Reaper: Welcome to the Rebellion

There was so much to love in this week's Reaper: We learned more about the demonic revolution, we got some quality Sock/Josie time, and Sam and Andi finally made out. Whoo-hoo!

Sock and Sam

We absolutely adore Steve and Tony, the demonic neighbors. Steve is so darn perky! He's so thrilled to be part of the alliance, and so pumped up about his plan to kill the Devil with kindness. It should only take 300 years, 400 tops! He can't understand why Sam might not be thrilled with that timeline.

Tony is less willing to wait -- he wants to use Sam's connection with Satan to lure the Devil into a trap.

Besides, he says, demons aren't supposed to be pacifists! We have to admit, we don't tend to get the warm fuzzies when we think about demons, so he may have a point...

The plan is to have Sam get the Number of the Beast - his cell phone - so they can summon the big guy and kill him with a holy sword. The Devil seems to be in a melancholy mood, and he's treating Sam like his only friend, so Sam's part of the revolt is easy. As for the killing? Well, funny story...

You know how the Devil is really good at plots and betrayal? Turns out he set this whole thing up. He engineered it so Sock would get the place next to Steve and Tony (this week's escaped soul was the previous occupant), and counted on the fact that Sam would sell him out. That's not a real holy sword that Tony's got -- it's a cheap knock-off from Koreatown. He just used Sam, Steve and Tony to get all of the rebellious demons in one place so he could kill them -- even sweet little perky Steve, who didn't want to resort of violence in the first place. But Tony survived the massacre, and we're betting he'll be back to wreak revenge on Sam.

In other news, Andi emerged from the hospital with a renewed lease on life -- she's tired of waiting! She and Sam finally go on a date, which turns into a makeout session on the couch. She's briefly nonplussed when Sam tells her there's a part of his life she can't know about, but she seems willing to accept that. We'll see how long that lasts...

Finally, Sock gives Ted his blessing to ask Josie out, thinking Josie will rip him a new one. When things apparently go well, Sock is shocked -- and he's even more dismayed why Ted shares his theory that Josie likes to date down, to go out with men she feels superior to. What, including me? He storms over to Josie's to have it out with her, and that apparently leads to a reconciliation. Sorry, Ted -- it's not your day.

What did you think? Was this episode worth the wait? Were you expecting more from the demon revolution plotline, or are you happy with the way it turned out? Talk about it in the comments!
