lol. Haleys hat and poncho is the butt end of a joke in S1-3 LMAO this is probably the episode where I fell for NH but I think I fell in love with them in later episodes.

I did love her scene with Lucas in the swing thingy in the back of the house. She was being all bad ass and lucas is just smirking at her drunkenness speaking of drunk how many have you guys had to drink LOL what ever it is please continue because this is more like it in a podcast hahaha

I just love listening to you guys every week and hear your insight. I really think you will enjoy the rest of the season and can't wait to see what you think of Leyton!

1 more thing about Haley's hat (and poncho). It's quickly mentioned in the end of season 2 that her mom knitted them for her. That's why she wore them. :)

I knew you would like this episode! Great podcast! And yes, I think we all WERE Leytoners in the beginning (for a while, like you said). I did like them and really was pulling for them.

That hat that Haley wears will be constantly mocked throughout the first 3 seasons maybe! It's kind of funny. Like you said in a recent podcast, OTH is good at bringing up things from the past and keeping up with continuity!
